I bring pictures of designs or colors I want to try and her end product is better than my idea . I've been going to LUX NAILS since having moved to Arizona a few months ago. Their staff is nice, they do a great job no matter what you're getting done and they have two of the cutest little salon mascots -- adorable little fluff ball Pomeranians. I mean, talk about a combination of animal and beauty therapy. The salon is spacious, comfortable and they play some of the best music. That said, there is one disappointment here and for me, it's hard to say if this is a normal thing being that I'm new to Arizona and still adjusting or if it's something that only this salon does. The issue is this: when you get a pedicure you're presented with different spa treatments to choose from. The prices listed on these treatments breakdown what is included, or what is supposed to be included in the price. However, when you go to pay for services, the prices increases and you are told that the extra charge is because one opted for gel polish over standard. It's happened twice to me and it doesn't make sense at all. If the spa treatment you choose automatically states that one gets gel polish, scrub, massage, and a paraffin wax dip for $55 as an example, it should be $55 in cost before any tip is added. However, at the counter the price increases, which is closer to $100. This is frustrating because what you see if not necessarily what you get per se, so you have to really pay attention to the spa treatment options and make sure you ask about any extra charges post service. read more

Savana was very sweet. The owner is very attentive and went around to check how the service was. She then checked my nails and went out of her way to fix them. She was really nice and said it's best to do manicures in the seated table because of the better lighting to see the nails. Note to self don't do manicures in the pedicure chairs. read more

I have been to this nail salon many times. And this last time. I knew they closed at 7pm. So I decided to call at 5:40pm to make sure they would be able to do my nails and to make sure I'm being respectful. I had Justin this young guy tech. Who was ok at the beginning of our conversation. But proceeded to complain about every little thing during the time of my appointment. I just came to understand I was charged so much for some very ugly nails. It was an expectation vs reality. Unfortunately I won't be coming in anymore. Justin just put a very bad taste in my mouth with the entitlement and rudeness. Also he will up charge you and not know how to do the nails. This is what my nails look like after 2 days and they are peeling. And proceed to say if they start to peel he will not fix them. Worst pedicure of my life. First he burnt my pinky toe with his little drill thing. Then for whatever reason he had steam going the whole time which burnt me multiple times. I kept moving it and he would move it back. Then he burnt the top of my foot with a hot rock. And what made me finally say ok I'm done with this, when he was massaging my leg he reached into the bowl and grabbed the faucet that was spraying scalding hot water and hit my calf with it. He also cut my nails extremely short, to the point that they hurt. I have had hundreds of pedicures in my life, never one this awful and I've NEVER refused to pay for the service. This was the first time I visited this salon and will be the last. Between a pissed off nail technician that serviced my friend and the owner, no need to go back. The nail technician that was doing my friend's manicure was not happy from the beginning and did such a shoddy job, that she asked her stop and take them off. Her name was Lily( not sure that is actually her name as she wouldn't give it to me and then the owner grudgingly said a name). My pedicure was fine but that's all I can say about it. Having to deal with a rude nail technician, language barrier and the owner, does not make for a pleasant experience. We were first time customers and did not get the 20% discount as advertised, but that might be because we didn't mention nor asked for it. Just wanted to leave. However being such a loyal customer spending anywhere from 250-300$ a visit I can't help but share the horrible experience I recently had. I am a nurse my schedule Is extremely tight so when I have a moment to get pampered I go all out, I had one day Off between the holiday and new years and still won't have another day off until 1/7 I went to get my nails done on the day after Christmas I get the Tap (hard gel) on my nails and I got a basic pedicure with gel polish pretty Simple , my typical ail tech was not in that day I usually Go to Trish ( she is absolutely amazing) however being I only had one day to get my pedi in and I was there I agreed to be seen by Ashley another tech I left initially satisfied only to realize in a matter of hours my toes were not Completely cured, nor were my nails they are already chipping that day I spent 260$ just on me and my daughter and husband I am so disappointed with the level of Service I received and unfortunately do not have the availability to go back so I have been walking around with my nails And toes Looking like this !!! So I didn't actually get a full service, but... Mt friend scheduled us for pedicures at Lux nails but we got our signals crossed. I went to this one and she showed up at the other one. The receptionist welcomed me in and put me in a chair with the bubbly water. It's a beautiful, clean shop with very nice and up-to-date pedicure chairs. I chose my pedicure and waited on my friend. A lady started on my feet but I asked her to wait for my friend to get there. I tried to call her, but the signal kept dropping between our phones. Finally, I found she was at the other shop. I talked to receptionist and one of the gentleman doing nails and they were so kind and forgiving. They said I didn't need to pay them but I felt so terrible. I left but pedicurist a tip. I gave the salon 2 attempts. The first attempt was January 2024 I was a walk-in that made an appointment for later in the afternoon on a Sunday came back from my appointment and waited 45 minutes to be seen. I had requested the hybrid gel. She used hard gel and charged me for hybrid. I asked her why she's not using the hybrid like I requested she stated that the hard gel does not lift as easily. She was a pleasant stylist. She took her time she was detailed, so I let it go paid the bill. Decided to go back as a walk-in again on a Friday afternoon four weeks later February 2024. I was seen immediately told them I wanted a hard gel fill. I did this because I didn't want to be charged for a hybrid and the hard gel was fine. They sat me down using a dirty towel with previous clippings and shavings already on it. None of their tools came out of an unopened wrap. They came out of their toolbox, and we're already used. One lady started the process and switched out with another lady who continued to slap my hand for the way my hand was resting. This resulted in two cuts to my fingers. I was not given a price or a total until check out and it came on the screen. Due to the lack of cleanliness, the poor service, rude manners, and inconsistent pricing, I will not be returning. Personally, I will not be returning to this salon. They prioritize fast service over quality service. Both times I made an appointment with Tim and neither time did I get him. So do not bother making an appointment they just put you with whoever is open when you get there. I have paid $60 for a gel manicure both times and I have not been satisfied with the service either time and I had different ladies each occasion. The first time I went, the lady nicked my finger when cutting my cuticles and made them bleed. She didn't paint the nail polish all the way back on my fingers as shown in the images so they grew out within only a week of having them. This second time I went in, a different lady shaped my nails at different lengths and some had sharp edges. She also painted them horribly. She didn't paint all the way along the sides and one finger it is very noticeable. My niece could honestly paint them better than this place has. Overall, I was unimpressed with the service both times. I would rather pay more and spend longer in a salon that cares about the results as opposed to getting you in and out within 30 minutes and doing the job half way. read more

I saw Tina and tony as a walk in for my pedicure and manicure. I asked for French tip dip nails and a gel color change pedicure. I was asked so many times to get a full service pedicure, I did not want this as I just wanted a color change. The lady doing my manicure got upset when I wanted them shorter. The guy doing my toes got mad that I accidentally hit my other toe and got the gel on it, he said "AGAIN?!". They kept talking and laughing whenever I would speak to them.
