A medium size restaurant with around 10 tables inside. They could accommodate most size parties. You have the choice to order from your table or leverage an interactive menu with the hostess. This seems to be a popular food delivery kitchen and they are built for it. It slowed the internal service but still fairly efficient.

Lua has turned into fast food style self serve ~ self qrcode ordering, pre-tip, self water & utensils. Tables not clean. This is all tolerable but the last couple times the staff was not in a good mood. This makes the pre-tip unjustified IMO. Asian beer gone and chicken tastes different.

3.5 stars* The restaurant is set up that you order by phone or the screen, serve yourself water, get your utensils, etc. we ordered the soft bun with bbq pork. It was ok- the meat was cold and kept slipping out the bun. The pickled veggies aren't as tangy as I would've liked. Unfortunately, they were out of the crispy pork. The rice noodles with lemongrass chicken was pretty good, but I wish it came with some mint leaves. The beef wrapped in betel leaves had a nice grilled flavor and liked it with the chili. The portions were good size- I left stuffed! The tables felt sticky and not clean. It's a pretty good place for a quick lunch, but the ambiance wouldn't match for a nice dinner.

Randomly came across this place after a doctors appointment. When you enter you can choose a place to sit and place your order through your mobile or you can do the self service order tablet up front. We both got their egg noodle dish, jalapeño butter chicken, and bbq pork buns. The food is just AMAZING and bursting with flavor. So clean and fresh and the presentation was just beautiful. My husband LOVED the chicken wings. A new twist to just getting fish sauce chicken wings. I really enjoyed the noodle dish. I don't normally turn to noodle dishes because either the noodles are under/over cooked. But this dish was just breath taking. We've tried different entrees the next few visits. And everything just taste amazing. Hands down my favorite dish is their egg noodle.

The food here was unreal and the portions were really big for the price. The only thing I didn't love was the sort of self service aspect (order with the QR code, pick up your own food trays when they're ready etc). We had a big group so it was a little cumbersome and some of the trays could have been too heavy for some of our party if they were alone. That said, the Pokémon decor was charming and again, the food was incredible!

Two people, 2 entrees, 2 appetizers, might have been a bit ambitious on our part but well worth the over full feeling after. Delicious with a capital D! A nice casual spot with fresh, timely (not too fast not too slow. Just right for a fresh meal) service. We ordered the lemongrass pork lettuce wrap with wavy noodles. It may sound silly but the noodles stole the show. All of it together was so satisfying though. The sweet chili chicken wings were crunchy and super flavorful also. Bun noodle salad with shrimp was gorgeous! And wontons in chili oil was quite decadent. So packed with pork and chive filling and silky smooth. Just spicy enough. Can't wait to overindulge here again!

I ove this place. Some of the most flavorful Viet food you can get in Portland, in my opinion. They don't have Pho, but their menu is substantial with everything else. They have the tabletop QR code menu system, so you can just walk in, grab a table, and order.

I'm visiting from out of town! In case you're wondering about parking, it's slim pickings, and it's only street parking. I had to park a bit away and walk in the rain, but it was worth it. The food was wonderful! I ordered the egg roll noodle bowl (very flavorful) with the butterfly pea matcha milk tea (almost too pretty to drink, make sure to stir). There's a neat ordering system where you order on a website at the table. I had some trouble getting the transaction to go through, but it finally worked. There's also a bar if you want some alcohol. The vibe is airy and spacious. My server was approachable. I would come back for sure... as long as parking wasn't too difficult!

    Cheers!

We came in with a group of 6 right when they reopened for dinner at 4:30pm and got a table easily. We wanted to place one big order, but the QR codes at the table to order off of makes you pay right away, which didn't make sense since it was all going on one card. We also had some older folks who preferred a paper menu, but we could only find two copies that they had to share. All of the silverware, napkins and water were self serve. We also bussed our own tables, but eventually the area to put dishes was completely full and we had no more room on our table for the food that was still coming out. The workers were nice, but clearly didn't have time for any service outside of ringing us up or cooking. The food was good and the prices were decent. They had a ton of vegetarian options. The tofu bahn mi had a ton of flavorful tofu, but lacked variety and portions of the pickled veggies and toppings. I've definitely had better. The tofu bao was pretty much identical, but in a bao bun, which was light and fluffy. I would go back, but not to sit in and eat, just for take out.

