Street parking available and a gender-neutral restroom, which is always appreciated. We came for dinner even though this spot seems more known for brunch. It wasn't too busy, and we had a big party; really appreciated that they gave the celebrants complimentary desserts, which was a nice touch. The pandan rice cake with ube ice cream was a my favorite. We called earlier and they got reservations available to be made. The pho was perfect for the chilly weather. The broth was strong and flavorful, and the chicken was cooked well. My friend got the noodles with crispy chicken and mushrooms, and those were phenomenal. The Vietnamese platter would honestly make a perfect date-night meal. This has great variety and fun to share. The fries and wings were flavorful appetizers and a great way to start the meal. Service was great overall, but a bit hands-off after the food was served. I don't remember anyone checking back in on us. Nothing was wrong with the food, but it would've been nice to have that quick follow-up. Would definitely come back, especially to check out their brunch next time.

I know "fusion" is a dirty word to some, but in a city w/ so many classic pho/banh mi spots it's nice to see some fresh twists (tho they do have pho & banh mi but I'd recommend trying some of their other unique dishes). I went for dinner the first time and had the miso braised short ribs w/ mashed potatoes & their fish sauce wings & both were excellent. The short ribs were pulled off the bones and delectably fall apart tender and savory & I normally don't care at all bout mashed taters but they paired very nicely w/ some charred brussel sprouts throughout. The wings were great too, I always order fish sauce wings at any place I go that has them and these rank up there as some of the best I've tried. The brunch I didn't like as much but I'm also not a big brunch guy. We got the pandan waffle w/ berries & sizzling beef and egg. Both were fine but the beef & egg was a bit too heavy/salty gravy for me. If u like biscuits&gravy or like stroganoff dishes I think you'd like it tho. I took most of it home cuz I thought it'd be much more delicious tossed up with some noodles but someone ate it before I could try. I def recommend choosing baguette over rice w/ it to soak up that gravy. The waffle was also good but don't know if I could tell it apart from any other waffle if it wasn't green lol.

Came here for a bridesmaid brunch. Very cute and spacious interior, but the floors are quite slippery. Ordered coffee flights and they were overall decent, but it was fun trying different flavors. The pandan waffles were yummy and the chicken had the perfect crisp to it. The ube butter toast had a very nice strong ube flavor but somewhat underwhelming since it was just hawaiian rolls with ube sauce. Service was on the slower end, but we did come on a Saturday at 11:30am and the server was very nice

Wanted to also leave a review for their brunch. Unsurprisingly, it was also fantastic. They were very short staffed due to a call in today but they did their best with what they had to work with. Ube toast was absolutely wonderful but everything was delicious. Get there early or book a res, people know about it now and it can get very busy!

This was a wonderful find during our trip to Portland! I had the veggie noodle bowl and it was filled with non typical veggies - bok choy, turnip, special mushroom and more! The broth was also very flavorful! My sweetie got a beef noodle bowl and it was delicious too! The happy hour potstickers with peanut sauce were to die for. Service wea excellent too. Run, don't walk to this gem!

An An is a top destination for Asian/Viet Brunch food! I ordered the house garlic noodles w/ chicken katsu, a Vietnamese fusion dish but with a twist! The chicken was crunchy/crispy and moist/plenty flavorful. The noodles were seasoned with intricate flavors and accompanied in their secret sauce makes the whole dish salty/sweet/rich! The whole restaurant gives off this clean modern aesthetics that's a pleasure to be eating in. Staff were super kind and helpful, always checking up on us!

This restaurant sold us on o Portland where the food scene is concerned. We are considering a move to Portland, and happened to be in town for a funeral. We LOVE Vietnamese food, and so I took the job to scour Yelp for the best option to heart. An A did not disappoint. A woman who I believe to be the owner or manager was very genuinely invested in us enjoying our meal/providing feedback. All we could say was it was a perfect 10/10. I really loved my pandan viet coffee. So delicious. Brought me right back to life after a red eye. Wish I had been rested and hydrated enough to try the cocktails. We had the chicken sandwich and the meatballs. The true star was the pork belly appetizer.

