Came here for the Thanksgiving buffet after reading how this place was voted the best buffet on the coast. I arrived around 12:30 pm and immediately noticed there was a very long line of what seemed like several hundred people waiting to get into the restaurant. The line seemed to be moving along so I stuck it out. Just over two hours later, and having met some new friends while waiting in line, I was ready to be seated. I will say that the staff here are so incredibly pleasant, kind, and VERY HARD WORKING. Everyone from the servers, the bussers, the cooks, and the hosts. This place clearly has a system in place to keep guests leaving satisfied and ready to rinse and repeat. Well worth the long wait. It was a feast to be remembered. I remember leaving and thinking that I wouldn't eat again for several days. I made sure to feast on as much as possible and all of it was really good. I would definitely recommend this place. If they can serve perhaps as many as a few thousand people on a holiday and do it successfully and for a reasonable price, they deserve all the accolades. read more

Ok I have been hearing claim, it's the best on the coast, it's the best in the state of Mississippi (really)? I refuse to believe this for I have had some great food in the south. Especially having been born and raised in New Orleans and getting to know some great places to eat in Louisiana. Mississippi, Alabama. Georgia and Florida. Living in San Francisco, so ending time in Chicago and the East coast. This cannot be the best. Nooooooooo. It's good but not to go two times. Food had its array of the same old dishes many kinds of these places have. Food was ok as to taste. I wouldn't call it 4 stars. The people working there were not what I would call happy or cheerful. I should've checked the reviews here before going. I did a quick google search and ended up at this buffet. My fault. For $28+ tax, you get a good variety of food. However, I wouldn't say it's the best. Not sure if quality has just fallen that far since Covid or all the google reviewers just don't have good taste. If you're from the South, do not hold any expectations for the comfort food offerings. I need someone's grandmother to come do the "Comfort" food here because what they offered was nowhere near close. Collard greens, Lima beans, chicken & dumplings and fried chicken livers were . Lima beans and collard greens were unseasoned. Chicken and dumplings was simply chicken noodle soup with dumpling-thick noodles. The fried soft shell crab was passable but the fried oysters were terrible. Fried oysters were stiff, dry and bland. The crawfish was actually pretty good, not the previously frozen ones I'm used to getting at restaurants. I didn't know they served them by the bucket until it was time for dessert. I did enjoy the diavolo seafood dish I "created." The sauce was tasty. Would've been amazing with a hearty slice of garlic bread. The horseradish provided for the prime rib was super strong. Proceed with caution. The ribeye was actually pretty good - nice and tender. The desserts were typical buffet dessert. Not the best casino buffet but not the worst. The Palace Casino breakfast buffet is out of this world good. I mean, it only runs $12 for those staying here, and I think I ate that much in bacon alone ! The assortment of food is mind-boggling, especially the local favorites, such as prime rib hash. And glory be, the coffee is excellent, as well. Nobody in our party of 11 ever ran out of coffee or juice, thanks to the excellent servers. Only the food was self-serve, all drinks came via servers, which I found odd. I had the pleasure of dining at the Palace Casino in Biloxi, MS, for lunch on October 24, 2024. The food was good; it was not "exceptional". The fried chicken was, well, fried. Nothing special. The chicken livers were excellent; not overcooked or over-seasoned; I enjoyed them most of all. The boiled shrimp was mushy and looked like it had been soaking for days; the fried shrimp were tiny and uneventful. The cheddar-bacon soup was mostly cheese---and it was not only too thick, it had little to no flavor. The gumbo, on the other hand, was very well prepared and 5-stars all the way. The fried catfish was good and tasty; the baked tilapia was overcooked and was not tasty; it was more like shoe leather...and it had some very tiny bones that were unexpected. The fried-green tomatoes were okay as were the other selection of vegetables. The baked sweet potatoes were also well prepared. The ribs were dry and tough; the Parmesan chicken was good--but a little over-powering with the seasoning. The baked beans pulled pork was very good---but got cold very quickly and, as a result, lost its appeal just as quickly. I did not try the salad bar but it looked well supplied. The dessert bar was exceptional; a very good variety of pies; the soft ice cream machine had 3 flavors but there were no labels so you didn't know what would come out until you lifted the dispenser. However, on that note, the lemon pie was frozen and did not have a creamy texture as it should have. The chocolate pie was out of this world! The server was very good and visited our table frequently asking if we needed drink refills or other help. Additional staff were prompt in removing used plates and bowls. As for the 3-star review; I feel that I could have gotten the same menu items for approximately the same price at Golden Corral or comparable restaurants. I've eaten at other casinos in Biloxi and their menus, selection, and food were truly 5-star... so I was slightly disappointed to visit the Palace Casino Buffet when it was listed as the best casino buffet on the coast---or maybe I missed something in that advertisement. If you want a regular buffet, this is okay; if you want something a little more outstanding, you'll have to go somewhere else--because I didn't find it here. read more

