Have enjoyed consistent quality manicures and pedicures for the years I have been visiting. Staff is kind and environment is welcoming.

I've come here every time I visit fam from out state. I'm not sure why so many negative reviews but this place does decent pedicures. I can't speak for other services, but whenever I've come, I get seated right away and the staff is friendly and nice. They do a hot stone massage that comes standard with the pedicure and the fellow helping me today (assuming the owner) did a nice long massage with strong hands. The place is very clean and they have a good variety of polishes to pick from. Prices are the typical $30 for a pedicure (I've never gotten the upgrades). Updated review: Would give 0 stars if I could sadly. This place has changed management and I no longer go here, even the staff has changed. I went in after the management changed to give this place a shot and got overcharged as well as didn't get what I asked for. For my pedicure, I picked one of their "packages" and the tech didn't know how to use it and sent me home with the kit and the instructions to do it myself (weird to pay for something I am being told to do myself at home). Also during the pedicure, I was getting gel polish and the lamp my tech was using he told someone to put away before curing my nails, then when I mentioned to him that he needed to keep the lamp at his station as my nails needed to be cured - I realized he didn't even understand more than basic English and I am not trying to be rude here I promise, I just genuinely had to go back and forth with him multiple times explaining things in a different way as he did not understand what I was saying to him. He was very confused at what the word Lamp/Light and Cure meant and I was having a hard time trying to explain those terms in other ways and eventually had to settle for pointing at the lamp and pointing at my toes and saying "not done" "gel polish". I would think knowing these words, or knowing the process for gel polish in general would be vital if he is actively doing nails at this salon, at this point I'm just hoping he was filling in to help make up for time and is not actually a nail tech (even though that is bad too). It's super dangerous to have uncured gel and I was so worried it had been done wrong (because it wasn't cured in layers how it normally is) I had to go to another salon to have them take it off for me. For my acrylic full set nails that I also got there that same day, I had been told a price as well as how much designs were per nail and then when I got to checkout my nails came out to be (in total with the pedicure included) over $200 before the tip. When I inquired on the pricing and mentioned the board that said the acrylic full set price (as well as the $5 per nail per design pricing) then added it up along with my pedicure package pricing (it was on special so it wasn't as expensive as it normally is) and asked the cashier why my total did not match theirs they were flustered and walked away quickly and then the owner came up and gave me a million excuses as to why my nails were as much as they were. To be honest, I think they just made up the price on the fly because I got intricate nails and they wanted to see what they could get out of me. Which fine if you want to charge more for more intricate nails, but the quality of the nails were not worth what they were charging me and don't quote one price at the beginning when I first ask, and then jack it up at the end when the service has been completed because you got me to sit down and do them. I always check beforehand with the staff to know what I am getting myself into, and make sure to show pictures and go over exactly what I'm looking for in detail and I can confirm I was definitely overcharged for no reason for these nails. I paid them just so I could leave in peace and still tipped well in cash even after being scammed. As you can tell by my previous review, I had no problem with the prior nail salon, or its staff, or the owner and even paid high dollar for the nails I got. The difference now is the fact that this salon is not clear with their customers and seems to be cutting cost and up charging. Also, they are definitely not maintaining qualified staff to provide the services. Look elsewhere, I heard the old owner of this place moved right up the street a ways but can't remember where as of now. I now go to a licensed tech with a private salon which I recommend everyone look into! Instagram is a great way to find a licensed nail tech in your area just double triple check who you are letting put chemicals onto your nails! Previous review of prior management/staff: This nail place is my Go-to!! These people are great at what they do and they don't overcharge you for it either!! They have put up with my crazy nail request and they nail it every single time!! Kenny is amazing and I love to go to him but if he's not available the other people there do great jobs too! Seriously can't sing more praises about this place. My nails STAY ON I haven't had a nail break in the longest time and with how long they are these people are the best. Plus they offer to fix your nails if they break within a certain amount of time and I don't ever see any other nail place do this! I would avoid busy times like prom/homecoming/holidays and BOOK EARLY for those days because this place is THE SPOT and they will get busy but if you care schedule around it they are a popular salon and they have very good reason to be. Got a basic pedicure and it was VERY half a$$. $33 plus a tip: there was really no filing or shaping, NOT gentle when cutting cuticles, got home and noticed nail polish was still even on my skin on some of my toes and had very obvious dead skin that could have easily been removed. Would probably have gotten the same result if I just paid for a polish change? I don't think I will return unless necessary for convenience. 3 stars because: no wait, good color selection, clean. I've been going to this location for several years and it's great. They introduced me to dipping powder instead of acrylics or gel, and my color lasts longer. I've never had any issues at all with any of the manicures or pedicures I've gotten and the staff are so friendly. read more

