I went in for a pedicure and was shocked at the lack of hygiene in this place. After finishing with another customer, the technician rinsed off the tools she had just used and called me over without properly sanitizing them. Another customer even asked if they were using new tools because she witnessed the same thing. When I questioned the cleanliness of the foot scrub tool, they insisted it was clean, but it clearly was not. To make matters worse, another technician brought out a supposedly "clean" tool, claiming it was hers, but it was visibly dirty as well. At that point, I took my foot out of the water and left. I regret not waiting for my regular salon to open. This place is a serious health concern, and I hope the health board investigates their practices. read more

Kim was so nice! As soon as, I walked in she made me feel comfortable by coming up from the back and welcoming me in. This was my first time here as I'm in the market searching for a new nail shop and a reasonable one at that, without breaking into my retirement account. I got a French powder, (like always )and it made me happy that they could get me in right away when I originally stopped in but due to another appointment elsewhere with a client, I had to return the next day which I'm sure she(the lady at the front) didn't think that I would. Even when I returned a day later the lady at the front remembered my name and she didn't even write it down when I was there a day earlier... I was actually flattered that she remembered me I didn't have to wait long before the guy got to me. *I forget his name* He was nice and gentle with my nails and hands and really put his all into it. The way that he did them, were a different look then what I'm used to, but I like them. I will go again! There's plenty of free parking and the shop is surrounded by restaurants and other establishments. Perfect corner in the strip mall and easy to find. I recommend going here for your nails. Tell them I sent you and please say "hi" to Kim for me read more

When I scheduled an appointment for 3 people for pedis at the same time I thought we would all be getting pedis at the same time.....Well one of our pedis started 30 minutes late. I also requested to have my fill and pedi done at the same time, which they said was fine when I scheduled the appointment. However when I arrived they only had 3 employees and 1 of them was already with another client...The massage chairs barely massaged and the pedi itself was mediocre at best . To top it all off the polish dried streaky. read more

I paid $60 for a full set not even a week ago and it took the lady TWO HOURS to do them. They looked like trash, two of them have popped off and three of them are about to fall off. I don't do anything crazy that they should be just falling off, I work at desk all day. I have NEVER had acrylic nails not last at least two weeks before I get a back fill. The $7 press on nails from Walmart lasted and looked better than these. Air bubbles in the gel polish, nails shaped like bird beak, etc.. I'm embarrassed walking around with these nails. They were just plain black nails, it's not that hard. read more

Highly don't recommend!!! I came here to remove my acrylic nails and get new ones. The place was disgusting and so dirty. None of the tools were cleaned off from the person before me. He literally wiped off the table with his hand real quick to "dust" it and called it good. I didn't have time to make a new appointment somewhere else so I sat. They refused to soak my nails off and used a blank to pry them off. Made 3 of my nails crack to the point of bleeding and ripped one down to the meat. My pointer finger is sooo crooked it's insane and he INSISTED that it would straighten up with shaping. He argued with me about my acrylic color and TOLD me this was the one I was getting. Then my nail tech was going to put my nail design on backwards (not matching on the other hand) and continued to argue with me about how I wanted my design and how I was wrong and mocked me when he finally did it the way I wanted. He talked the whole time, filed the one side of my finger down to raw because he wasn't paying attention. He put two different size nails on my thumbs so one is long and skinny and the other short and fat. I've had my nails 8 days now and all my stones have fallen off and my nails look like absolute garbage around the bottom to where I had to take my own dog dermel to clean them up because they were so bad. Then they charged me $45 to do my 5 year old boys feet. No nail cutting, no painting, No massage, nothing. Literally let his feet soak for 5 minutes and scrub them a little and called it good. Less than 10 minutes. And they had the audacity to say that I was a difficult and got mad that I didn't leave a tip. read more

