Ok so where do i began . I called and made an appointment for 10 i made it there 9:55 . The moment I step foot in there they were all looking at me and started talking amongst herself in a language I don't understand. So normally whenever I don't feel welcome in a place I leave. But I was like I'm just getting a pedicure so I'll just do it. I sat down she asked me which one I want it I told her the regular one because I was in a hurry and I just wanted a pedicure. She asked me if I wanted gel or regular I said regular and then she made a mark . So this is strike two . I Let It Go. And then I thought about it I'm in a hurry so why not get the gel Color that way it will dry quicker so I told her I'll do gel and then she said OK and we left it at that. I asked her to remove the calluses she said the price and I was like OK . then she said I won't do the gel and I was like why not and she said because you don't wanna spend money I said why do you think I don't want to spend money she said because you got regular pedicure and regular polish. I was like in my mind what the fuck. Who said I didn't want to spend money you know what I mean but even though it's not her place to say that I felt so uncomfortable so I stopped what she was doing and I put my shoes on and I told her you made me feel uncomfortable and I tired to leave . They made a big Ole hassle they didn't even apologize for making me feel uncomfortable she still try to charge me for soaking my feet. She threaten to call the police on me because I wasn't gonna pay and I told her call the police but she didn't. Mind you I am a woman of color. The Manager words was this was what you wanted something free. I didn't get anything my feet were soaking that's it all this took place at the beginning of my pedicure after she gave me the menu and asked me what I wantEd . then the manager started telling the customers what happen that I wanted something free and this and that. When all I wanted was a pedicure and she made it more than what it was. But all this because she told me that I don't want to spend any money basically saying that I'm broke because I didn't want to get a higher price pedicure or gel polish . read more

Great for the basics but not much else. Ideal for polish change, but I wouldn't get anything more than than. Very clean, but inexperienced artists that lay on thick layers. I had stopped going around a year ago when my art stylist put on 7 layers (not including base and top coat)and still didn't get the desired level of glitter (as shown on the swatch). read more

I went to Nail simplicity although it isn't near my house at all. My prom is this weekend and I decided to go to them since they did a great job on my homecoming nails. I asked for the exact same thing being "Light silver sparkle that ombres into a heavy sparkle." Instead the guy gave me white with an awful sparkle on top. I'm not sure his name but he was extremely rude throughout doing my nails. I even tried correcting him when he brought out the white polish but he insisted that he was doing what I asked for. Also he got nail polish all over my hands, overall an awful experience. I had to go to a complete different nail salon afterwards to get them to repaint them to my liking. I'm extremely upset and for sure will not be coming back. read more

Come see Angela, she's the best! She is very detailed and always does a wonderful job!

I got a gel manicure and a deluxe pedicure while I was in the area visiting family. Two days later, after I had left to go home to Chicago, the manicure on one of my nails was cleanly lifting away from my actual nail. I called to see if I could get a refund, even just partially (just for my manicure since my pedicure is looking good), and they told me the only thing they could do was fix it. That's obviously not an option for me, since I'm no longer in the area. I'm very disappointed, as I can't go to another salon to have them fix this salon's mistake without having to pay for a full new manicure to have the colors match. read more

I have been wearing acrylic nails for over 30 years so I have experienced alot of things. I have been going to another nail salon for the last several years but the quality of the work was declining so I found Simplicity on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I came in on Sunday with my daughter at 3:00 PM and they said they were booked and asked me if we could come back at 4:15 PM. We agreed and scheduled the appointment. The receptionist called me at 4:00 PM and then asked if we could instead arrive at 4:45 PM which we also agreed. She then calls me again at 4:15 and asks if we can be there by 4:30 so we race over there. We arrive and wait an additional 10-mins. to be seated and then we are seated and someone starts on my daughter hastily while I am seated next to her with no water in my basin for another 10-minutes. Then, They basically tell us we are only able to get the basic/classic pedicure because they are closing soon and it is obvious that the two male pedicure technicians are not happy to provide our pedicures at this time. They were extremely rushed - without the adequate services included in the package, poor quality and the overall customer service made us feel very unwelcomed. I would have preferred she tell me that they were full for the day and I could have made a different day appointment or just went somewhere else. read more

Awful awful experience. I was cut so badly by the tech she had to apply super glue to help slow the bleeding. She had been cutting all of the cuticles deeper and closer than I'm accustomed to so you might even say it was inevitable. Here is the worst part; Not only did she not apologize, she found a way to blame me! Yes she said it was my fault then charged me full price. She insisted I did it to myself but then said it was because I asked her to cut it. Doesnt mean I asked her to cut so close I would bleed! She was the person who rang me up so that was a bit uncomfortable. The "massage" was ridiculous but their was not what would've prompted me to write a poor review. I was there for an extra 30 minutes because of how profusely my thumb was bleeding and of all days, I had to be at an event. It's not the fact that I was cut, things can happen, it's the poor way it was handled. She should've offered a sincere apology and a complimentary service. Ps I tipped her because she rang me up, because again, I was uncomfortable. In hindsigjt I dont know why I gave her anything. I left there very upset and she was aware. read more

The establishment is great and classy look when you walk in. I also loved how they have the footpop ups when they scrub the bottom of your feet. However go to get my pedicure the lady opens the page to the most expensive one making me think that it was my only choice.. she brought up callous remover, I didn't need that, she bought up gel polish didn't want that, just the basic since I go regularly. She then said the color I got was only available in gel as trying to make me think that I would still get gel. Asked her to find another color similar which she did and I was happy with. The nail tech did an amazing job, my nails were basic nothing fancy and the shape was already there so didn't need to do much but the fill. I go to pay and the gentleman says normally it is $40 but today you are $45. I'm like why 45, he's like shape nails? Nails long? No my nails are just average so really what was the extra 5 for? If you didn't have people trying to nickel and dime you I might be back but I won't! And all the staff does is talk in Vietnamese and could care less in you as a client. I'll be back to another one where they only speak English in front of you! read more

Went for a simple dip polish change (take off color, put on new color. No cuticle cut or design) Jessica did a great job but for some reason it was $45? I confirmed that I only did a polish change and the gentleman said it was because of my nail shape. (Coffin) but all she did was file my natural nail. Not sure if this is an additional $10 charge or what but at my normal salon, pink polish, I do the same thing with a pedicure and spend $50. I also noticed there are no prices listed so I think they set prices Case by case which is annoying. Decent salon, obnoxiously over priced. 3 stars are for Jessica. read more

Been going to this salon for a few months now and Angela is the best. She takes her time with her work and is great at what she does.

I stopped in at this business just as they were supposed to be closing. They were so accomodating and just wouldn't hear of me leaving. Two ladies ( Michelle and Holly) worked on my toes and fingernails at the same time and really did a wonderful job when I know they would like to have gone home. This kind of customer service is what makes a successful business. I definitely recommend this local business (right next to Target on Arizona) for your nail and spa needs. read more
