Updated to add in response to the comment from the business owner I went at least 4 times. My tech was Koha. She sits at the last seat in the first row on the right side of the building. I also didn't really like that there was nothing on the TV's besides a few rotating images of nails. The chairs are also a bit uncomfortable because the tables are very flat and your legs are right up flat on the tables rather than there being room to sit comfortably. So disappointed in so many level. I have been coming here for awhile, and normally have Tiffany as my tech but she was fully booked yesterday so I opted to whoever was available (NEVER DO THIS). My daughter just turned 13 and for her first pedicure experience she got Trisha and I got Sophia (Sophie). When things started I felt skeptical, I got the deluxe pedicure and my daughter got classic pedicure. I was looking forward to the callus remover because I have a lot of dead skin. Sophie used something I've never seen and when I mentioned it to her, Trish told her to use another tool. The one she was using wouldn't do anything nor help get rid of dead skin. I got acrylic too, and once I got home I showered to wash off the left over white mask/paste that was left behind my legs. Well, my acrylic toe started coming off! Spent so much on a horrible job, and I normally brush it off and give that person a chance BUT this morning I called to see if they can fix it. Only to be offered the SAME TECH SOPHIE! I asked for a different tech and someone who has more experience but nope. They said Sophie can fix it, I now have to go to another salon and spend more to fix what this place messed up on. I saw Gloss Nails Lounge next door when I was at the gelato place called Tifa. So when I needed a pedi, I remembered Gloss. Then I saw on Yelp the rave reviews from our lovely CM Gretel so I made that ressie! I went on a Monday at 12:30 and it was not busy. Walking in, I liked the white glossy esthetics and chandeliers, the salon is pretty big with pedi areas on both sides and the mani area in the middle. I was greeted right away and offered a drink from their fridge from the girl at the front desk. April my nail tech greeted me, took me to my spa chair, gave me the service menu and asked me which color I'd like from all the nail color samples. I attached pictures of the service prices, seems pretty comparable and affordable to other salon prices. I got the classic spa pedi for $30 and gel polish was an extra $15. Gel usually lasts a month so def worth it! The things I look for in a salon is cleanliness, the nail tech doesn't badger me with upgrades, good polishing/cleaning job and the nail tech doesn't take skin off or hurt me while cleaning my nails. ( I've had this happen. Ouch) April and Gloss nails checked all the boxes. I know the nail techs will usually massage your legs but it was my first time one used hot stones too so that was a nice touch. I was happy with my pedi so I would def come back! I love this Salon. I have been coming here for two years. The last three times I have tried to walk-in they didn't have anything available. The last time I had my toes done there I ended up with an ingrown because she cut my big toe weirdly. I still tried to go back cause I really like the salon and it is so convenient for us. Yes I could certainly make an appointment but sometimes I bring my kid and sometimes I don't and I usually decide the day of if I am going to get her a pedi too. I miss the days when we could walk in. I am okay with a 10-15 minute wait but it's seems lately I am just told I need to make an appointment for later that day or the next day. Today we went somewhere else and walked right in. If you don't take walk-ins please let people know. read more

