I went in with a photo and she tried to"freestyle" at first, and made me laugh telling me that she was" freestyling" but then, I had to ask her to go back to reality and to go back to what I wanted after her freestyle designs phase. Nina is my go to now for special occasions!!! She will make you laugh and she is fast and prompt! Although, the prices are a bit high, it's located in a convenient area right next to Target, Trader Joes and LA fitness. Everyone was very nice and sweet! My pedicure was great, but my nails were another story. The lady who did them was very sweet and kind, I showed her a picture of the design I wanted and asked if she could do it, she said she could, and by the end I realized she could not. Not even remotely close to the request design. Design was ombré with 3D glitter design, and I got some kind of French tip? Super disappointing. But the place was clean and the employees were all kind. I wouldn't come back unless I was doing a nail set with no design and was just a solid color. Today was my first time coming to this nail salon, and I must say that I am thoroughly pleased with my visit. Holly, my nail tech during my visit, made sure that ALL of my needs were met. Went in over a week ago and my fingers are still bleeding , nails breaking and (dip) polish is rubbing off. I've had bad manicures before, but none as painful as this. My daughter and I came in for pedicures and eyebrow waxing. There was a 45 min wait but it was so worth it. We got the "pamper pedicure" and it was an hour long pedicure, I almost fell asleep during the massage portion because it was so long. We didn't feel rushed even though they closed the store for the night during our appt and the staff were very friendly. The first time I went, the tech that did my nails and wax went above and beyond to make me feel accommodated, and comfortable to speak up if I wanted my nails done a certain way, etc. I thought it was nice because I'm a fairly easy customer, im not picky, I just have one ask: my nailbeds are sensitive and thin so please be gentle with the grinder. Either way, my first time was a great experience, and everything I could ask for in nail salons, I wish I got her name. The few times I went after that have not been so great. Despite the many times I have told them "hey just fyi please be easy with the grinder if you can, my nails are sentitive" I am either not listened to, or blatantly disrespected. In fact, one of the techs that did my nails another time could NOT stop telling me how sensitive I was. I am not exaggerating, she must have said this at least 15 or more times. It felt like borderline bullying and harassment. I almost left. This most recent time I went, I picked out a dip color and the dip she selected did not match the color at all. I asked her to bring the samples and she basically threw them down for me to look through with my half done nails instead of trying to help me color match. I asked why the color code didn't match the sample, and she said "I already told you.." when she was in the middle Of working on my nails, she nipped the side of my finger and it hurt horribly. They make you feel guilty for being "sensitive", aggressively move your hands if you're even slightly stiff, or anxious. It's amazing how many times I've been made to feel like "I'm the problem" when they're not only not hearing me, respecting me; but also making terrible mistakes on their end which they take NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR. I haven't received a single apology after that, just told I should get gel next time. Then when I went to go wash my hands she was ranting about me to the owner. I am so fed up with the disrespect, I've spent years getting my nails done there's a reason why I don't get them as frequently as I should these days, because I shouldn't be paying money I earned and work so hard for, to be treated like Scum. The disrespect is unacceptable. And nobody should be expected to also tip after being treated disrespectfully. I walked away with a color I did not want and had zero energy to dispute, regardless having every right to do so. I won't be returning. read more

If you go make an appointment with Kevin. He is great. The other techs are rude and have no skills. Although this is a beautiful salon, I had a terrible experience. I walked in and was greeted by Kevin the manager and his son. They were friendly and assigned techs for my pedicure and dip manicure. When I was looking at color I was greeted by the tech for the pedicure. She rushed me away from the colors and told me I need gel on my toes. I personally do not like gel for my pedicure. I sat in the chair already annoyed. She was rude and spoke to her coworker in Vietnamese the entire pedicure. She told me I didn't want the pedicure I selected and when I became firm and said I would like the "classic" and regular polish she gave a nasty look and attitude. She massaged my right leg for 2 minutes and did not massage my left. She was too busy chatting with the tech behind her to do realize. The entire pedicure was 6-7 minutes in length before I was moved for my manicure. The tech for the manicure was nice but refused to do what I asked. I get dip manicures every 2-3 weeks so I knew what I was talking about. I finally said forget it and went to leave after my previous dip was soaked off. The manager Kevin stopped me and asked kindly if he could fix the experience for me. He was great. If he was who took care of me start to finish I would give this place 5 stars. But every other employee there was rude and more focused on chatting with each other than doing their job. read more

Requested appointments at six different places on yelp Thursday and not one got back to me. Saturday morning I called around and Simplicity said they would accommodate me and my group. The shop is very clean. People were nice. I originally wanted to do French ombré but the guy guy my nails super short so I went with just a color instead. Pedicure was good. Manicure was a little rough and some of my cuticles are still a little sore. Next time I'll ask just to file and shape my nails. Not cut them. read more

I've been here a few times late last year and they didn't have much gel colors to choose from, but because the nail techs are so friendly, I still come because they make your experience worthwhile. They actually engage in conversation with you. I've been to different nail salons where they don't even try to, I guess, build a relationship with the customer and on top of that you have to tip them. This place goes above a beyond. If you aren't happy with how your nail looks, they will fix it just the way you want them to. I went in again today and they had way more gel options. Gel manicure was $28 (not including tip). We got the deluxe pedicure which was $35. It included a standard pedi with a scrub and stone massage. We did not intend to do a manicure but ended up adding it in for $28 with gel (shellac). My daughter went there with a friend and her mom to get their nails done. My daughter got a dip manicure and I couldn't believe when she sent me the photo. She said "mom, it looks so bad". If you zoom in on the picture, you will see there is almost as much polish on the skin as on the nails. How anyone let a customer pay $40 without cleaning that up is beyond me. A 10 year old could have done a better job. My daughter also told me the lady was texting the whole time she was doing her nails, stopping every time she got a text to respond to the person. Clearly not focused at all on the job at hand and the results showed. Thankfully we have a great manicurist, who is a perfectionist, who I had to have correct this horrible job. I went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The woman I spoke to was nice, got me in the same day but I later realized they did accept walk ins. Went in for my appt & picked the color for my gel manicure and a very close color for my pedicure. The lady came up to me & asked if those were the colors I wanted & I said yes. She then asked it I wanted the matching color on my toes & me, thinking she was the professional said yes. I also let her know I wanted a French manicure with the color I picked for my manicure. Another woman started on my pedicure, it was okay at best; nothing special. She painted my toes the "matching color". The same woman started my gel manicure. I reminded her I wanted a French with the color I picked. She looked confused. Apparently the two ladies just don't communicate. We took a couple minutes to figure it out together, I pulled out my phone and showed her some pictures. I'm not too sure what was so confusing about it. She started my manicure and all was ok. During this time they were closing up & cleaning which made me feel pretty rushed since they were mopping around me.There was still two other women there so it's not like I was holding them up. At the end of the manicure I noticed the "matching" colors were a bit off but didn't notice till I got home they were WAY off. I didn't care so much about that. I care more about the fact that not even a week later and my gel manicure is falling apart. I've never had a gel manicure start chipping days later. I'm really not sure what products they're using here but I would NOT recommend this place. I shouldn't be more ashamed of my nails days later after 'getting them done' than not having them done at all, especially after paying $70 bucks. Save your time and money. read more

Jessica was my nail tech and she did an absolutely wonderful job. I have a strong appreciation for nail salons that take their time to do your nails correctly. This is definitely a salon that cares about their work. She made sure every nail was even and shaped well, and for me shape matters so much more than color! There was only a five minute wait and the whole experience took about an hour and a half, but I did have her rip off my old acrylics (which didn't hurt at all,) and only took about 15min.
