Best breakfast I had on my vacation! The service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant had a nice mellow vibe. My friends (3 of us total) and I enjoyed three dishes to share, the Ube pancake, the Pork Belly Tocino Silog, and the Bistek and Egg. The pancake was the favorite, it had a beyond good flavor and fluffy cakey texture. The Bistek was super tender with a little fat, and super tasty. The Pork Belly was a little tough but still flavorful. The garlic rice and eggs were delicious, and we finished all of the dishes, for a solid brunch for 3 people.
Last meal before I had to head to airport. Located only about half a mile away from my hotel, I took an uber because I was not about to be cold with the drizzle. It's hard to miss them as they're right as soon as you enter the Chinatown arch. They also happen to be inside The Hoxton. It was closer to closing time and they were running low on the pork belly so I got the tosilog. I originally wanted to get the fish. I also got an order of the lumpia. For bevs I got the calamansi soda and their coffee. That pork belly was something. It's clearly a best seller. The eggs were runny as I prefer. I super loved the vinegar dipping sauce. 10/10 vibes I really liked the layout and colorful decor. I noticed there was a bar, but no bartender. It would've been clutch to have a mimosa.
Pamana did not disappoint for my birthday dinner. Our server, Mo, was really welcoming and took care of us like we were family. We ordered Baling's Pandesal, Lumpia, and Beet Kilawin to start. All were great! Then for dinner, we had the Garlic Fried Rice, Grilled Pork Chop and Grilled Prawns! What a feast! For dessert, since it was my birthday dinner, Pamana gifted me Halo Halo! What a treat! Overall, the vibe of the space was chill and classy, the food was delicious and a great rendition of Filipino cuisine. Kudos for opening up dinner service as well! Managing Salamat! P.S. We're coming back for brunch and bringing our family in a few weeks!
Service was amazing! We came around 15 minutes without a reservation on a Sunday and were seated promptly. Food came out very fast. The ube pancakes were the star of the show - they were so moist and bouncy and truly I savored each and every bite. The umami of the congee shone through and the breakfast plate was also delicious but less so in comparison to the ube pancakes. Would definitely come back!
This place has been on my list forever and I'm so happy we finally tried it. It's inside the Hoxton hotel, in a bit of a dicey downtown spot, but it's truly beautifully decorated and expansive inside. It's best to secure a reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes on a Saturday, but it does fill up. We started with the lumpia, which may be the best lumpia I've ever had. I appreciated how big they were, fully stuffed, and fried to perfection. I had seen so many Instagram reels of the pancake and I just needed it and boy did it deliver. It was sooooooooo soft, but the edges had a little crisp. The ube crème anglaise was the perfect addition, not too sweet. This pancake was a delight to eat (and trust me I've had a lot of pancakes). My husband and daughter both had the pork belly Tocino and happily finished it. Overall this place is definitely worth a visit. I would be so happy if this were my hotel restaurant! I'll be dreaming about that pancake until my next visit.
This restaurant residency is on the left side as you walk into the Hoxton hotel. It is a really cute space with nice comfy armchairs as seats, and it has a very warm atmosphere. In my experience today, the staffing was good, and I made a reservation like other reviews suggested but it didn't seem that necessary despite it being Sunday at peak brunch time. As everyone suggested, the pancakes (which use mochiko flour) were the star, and the calamansi soda was tangy and tasty. I felt like the tocino and the arroz caldo were good but I wouldn't need to try them again. I'd be interested in trying the French toast next! Apparently pancakes just barely take the win compared to the French toast but it's a pretty nearly even split in fans, per our server.
This place should be on everyone's MUST TRY brunch list in PDX. First of all, I highly recommend making a reservation. My friend and I tried to do a walk-in, and the wait was over an hour. We ended up just booking a reservation for another day. We were so glad we ended up making a reservation to give this place a try because it was SO delicious. The vibes are absolutely fantastic here. I loved all of the furniture/decor/aesthetics of this place. It's a casual but nice and homey vibe. You feel very comfortable eating here. My friend and I each got the pork belly tocino and then 1 plate of ube pancakes to share. These are the best ube pancakes I've ever had in my entire life. The toasted coconut and berries added with the pancakes were just absolute perfection. The flavors all went together so well. The pork belly tocino was absolutely delicious and fantastic. I'm still thinking about the food from here, and I'm so sad that I don't have this restaurant back in my hometown (Houston). I would definitely come back here again, the next time I ever come back to PDX! Loved this place so much.
Pamana was a fabulous little sport for breakfast! We tried a variety of sweet and savory, everything was tasty. For the silogs we got both the longanisa and pork belly, and for sweets we got the pancakes and French toast! Of the two the pancakes stood out more, but the toast was still a nice not too sweet option. There is tons of seating, lighting and vibe is comfy and upbeat. Staff was all super sweet and knowledgeable, I'd come back!
Disclaimer: I grew up Filipino, so I might be a bit biased coming in. Food: Ube Pancakes (4/5) Soft and fluffy, almost like mochi pancakes. The ube sauce was good, but I wish the flavor was a bit stronger. Corned Beef Silog (4/5) Comes with smaller eggs, but the thick cut corned beef really stands out. Great flavor. The garlic rice was solid too, though it might feel a bit strong if you are used to plain white rice. Turon French Toast (4/5) Thick cut with good plantains on top. It had a slightly chewy, mochi-like texture, which I enjoyed. Ambiance: This is basically in or right next to a hotel, so it has a more opulent, polished feel compared to most Filipino spots. Feels a bit elevated but still comfortable. Good for pairs or groups of four. Service: Friendly and smooth overall. No issues during our visit. Note: The bathrooms are located outside in the hallway and are three single stalls. They are small but clean and well stocked. The accessible one is more spacious and includes a good changing table. Overall, a solid spot for Filipino comfort food with some fun twists on familiar dishes.

