I want to first and foremost say I did call the salon numerous times trying to get in touch with Michelle, and also messaged them on Instagram as they actively post on their regularly but have gotten nothing in return. I also want to start this post by prefacing that I have been a long Brazilian wax girly. Years. I've been loyal to EWC for years as I loved my waxer but hated their "wax pass" speech every time I walked past the place. I just moved to the area and GWB was recommended to me. #1: They use soft wax for Brazilians. Absolutely not. Anyone in industry knows that hard wax is much better for Brazilians. Again, I have been having this service done since I was maybe 21 years old, I am now 32, I wanted to come off the table to slap her it hurt so badly. #2: If youre planning on relaxing at all during your service, rest assured, you won't. You have to help the waxer with your own service to pull your skin taut leaving your hands covered in wax.. or maybe you'll get lucky like me and your waxer will cover your finger in wax. #3: She broke so much of my hair, missed multiple spots, including my butthole, and burned me. I left the appointment slightly sore, which is very normal. It wasn't until later that night when I showered I realized I was swollen. I had strips on my vagina that were red, raised, blistered and swollen. I used some calming cream I've used for years thinking I'll go away in the morning and it didn't. I went on my trip with hair (which then caused me to shave over the wax job.. so you can guess how bad my ingrowns were) I'm not sure if this is how they're trained, what they're being taught.. I'm not sure but I won't be back, unfortunately. I'd much rather give my money to a small local business rather than a huge corp like EWC but I guess I'll continue to search.

After a quick Yelp search, I found Rehana Beauty Bar and realized it was in the San Tan Village mall. I love visiting the mall but wasn't sure exactly where it was. Of course my GPS just dropped me off in the middle of the mall, so you want to look for the Honeybee Boba tea place and it's right next to Fast Fix Jewelry. Luckily, Rehana herself picks up the phone and she directed me on where exactly to go. Parking is readily available at the mall. It's $18 only to get your eyebrows threaded and I was in and out with no appointment in less than 10 minutes. It's quick, easy, she listened to what I wanted and did it in a heartbeat. She has another location in Mesa and she's opening a new one in Queen Creek. This location has been around for four years. She also sells jewelry and clothes. You get a punchcard that you can use towards the discounted service. She is super sweet and was so nice to my kids who joined me for the occasion! I would definitely come back here and she comes highly recommended!

They listen when I ask not to take too much off my brows and I've left satisfied 9 times out of 10. The salon is clean and welcoming. The new space is much bigger than their last and has more chairs. Their prices have gone up, which I understand. I used to pay $13 for eyebrow threading and recently paid $15. They're a great, convenient option since they don't typically require an appointment.

I thought it was heaven but O M G SanTan Nails & Spa blew that out of the water!! I scheduled my appointment for 3:30 pm on a Saturday. When I walked in, I had to fill out a waiver by scanning a QR code and within a minute or two, I was all set. Kali came to get me and brought me to the bed I would be laying on for the duration of my appointment. The nail salon is separated from the room with the massage beds. Each bed is separated with a curtain to provide you with privacy as you change into a wrap. I would highly suggest wearing clothing that's easy to remove so you can get settled in faster. I wore a short dress so changing took me no time at all. Kali went straight to work by putting plastic bags over my feet, then wrapping my legs in the inflatable leg massagers. The pressure would build up then release for a relaxing massage on my lower limbs. She then started with my facial and eventually on my hair. I don't know what she was using, but the tools she used on my face felt AMAZING!!! She also put on this eye mask thingy that felt so cool and calming. I was in lalaland!! I took a nice long nap as she massaged my face, scalp, arms, hands and décolletté. When I tell you I was on Cloud 9, please believe me!!! The Deluxe Head Spa is worth its weight in gold. Luckily for me, I got it at a great price, too. Thanks to their Instagram post, they are currently offering 20% off their regular prices so I paid $116 instead of the regular $145. What a steal!! After my service, I was offered water, soda, or lemonade. I chose lemonade but unfortunately, they ran out so I just had some cold water. Kali asked if I wanted her to blow dry my hair, but I opted not to since I was going home right after I was done. Besides, my hair is NOT the business if it isn't straightened or curled after drying! Trust me!! Lol I was totally impressed and felt like a new woman when I walked out. Other than the fact that they ran out of lemonade and that my hair was damp when I left, I'm still giving this place 5 stars because it was such a relaxing experience! Felt like my skin was breathing especially after the brutal summer heat. The second facial she allowed for my 16 year old daughter to use. She has some acne issues on the lower part of face and under chin. It was my daughter's very first facial and WOW!!! She was glowing and the tiny areas of acne were almost nonexistent. This is not an exaggeration, her skin looked clean, clearer and vibrant! She educated my daughter on proper skincare (since you know kids don't think their parents know what they are talking about ). I will be going back for dermaplaning and my daughter is excited for her next appointment as well. Chaundra pampers you and definitely doesn't shame you like other estheticians have in the past due to me using the wrong product or not following a super strict regimen. (Saturday) The girl I spoke to, confirmed makeup for two for that Saturday at 12:50. She even told us to arrive 15 mins early... Come Friday evening I get a call from another employee saying that she's calling to confirm my two eyebrow wax appointments. Eyebrow wax? I never wanted that. She said we weren't even in their "books" and that we had no appointment for that Saturday for makeup... Okay so we hang up and about an hour or so later another employee ( a much friendlier one) calls me and says he can get one of us in at Benefit and the other one at Lancôme at another time... at this point I say no thank you and I took my business somewhere else.. this place is a hott mess.

I walked into another location where they were training a new technician whose books were closed until the following week. They proceeded to call around until they were able to secure me an appointment at Ulta. This is where I met Porsche who made me feel comfortable, listened to what i wanted and didn't rush the appointment. I love the results
