Updated review: Would give 0 stars if I could sadly. This place has changed management and I no longer go here, even the staff has changed. I went in after the management changed to give this place a shot and got overcharged as well as didn't get what I asked for. For my pedicure, I picked one of their "packages" and the tech didn't know how to use it and sent me home with the kit and the instructions to do it myself (weird to pay for something I am being told to do myself at home). Also during the pedicure, I was getting gel polish and the lamp my tech was using he told someone to put away before curing my nails, then when I mentioned to him that he needed to keep the lamp at his station as my nails needed to be cured - I realized he didn't even understand more than basic English and I am not trying to be rude here I promise, I just genuinely had to go back and forth with him multiple times explaining things in a different way as he did not understand what I was saying to him. He was very confused at what the word Lamp/Light and Cure meant and I was having a hard time trying to explain those terms in other ways and eventually had to settle for pointing at the lamp and pointing at my toes and saying "not done" "gel polish". I would think knowing these words, or knowing the process for gel polish in general would be vital if he is actively doing nails at this salon, at this point I'm just hoping he was filling in to help make up for time and is not actually a nail tech (even though that is bad too). It's super dangerous to have uncured gel and I was so worried it had been done wrong (because it wasn't cured in layers how it normally is) I had to go to another salon to have them take it off for me. For my acrylic full set nails that I also got there that same day, I had been told a price as well as how much designs were per nail and then when I got to checkout my nails came out to be (in total with the pedicure included) over $200 before the tip. When I inquired on the pricing and mentioned the board that said the acrylic full set price (as well as the $5 per nail per design pricing) then added it up along with my pedicure package pricing (it was on special so it wasn't as expensive as it normally is) and asked the cashier why my total did not match theirs they were flustered and walked away quickly and then the owner came up and gave me a million excuses as to why my nails were as much as they were. To be honest, I think they just made up the price on the fly because I got intricate nails and they wanted to see what they could get out of me. Which fine if you want to charge more for more intricate nails, but the quality of the nails were not worth what they were charging me and don't quote one price at the beginning when I first ask, and then jack it up at the end when the service has been completed because you got me to sit down and do them. I always check beforehand with the staff to know what I am getting myself into, and make sure to show pictures and go over exactly what I'm looking for in detail and I can confirm I was definitely overcharged for no reason for these nails. I paid them just so I could leave in peace and still tipped well in cash even after being scammed. As you can tell by my previous review, I had no problem with the prior nail salon, or its staff, or the owner and even paid high dollar for the nails I got. The difference now is the fact that this salon is not clear with their customers and seems to be cutting cost and up charging. Also, they are definitely not maintaining qualified staff to provide the services. Look elsewhere, I heard the old owner of this place moved right up the street a ways but can't remember where as of now. I now go to a licensed tech with a private salon which I recommend everyone look into! Instagram is a great way to find a licensed nail tech in your area just double triple check who you are letting put chemicals onto your nails! Previous review of prior management/staff: This nail place is my Go-to!! These people are great at what they do and they don't overcharge you for it either!! They have put up with my crazy nail request and they nail it every single time!! Kenny is amazing and I love to go to him but if he's not available the other people there do great jobs too! Seriously can't sing more praises about this place. My nails STAY ON I haven't had a nail break in the longest time and with how long they are these people are the best. Plus they offer to fix your nails if they break within a certain amount of time and I don't ever see any other nail place do this! I would avoid busy times like prom/homecoming/holidays and BOOK EARLY for those days because this place is THE SPOT and they will get busy but if you care schedule around it they are a popular salon and they have very good reason to be. One of the best in chandler/Gilbert area.

So glad I decided to give this place a try! I was on my way to errands at the nearby Frys and decided to make the time for a manicure as mine needed a new color, dip gel asap. I went in, didn't have to wait long and had great service. The place was clean, they were all very nice and welcoming which lately I find hard to find in nail spas I have been to, this one was great. I was undecided about my color, I wanted something brown but not too dark and they were helpful with that as well. My nails look so lovely and they also asked me if I was going for a more natural look, or thicker, asked about my shape preference, etc. I was really impressed by that too. Most importantly, they also ask customers to wash hands before they start the manicure. Believe it or not, but two other places I have been to do not ask for that which is not very hygienic. I like that they also take that step. Details are important and so are basic safety precautions. Left with pretty nails and feeling like I had a good experience.