Ube foam is very subtle and pairs perfectly with the coconut sprinkles. My friend got the breakfast sando & the potatoes were sooo crispy. Yum. Service was very attentive and friendly. Food took a hot second to arrive and we were only one of two tables present with customers. That being said, this place deserves a larger crowd. Overall, a fabulous Filipino brunch spot inside a charming hotel in Chinatown. Get the pancakes.
For me, I was just tagging along. She knew where she was going and what she wanted! It was fabulous. My favorite thing about finding new food places is when they have options for everyone. Vegan, vegetarian, GF. This place has it all. I had a vegan bowl. I got the something aroz something bowl. It had mushrooms and radish in it. Interesting texture but nothing to keep me away. I slurped / scarfed it down! She said I would regret not having the pancakes. And she was right. Those were so good! Cuz I got to try a bite. They are GF. The owner served us. It's in a hotel. The seating was fabulous. Comfy and cozy sets. You apparently need to have a reservation on weekends. Lunch time was great.
10/10 visit, with amazing food. visiting from SoCal and saw this spot on TikTok. Ube pancakes are a must. so delicious and crispy and fluffy. would 100% go back just for these. one of my fav pancakes I have had. Got the pork belly dish with rice. more on the simple side but tastes like a homemade dish. seasoned and flavored to perfection. staff was friendly, even saw the owner and read their story online, how sweet. inside decor is very nice and clean. Also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches super filling and packed with so much. If ever back in Portland, would def come back here, *Note: entrance is from hotel lobby to the right, you will be redirected if there are staff.
Tried a few items and really enjoyed the overall experience. The ube pancakes were a standout, almost like giant butter mochi. Light, fluffy, and chewy, with a great ube flavor that wasn't overpowering. The hint of mint was an unexpected but really nice touch. The lumpia were perfectly crispy with awesome flavor. The dipping sauce was slightly thick and absolutely delicious - worked really well with the crunch. The longanisa breakfast sandwich was solid overall. It didn't taste like longanisa, at least what I'm used to. But the chilies added a nice kick. The real highlight for me was the potatoes, so crispy and well-seasoned. The place was really empty which was weird, but nice to enjoy ourselves. The service was friendly and quick. It was a little bit till we got utensils but overall good service.

Came here for their Drag Queen Brunch and it was FABULOUS!!! First off, this place is beautiful. What a gorgeous location, everything about it was beautiful inside (I included photos). The show was so fun but the food was really the show stopper! It was sooooooooo good. I tried everything that everyone at our table had and it was all delightful. I could not stop eating my daughter's pancakes dipped in the Ube sauce....it was sooooo good. The french toast was also sooooo good. I had the chicken sandwiich and we all shared the eggplant and lumpia. Everything was so delicious. They had a fixed menu for the special event but they did let us order additional items off their regular menu as well. The service was really great. We will definitely have to come back. read more

