Cooked a perfect medium rare--exactly the way a steak like that should be served. Great crust, incredible flavor, tender all the way through. One of those steaks where after the first bite you just stop talking for a second. The baked potato was fantastic too, and they did it right--it came with every topping you could think of, all laid out in a clean, polished, professional way instead of just tossing stuff on a plate and hoping for the best. The Caesar salad was excellent, and bonus points because they even offer anchovies if you actually know how a Caesar is supposed to be eaten. The mac & cheese was also outstanding--rich, flavorful, and absolutely worth ordering. Their wine and bourbon selection is dangerous in the best possible way. You can tell they take that part of the experience seriously. And the skillet cookie? Easily one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. No notes. Just order it without chocolate sauce but add caramel sauce. On top of all that, the restaurant was extremely clean and presentable, despite being in a casino and the staff treated us like royalty from start to finish. I think I've been to BR three or four times and am never disappointed. The restaurant has a full wait staff as expected of an upper scale establishment. All were friendly and competent. Regarding the ambiance, I'd call it casino pretty, BUT if moved outside as a standalone, the same decor would work well. It was all cooked to perfection! We got the seared NY strip, creamed spinach and lobster bisque. I prefer a creamier bisque, but it was still tasty. The staff in front of house is CLUELESS. Young and inexperienced . We arrived 5 min early for reservation and we had a show in casino to see. They didn't have our table. I understand that casino restaurants are there to serve their high rollers, but if you're a reservation you should honor it. They seated 15 parties that arrived after us and we were 30 minutes getting seated. Waitstaff was kind and attentive but truly it was our first time dining here as we recently bought a house near the casino on the beach. We might not go back. We visited on a Tuesday night and this place was busy! We were early and had a drink the the bar to start. The bartender was friendly and engaging, as the good ones are. The atmosphere was classy and high end, as to be expected at a casino steakhouse. Everyone involved in serving us was friendly and helpful. The drinks were well executed and the wine list was extensive. The food was just ok. The steak tartar was very well executed and the star of the night. The Caesar was fine but nothing special. Our steaks were okay. My ribeye was overcooked, more medium than medium rare, but I didn't want to send it back and have my husband's steak get cold while waiting. The butter mashed potatoes weren't exactly Joel Robuchon quality, so we'll pass on those next time, but the entree alone was worth our visit. My husband recently had a stroke and is unable to use his left arm, I usually cut his steak for him. I asked was it possible to be cut before it came out and she said, no worries I got you! She cut it tableside and it made the dinner so relaxing for both of us! The meal was great as well, we had a crab cake appetizer which was full of crab not alot of stuffing. We each had steak (delmonico for him, filet for me) both cooked perfectly, and we shared the lobster Mac-n-cheese- large pieces of lobster combined with gooey pasta, superb! We live on the Gulf Coast BR Prime is one of our go-to dinner spots, so it pains me to give it 3 stars. The last three visits, though, have had a common theme...the kitchen needs to pay attention to what they are sending out the door. My wife had the filet and I had the Delmonico. We both like a little seasoning on our steak, but both cuts were so salty they were inedible. In addition, mine was tough beyond belief, so even if I wiped the seasoning off I couldn't cut it into bite sized pieces. To top it off my wife's scalloped potatoes, which were actually mashed potatoes with cheese sprinkled on top, were cold upon arrival. We are not complainers and we are big fans of BRP, so we tempered our feedback to the server. He apologized profusely and adjusted our to exclude about 50% of the total due. Front of the house was their usual efficient, timely, ebullient selves. The atmosphere in BRP, if a little loud (hey, it's a casino) , is always upbeat. Our waiter was wonderful and fun. It is hard to come across genuine treatment with an establishment at bustling as this place but everyone staff member we ran into was pleasant and attentive. The good - handwritten birthday card (but if you're going to go to all the trouble, you could put the person's name at least on the envelope?), amazing souffle', decent drinks (lychee martini was too strong and not one of the better ones I have ever had) , truffle fries, salads, and birthday gift of macarons to go home with (honestly would have been happier with the chocolates the table next to us got). The bad - the amouse bouche we were given was described as some sort of crab bite - it tasted like fishy tuna from a can and I had no where to spit it out as much as I wanted to - so swallowed it holding my nose and prayed I would not get sick later. The fried chicken I ordered tasted gamey and had a thick, bland coating that fell off- Popeye's is better IMO! This seemed possibly leftover from a previous night perhaps. - def not fresh. My husband's steak - he said was ok - but nothing special. Quick and good service at the steakhouse in Beau Rivage. Solid selection of wines, apps, steaks, and etcetera so there's something for everyone. Our party of three got oysters, beet salad, french onion soup, veal chop, delmonico steak, and ice cream to share. The complimentary bread and whipped butter was warm and good to start off with. The oysters were fresh and the shoestring onion rings on top of the soup added a great textural component to the app. The meats were both requested to be cooked medium - veal chop ended up being more medium well and the delmonico steak was prepared more medium rare. I went tonight and took my sister who has never tasted king crab. We ordered steak and king crab. The steak had zero flavor, king crab was served with something that was like melted Crisco oil to dip it in. I expected a tasteful melted butter. The waiter was outstanding as always. He finally melted regular butter for us. The crab meat was sweet and delicious. Crisco dip was awful. The market price for just the crab was 300.00, which would be fine if it was served with proper butter. The steak had zero taste. For over 550.00 I fed me and my sister. I started with the crab cake which was delicious seasoned perfectly. I then had the classic wedge salad with ranch dressing instead of the blue cheese dressing it comes with. Then I had the lobster which was good but I could've down without the sauce that comes on it the butter was good enough for me. I shared some of the king crab legs because let's be honest 2lbs is a lot of crab meat. The lobster and king crab are pricey but well worth the price because they are cooked to perfection. They actually come out of the kitchen with very large King Crab on a cart and literally crack the crab out of the shell for you while you watch. Decided to eat here after visiting the casino I must say this restaurant is pretty expensive. I started out with a caesars salad which was delicious. For my entree I got the lamb medium, it could have been seasoned a little more. Overall, the lamb was cook just how I wanted it. I got it with mashed potatoes which were really whipped. The mashed potatoes came out hot and tasted good. I also had the Brussels sprouts which comes with horseradish sauce on them that added a kick. I hadn't had a meal at BR Prime in quite some time but I am so glad I went last night. Every aspect of the meal was really exceptional. They were kind at check in, greeted me by name, made me feel welcome. Within moments, I was greeted and offered water. Bread and butter was delivered and I was asked about having a wine or cocktail. I took note of the table spacing and despite being flanked by other diners, I had plenty of space. The tablecloth and appointments were sublime. The wait staff were impeccably dressed and groomed and they all seemed to be enjoying their work and had a great attitude. As far as the meal is concerned, the images speak for themselves. Oysters were cold and had a trilogy of exquisite sauces, the tuna tartar was a delight, the steak was perfect (I opted for crabmeat on top), the duck fat fries were the necessary carb, and to follow all this - a wonderful crème brûlée.