I am extremely disappointed for spending $100 and asked for one thing and got this. Their pedicure is good but if you really want a good acrylic nails that stays for more than a week and also good design this is not the place. I regret doing this right before my vacation.

I haven't been to this mail salon in a few years. It didn't impress me in the past. I came back in today, because it's convenient to my home, and the grocery store I shop at, and I didn't feel like going out of my way for my mani/pedi today. I'm so glad I did! Vivian JUST purchased the nail salon last week and she's off to a great start. They're very personable, professional and I love the way my nails look. The pedicure was so relaxing! I'll definitely be back and I hope Vivian's new business prospers!

Hands down the worst gel manicure and pedicure I have ever had and I paid $155 for it. I wish I could get my money back. my polish is super clumpy (and it's gel how do you even do that?!), my nails are super uneven and not smooth, they didn't even paint part of my nails and they left nail polish all over my skin! I absolutely love this establishment. I have seen Tammy for over 10 years. She always does an amazing job with my Disney nails. Her attention to detail is amazing. I have brought her pictures and she is able to replicate. She also does a fantastic job waxing. I have brought my daughter here as well (since she was 4) and all of the people--mostly the sweet owners--have been kind and have engaged her if she was not getting her nails painted. We drive 22 minutes just to have services done here but it is definitely worth it. I must add--I have switched from gel to dip. AMAZING! Over 500 dip colors here! Whoot! Whoot! read more

Came as a walk in. The place was busy, so I inquired about the wait. Was told by the young lady at the desk, that I had to check in first and then someone would tell me how long. 45 minutes later, after other walk ins were seated, I just left. I would have come back, if they had just given me a time frame. Waste of time! Poor customer service at best. Won't be returning! read more

Under new ownership and quality has declined. I don't feel the staff is as experienced or thorough as the previous regime. My pedicures continue to be sub par, they leave the cuticle and a sloppy paint job. I'm bummed because I had been a customer for 5 years, have to find something new now. Update: after paying full price plus tip for gel, then four days later half price plus tip to have them redone, now, three days later my nails are cracking. I really wanted to like this salon, but after three times, I won't be going back. All three times I have been here for a regular gel manicure, it is peeling off within days, resulting in multiple visits to fix each nail. This has never happened anywhere else. My daughter bought us manicures for my birthday, and we had to ask for hers to be immediately re-done because they were full of bubbles. So the man (with headphones in 100% of the time) was clearly angry at having to redo them and cut two of her cuticles to bleeding, while buffing off the old polish. Last week I had my last gel manicure there and went back four days later with 7 of my nails peeling. A very nice lady redid them, and as I was leaving I was told I had to pay, with a 50% discount. Four days later. Waste of money. read more

Disappointing.... Got there @ 9:40am on the Saturday before Mother's Day. There were hardly any customers and they said they could get me in right away for a pedicure. Less than 5 minutes they sat me down and soaking my feet but it took them over 35 minutes to finally get to me. Then the callus remover hardly removed the dead skin and had to skip the hot-stone and lotion because it was already over my time on it but yet they still charge me full price. read more

Tim was amazing! He took his time with my nails and asked me when and what exactly I wanted to make use I had the best experience. However my two companions had a horrible experience with Tracee. She would stop go do something and come back later and they kept getting traded off with someone else who didn't seem to know what he was doing. My nails came out amazing but my sisters you could see through the paint and they where longer than she wanted. We waited over an hour to get our nails done. They where packed. So I hope they are not trading quality for quantity. read more