3.5/5 cute restaurant located in the hoxton hotel. friendly staff, chill ambience. ordered the pancakes (mochi + ube), lumpia, pork belly tocino, and longanisa loved the pancakes and pork belly dish. i'm not big on actual brunch food so i enjoyed the fusion brunch. the lumpia was crispy but not as flavorful as i'd like and it wasn't fully cooked through. longanisa was okay, a little dry. we all ate the lumpia and unfortunately experienced tummy aches... so docking my experience for that read more

I had such a great experience at Pamana. The service was great! The staff were so friendly and tentative. My server was Julia and she was amazing. Gave me good recommendations of what to order for brunch. The ambiance was cute and quaint. It's in a hotel so it was very modern. Nice set up and it seemed to flow nicely. The food was delicious and not overly complicated. To start I got the Pandesal with the coffee butter and a chai from Deadstock, which you can order at the restaurant. Also, I got the pork belly plate which had two eggs, garlic rice, the protein, and a small portion of cucumbers snd tomatoes. It also came with a couple of sauces I forgot. The pork belly was glazed in a yummy sauce. Really good To finish got the French toast which was so yummy. Pretty simple but delicious. I also had a side of their ube creme anglaise and it was delicious. So purple I loved it. I would definitely go again and make a reservation! read more

Brunched at Pamana today with a group of four and loved it! The place gets busy, so definitely make a reservation if you're coming after 10ish--it fills up fast. We shared the Ube Cream Anglaise Pancakes with Coconut Berries, Pork Belly Tocino, and Mushroom Arroz Caldo. Everything was outstanding. The pancakes were heavenly--made with mochi batter, super fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The ube drizzle and cream anglaise took them over the top. Definitely big enough for sharing. The Pork Belly Silog came with three crispy, slightly sweet pieces of pork belly, a generous serving of garlicky rice, and eggs cooked however you like (we tried scrambled and over-medium--both great). The little veggie salad on the side (cucumbers, onions, cherry tomatoes in a fish sauce vinaigrette) balanced the richness perfectly. Pro tip: try it with a little banana ketchup if you're feeling adventurous! The Mushroom Arroz Caldo was pure comfort--rich, savory, and looked satisfying but we did add hot sauce to spice it up a bit. Overall, a fantastic Filipino-American brunch spot with great flavors and portions to match. Can't wait to come back and try more! read more

AMAZING FOOD. This restaurant is delicious and serves amazing Filipino food - Filipino approved! You must try the ube pancakes, they have perfectly crisp edges and fluffy + chewy inside. The ube sauce had a strong ube flavor as well which blew my expectations. The staff was wonderful and checked up on us regularly. The interior was very spacious with many seating and had a peaceful ambiance. 10/10 would come again. read more
A new Filipino brunch spot over on Burnside, inside the Hoxton hotel. Vibes were impeccably modern yet cozy. Love how open but still moody the space is. Plenty of seatings of different sizes. They're still relatively new so we didn't have problems snagging a table on a Sunday but I'm sure that will change soon. The Lumpias were so crispy and filled with very flavorful pork filling. We also shared the Crispy Eggplant with Garlic Rice. A unique breakfast dish with lots of fun side condiments. My favorite was the Longanisa Sandos though. The Pandesal bun was so good! And the sausage patty was very fresh ans flavorful, perfect with their runny egg and creamy sauces. We already know what we'd like to get next time so we'll for sure be back! read more
i was looking for this place for 5 minutes because i missed the sign that said it is inside the hoxton hotel. hopefully my review will help someone find it more quickly. the space is very nice and open. i love their style of decor and the wide windows. there was also a lunar new year parade happening outside which was fun to as it passed. the service could've been better. our server was very nice but slow at checking on us and i had to ask for the water to be filled. even then, they only filled one pitcher even though we had another empty one. despite this, the food was very good. i was very surprised at how much i enjoyed it. my burger was not too greasy yet juicy. i got it with no cheese, light sauce, and chili on the side which ended up being delicious. the only thing i would recommend is adding some sort of vegetable to the burger, such as arugula, to balance the flavors and give it more of a fresh taste while making it healthier. i also had a bite of the mochi pancake which was sooooo good. it was such a perfect texture and it wasn't too sweet either! i originally ordered their version of an old fashioned (forgot what it was called) but it was super strong in alcohol. the drink supposedly featured some coconut flavors, but i did not taste any of that. i let our server know and the bartender made me a new drink based on what i like, which was a nice personal touch. i really appreciated that and i'm happy they accommodated to my preferences. i definitely recommend checking this place out! read more
Such good food! We both ordered the silogs with pork belly and it was so yummy! Easily one of tbe best brunches I have had in a while. There is a ton of seating and the vibe is great in there. The staff were also super kind and helpful. I also like that there was a photo booth near by, unfortunately it was out of order when we went, but I guess that just means we need to come back again soon! read more