This place rushed my massage , barely used the hot rocks. Told me my nails were dry the second i got to the car my big toe was message up before i left the parking lot. Had excess polish everywhere and not very friendly . On top of them charging me $45 for a terrible pedicure .. i had to tell him to finish filing my toes nails and to remove the dirt under my nails before he threw the polish on ! I called and asked if they could give me a dip manicure and the lady on the phone said yes. While my technician was nice and the place was cute, I noticed she missed a few steps that I am used to when I go to get dip anywhere else but I was still hoping for the best. They looked pretty bad and they weren't drying which is weird for dip. At the end she put a gel coat on to save it. They look alright but by day 3 they began to flake off without even doing much. I'm sad because I paid so much and I get dip because I like my nails to stay on! I just wish she wouldn't have told me to come in if they didn't have someone who knew how to do it. read more

To follow up, the man who did my "manicure" came up to my car window and demanded I take this review down and wanted to give my money back. As horrible as the job was I wasn't wanting a refund I came into this place knowing I was spending money. At this point it's the principle, after he shoved the money into my hand another woman came out and tried to apologize on his behalf. Stating he was upset because the other employees in the shop yelled at him and he was mad. I tried to give the money back but she insisted I keep it. Let me start off with saying I had a REALLLY BAD experience with "Michelle" She serviced me with a pedicure and it was completely sloppy, there was patches of color missing on the nail. I have been going here on and off for many years. I typically get a pedi but here and there I will get a mani. I have to say the quality of the service has declined..The last few times getting either I was not satisfied, especially yesterday 05/30 I went in for a mani -pedi and it was busy (understood as it is day before holiday). The issue though was my $30 pedi was VERY rushed. Then when I got the mani, I was told my nails were shaped weird and that why she could not get them square when really she just is not skilled in shaping..On top of that the gel was poorly done(bumpy) and what was supposed to be flowers on the nails ended up being faint white lines. It was also VERY rushed. If I'm a paying tipping customer, there should be no rushed service, should not matter how busy it is. That will be my last time going.. let me not get started on the inconsistency in my eyebrows being done. Let's just say I now go to European Wax. read more

BEWARE OF THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS FOR $35 I had a painful experience and not because I was allergic. It was my first time getting two week lashes and I thought the price was good so why not give it a try. -Lashes are to be put ON TOP of your own lashes and NOT BELOW. -Mirage salon Manager put my lashes on below my natural lashes against the water line. -I told her it felt uncomfortable and that I could feel the lashes in my eyes. She told me the lashes were just "stiff" and would relax in a few days. -I was in pain for a couple of days even though I used a hot wash cloth to soak them multiple times. -Some of them started to fall out after a week or so and my natural lashes came out with them. -I was left with thinner damaged lashes. After complaining to the salon manager I decided to talk to the owner. The salon manager (young female with long hair) said "I told you that you might have a reaction" and completely dismissed the fact that she put them on wrong. She did offer to refund my money but that didn't make me happy. The owner called me and was pleasant and offered to take them off and give me a refund. I went in for a refund and removal. The solution they used took them off and I was treated by a woman named something like "Van" she was very nice. I wouldn't recommend this salon until they replace the salon manager with someone who knows what he/she is doing and knows how to treat customers. PS. They have a sketchy hand written sign at the front saying they don't take debit/credit but they do in fact take them. Who knows what kind of carnival they're running? read more

This review is long overdue. I started going to Mirage at the recommendation of a friend, specifically to GINA. Always getting Gel manicures and pedicures, her work is fantastic. She's a loyal football enthusiast and one of the most cheerful people I've met. She recognizes every face and remembers every name. It's impressive. I recently moved to Illinois and just returned to AZ for three days and making an appointment with her was priority. She does such a wonderful job on both manicures and pedicures and can do some great designs, you just have to ask. You can bring pictures from Pinterest and she will do her best to give you the same. I'm not that adventurous but I do like a French, sometimes glittery sometimes not and saved a few pics over the last 6 months to share here. My gel manicures always last 3-5 weeks, depending on he hell I put them through. Even while I was packing boxes for weeks my nails held up. The French hides growth better when they last that long and you can buff the line with a block and they look amazing. A few times my mother would tag along and always sat with HEIDI, who I must say is very good as well. Her nails always looked amazing and she takes her time to perfect. She can also recreate almost anything you find on the web. I've gone to about five places over the last few years always searching for somewhere to return to. I finally find it and had to move out of state. Nobody Yelps here. Admittedly I've been lazy about it as well which is why I am leaving this review now. Mirage is a place you'll return to again and again. read more