I went to this nail salon for 5 years until they sold it. My husband and I went there after it changed owners and he asked for Tina to do his nails. The owner said she is busy, my husband said I'll wait. Ok. We sat down and here comes another girl. My husband said again where is Tina. We told you no Tina here. This girl can help you. No my husband said I want Tina and if Tina is not here I'm leaving. One by one the old staff was gone, customer service is crap and prices went up, we now go somewhere else. read more

I needed a pedicure and wanted to try a new place. When I called the guy told me it was $20 for a basic one. I came in the next day, no appointment needed. I just called ahead to see how long the wait was. My nail tech wasn't very sociable, so I didn't talk to her the whole time. The basic pedi ended up being $25. It was an ok experience. read more

Went for a manicure. I did not see much cleaning between customers. I had to tell my nail tech to get a new towel after the customer before me and he flipped it over instead. The dip manicure was very uncomfortable. I will not be back, the sanitation was not up to par. read more

Was looking to get my nails done and thought this place might be good but so not worth it. They could not do the picture that I asked for, which was a flower, and then they told me they could a fade and they couldn't do it properly. Just moved from the Bay Area and was looking for place to get nails done that is not too far from where I live. Found this place while was driving to grocery store. I would say they have a Very poor customer service here. It's more like when you walked in they would ask what you want to get done, pick the color, you can sit on that chair. They do their job and no personal conversation or interactions. I tried to talk to the girl who did my nails just to make both of us feel comfortable but it seemed bother her when I talked to her. The job she did was ok. I pick the Deluxe but it was more like basic compared to the other one that I got my padi done. I pick basic padi but she took her time doing everything plus the brief hot stone massage. So I keep going back to her instead. And the job she has done was amazing and yes they charged the same price. BTW I give the girl 20% tips anyways. read more

This place is great! I got a gel manicure and pedicure. My nails look amazing. I was attended to immediately and my hands and feet were both worked on simultaneously. They were fast, efficient, and high-quality. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and nice. It was a little pricey though! My gel manicure was $25 and my pedicure was $25. I think it's worth it though. Also, you can only tip with cash! I didn't know that and had to leave and come back. Other than that, solid job. I will be coming back. read more

Went in to have dip removed and get a basic mani. Didn't make an appt. Just walked in and was helped by a tech to soak my dip off. I soaked for 20 min or so then she said I was good to get my mani. Went to the other tech to get my mani for him to tell me my dip wasn't soaked off enough. Had to soak again for a while then proceeded with getting the mani. This tech was not wearing a mask and was definitely sick. He got up multiple times to cough in the back. While the mani dried with the fans the tech had me in front of, another tech walked by to check my nails dryness level so I could leave. She touched the paint and messed up my mani. She was annoyed and fixed it and back I went to wait to dry. She told me I was done but the paint wasn't dry.. so when I went to my purse to pay it smudged all over. I had to sit down again with ANOTHER tech to get my nails fixed. She made it seems like it was my fault for not getting dip or gel that dries faster. She had to go into my purse to get my money out which made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. She had a cough which made me worried. Left with nails that were lumpy, had bubbles, and holes in them. I wish I asked for them to discount me. Terrible experience for a super basic manicure. Was there for 1.5 hrs. read more

I have used Tammy at this location for many years. She was great. They told me that she wasn't working due to an injury and her doctor said she couldn't work for a while. I tried a different tech for a simple pedicure. It's a mess. Worst pedicure I've ever received. Nails are cut crooked, rough, not filed properly, bumps of skin left around the nail and sloppy polish. It looks like a child did my pedicure. Totally unprofessional. And I found out that Tammy is working at another salon. Won't be going back here again. read more

Kenny is the bomb.com, the OG, I have gone to him for two years now & honestly have no idea why I ever went anywhere else. Not only has Kenny maintained perfection, but palace just gained new ownership & it's even better than before. They have a loyalty program to keep you coming back. Warranty guaranteed for their work. Come back and they will fix you right up! I love this place, and I always get in on time with an appointment & if I come without one I've never waited longer than 5 mins from door to chair. I came in a few weeks ago for a gel manicure and it was the worst gel manicure and service I've ever had! The guy who took care of me was also handling the front desk. Between all the calls and scheduling he did while also doing my nails, I was in there for almost an hour and a half... the quality was terrible there were air bubbles in a few of the nails and they lasted maybe 8-10 days before I couldn't handle it anymore and went somewhere else to get them removed. I will not come back here unfortunately. read more