Located in a small strip mall off Val Vista. Great location that is considered a newer high end nail salon conveniently located in Gilbert, Az. Myself and my daughter came in to treat ourselves, she had been here before and wanted to bring me in for a pedicure since she had really enjoyed her first visit. She had made a prior appointment, so we were able to get in right as we walked through the doors. Staff members were all busy & kept the client's cared for. Each tech on staff were professional, well trained & kept the movement flowing never leaving a customer unattended. My pedicurist spent just as much time on my pedi as the manicurist did on my daughter nails. Both were wonderful experiences. Selection of colours/products was great & I had upgraded my pedi (quite a few options to choose from) and my girl had dip powder technique which is more lightweight than acrylic and allows a better to wear option plus last longer and isn't as harsh to the natural nail. Would recommend this place. When considering the cost it's currently more affordable than some other locations, as it's a new business building up their clientele. First time coming here and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed getting the Jelly Crystal Pedicure with gel polish and manicure with dip powder. I went down the list of nail techs and went with Bee as I thought it was a fun name. And let me tell you, Bee was fantastic. I highly recommend her. She did a great job, so friendly. My search is finally over! One of the hardest things about moving for me is finding a good nail salon. I had a good thing going with my nail tech back home in Atlanta, and have struggled to find the nail salon for me here since moving almost a year ago. I tried so many different salons, only to have a chip or my dip powder come off within a couple of weeks. I discovered Gloss Nails Lounge while driving by, and decided to give them a try. I have been here four times now and my nails have held up each time! I usually get dip powder every four weeks and they have not chipped or broken even when I've been rough with them. I've seen Maya and Kent. Kent has done my last three dip and pedis, and I'm so happy with how they turned out! The salon is bright, beautiful, and very clean. They offer a wide variety of polish options including dip and gel. They also carry many of my favorite OPI colors. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Had a great experience here! You can tell the salon facilities are new. The ambiance was bright, fresh, and modern. It was a bustling Sunday morning but the place was laid out in such a way you didn't feel like you were on top of the next customer. Lina was amazing as a tech. She was kind and patient. I am very pleased with my dip manicure with tips. They had so many colors to choose from and they were neatly organized and sorted to make the selection process a breeze. One of the things I really appreciated was the price transparency. The cost for all services is easy to find our their website, and booking was simple. The salon and workstations were clean. He rushed through, did a poor job on my cuticles and didn't run the file across the top of my nails when he finished. I left pulling the skin on my finger tips away from my nails. The first time I went to Gloss nails was 9 months ago. I had a horrible nail tech however they made it right and I continued to go. I get an acrylic fill and I'm finished, I design my own nails. At first the charge was $20 then they went up to $30. No problem I said! The last two times I went before yesterday it was $35 and I was told it was because she had to repair a nail. Yesterday I went and there was no nail to repair. I asked the manager about why I was charged $35 she said because they had to take off rhinestones and gel polish. They take it off with a drill. I can do that at home but the audacity to make up why they wanted to overcharged me. I pass several nail salons to go to Gloss nails! NEVER AGAIN! read more

I've been dying to get my nails done after doing my own for the past 2 years to save some extra $$. Full sets are NOT cheap these days! My husband told me I deserved to splurge on myself and even had fun picking out his favorite design he wanted me to get on my nails. I've never done anything crazy design wise and have always stuck to solid simple colors. This design my husband chose for me was a beautiful ombré pink/nude nail with a soft glitter finish and a creamy white ring finger with a gorgeous sparkly silver design. I showed the tech Emily the photo about 7+ times throughout my visit and told her that was EXACTLY what I wanted. She said she could do it before we even got seated. We started out with adding the nail tips and while we were sizing and filing those down, they all started to pop off. She applied the acrylic, which literally had bubbles inside of it......... then began filing them down extremely hard. The drill bits she used could be felt cutting into my skin below the nails as it seemed like she was in a rush to get this set done. I got seated and started at 5:30pm while the salon closed at 7:00pm. This should have been enough time for her to compete the set without rushing, and if it wasn't, then they should have asked me to come back so they can achieve my nail desires to perfection the following day. Literally as I'm typing this, my nails are extremely painful to touch and the skin around it BURNS when I wash my hands. I have gotten my nails done many times all over the valley previously and have never had an experience as rough as this one. Once she finished her nail prep, she began to paint a nude base for the ombré nails. This base was filled with small chunks of black plastic that stood out in the polish like a sore thumb. I don't know how Emily didn't bother to notice it during her application. I had to speak up MANY times during the appointment to remove the plastic specks and fix the nails as they are very light and nude and finally asked her to switch to a different base polish as she was not able to provide me a nail base without the plastic pieces being cured into the current polish. I got one stingy base coat of the nude polish before she started the ombré, which is an additional $25 by the way. When I came in for my nails, I was willing to spend any amount I needed to spend to achieve my desired look as this is something I was splurging on for myself. But the ombré application was so bare that you couldn't even tell there was any ombré application done!! I had to ask Emily to go over and darken the ombré an extra 3 times on each nail and you can still BARELY tell the nails have an ombré effect on them! After the ombré was done and cured she grabbed the chunkiest glitter I have ever seen. I will attach the photos to this review so you can see what I requested vs what I got. I kind of just wanted to get out of there at this point and had abandoned all hope of achieving the nail look I walked in wanting so I just let her finish the glitter as is, even during the glitter application she was so stingy that I had to ask her for more just so it wouldn't look like a 3 year old did the glitter on my nails lol. Then once the glitter was done, she hand-painted the silver design on the white ring finger. It was a dull silver polish while the design on the photo I showed her was a cute sparkly silver. We top coated and cured. I went to the counter and paid $80 for the full set. I reluctantly tipped $10 even though I basically had to coach Emily the entire time to pay any attention to detail when it came to my nails. In the end, I walked out with $90 less in my pocket and extremely painful/burning nails. If you reach the end of this review, please save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else for your Pinterest nail designs! Only come here if you want the Temu version of the design you request and extremely painful nails!! read more

