This place is always a favorite several times a winter for this snowbird. I particularly like the catfish dinner, either fried, blackened or grilled, but most of their sandwiches are good too. Prime rib nite is a fave of mine. They have specials most days, like Taco Tuesday, etc., and breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings. And the hostess with the mostest, Kristin, is the best. read more

Parking was easy and I actually found a spot in the shade! When you walk in there is a deli case with what looks like fabulous cakes and desserts! We ordered burgers and they were delicious! I would love to try the other items on the menu! We were so full we didn't get to try any of the desserts Service was friendly and excellent. We really enjoyed our lunch! Beautiful view on the deck. The service was very good. The food was good but not what it send to be years ago. I live n East Biloxi and used to frequent Harbor View quite often just for their chicken salad. It was delicious mixed with chunks of chicken, grapes, pecans and it was a huge mound of chicken salad. The last time I went was about 10 years ago and the chicken salad sucked. The chicken appeared to be put through a food processor and tasted terrible. My trip yesterday was good but a big disappointment, although the chicken salad had good flavor, it was the size of a medium ice cream scoop and the rest was lettuce, tomato and cucumber. I also had eggplant fries which were good. If I go back, I'll try something else... I've never understood why you would change something that is already delicious.. read more

Much less impressed with Harbor View this time around. They seated us outside without asking and I don't think our server was notified that she had another table. We sat for about 15 minutes with no service before finally catching someone and asking where our server was. When our actual server came out, she was very apologetic and very attentive for the rest of the meal. It seems like there's a communication issue from the host stand. The food was pretty good and the prices were great. We stopped by on prime rib night this visit and thought it was the bees knees! Pasta, salad, and fries were all great! If they're able to solve some of the non-food issues, I think Harbor View will get a better review next time! read more

This was a cute little place to have a breakfast on my birthday. The food was really good, but the service was a little slow. The place was packed full, so I am not complaining. I completely understand. The waitress was sweet and attentive. On the inside, the restroom sink, clean, and the rest of the place. It seems to be a really popular place and it's not too far off the water. I decided to bring my bikes and ride them around the area after breakfast. Definitely will have to come back and here again they have outdoor seating and indoor seating. It seems like a great little spot. read more

As always it was a great experience! We sat at the bar and our server Ava was very attentive and sweet. We had Hush Puppies a Patty Melt with Onion Rings, House Salad and a cup of Chicken & Rice Soup. Everything was really good. The salad was so fresh and very large. So big that I had to bring my soup home for lunch tomorrow! The Patty Melt was cooked well and very tasty. The onion rings were good and crunchy. The Hush Puppies were very good. lunch at the harbor was like no other. lexi was an incredible waitress! she was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. she recommended the fried shrimp poboy though she doesn't eat seafood, and it absolutely didn't disappoint. it was easily the best i've had thus far on the coast. she threw in a honey mustard poppy seed dip for my fries which was impeccable and incomparable to most restaurants around. i 100% recommend the harbor cafe, but definitely request lexi! she made my mother and i's lunch amazing, and that says something coming from two waitresses! read more

I was excited to eat at this cafe because of the high ratings and because it's located in one of my favorite cities. I ordered the eggs Benedict with the home style fries which were potatoes. The eggs Benedict was delicious!! But the home style fries (potatoes) looked and tasted like they were cooked 24-48 hours prior to me getting them on my plate. I typically don't add salt or pepper to my food until after I taste it, but there was no amount of salt or ketchup that could make the potatoes taste any better. There was no crunch to the potatoes...they were so soft and the texture was just off. I will say though that the customer service we received was amazing. Our waitress was very polite and our coffee and water glasses stayed full throughout our dining experience. read more

This is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of downtown Long Beach! They offer many delicious food. It is a small restaurant and great outdoor patio seating if the weather permitting. They have nice outdoor seating with a view of the Gulf of Mexico. They have a small bar, if that is your fancy. Drink responsibly. I had a chance to try their small dessert selection and is baked fresh daily. It might vary slightly depending on what they bake. The staff is super friendly with a southern hospitality. Like family you have not seen in a long time. They have plenty of parking. If not they offer other spots across the street and is a short walk away. Now the food experience. They are well known for the eggplant fries. Which I had few times. They are a must if you are in the mood for some. Unfortunately we did not get it this since we were not that hungry. I can not think of of other locations that offer this. They have many other great offerings, but have not yet to try them yet. The sweet tea is fresh brewed and good. If not, they off sugar packets if you want it sweeter. To be honest, it is good enough for me. We got the salad trio (chicken salad, tuna dip, shrimp remoulade). It doesn't seem like a lot of food but it is very filling. They are delicious. The tuna dip salad is not fishy at all as people may think and their experience with it. It was not at all, matter of fact, super fresh with no smell at all. Chicken salad has light sprinkle of sliced almonds in the top. Shrimp Remoulade is good and should get it if want it alone. It has a little kick but not too spicy, so do not get discouraged by it but come with a lot of flavor. Actually they three have great flavor! You can not go wrong if you can no decide on what to get. Why get all three if you can't decide. It comes with a side of crackers for you too. Served on lettuce accent the plate for color. Along with tomatoes and cucumbers. Nice touch! Also ordered the Ruben sandwich with fries (usually served with chips). We asked for fries for an extra fee. The sandwich and fries were excellent as is everything they have. If you are in the sandwich mood. We were so full from our experience. I had to order the key lime pie to go since I had the opportunity to order it since they just baked it. It light tart and sweet at the same time with a creamy taste over a gram cracker crust. Well worth it if you are in the area! Great breakfast location on the weekends. Only do breakfast on weekends.
