I get my nails done a few times a year. I do not go regularly because it is hard to find someone that does what I ask for so I have stopped trying. However I thought I would try again and stopped into this place near my home. Kenny was my nail tech and he did an amazing job. Listened to what I wanted and asked me questions to make sure he and I were on the same page. I loved my nails! John did my nails and I was very pleased with them. However, I did ask for Henry because someone referred me to the salon based on his work. I feel they should have told me he wasn't available instead of ignoring my request. I didn't learn the old switch-a-roo had been pulled on me until my pedicure tech (Chris) was different and not good or thorough. He was barely ok. I really wanted to like this place because it was so close to my house! The man who was working the desk did my nails. He cut me and my fingers were bleeding. I have had gels done lots of times and I just felt like he didn't really know what he was doing. My gels started chipping within 2 days. I did call them and they had me some in and they fixed what was chipping. Maybe it was just one really bad person who worked there, but I definitely don't want to real coming back and have the same thing happen to me. read more

After reading other reviews on this salon I tried to give it a shot because I am home from college for the holidays. I made an appointment 2 days in advance with Kenny (again, thanks to Yelp) and he was fantastic. He assisted me in making the right choice for my nails as my natural nails are not in the greatest condition and he helped me make a choice that would supposedly last longer with out any chips. It was the first time I had chosen to do the colored dip rather than polish and I am so happy with it! He is also sure to make sure that you get what you want with both shape and color!! I have been going here for several years. The only negative I would give is that sometimes I have to wait to be seen even though I have an appointment. Everyone is very nice and they try to accommodate me however as I said, appointments should matter. They should never "double" book someone. That being said, Kenny is my go to for my nails. Im not sure if i will be back after my last visit. The last couple of times i left feeling pretty disappointed. I realize i come in on a busy Saturday due to the fact that i work during the week and i am usually very understanding of long wait times but it is very frustrating when even the manager who did my nails constantly gets up and and is constantly on his phone. The last time i had my nails done literally 6 people took part in doing my nails. I'm not even exaggerating...i counted. The first few times i came to this location, Kenny did my nails and i was very impressed. Paula also did my eyebrow waxing and she was very nice and did a great job. First bad experience. Used to them closing at 7 pm. Didn't realize they closed at 6 on weekdays. Still got seen and was told i wouldn't be rushed. I was rushed. I love coming and seeing Kenny to do my nails. I always make an appointment because I have very little time available to get my nails done. I am going to find another salon as the last 4 times I have come in I have had to wait as long as an hour because the management will put someone with Kenny before I walk in the door. I make appointments for a reason and I just can't continue to not have my appointment times disrespected. I complained the last time I was in and called at 1pm and asked when Kenny was going to be available next. I was told 2pm and I sit here at now 2:15 still waiting.! I love how great my nails look and how long they look fresh but my time is valuable so this is my last visit. So angry!! read more

Came here with an appointment and waited 15 minutes. They took two people without an appointment before me. Got a full set manicure and it was painful the WHOLE time. Not relaxing what so ever. She kept cutting my fingers until they bled. The last cut she was digging her nail into it and then put glue into it. After my nails were done I noticed that some dead bleeding skin from my cut had been put into the nail polish. I asked her to fix it and she just put a very thin layer of nail polish over it. I can still very much see it. Beautiful color though. Nails weren't done too well either. Every nail has at least one mess up. She gave me $4 off at the end which is good I guess. Since writing my last review of Palace Nails, I've visited twice more on a walk-in basis, with minimal waiting, and received excellent service both times. The nail technicians were friendly & did a great job! They seemed happy to be there and showed the customer engagement I was seeking. Management showed respect & appreciation for my comments, as can be seen by their response below, and also took the time to personally address my concerns with me during my most recent visit. Had a gel manicure and pedicure yesterday and was very impressed! I told Kenny exactly what I wanted and he did just that, my nails look awesome. They did not burn my feet, hurt or cut my hands and the atmosphere was really nice. They have several pedicure stations as well as nail stations and it was very clean. (I love that they have the disposable liners for the pedicures). I will be going back!! read more

I have been a customer since moving out this way 4 years ago. I usually go every two weeks for manis and pedis. The last few times I've come my pedi and manis have not been great. They rush through and my nails chip quickly. Tonight was the topper. My husband and I came in for a pedi at 4:30. We checked in only to be told they were too busy and to come back tomorrow. Needless to say we left and will not ever return. That's just poor customer service. We headed to Lavish nails across the street. They were so welcoming and we had absolutely FANTASTIC pedis. I was looking for a new shop and tried this place by chance. Amazing! I, of course, had no appointment but received a pleasant greeting and was seated immediately. Kim was incredible! Friendly, funny, and skilled. She was able to satisfy all of my needs: full set - coffin shaped, deluxe pedicure, and eyebrow wax. She is a true professional - she knew when to talk but knew, during the massage portion of me pedicure, to be quiet while I relaxed. I know her schedule and will ABSOLUTELY be back! I don't recommend this place at all. First time in, I walked in and the lady was just sitting on her phone and I didn't know what to do so I was the one that said this was my first time, what do I do? The lady seemed irritated and got off her phone and told me to sign in and to pick a color. I came in for a gel pedicure and an acrylic gel fill. The girl who did both was very rough, didn't take her time, both my toenails and fingernails are crooked and have gel polish all over my cuticles and she cut my cuticles on my fingernails multiple times. I asked for the classic pedicure which is $25 but they don't tell you that gel is going to be an additional $20 and then told me at checkout that the total was going to be $95!!!! I asked how and she said that I got a pedicure with gel that was $45 and that I asked for a full set with acrylic gel and an ombré (even tho it was just a top glitter coat) and that was $55! I told her that I didn't want a full set, that I only needed a fill. She told me she'd take $5 off and I continued to say that I didn't ask for a full set nor did she give me one and so she took off $10. I will never be back! OH AND I checked my bank account and they charged me $102, $17 extra then what I signed!! I hope this place shuts down. I've been going to someone else for 10 years and have only been charged $35 for an acrylic gel fill and never been charged an absurd amount for a little of glitter read more

I recently moved to Gilbert and went to Palace Nails and Spa on a whim. The place is very open--it's not like other nail & spas with """" lighting and an overwhelming smell of nail polish remover. Very open and chic, lots of natural lighting. I'm not quite positive who did my nails, but they were done very well and lasted for a long time. I would give them a higher rating...however I was charged $60 for simple black acrylics that were short in length. A little pricey and I didn't think it should've been. I went back to schedule my prom nail appointment and I was told that my longer, special shape, gel acrylics were only going to be $37.