Went to this nail salon for the first time and got a full set (acrylic powder set) and this nail snapped right after 3 days and all I did was scratch my hair. I called them at 10:41am to come get my mail fixed and asked them if I could come at 5pm to get it fixed. They told me yes as they were too busy to do it at the time I called. Came in at 5 and I still had to wait 30 minutes and I finally just left. I would not recommend this nail salon at all. Not only are they unprofessional, obviously the quality of their nails are weak. There's no reason why my mail should've snapped off this easily after 3 days. read more

I would give no stars but since I'm unable to it gets one. I went to do my nails with my daughter and sister. The lady did my gel manicure and finished within 20 min. The next day they started bubbling up and by the 3rd day it started peeling off. My under aged daughter did acrylics and the guy kept pushing her to do a design or diamonds even though she said no more then once. my sister was a cussed of having gel on her toes (which she never gets gel). they defiantly over charged me. It was the worst experience I have ever had doing nails. i usually don't like to leave bad reviews but I had to for this service. I will never return to this place. I have never in my life had any kind of foot infection or any issues with my nails. I got a pedicure here and a month after I noticed I could not feel the tip of both of my big toes. I didn't think much of it until I took my nail polish off and found that I had fungi. Both my my big toes are infected and my nails are coming off. I am very upset. Needless to say that every time I have went, someone comes in with a complaint and they spend more time answering the phone and talking to each other. If anyone knows how to grow your nail back fast, please let me know. I also called the salon and told them what happened and they got very defensive and said well what do you want me to do about it. Well everybody there was nice enough. The nail tech that did my nails hardly spoke to me. In fact she was on a phone calls the entire time. She asked me if I wanted my nails shortened I said yes apparently she didn't hear me. I would have repeated myself if she would've gotten off the phone. I showed her a picture of what I wanted I will attach below and I will also attach a picture of what I received. If she couldn't do what I was asking she should have said I can't do it and I would've looked for something different. That's not even the worst part. This was my second time going to Mirage nails for an acrylic full set. The first time, I was very satisfied with the acrylic, coffin nail with a design, full set I received from one of the nail techs(sorry, I'm unable to remember his name). The second time I went in I got a gel, acrylic full-set as well as a gel classic pedicure. The nail tech who took care of my manicure was very patient while my indecisive butt tried to pick a color. When shaping my nails, she didn't rush and made the acrylic look natural and narrow (bc I hate when it looks fat and fake). The nail tech who took care of my pedicure was very gentle with my feet. She saw that I had bruises on my toes (that's what I get for standing front row of a mosh pit) and still managed to make my feet pretty. My second trip came out to $76. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because I literally sat in awkward silence. I usually like to talk story with my nail techs. I also find it rude when they speak in a different language to each other rather than having a friendly conversation with their customer. read more

My sister-in-law brought me here for a spa pedi while we were vacationing with them in AZ. From the moment I walked in I knew I would have a good experience. The place is absolutely beautiful. I was almost overwhelmed because the massage chairs are super high tech and I have never used a super state of the art massage chair. My sis-in-law has been going here for years and has a good relationship with the owner Mimi. We had to wait about 20-30 mins to be seated which didn't bother me since we didn't have an appt and there were three of us. Yen did my toes, Heidi did my Niece's toes and Mimi did my sis-in-law's. At first I thought Heidi was rude but then I quickly figured out she has a dry/sarcastic sense of humor and soon we were all laughing together and enjoying ourselves.