Very good Filipino food in Portland! I came for 2 occasions once for dinner and another time for brunch. When I went for dinner I tried their sisig and lumpia. Their sisig was really good! I do like the brunch items more though. When I went for brunch I tried the pancakes and pork belly tocino which were exceptional! Would totally recommend for something flavorful and homey! read more
Pamana is a newer Filipino-inspired eatery in the Burnside area located right inside the Hoxton Hotel. There are some parking lots with paid parking or street parking all around the area. Inside, they have a very modern and gorgeous interior with a good amount of seating. Reservations are highly recommended so plan accordingly. Wifey and I stopped by for their weekend brunch with our friends and we had a 11am reservation. For their menu, they have a solid selection of different appetizers, sandos, and silogs to choose from. We ended up trying the Turon French Toast, Crispy Eggplant Silog, Longanisa Sando, and the Calamansi Soda. Overall, everything that we had tasted delicious with some comforting yet imaginative Filipino flavors. All of the staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Definitely book your next reservation for a meal here and you will not regret it! read more

Food was delicious. Would absolutely come here again. I got the Pork Belly Tocino and that was the perfect meal after a long day of hiking the day before - though I was there was a little bit more rice (1 or 2 more spoons). The pork belly was sticky and sweet and the rice balanced the meal well. The ube pancake and chicken sandwich were as expected. It was good, but wouldn't be the main reason for me coming back. I didn't try the crispy eggplant or omelette, but my vegetarian friends who had the eggplant said it was the best and they are most definitely coming back to get it again. The place was understaffed which is absolutely understandable for a new business, but the staff they had were very kind! The place was beautiful. Loved the decor. read more

Another moment where I wish half stars were allowed because 4.5 is definitely more appropriate! Swung by Pamana for a Sunday brunch around 10:30 am -- there was about a 15 min wait for a table which I was totally prepared for so no worries! I figured I could swing by the cafe in the lobby to grab a latte in the meantime but got called for our table faster than the cafe line was moving. Blessing in disguise because I was HANGRY. My friend and I decided to just order a few items and share including the veg lumpia, the ube pancakes, the mushroom adobo omelette, and the fried eggplant. I did also ask to sub the kamatis with fried potatoes instead (included an upcharge, but my vegetarian self was trying to avoid the fish sauce but also I love potatoes l o l). They also gave us some sriracha and spicy vinegar (which I was obsessed with, me and vinegar are bffs). The savory dishes were all delish and I particularly loved the garlic fried rice with the fried eggplant and a little dash of vinegar. The potatoes were also HEAVENLY. The mushroom adobo omelette was tasty and the lumpia was good but a taaad salty. Maybe it was my sweet tooth acting up but the star for me were the ube mochi pancakes because they were perfectly sweet with a great ube flavor and just had the best bouncy texture. Could absolutely put that away again without a doubt l o l Drinks wise they have a couple of offerings here which we didn't try. There's also black coffee, but all other specialty drinks are from the cafe. My only other qualm was our to go order which was the pork belly; I once again subbed potatoes for the kamatis since my husband dislikes kamatis, but once I got home I discovered that they left out the garlic rice as well? Was a bit bummed about that since it was delicious and I felt bad bringing him an incomplete meal. Prices are fair for the quality and service was really sweet. All in all, a great addition to the brunch scene and I can see myself visiting again. Parking is street parking which can get dicey in this area during more popular hours. read more
Located inside Hoxton hotel, this cute brunch spot is a must try! We went on a Sunday around 1pm, found parking right away, and were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Our server quickly greeted us & was knowledgeable about menu items. Even recommended the coffee shop around the corner. We ordered the Ube pancakes ($17) and the Pork Belly Tocino ($18). The Ube pancakes were the best pancakes I've ever had. There was none of the flourey taste or dryness that pancakes sometimes have & the Ube flavor was perfect. We traveled from Seattle and went for our Sunday brunch reservation and boy was it packed! Be sure to follow what their website says folks; make a resy if you plan to go on the weekends. Service was great! Even during this very busy day, we felt taken care of, were checked up on, got our coffee refills, etc. We ordered their corned beef silog, crispy tortang talong silog, turon french toast, and pandesal with both butters (shout out kopiko coffee butter). Still dreaming about the crispy tortang talong. If you're looking for authentic Filipino food, go to your mom/Auntie's house. If you want Filipino food inspired by the hearts and stories of two incredible Filipino Americans, go to Pamana. With an open heart and hungry taste buds, you won't regret it. read more