My mom and I went in to get our nails done before our trips we had planned. She got a powder dip manicure and I got a gel manicure. I got gel thinking it would last at least two weeks because my trip was a week away. I had to go back in just 5 days later to get my nails completely redone due to them chipping after only 5 days. They were nice enough to fix them for free and I would have left satisfied but they again started to chip after just 3 days after getting them fixed. I spent $50 on the gel manicured and even tipped $10 for the service. I am so disappointed. My mom was happy that her set lasted two weeks but when she went in to get the powder dip removed she found that three of her nails were infected with fungus! She called the salon requesting a refund and all they did was tell her that it's common and did not accommodate a refund. This salon is completely unprofessional and does not treat their clients well when unsatisfied. I will never return and I know my mom won't return as well. A total waste of time and money. read more

While the staff are good you cannot count on Gloss nails to keep appointments. In the past six mths I have had four appointments that I was notified were not going to happen due to tech being on vacation. How in the world is this not caught ahead of time? Unfortunately it's always 30 min to an hour before the appointment and leaves me scrambling. The last two times I have asked the manager to call me back and nothing so now warning anyone reading this that it could happen to you! Don't plan on getting nails done before a big event unless you walk in. Not a good feeling and no accountability from management. read more

Honestly this place has gone down hill and this was by far the most upsetting visit. If you're getting a manicure it should be done at the nail station, NOT the pedicure station. (especially since I was told their fans can't move over there because they need tables.) Because of that, my daughters nail were not able to dry. When you book a pedicure, they'll take care of you, but today for a polish change on my daughter, it was done in under 4 minutes. I was baffled how fast it was. She was done before my tech could even gather my supplies. The lady was rude with my daughter from the beginning like she didn't want to even do the job, and after rushing through her nails in 4 minutes she removed the sponge between her toes instead of letting them sit there to help keep her toes separated to dry. (Mind you she's gotten pedicures there before and when you pay for the full service you're treated better... and they keep the sponge between your toes) *Not even sure why she took them out right away. As far as my nails, the first thing I told the front desk is I like matching colors (for toes and hands) End result they do not match! Nails are cherry red and toes are a dark burgundy red. I had to ask the guy if they are the same, and he said the stickers match therefore they are the same colors when it's obvious they don't. Also, my big toe polish looks wrinkly on one foot. That could be caused from old dry polish. They should be replacing polish that's almost empty, instead of adding acetone to it. Received a fill, and the guy missed the corners of my nails completely on two fingers. As he got up, I thought he was looking for the cuticle oil, but instead started over on another person. Every fill I've gotten they've always added lotion on the hands, and at least cuticle oil. Nope. Didn't even really state he was done. We figured that out ourselves. Unfortunately this use to be our favorite place. We won't be back. read more

I had my wedding nails done here and I LOVED everything about the experience. We made an appointment for my mom, sister, grandpa, aunt and myself and everything went smooth. We all got manis and pedis, all of which were great quality and what we asked for. My nail tech payed special attention to my acrylics and did exactly the color and shape I asked for. In addition, they allowed us to have a special charcuterie board set up to celebrate that was sent by other family members. Everyone was respectful and kind. We decided to try this place based on the reviews. We definitely will not be going back. We did walk in and asked for 2 manicures and 2 pedicures. There were 3 of us. We were assured we could be accompanied and to pick out our color and have a seat. The mani on my daughter took about 15 minutes start to finish. And when it came to getting our pedicures together they set us on completely opposite sides of the rooms. After they knew we asked to be together. The receptionist was awful to just about everyone she talked to on the phone and was more interested in talking to the new receptionist coming in for her shift and what she was doing after she left. The salon wasn't very clean either. I'm not sure how the ratings are so high on this place other than it's fairly new for the area. The salon manager was there but she didn't do anything to help the situation or even seem to care or was just completely oblivious. read more