Great coffee, drinks, and service. No wait for weekday brunch/lunch. Good mix of Asian fusion dishes and kid friendly menu. More menu options for dinner time. Love the plant straws, colored napkins, and the mix of modern, hip, and Asian vibes.

I really enjoy Vietnamese food since I have already visited the country, but I've never tried brunch with Vietnamese flavors before! We found this place on social media, and it was easy to make a reservation. My husband and I decided to come for Sunday brunch, and we were blown away by how tasty the food was. I ordered Vietnamese iced coffee, which was excellent. I also had the pandan waffles with chicken--they were delicious. I just wish the waffle was a little softer and fluffier. We also tried Vietnamese beef and eggs, which were really good too! They served some fantastic mocktails as well. The service was great and very friendly. We wanted to try the coffee flight, but we were already full! We'll definitely be back soon to try other dishes on the menu.

Came here on a Saturday for brunch. I was not expecting how roomy this place is. I really dig the chill vibe here. Ube waffle - nice color and fluffy. Ube coffee is super delicious. It's your typical Vietnamese iced coffee with Ube flavoring, which added a nice earthy tone to this drink.

Presentation: 4/5 (nice display of food, pretty aesthetic) Tastiness: 3/5 (Overall, my chicken ube waffle dish with a couple of fruits felt underwhelming. Chicken meat was dry. I also thought there'd be more fruits) Value: 3/5 (definitely small portion size for the price) Service: 2/5 (friendly workers but were not attentive at all. Didn't check up on us, maybe it was us being at the corner table. Had to sit and wait for a while before we could ask for the bill) Cleanliness: 4/5 (Clean and well-maintained) Noise level: Moderate

I ate with my colleagues who are in Portland for a conference. An Uber driver recommended this place. What a wonderful experience! We started with salt and pepper shrimp on our server's recommendation. Delicious! I had grilled chicken An A special that was so tasty. Their house sauce is delightful, spicy, sweet, and tart. I had the Lotus dessert that was truly lovely. Not too sweet, which I appreciate. I had the Sake cooler, which was refreshing and absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is bright and friendly. Our server was kind and helpful without hovering. I highly recommend you check it out!

    Grilled Pork Banh Mi

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers for recommending this restaurant! We brought our pups with us and sat outdoors on the back patio. Started out with the Vietnamese iced coffee and salt and pepper chicken wings, delicious! For our entrees, we ordered the chicken katsu rice bowl with coconut rice, grilled pork banh mi, house garlic noodles with tempura shrimp and beef rib pho. Everything was amazing! Double chef kisses! To end the meal, we shared the sweet lotus. If ever in the area, this is a Must Try!

Pandan Waffle, 10/10 not to sweet but great flavor profile.

An order of spring rolls were also ordered, but wasn't in the photo. It was ordered with crispy pork belly. Based on some reviews, I was skeptical about ordering the pork belly, but I was pleasantly surprised. The skin was very crispy and you could hear the crunch from across the restaurant. The restaurant is very open with big windows, but I liked the concept of the open kitchen look. The service was really good. Downtown Portland's hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese!…read more I was walking around downtown Portland and stumbled upon Cuốn Vietnamese Street Food, and honestly, it was the best meal of my week . If you are looking for fresh, flavorful, and satisfying comfort food, do not walk--run to this spot. To get the full experience, we ordered a variety, and every single item was a hit. We started with the Beef Pho, and the broth was the absolute star. It was rich, aromatic, and deeply savory, clearly simmered for hours. It was the perfect dish on a sunny Portland day. We also grabbed a Chicken Banh Mi. The bread had that perfect crispy crust with a soft, airy crumb, and the chicken was grilled to perfection with fresh veggies and herbs. Of course, we had to wash it all down with a creamy, sweet Thai Tea--it was delicious and the perfect end to the meal. Beyond the food, the vibe is great. It's a super clean, casual spot with big windows letting in lots of natural light. It's set up for quick counter service, which makes it perfect for a fast lunch downtown, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming that you feel right at home. It's a family-run business, and you can taste the passion in the food. Highlights: · The Pho Broth: Seriously some of the best in the city. · The Banh Mi: Fresh bread, great fillings. · The Service: Fast, efficient, and incredibly kind. Pro Tip: Don't forget to grab your own utensils and sauces (the chili crisp is a must for the pho), and help yourself to the free self-serve hot tea. It's the little touches like that which make this place a winner. I am already planning my next trip back to try the Crispy Pork Belly. Highly recommend

