Amazing with chili oil and soy sauce

Beautiful decor. Luscious wonton dumplings. Tender dough, not too thick. Flavorful pork filling. The dumplings are the way to go! Loved my order!

4.4/5 This place is a great representation of authentic asian cuisine. The beef noodle soup contained hand-made noodles and well-seasoned broth. I felt satisfied and warm, accompanied with my Chinese parents who seemed happy enough! This place STANDS OUT compared to the asian restaurants in the surrounding area. It tastes like a home cooked meal, like it was made to nourish you after a long day. I will say, the beef isn't incredibly tender but is fall-apart. The dumplings are juicy and tasty, though I encourage you order more than just one plate per person. Overall, you will leave this place happy especially if you are a resident of the area. PLEASE COME HERE!

Got the pork and spur cabbage dumplings- to die for! Definitely the best dumplings I've ever had the pleasure to eat. The sauces they come with are ridiculously delicious - especially the orange yellowy one. The bill came to 13 and change after a 3.99% charge for using a card (I'll bring cash next time). I called my order in and it was ready when I arrived. They are on point here! Quick tip - if you order online the prices are a dollar or 2 more. Don't be lazy and just call! Why only 4 stars you ask? Well I got my food and drove to a park to eat. I got all settled and realized they did not give me a fork. So back to work I went to eat at my desk. A little frustrating, but not a deal breaker.

Same owner as the Palace Dumplings in Wappingers Falls, this place has the same menu and quality. I love the sauce choices they have available on each table. I came here by myself after shopping. The dumplings are delicious and come out fast. My waiter was very polite and quick, it was a great experience. Just a side note, for sanitation, they now have chopstick extensions for single use. You may notice the plastic chopsticks are shorter than usual, that's because they are missing the tips. Don't use the plastic chopsticks as they are, you will find a pair of short wooden sticks in the paper wrapper, these are for the ends of the chopsticks. Just push them into the end of the chopsticks and you'll have yourself a full length clean chopsticks!

I've been going to the Palace Dumplings in Wappingers for years now because they are simply the best. But there is now a Palace Dumplings across from Marist!!! I always get pork with pickled veg dumplings but today ordered Beef Noodle Soup, and it was amazing! Fresh noodles with their chewy texture are so delicious. If you like authentic northern Chinese food, do not delay!!!

First time and it's Monday night. The ambiance is not fancy but clean. Our server was great and very helpful with all the different styles of dumplings. The dumplings were delicious and nice and hot (temperature). The dumpling dough is nice and thin; not doughy like other places. I didn't think they were much different than other places but still yummy. We were not overly impressed with the fried rice with vegetables. We were expecting more vegetables than peas and carrots. But It was still good as long as you put lots of the hot oil on it. I think it was good for a quick meal out but I was expecting it to blow my mind from the recommendations lol

Fried chicken ramen. Broth not very hot. Underdeveloped broth flavor. Ramen was good consistency. Very light on the greens and other additions to the ramen. Fried chicken cutlets star of the show. Very light, hot and crispy. Pork ramen. Same as above. Pork was fair at best. Very fatty but tender. And what's with the corn in the ramen. That's for a cup of noodle. Which actually has a better taste profile than this ramen broth. Service was good. Waiter was very sweet and welcoming. Prices overboard for the quality they are serving. Will not return.

I was so happy to see Dimsum on the menu until I saw the prices! Way more expensive than what you get in the city! So I opted for the seafood ramen lunch special for $17 which came with a choice of 2 sides. Service was quick. The place was clean with a lot of tables. I read some of the reviews before coming here and they were right, the broth was not hot enough and was a little bland. So I was very disappointed. I decided to try their sesame balls despite the price - $8.49 for 2 pieces since I was already here hoping that would make it better. Unfortunately it also missed the mark. I saw other people order noodle dish and fried rice and left with clean plates - maybe those taste better. I really hoped this place would be good.

I got the soup dumplings which had a lack of depth. The broth had very little pork flavor and the fried shrimp dumplings were mostly filled with cabbage. To be honest I would've rather had frozen dumplings..There was nothing very authentic about these dumplings which I was disappointed by. I had to use a lot of soy sauce and chili oil because they were bland. The desserts are relatively small but my yuzu cheesecake had a WONDERFUL flavor. Very full of yuzu flavor. It seemed to contain actual zest and wasn't too sweet! The mochi was very very hard and wasn't chewy...don't get it. It was not good. The crepe cake looked and tasted homemade but had pretty thick crepe layers which gave it an off texture. My friend still enjoyed it for the balanced flavor.

I particularly enjoyed the Vassar noodle bowl, which featured chewy noodles in a coconut milk curry sauce (allegedly Malaysian, more Malaysian "inspired") with BBQ pulled pork on top!! I would never have thought to combine these two ingredients, but they work beautifully together. It's a very warm and comforting dish, and the mint, cilantro, and radish garnish helps provide a bit of contrast. I liked the sour cream drizzle on top, too. I feel like this dish could really be fantastic if they adjusted the thickness and amount of curry sauce (the noodles are swimming in it like a soup) and provided more herbs and radishes on top. It could also benefit from a crispy topping to provide textural contrast. I've had other things from here that I've liked, but that weren't anything special. Like the Malaysian curry, their chicken tikka masala sauce also has a very runny texture, instead of the thicker richer sauces I've had elsewhere. And their bao buns are honestly not worth buying, since they have no hoisin sauce or creamy aioli/slaw element that binds together the rather dry meat, pickle slices, and scallions in each bun. They seem to exclusively be a grab and go kind of place, which makes sense to me as it's in a college town. Inside it's small and rather bleak, without any kind of decoration and not much seating. They take a pretty long time to prepare orders too, so plan ahead in case you're in a hurry.

The interior is especially impressive--stylish, modern, and warmly lit with dim lighting that creates a relaxed, upscale dining atmosphere that's perfect for a date night or quiet dinner. That said, a couple small things knocked it just shy of five stars. The parking lot is a bit awkwardly shaped and not the easiest to navigate, and on a colder day the dining area felt a little drafty, which took away slightly from the otherwise cozy vibe. Overall, the food and ambiance absolutely make Tamarind worth visiting, and with just a few comfort tweaks, this would easily be a 5-star spot. Would definitely return.

I arrived early....just before 5pm on a weekday and had the place to myself for a little while. It's super clean with wonderful service, and there's k-pop playing on a big screen TV. What else could you want? How about absolutely outstanding food? Yes! I was hangry so I ordered a kimchi pancake and an order of bibimbap (no meat) with extra hot sauce. Before all that arrived, I was surprised and delighted by a perfect salad with amazing dressing that I'd like to bathe in and small cup of friggin' delicious pumpkin soup. My kimchi pancake was the spicy, carb-laden appetizer that I needed with a plentiful side of chili sauce. Then, my sizzling bibimbap arrived and I was thrilled to find purple rice under the fresh, assorted vegetables and fried egg. A side of kimchi and fish cakes accompanied my bibimbap. My iced ginger tea was sweet and a perfect complement to the rest of the meal. I almost polished off everything....loved that purple rice that got nice and crispy in that hot pot. Gochunjang tasted homemade...thick, spicy, savory and slightly sweet. The menu isn't extensive or overwhelming....it's just right. There's a nice selection of Makgeolli, so I got a bottle to take home with me for the weekend. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the neighborhood.
