Disappointing Experience at Prime Cut After Years of Loyalty My husband and I had dinner at Prime Cut in the Beach View Casino on Friday night. We have been loyal guests for six years and usually enjoy exceptional meals and service, which made this visit especially disappointing. We began with the Lollipop Lamb Chops in a fig balsamic glaze, along with the pepper soup and spinning salad. The pepper soup was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious, and the spinning salad was just as good as always. After finishing our soup and salad, we waited over 30 minutes for the next course. When the food finally arrived, it was not the lamb chops we had ordered as our appetizer, instead, our main courses were brought out. I ordered my steak medium, but it arrived well done, and my au gratin potatoes were overwhelmed with cheese. My husband's fish was prepared correctly, but his creamed spinach was noticeably overcooked. When we asked about the missing lamb chops, our waitress whom we had only seen once the entire evening returned to say they were bringing them out but would remove them from the bill. I also mentioned my overcooked steak, and it took another 15 minutes to receive a replacement. I requested to speak with the manager to express my concerns about the delays, the missing appetizer, and the improperly cooked entrée. His only response was, "Well, I took the lamb chops off your bill," before walking away. That level of dismissiveness was unacceptable. We have always received gracious, attentive service here, which is why this experience stood out so sharply. Had I not had some comp $$$ from the casino, this would be s 3 star. Seating and ambience was ok, neither splendid nor poor. The staff was about the same really. A surf and turf for me and a lamb chop for her. Was not asked how either of us wanted our proteins prepared but rather told thru the menu. Ok, fine. The fillet came out to the billed medium rate and was seasoned perfectly to where no sauce/glazes were really necessary, but were enjoyed. The 3 shrimp skewers wrapped in bacon were drenched in a sauce that overpowered the entire skewer. I'd asked because the shrimp were a jumbo red Argentina that were different than what could be caught around the Northern part of the Gulf on the what the difference and was told "if you don't eat shrimp that often, you won't notice they are a bit sweeter". While I don't, that sauce certainly negated the possibility of me seeing a difference. The wife's lamb chops were good, but we prefer rare to well done. They weren't cooked to the point of being inedible, but could have been better. The sides of the gratin potatoes and sweet potato mash were...average. Because we paid almost half off our dinner, I rated higher. Had I paid full price, I probably would have complained and definitely sent the lamb back. And a 3 star rating would've been warranted. read more

The service is impeccable andvthe food is incredible we split the 14oz ribeye with all the trimmings it was amazing salad is mixed for you at the table and is delicious only downside is prime cut is in a casino and its a little chilly there. read more

I eat here every night for dinner when I'm visiting. Meals are always amazing and the staff is absolutely the kindest and most attentive. If I could figure out how to eat dinner twice each night I would. read more

The prime rib was amazing! One of the best I've ever had the pleasure to dine on. The Caesar salad was nice and fresh and crisp, had the right amount of dressing where it wasn't over powering and enough where you weren't lacking! The prime rib was melt in your mouth delicious! Seasoned with the right amount of salt and pepper! It was (The Prize) a huge cut which I ate the whole cut! I was stuffed! Sam was our server and he was excellent never had to ask for anything twice let alone once! He was courteous and well versed in the menu! His food runners were great too, they were quick with their delivery and attentive to remove any used plates and utensils! I look forward to Dining at Prime Cut again Sooner than later. Always eat here when I am visiting the casino. Appreciate it is on the smoke free side, but more importantly they always have great food. Tip: Never pass up the soup of the day. It is always incredible. Aside from that I typically get the prime rib. Never disappointing. If you are a bourbon aficionado like me, they have a well stocked bar with some rare selections. If you are unsure, ask Oscar, he is very well versed. read more

Steakhouse located in the Island View Casino, on the Beach side. Offers great views of the beach looking West. Good steaks and seafood. Excellent service. They have a salad they're pretty proud of. read more

Best Prime Rib in city. Spinning Salad great. Great service and for Casino restaurant prices are very reasonable. One of our favorites.

First off, we came here thinking we were on a date night due to the type and price of menu items, we were wrong so this review might be a bit biased. The tables are big and the chairs are awkward. They're going for a 60s-70s theme. You cannot have a conversation because they seat you across a large table from the person you're with. The place is loud. The color lighting is constantly changing. They serve a special "spinning salad" which makes no sense because you can't see the salad spinning anyway and they cart them around on cheap silly carts. THE FOOD WAS GOOD. I got a ribeye and my partner the English cut prime rib. The bread was meh. The salad was surprising good. However, it was hardly enjoyed in the loud/can't have a conversation atmosphere. Our service was great. Hardly any seating is anywhere near the windows so don't expect a view. read more