Positives: fresh, well made, very flavorful proteins. Cons:…read morePrice I tried Cuon for the first time and enjoyed it. I went for a Vermicelli bowl where you get to pick 2 proteins. I selected Pork Belly (their specialty) and lemongrass chicken. The bowl itself is standard Vietnamese fare, nothing special, creative or exciting in that sense. That said, the ingredients tasted fresh and the proteins were very well seasoned and cooked. The pork belly skin had an awesome crunch and you can clearly taste the lemongrass in the chicken. The included spring roll had nice crunch but little flavor. Unfortunately, outside of Pho, Banh Mi and Noodle Bowls, there's sadly not much else to the menu. No Vietnamese salads, stir frys, etc. Either way, what they do make, they seem to make quite well. So, on to my main issue ie, that for a place thats only open for lunch, the prices are a bit too high. I noted about $16 for a Banh Mi sandwich, no sides. Pho was around $20 and my noodle bowl was about $20 as well. Weirdly, its about the same prices as eating lunch back home in Miami, a FAR more expensive city in general. In fact, I've often had more exciting Vietnamese in Manhattan for lower prices. So while its easy to recommend Cuon on quality, its not a top recommendation for lunch value in the PDX which is why Im docking 1 star.

Only downside is that the oysters are pretty small. Next was Pho Cuon Tay Ho. Meat was a bit dry and the rice roll is a bit too thick for me, personally. Sauce could've enhanced the dish but tasted like your typical hoisin. Bun Cha was really good too. Pork had the perfect ratio of lean and fat and fish sauce really helped cut through the richness, pretty flavorful and authentic to Northern Viet style. Also, the amount of noodles and herbs were on point. The Ga Rang Muoi was also really good too. This spot does a great fry on the chicken, crispy on the outside but still tender and juicy inside. It's in between a wet and dry batter, but seasoning was perfect on the batter. The sauces went well with the chicken too since they give you a bit of everything. One thing to be aware of: the chicken has a lot of bones. Overall, this joint has authentic Northern Viet food and most dishes were smacking, would definitely come again. Service was pretty good and attentive. Inside vibes are reminiscent of Vietnam, with the table and chairs.

On a recent visit, the kitchen delivered dish after dish of genuine character. The Sautéed Morning Glory arrived garlicky and wok-charred, still clinging to its crisp snap. The clams swam in a fragrant, peppery broth that begged to be sopped up with the impossibly long, airy fritter (quẩy) --a textural triumph. The Mai Dich Bun Cá, a turmeric-tinted noodle soup from Hanoi's outskirts, was a revelation: light, tangy, and brimming with fresh dill. Even the Vegan Roll, often an afterthought elsewhere, sang with mint and crunchy vegetables. And the Vietnamese Banana Cake, warm and caramelized, provided a gentle, sweet finale. So why only four stars? The service. Our wait person was noticeably short and impatient-rushing orders, brushing off questions, and making the meal feel transactional rather than welcoming. In a city and cuisine that thrive on hospitality, this dissonance stung. The food is worthy of a pilgrimage. Just brace yourself for a front-of-house experience that doesn't match the kitchen's warmth.
