We found this place while celebrating my nephews 2nd birthday Service off the back was a 10/10. We had a big table and they handled us with care and we had a great time with them. They knew the menu and helped us with choices we were stuck on but we also felt like home despite us visiting for the first time. We had 2 servers Myles and unfortunately i cannot remember our other server but she was just as great. The interior was so spacious and easily accommodated our party of 20. Great spot with plenty of conveniences. They have their own parking lot, which makes visiting easy. I recommend entering through the front entrance where the host stand is located. Inside, there's a large bar with ample seating, along with plenty of tables on the main floor. The food was very good. I would love to see a few more menu options, but everything they currently offer is well prepared and flavorful. My top recommendation is the Patio 44 Redfish. It was easily one of the best blackened fish dishes I've had in a long time. The black eyed peas were delicious and paired perfectly with the Gouda grits. Wonderful food and wonderful service! My partner and I came here for brunch. We were roughly 12 minutes late and when we were on our way, the restaurant called me to confirm if I was still making it. They were very friendly the entire time and the lady at the front desk definitely displayed genuine southern hospitality. That was already a big plus for our experience. I ordered the gulf crab cake benedicts, and they were legit the best egg benedicts that I have ever had. There wasn't an overwhelming amount of hollandaise sauce, which was amazing because too often egg benedicts would have too much of it to define the flavor. Instead, the crab cakes were very well-seasoned by themselves already, containing a good spice level. Once I broke open the poached egg, the yolk elevated the entire dish's taste. The side gouda grits also had the perfect balance of creaminess and grainy-ness, while seasoned very well. My partner and I also enjoyed the Bayou Crawfish Nachos, which had a ridiculous amount. There was definitely a generous amount of crawfish meat and andouille sausage. There was also a lot of spicy cheese sauce, but because everything else was so abundant, the sauce was able to ensure every tortilla chip is coated with it. It was very delicious! Individually, my partner had the beignets and they overall liked it, mentioning that they weren't able to find good beignets in the north (we're located in Minnesota) and that what they had here was more than satisfactory. They also ordered the biscuit and gravy with white gravy, and specifically said that when they took the first bite, it was like the moment in the animation Ratatouille when Anton Ego had his first bite of Remy's ratatouille dish: in other words, the dish brought them back to when their grandmother made biscuits and gravy, in the most positive way. It was that good. If you have read up until this point already, then I think you know that this place is a solid 5 star in my book. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Biloxi, or just any of the three places in Misssissippi that has this restaurant. I visited Patio 44 recently. We were seated quickly, but the service was a letdown. I asked for my salad to come before the main course, but it never arrived. We ordered a 12-ounce steak (which had at least 20% fat), catfish and grits, a kids' Alfredo, and a kids' brunch. The kids' brunch was supposed to come with grits, eggs, and bacon, but I asked to swap the bacon for tomatoes since we avoid pork. When the meal came out, it still had bacon, even though the waitress acknowledged the mistake. Then, when I mentioned we didn't get grits, she insisted it didn't come with them. I showed her the menu, which clearly listed grits. After confirming with the manager, she said it was supposed to come with potatoes, but those were swapped with the tomatoes--when the tomatoes were supposed to replace the bacon. Ultimately, we never got the meal we ordered. The food was just okay, and despite the 15% military discount, the confusion made it a disappointing experience. Wow just wow. I'm a Northerner who moved to Texas for the last 24 years and since my son in law joined the Air Force have not been this far down in the true Deep South since we lived briefly in Atlanta (which could be argued is not the true South)! Our son in law had his birthday today and wanted to come here and so we did! We came around 6pm and were seated quickly. The place has a very cool vibe - lovely patio dining - great warm fire feature on the patio - and a warm friendly interior. We got the menus and quite frankly were blown away by the wine and cocktail choices- drinks arrived swiftly. Our waitress- Jasmine - was simply amazing. I can not say enough about her warmth and hospitality. She helped us navigate the choices and made excellent recommendations- she was always present for us and omg the food. The "debris fries" as an appetizer was amazing - as beyond good as expected. I ordered the southern pot roast (over mashed red potatoes) and O M G. First bite and I had to stop and wave - I felt the warmth of the lord come down from above and provide what can only be described and a second coming to deliciousness! I had to pause and look up to the sky and ask our savior why I had spent my whole life never to come to Biloxi and find this place! See here; pot roast up north, and sure there in Texas - is different. It's all good. But this one, great balls of Fire - greatness. I slowly worked my way through - there's a slightly saltiness to it - perhaps from the gravy - but it all works sooooo well together. Honestly for this kid from West (by God) Virginia who's now 59 years old - it's like I found out for the first time how cooking should be done. I could go on for another few paragraphs about the pot roast or I could share how good the kids food was (it was all equally delicious). Let me cut to the chase. Food is beyond expectations! Our server (Jasmine) was amazing. If their other servers are 