We were looking for a brunch spot close to downtown and this was a spot that had been showing up on TikTok a lot. At 10:50 am we were able to reserve a table for 11:15. When we arrived we were greeted right away by very friendly staff who sat us at a great corner booth table. The restaurant had a very nice fresh vibe. The colors are natural, the music was great (a cover of Barry White was playing), and the place was very clean. We weren't sure what to order and the waitress was very helpful with helping us decide. We knew we wanted the pancakes with ube sauce (AMAZING!!) and I ended up getting the omelette with garlic rice and my companion got the silog with pork belly. The omelette had very flavorful mushrooms, for me the flavor was too much. The garlic rice was yummy and the pork belly I tasted was good. It was solid food, but not exciting. He pancakes made our brunch. The bar was not open, which was a surprise for brunch. And I will say that the table next to us got the French toast and that looked super yummy too. Basically go for a solid authentic Filipino silog and the sweets! read more
The spot is in China town, kind of hidden within a hotel. We were able to get seating right away on a Saturday. Servers were very eager to serve, and made sure to check up on us lots! My friends and I got to share the Ube pancake, which is gluten free, it was quite tasty. Pancakes had a slight mochi texture and was crispy on the outside, not too sweet. We each got a plate of the pork belly tocino. They ask how we like our eggs and the food was yummy! Overall place is spacious and there are restrooms inside. It was our first time for Filipino breakfast. Ube pancakes, amazing! I had the steak and eggs with garlic rice. Also solid. We had a fairly quick visit before heading out to hike in Hoyt arboretum and were served quickly and had a delicious breakfast! Would absolutely return when visiting Portland. read more

Brunch at Pamana was a really fun experience and a great way to enjoy a modern take on some classic Filipino breakfast dishes. There's a paid parking lot conveniently located across the street, which made getting there pretty easy for a busy brunch spot. The space itself is super cute, with warm decor and some fun couch seating that makes it feel cozy and relaxed rather than overly formal. Food-wise, the ube pancakes were a standout. They had a great texture -- slightly crispy on the outside with an almost mochi-like interior. I also really appreciated that the ube sauce came on the side so we could pour it ourselves and keep the pancakes from getting soggy. The turon French toast was another highlight and definitely leaned toward the sweeter side, making it a great brunch treat to share. Our favorite bite of the meal, though, was the bistek. The meat was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the garlic rice -- simple but incredibly satisfying. For drinks, I'd definitely recommend the calamansi soda. It was light, refreshing, and balanced the richness of the food really well. Overall, a delicious brunch with thoughtful dishes and a cozy atmosphere. I went with a friend during the weekend since I never have the time to go out weekends for brunch. I got the chance to try out Pamana the Filipino brunch place and it was amazing. We went right when it was opened and the food was delicious. Next time we will have to try other stuff such as the Bisteak and eggs. The service was friendly and quick even though it was a bus morning. I love the ambiance of the area because you can get coffee as well with a separate coffee vendor inside the restaurant. read more

Let's just say food is fine but SERVICE SUCKS - HOSTESS. Had reservation at 12:15pm. Arrived at 12pm and there were so many empty tables. They said wait and they will call us since our table was still being used. We waited. 12:18pm and no one called us. Had to ask them when they can have us seated and they gave us the table which was VACANT at 12pm. There were 3 hostess and the place was not even big. REALLY???!!!! This GIRL IN ALL BLACK DRESS (HOSTESS) gave me a DIRTY LOOK WHILE WE WERE WAITING FOR OUR TABLE. VERY RACIST! SHE WAS VERY NICE TO WHITE SKINNED PEOPLE AND WAS NOT THE SAME WITH ASIAN ONES. All the hostess there were HORRIBLE! They hated their job and wouldn't even smile. The only one welcoming was our server. FOOD It was good. Had Ube pancake and daing silog. Ambiance - wouldn't go back here again. Service needs an upgrade! read more

I have yet to try their brunch but they recently added their dinner menu and it was SO good. I was not expecting it. The Salmon in the Sinigang was so crispy and the dish itself was really flavorful. The Laing was so creamy, never had collard greens prepped that way. Pork Sisig did not disappoint. Have been recommending it to friends ever since I went. Everybody who works there were also super nice and super cool. read more