Just got a pedicure for myself and my 10yr old daughter. It came out very good. Staff was friendly. It just felt a little rushed and they first said $20 for a kids pedicure and when we went to pay they said $23. Didnt like that but whatever Update- went and got a manicure and from start to end they were done in 15 minutes.... and again tried to change the prices from what is listed! read more

Love this place, but be warned - make an appointment - it's not that hard - pick up the phone and call. That's the only drawback here - it gets quite busy and the wait can be long if you haven't called ahead. Very pleased every time I have been here, but they do one thing that I have found to be the norm here in salons - you ask for a basic pedicure then every service that usually goes along with one is extra money (i.e., callous removal $5.00 extra). I went one day for a $20 pedicure and somehow my total came to $25 since the gal didn't understand when I said "No" to the hot stone massage. So be very careful to state what you do and don't want. I can't give them any more stars because I haven't used all their services, but have been pleased with what I have experienced. read more

While I was getting my pedicure everything seemed fine until I got home and realized the back of my big toe was blistered. I believe the tech may have exfoliated too harshly. I'm lucky it didn't get infected, although I do not know for sure. It's been a week since I got the pedicure and I was hoping it would look better by now but it does not. I would share a picture if it didn't look so disgusting. For this reason, I will not be back and I can't in good conscience recommend this shop.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked what I needed. I was sat right away and the removal took about 10-15 minutes. They drilled off the old gel polish, gave the toes a quick scrub, rinsed, cleaned the nails, sprayed, dried and I was out. I work with horses, so things happen, and they've never made that feel like an inconvenience. The owners are incredibly kind, the technicians consistently do excellent work, everything is always clean, and the overall environment is calm and welcoming. The moment I walked in I was greeted by the owner. He showed me the nail colors and told me he would start by prepping me for my pedicure til Kenny, my nail tech, could come over. From the moment I walked in til the moment I left I had a wonderful experience. I told Kenny I had troubled nails and he explained why and told me what to do. It was such a relief to know from beginning to end I had the same nail tech. I wasn't bounced around like some other places I have been to. I have been coming to Palace Nails for years. Everyone is nice but I always call ahead to get an appointment for my gel mani with Kenny. He really gets to know your nails and makes them look great. His manicures last a long time without chipping or pealing. You can usually get in with him same day but walk ins are quick and easy too. His singing isn't too bad either but his nail skills are better. The pedicures are quick and good. I like JC (orig Tami). She does a nice job making your toes soft and smooth. read more

My mom took me here when I visited her in Gilbert during my school break. The place is clean and well aerated. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The pedicure is fine. I really enjoyed the massage of my legs that was done by the technician. She didn't seem to rush, and that always means a lot to me. It's a $30 service; a ten minutes massage and callus removal seem fair to me. They also allowed my mom to sit in the chair next to me, although she was not receiving a pedicure, it was a nice gesture. read more

I had a full set of acrylic nails from another salon go horribly awry. I came in asking for help to either fix or remove them and start another set. The managers were great and didn't make me feel like I was asking for too much or taking too much time. They all asked to see the picture of what I wanted several times to ensure I got the look I desired. Kenny is an amazing nail technician, he made quick work of the design. I am the type of person that makes last min appointments because well life is just crazy! Palace Nails always gets me in the same day. I usually see Chris, who has great customer service and always makes my nails look exactly as I request. Last appointment Chris was out and I saw Paula. I got my first manicure at Palace Nails from Kenny. I had no idea what to expect or what to ask for and was a little nervous. Kenny was awesome. He made me feel at ease and my nails looked amazing. I have been going there consistently for over a year now and have never been disappointed. When my little granddaughter is in town she insists on going with me so Kenny can do her nails too.
