I hate to give this place anything but a 5 star because I have been going here for years for waxing…read morebut I have to warn others to think twice before using their lamination services. I gave it a try knowing I took a chance as this is a new service they provided and it is very close to my house. I never expected to be missing part of my eyebrow as a result that is now not growing back and I have to consider alternatives like microblading so I can fill in the missing hair. Apparently, all of them were newly trained but clearly not well enough. They follow an instruction sheet as they are doing it. As someone who has done lamination many times, the girl who did my lamination said some questionable things during the process. For example, a vital part of lamination is the after care which I received zero information on. I would have been okay with that had my eyebrows been fine. Instead they have thinned out completely and my left is missing a part of the eyebrown that I now have to pencil in every day. It is very clear that they are doing this without solid training in the hopes that it turns out okay. Even when I went back to show them, the second girl had to follow the instruction sheet to see what might have gone wrong and seemed unsure of herself. Super disappointed that I have to now deal with the aftermath of how to get my eyebrows looking back to how they were before.

They have a system that works and it takes less than a half hour. In the past I paid at least double what this place costs. I am able to pay in advance for 10 and get 2 free. They run a lot of specials so you always save money. I have used Desiree since I started 1 1/2 years ago. I think she's extremely meticulous and fast. I wanted to get rid of those little fine hairs that are mostly visible in the sunlight and the more stubborn ones that I am constantly plucking from my chin. She waxed my chin and neck then threaded the rest including my eyebrows. She was quick and gentle. It took maybe 15 mins. I was very happy with the results. My skin is super soft and bump free. This review is long overdue!…read more I want to start with Cathy. To my knowledge, she is one of the managers, and I can honestly say she is one of the most professional, hardworking, and hospitable owners I have ever encountered in any industry. I've seen the salon become incredibly busy, and instead of simply managing from the sidelines, Cathy rolls up her sleeves and immediately starts helping with clients to support her team. I've watched her go out of her way to ensure every guest feels welcomed and taken care of, and I've even personally seen her stay after hours cleaning the entire salon herself. That level of leadership, dedication, and pride in her business is rare and deserves recognition. She has also built an amazing team. I actually live much closer to another nail salon, but I made the switch because I found this salon to be far more hygienic, professional, and welcoming. It was one of the best decisions I've made. Two of my favorite nail technicians are Tracey and Richard, who always take great care of me. Richard is incredibly talented and detail-oriented. I appreciate that he takes the time to make sure every detail is perfect, and he's always willing to bring my sometimes silly nail design ideas to life. His patience, creativity, and skill never disappoint. (See the photos of my epic World Cup nails!!!) The designs always turn out better than I imagined, and they're so impressive that even my husband gets excited to see what new design I'll be getting next. Thank you, Richard. I originally found this salon on Yelp right before my wedding, and from the moment I walked through the door, I knew I had found something special. Since then, this has become my go-to salon, and I have never been disappointed. Every visit has been a wonderful experience. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and cares about their clients. I've always been treated exceptionally well here, and I truly look forward to every appointment. If I could give this salon more than 5 stars, I would. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for outstanding service, talented technicians, a clean environment, and an overall exceptional experience. Thank you to Cathy & her team.

However, the receptionist came across as closed off and unwilling to check whether anyone could accommodate me or offer another option. After making that drive, I was disappointed by the lack of warmth and effort to help. A more welcoming approach and a clearer explanation would have made a difference.

I'll admit I was surprised when the aesthetician requested I flip over on my belly and hold a…read morecheek, but she asked it so nicely and matter of fact-ly, that I felt no need to argue. I was nervous about my first Brazilian but after going to Glow, not only do I know that I will keep getting them, I know I will only be going to Glow for this service. Unfortunately, I can't remember the aesthetician's name now (it was several weeks ago that I went, and I'm due back shortly) but her manner and kindness put me at ease about the whole waxing process. There's something to be said for a woman who can put another at ease about putting hot wax on her bits and then ripping the hair off using said hot wax - but this woman was not only able to calm my fears but also kept me chatting in a way that helped distract me enough to look forward to the end result without stressing too much over the process. I ended up getting a "modified" Brazilian and was charged accordingly - not full price since I didn't get a full Brazilian. I appreciated that despite the fact that she put in so much work and time (30 minutes!! - I'm used to going in, getting the skin, hair, and wax ripped off and being off the waxing table in under 20!), she only charged me for a partial Brazilian. Many salons wouldn't modify the price according to the customer's needs, only their own. Waxing is very Machiavellian - the end has to justify the means because otherwise it can make for walking funny, in grown hairs, and embarrassment, not to mention pain. The Nufree wax is gentle enough, although I had a surprising reaction to it, I think that was more me than the product (since I've had it used on me before with no problems). The aesthetician also provided me with a small sample of lotion to help with in-grown hairs and any irritation that would arise. I was incredibly impressed with her thoroughness as well as her kindness. I'm looking forward to going back to Glow, despite the masochism of getting waxed!