I normally get the Black Oil Tonkotsu Ramen, which is awesome, really good. I also tried the Pad Thai once, which was good, not great. A bit too much sauce for me. And then one other time, I got the fried rice with a soy sauce egg in it and that was really good. But, if you're looking for a good ramen, the black oil tonkotsu is a good one to get. Really good service, too. They get the food out quick and are friendly and helpful.

It did not disappoint, we ordered the tom yum soup, the black oil ramen, and their mandarinian chicken. The tom yum soup was just as lemony, spicy, and salty as you'd like it to be! Very delicious with all toppings. I'm not an egg fan but forgot to remove it. -eggs were not thrown out yet recycled to my bf lol The black oil tonkotsu ramen was sooo tasty, very rich. Again, a must try. The mandarinian chicken was very delicious! It's a chicken katsu style cut. The breading was addicting to eat. I loved its soft and crunchy texture! The raid tea paired delicious with everything The service was friendly. Very cute Asian bistro element. Their ac isn't the best, they have lots of fans. Didn't really bother us though. Ya know! ‍ we will be back!

The meat on the luc lac has a nice char on it and a sauce that is almost sweet. Service is quick and the vibe inside is very trendy with colorful decor and lights. Great for a night out. Previous visits have sometimes left us confused as if we ordered something different than a usual so i would say it is not too consistent but great if you catch it on a good day.

They took our drinks order and handed the drinks while we were in the line. Once we got to the register, we put in our food order and paid. The restaurant was semi self served. We got to our table few minutes after ordering. Guests also had the option to order to go and dine in the tent tables outside. The interior of the place was so stunning. There were dragon on walls, umbrellas in the ceiling, a huge full service bar. Our dishes came out within few minutes. We got the chicken skewers, chicken pho, chicken luc lac and steak rolls. We liked the small plate dishes, but the entree ones were disappointing. The chickens were chunky and dry, bland flavor. As much as we loved the vibe of the place, we didn't enjoy the food as much. The staff members were very joyful and friendly. They were explaining the process to every guest and keeping everyone informed on waiting time. During dining, they were also available to help.

Standout MUST ORDER appetizers for your time here are "garlic wok mussels" and "steak tartare". Mussels are incredibly well seasoned in what I see as an asian fusion type of soy sauce/hosin. Great tasting mussels, no sand and not overpowering sauce. The steak tartare was the standout, they handled the raw ingredients very well and milk bread complimented it very well. As for the entree, I had the 10z grilled Ribeye. It's greatly plated, I love the addition of the sauce, salt and wasabi. It came with pickled greens and salads. But for a high end restaurant, I was a bit dissatisfied and disappointed by the ribeye itself, it was hard to eat since it was abnormally very "CHEWY" which is not normal for a high cut steak. Although the 10z ribeye was the "best value" for your dollar due to its portions compared to other dishes, it being very chewy knocks Janken down as a whole for me. I want to preface I ordered it as medium rare. The highlight of my meal was the matcha tiramisu, wok mussels, and steak tartare. For a high end restaurant, I would say majority of your dollars goes into the aesthetic and nice atmosphere of the place since its accompany with a nice cherry blossom tree and great attentive staff. Food wise... definitely went into the plating and aesthetics, I can recommend ordering from the ITAMEMONO, and hot/cold section. I can't recommend any other dishes though, that'll be up to y'all to try. What stops Janken from getting a 5 stars from me is a defining must order "entree".

After I read reviews about Portland's Chinatown, I searched for a dimsum place outside of Chinatown and found Jade Rabbit I liked the name of the place and saw that they had two kinds of rabbit-shaped dimsum! Another cool thing is that their menu is vegan... that means that I don't have to worry about dairy products that give me pain. We found free street parking about a half a block away and waited for Jade Rabbit to open at 11am. We didn't have reservations, but we're seated immediately. The decor was great! I enjoyed looking at all of the Rabbit figurines! The furniture was colorful and the convenient restroom had interesting decorations, too! The service was okay. Some items were not available and our server recited the list that included chow funn. Shucks! She came back later and said that the chow funn was, in fact, available... yay! Our server seemed a bit nervous as her hand shook and placed the special menu upside-down... LOL! We won't bite you! She recommended the Ube Jam drink - it was made with coconut cream... yes! The chow funn was a bit bland. We added some soy sauce. The Puto Pao Bunny Bao had an unusual flavor - maybe the brown sugar can be omitted because the black garlic and vegan pork might be fine without it? The Jade Rabbit Dumplings also could be more savory. Something was off... and the filling was a bit sparse. Anyway, maybe we could have ordered better, but we got what we wanted! Thank you for the cute food! Note: 22 percent is added to the bill - so no need to tip.