So glad I decided to give this place a try! I was on my way to errands at the nearby Frys and decided to make the time for a manicure as mine needed a new color, dip gel asap. I went in, didn't have to wait long and had great service. The place was clean, they were all very nice and welcoming which lately I find hard to find in nail spas I have been to, this one was great. I was undecided about my color, I wanted something brown but not too dark and they were helpful with that as well. My nails look so lovely and they also asked me if I was going for a more natural look, or thicker, asked about my shape preference, etc. I was really impressed by that too. Most importantly, they also ask customers to wash hands before they start the manicure. Believe it or not, but two other places I have been to do not ask for that which is not very hygienic. It was... okay. I was a walk in and got in right away, which was nice! The staff were all very friendly and the chairs for the pedicures are really nice. My reasoning for three stars is my toes were left smudged and not tidy, there was polish all around my nail. My fingers were slightly better - I got gel and they turned out okay. This is The Palace Nails (not The Palace Nails Louge) which is located on East Chandler High and Higley. Ladies, it's not fair for them to get such a low rate reviews for what they have not done! I have come to the place for a long time and I know the staffs very well. They are never rude to customers really. Pls make sure you check back twice for the right location before giving out the reviews because they definitely will affect the business. I have coming to this area for a long long time. They always put their heart to the job and caring for every customer. This is the only location that ever have the ombre color chart for Dipping powder which I love to get for my nails. I will tell you about my experience going to Palace Nails & Spa. And I will try to be very reasonable with the actions not letting my emotions play a roll on my narrative. Well, after months of not going out to get nail services due to covid, I finally decided I could use some pampering and care. I made an appointment and arrived ready to have a good experience despite of being the first time visiting this place. I first got a pedicure which it was a very pleasant experience and the lady was really nice. Then I moved on to manicure with a high expectation based on my pedicure care. Sometimes language can be a barrier trying to describe personal taste for nails jobs. I am Mexican (born and raised) and I know English sometimes can be quite difficult for some people. So I came prepared with visuals (pictures) of colors and shapes to describe my personal taste on hand nails. I showed the lady and it seemed to be clear to her what I was looking for. I know the end results won't be exactly as the pictures often seen on websites, but very close. I let her do her job while I concentrated on the nice show they had playing on TV. I soon noticed that my nails started to look like a plane taking off the runway (I am not sure if you know what I mean, something like this .) they were looking upwards like if my nail was injured and was almost ready to fall off my finger. I didn't even know that was a possible outcome when working on nails. I would like to mention that my natural nail growth is not even close to do that lifting. They never grow upwards! I asked the lady kindly to fix that as that was a look I never asked for. She said she would fix that with further filing. I believed her and let her continue, I am not a nail tech so I figured she had a certain technique for that. She filed all my nails and I noticed that a couple of them were still looking like a plane ready to take off, plus the shape on them was not consistent. I went ahead and addressed my concerns, and ask if there was a way she could do the same shape as the picture I showed her to begin with. She immediately got upset and started to speak her native lenguaje (which that didn't bother me) ... but what did bother me is how she was holding my fingers after. There was a level of anger and my fingers were touched harsher. I do not ask for people to not get upset, but to lose the sense of treating someone nice it changes things. She ended up removing product from my nails and cutting my nails followed by the phrase "He will finish taking care of you in a few minutes" looking a the nail tech sitting next chair. I don't want to get into the emotions that I went thru. But I would like to mention that I showed there to pay for a service, I was at ALL times talking nicely and asking for things politely and calm. My very first experience at Palace Nails & Spa was very sad. I left the place with short sore nails, and a node on my throat. I thank the personnel, paid and left no looking back. I thank the male tech asking me to go back, but it is difficult to go back to a place where you had such sad/bad experience. I was offering the lady to pay extra as long as she would fix my nails as I aspired to have them. And I just got rudeness in return. I strongly believe there are good people working there, and plenty of customers with better outcome than me. Cheers for them!!! In the meanwhile I will need to find a place where my feedback is important and I don't get the feel of being a b:+(# for perusing my personal taste on something I am about to pay for. I gave my mom a gift card I got a few months ago the lady that owns this place was so CONDESCENDING and rude telling my mom why she hadn't used the card that it was an old card that they didn't want to accept till she finally did. After just moving to AZ, tried this shop. First 2 times were pretty good. Then 3d time the charm, Feb 5th. I was paired with a middle aged woman who just wouldn't listen to me. I explained multiple times my nails were lifting, I could see air pockets. I am hard on my hands as I type all day. She continued to file and refile, and file some more. She then proceeded to shorten, fill, buff & paint. Never fixing the problem. I even brought it to the attention of a man up front but he was more concerned over my payment & tip. I've been coming to palace for a while for pedicures and I know it's gone under different ownership multiple times. My last visit was in April to get a gel pedicure, which i typically get. I recall the nail tech trimming the length of my big toe nails a bit more than usual near the skin of my toe, no burning or bleeding happened so I thought nothing of it. I was going to go in today to get a pedicure because it had been a while. I didn't make it in but I did take the last bit of gel off at home uncovering FUNGUS that had grown with the polish. I know I got the fungus from the last visit as fungus is caused by moisture under the nail or tools that aren't properly disinfected, as well as the fact that the fungus had grown with the polish, not my new nail. I'm pissed i spent $75 to get toe fungus. I will not be returning, please make sure all of your techs are well educated in their practice. read more

I called to schedule an appointment for them to fix their work only to be told they would still charge me for another full set. The owner was very set on me being in the wrong saying he had no way of knowing it was actually their fault and would take zero responsibility after agreeing that a full set should last for months! I'm not a real nail person so when I look at what comes with the special, I really don't understand any of it, not was it explained. Had such a bad experience. I don't mind wasting $50 dollars on a cute pair of nails. But I do mind when the quality is so bad. I got them done on Thursday and by Monday one broke. They feel cheap and bubbly. The shape was supposed to be coffin. They are all misshaped and uneven. Was not happy at all.