My Hubby and I eat at Palace Buffet all the time as many locals do!! The servers there are like family and we love talking with them! I have never been disappointed there. Fried green tomatoes are the best!! If you get 20 points in play on Monday thru Thursday, you get the buffet for $14. Lots of local seafood!! My wife and I come to the Palace Hotel 6 times a year in our trips to visit the Grandchildren in Dallas. This time in the buffet I would like to single out Metaya the floor manager and our server Jerome. She took care of us while waiting to be seated as we were swallowed up.by groups of 7. The good part was that the food did not make us physically ill & was kept at appropriate temperatures so a Big Kudos for that! Now when I tell you the food did NOT taste good this is an understatement. It was generally flavorless with the exception of the baked cod that had a very strong "fishy" flavor. I remember last yr when I played the tables here and fellow player told me buffet was really good. I decided to try here instead of going to Beau Rivage. Very Good COVID precautions!! They serve you cafeteria style and have shield that cover every aspect of the food. I really enjoyed the boiled shrimp, the bbq shrimp was ok just some hard to peel. Not necessary but nice they get something for making your food fresh. In a typical buffet you serve yourself but currently they serve you cafeteria style (they serve you). I don't know if it's worth the high $27 for dinner tho. (No players card or military discount tho. Might try lunch to see if it's different. You can also Pretip when you pay so don't need cash for tip. Also they serve you drinks which is great! Servers are always friendly and helpful. I think Palace has the best buffet of the casinos on the coast. We like to go for Sunday brunch. They offer champagne, mimosas, poinsettias and bloody Marys with the cost of the buffet. The standout item is the prime rib. It is wonderfully seasoned and cooked to medium rare, which is exactly how I like it. But if you like yours more done, they can throw it on the grill for a few minutes. You can also get steaks cooked to your liking. The Southern section offers a variety of favorites including fried green tomatoes, gizzards and fried chicken. The Asian section offers a hibachi grill, and you can also create your own custom pasta near the seafood area. I also enjoy the salad bar with the chilled plates, fruit, premade salads and a large dessert area. There really is something for everyone, and everything is great quality. It can get crowded on Sundays, especially holidays, but the wait usually isn't too bad. It has a large dining room, and the tables aren't cramped together, so it is a pleasant atmosphere. read more

First of all there are some reviews in here that can't be true!!! We moved to the area back in June. We have been for lunch and dinner at least 10 or 12 times. I really don't agree with the Asian only buffet comments or the NOLA guy and others. It has been 4 or 5 stars every time!!! From the steaks at night to the amazing fried shrimp and my wife loves the comfort food station & the desserts. Salad bar is nice and homemade dressings. Back to the night. The brisket is very Texas worthy. Almost 5 star brisket. I have not even tried the Asian section but need too, to the weird guy thinking it's Asian only!! My eyes roll emoji on him. My family and I have been to the palace buffet several times since relocating here to the coast. The food is always fresh and delicious and quite honestly it's the best buffet we have ever been to. There are so many amazing foods to choose from whether it be seafood that's fried or boiled, to a steak that's flame grilled right in front of your very eyes!