70% as good as her this is Michelin Star place right there ! Bar was hopping. Tables were happy - place has a great vibe. But the sweet ending - the price - was beyond fair / I expected to pay more for what I got. This place is an honest bargain. Or perhaps this Northerner is new to the South ? Great service food came out very quick. I got the crawfish étouffée and it had a strong tomato base with a perfect amount of spice. She ordered a salad for starters. It showed up with the meal. That's a first for me. We both ordered the Filet with scalloped potatoes. Only serving of those made it to the table. The second finally made it after we were completely done eating and ready for the check. Not sure if this was the server or kitchen mixup but the kitchen was blamed. The bread and potato's were the best part of the meal. $39 for a subprime cut that wasn't seasoned the best was disappointing. If this was Applebees, most of this would have gotten a pass but not an establishment with higher than chain restaurant prices. We wanted to avoid the casino restaurants and try a local flavor while in town. I'd give this one a pass if I'm ever back in town. Oh, and the 3 shrimp added with the steak were very small. We were seated on the bar side and were the only ones there around 4PM. Huge selection of liquor and alcohol. No beers on draft, so that was a bummer, but no problem. They had bottled Abita Amber which was great for me. We both ordered steaks - Ribeye & New York Steak Strip. Both were cooked to what we liked ! Medium and medium well. We added the buttery garlic sauce and that really took the steak experience to the next level. The Brad and butter were very sweet and fluffy. Overall - this place was just what we were looking for. Service was absolutely awful, terrible and horrible. We never got greeted at the host stand and eventually just walked over to the bar after realizing nobody was gonna come greet us. As someone from Kansas City I have experienced bad service, but this was just below par. I'm sure it's great during the day but at night it just seem like a dumpster fire. Once we get to the bar the bartender proceeded to visibly express to us via conversation about our drink and food order how beyond anger she is that she is busy and people are there an hour before they close . Regardless the food was absolutely delicious although the pasta was really bland and didn't have much of a flavor to it but my nachos were delicious and very fulfilling. My Family and I came here on a vacation trip and decided to try Patio 44 because it seemed good. However, while we were here, we waited more than two hours to not even receive all our food. They told us they could accommodate 22 people, but all we got were refills on drinks and appetizers after an hour and a half. The food we received after waiting TWO hours was cold, and some of us waited hours for a simple salad. One of the salads was wet and the other already had dressing spilled all over it out the ramekins. We only received these few orders when someone went in to cancel all of the orders. The fact that other families such as small families both black and white received their orders before us leaves us to believe that this is not discrimination but just terrible service. A few of our family members that arrived late(30min) and decided to have takeout orders received their food before us shortly after they ordered. We proceeded to wait another hour and a half before again we only got one third of our orders and the food was cold. No manager or owner came out to speak to us and apologize for the wait or tell us what possibly could have been going on in the kitchen. This was terrible hospitality and I would rate this restaurant a zero if I could. Again I don't believe this is discrimination, but it has to be something deeper because again they told us they could accommodate our party yet decided to make us wait for our food until we decided to complain and then gave us a few cold sloppy plates. The gumbo was cold and very average. The shrimp po-boy was cold. The salad was wet. The other salad slapped together. The red beans and rice was cold and bland. Never come to this restaurant. Edit: the manager came out very late and apologized and came with the rest of the orders after almost three hours. She only gave us an apology after I asked if she was the manager and if the kitchen was backed up all night. She said yes and that she was short two cooks but said herself that it's no excuse. I love this place. Just a hop, skip and jump from the casinos on the gulf. I love the chicken and waffles but my favorite is the red fish on the half shell. Sounds like an oyster dish, but has nothing to do with shellfish. It's blackened red fish with a crawfish cream sauce. I've ordered this same dish the six times we've gone. We had a lovely meal with my husband, my sister and her husband. I had a wedge salad to start, it was delicious. My sisters husband got pimento fritters, it was good but too rich for me. For dinner I had the butcher cut angus beef steak and it was perfect, it came with grilled asparagus and that was very tasty but it was al dente which I didn't care for, | like my veggies cooked. My husband had the pasta jambalaya and it was a lot of food. He enjoyed it. My sister had a special they had that evening and it was a filet with a glass of red and a side, she loved it. Wayne had chicken and waffles, what a presentation! There was a lot of food for that entree. The server was fantastic, he took very good care of us and was quite knowledgeable. I wish I could remember his name. This meal was a special one for me as I had a sister I just started talking to for maybe 3 years and we had never met. My husband order his eggs over med - and they were under done, not even over easy, clear and slimy. my grandson ordered the three meat omelette and it was so salty, he couldn't eat it. The service was rock solid as ever the server took all orders masterfully and I say this because everybody at the table deviated from the item with some type of special request.
