Staying in the area house sitting and needed a quick mani pedi for an event tonight and was able to get an appointment at 12:15 (on a Saturday!--I thought there wouldn't be availability). Only had to wait a few minutes after picking polish to be taken back. Yuen did manicure first and she did a great job getting all the cuticles and dry skin around the nails, and she was memeticulous with the paint job (even with me doing just a plain mani (no gel or powder)). Then we moved on to the pedicure and I practically fell asleep it was so relaxing. The massage felt awesome on my tired dancer feet, and again she was meticulous with the cuticle trimming and the ppolish. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and the place is spacious and clean (great ventilation doesn't smell like a nail salon), and I love that they use sterilizing pouches for the nail tools! Disappointed in my service here. Although Kelly was extremely friendly, my experience was not good. There was way too much glue in the gel-x application (which can cause allergy), improper curing, and spilling of top coat around my cuticles. Each nail was cured separately under the light so my hands were under the light for basically the entire hour I was there. She stepped away every 5-10 minutes during my appointment to check out costumers, repeatedly touching cash and coming back to do my nails with ZERO hand washing and no gloves. Also using previously used files. To top it off, she and a customer besides me spent several minutes discussing their support of Trump and that they don't read "bigot news." Very uncomfortable experience. I hate to leave these types of reviews, but please do better with your sanitary standards. I wish I could give 10 stars for the service I received here! First off, this is the most fancy/clean/kind nail salon I think..ever?! I'll start by saying we went in with some very poorly done nails from a previous salon so I was skeptical at first. Bad experiences will do that I suppose. My mom and I both went together to get our bad nails fixed. Let me start by saying right off the bat, Kelly's Nails immediately saw the concern in why we wanted better nails- but kept it so professional and promised to fix them for us and they did. If you're looking for a sterile, sanitary salon this is your place. They have hundreds of color choices, great music, a coffee/tea nook, and prices are very clearly stated on their service menu. There's about 25 pedicure chairs, same with manicure stations, and plenty of seats in the waiting area. But crammed like sardines here! Everything is so beautifully decorated and furnished, wiped down often and all around an enjoyable experience. The $40 pedicure is their second up from their basic and it put me to sleep with the 10 minute massage. Their technique is great, very detailed work!! I will be returning monthly for my nail needs. read more

I absolutely love Kelly's. I came here a few times in college and it was always an amazing experience. After moving to Phoenix, I had hoped to find a salon I loved in my new area. But after MANY underwhelming experiences at different salons around me, I've finally returned to Kelly's and I'm so glad I did. The staff are so unbelievably friendly. I arrived about 30 minutes early due to a short work day and because I made my appointment for a Friday, I was expecting to wait at least some time to get in the chair but they took me back almost immediately. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted in terms of design so I chose two colors and told Henry I was going to Hawaii on a trip. He basically free-styled and the final product did not disappoint! I am so impressed with the design and his attention to detail. After having many experiences at salons around the valley where I felt I was significantly overcharged for a set that I didn't even love, this was such a breath of fresh air. UPDATE - they contacted me to make it right and Tom redid my nails. He was meticulous and took his time which resulted in the perfect shape and natural looking dip nails that aren't too thick. This was my second time at Kelly's nails and I had much higher expectations considering I had a good experience the first time. I made an appointment to see Kevin again and he did a terrible job. From the time he started soaking off the dip to finishing was 45 minutes... this was also including me picking 3 different colors from their color station since he couldn't find my first 3 choices. He was rushing the whole time and didn't cover my entire nail, there are spots missing on the edges. He also skipped steps in the process. After using the activator he did a light buff and that's it. My nails are not smooth at all. I'm pissed I even paid for this. I will not be returning nor recommending this place to anyone. read more

I got one of the sloppiest manicure ever today. She brought over blistering hot water to soak in, but hardly let me soak before she proceeded to cut up my fingers. I was bleeding in two places from her cuticle trim. She then shaped my nail, without asking my desired shape, and didn't even clean off them off before painting. My nails are bumpy, rough, and there is a lot of paint still on my skin. I also asked for a nail art and she slapped it on my nail without any regard. I am so embarrassed by my nails and so mad I paid so much for this. My pedicure wasn't much better, but at least the technician was nice. I ended up paying $95 not including tip and after discussing with the client that recommended this place, I was told I had been overcharged. I took this up with their Instagram DMs with proof from their website of pricing. They told me it was pre-Covid and pre-inflation and it had not been updated. I come in to get my nail fixed free of charge and inquire about an itemized receipt. The lady goes over pricing with me and claims I was given a discount. She could not show me any updated service menus and I was never given an official receipt showing me the services I was charged for, only a word of mouth exchange. Unfortunately after going here for 3 years and having different people do my nails. Last weekend was the final straw. I had been seeing Henry for the last yr. Although he is great at designs he has never been on time for my appts. I have continuously made a 10am appt and he always has to be called to find out where he is. Strolling in whenever he wants 10:30am if I'm lucky. I've asked the owner Kelly multiple times why make an appt at 10 if he never shows up on time. I was even told by another woman oh come a little later since Henry doesn't come in at 10. Excuse me if you open at 10 and I am making an appt for 10 why should I have to wait? Most of the times, Kelly would either have me sit and wait, sometimes filing the color off, or 1 time I did my pedicure first because he still wasn't there. Today, at 10:20 he wasn't there, they called him and he was close by. I ended up leaving and then someone tried to come get me from my car. I'm sorry, I gave you multiple chances to make this right. Give me a new person, make your employee show up on time. When is enough enough? It's unfortunate because I liked going there. But I shouldn't have to wait 20-30 minutes everytime because my tech can't show up on time. Lost me as a customer of 3 yrs. read more
