By far the worst service ever for a breakfast place. People walking around doing nothing, it took 15 minutes just to get coffee, and they were not busy at all. It's unfortunate "management" can't keep staff and the wait for a table wasn't the issue. The kitchen was understaffed and apparently unable to keep employees. We would love to try the food. I heard the seafood eggs Benedict is great. I don't blame the employees for losing business on a very busy day and the misfortune of losing tips. We visited on the Sunday following the 4th of July and it was pretty. There was a 20 minute wait and it literally took 20 minutes to be seated which wasn't bad. Our server wasn't the most attentive which is the reason why I'm not awarding 5 stars. Arrived on a Monday for breakfast and the restaurant was pretty empty. We were hoping that was a good sign but service was a complete miss this day. We had 3 people in our party and it took a few brief moments to be seated. Once seated, we ordered our food with our server. She looked like she was struggling with the handheld device as she asked me to confirm my order again which I did. She moved on to the other individuals and got their order. Our food took a very long time. There was a table before us and a few tables after us. We were all waiting and were quite surprised at how long the wait for the food to hit the table actually was. When the food came, mine was incorrect. She wrote down a po boy for me instead of shrimp tacos. I asked her how long it would take for them to make the corrected item. She came back and replied "yes they can make you the dish". That's not what I asked. I'm well aware the restaurant can make me the right dish because that's what I had ordered, not a po boy. But I just ate it because we didn't have the time to spare given that the first round took so long. Someone in our party wanted syrup with his pancakes and since no one was coming around, he got up to ask for it. Food was overall aesthetic and tasted pretty good. When we were finished, we wanted boxes and we were again met with a wait. We ended up just getting up to get someone up front to pay our bill. LOVED this spot for breakfast! We stopped on a roadtrip for an early breakfast. They opened right at 7am. Jade greeted us and was super friendly throughout our entire time there! She's a gem! She was personal and attentive and managed the whole front of house by herself, and she made it look so seamless. The food was great--early bird specials were a great price and still had a good amount of food. I had the classic breakfast special and mimosa flight. The other person got the $5 coffee + beignet special and breakfast tacos. The grits were so savory and had a few corn pieces in it; the breakfast tacos were great! The taco shell was like a crispy wonton and the breakfast potatoes/hash browns were seasoned to perfection. It's located in a little strip mall. The interior is clean and decorated nicely. The dining chairs are super comfortable. Cozy atmosphere. I wish this place was a bit closer to home, because it would be a regular breakfast place if it was. read more

Came here on Sunday 11/2 after church to celebrate a birthday for a four year old. We registered with the hostess and were told it would be approximately thirty minutes. After thirty minutes we checked she said that there was another large party and they were waiting for them to leave. Per the hostess they had no where else to sit us and the other party simply would not leave. After an hour and fifteen minutes of waiting ( and watching many smaller parties seat before us) they finally said we could sit. When we sat we were put at the back wall. A four seater table was put together with a two seater table and a chair at the end and this is where they would sit any large party. When you Looked around this could have been done anywhere in the restaurant. Our party was six adults and a four year old. The single star is for the miserable service. Only half our order was served and after ten minutes the other half was served. The entire order was placed at the same time. We had to ask for more forks and the server said they were washing them and they would be out shortly. The biggest insult was that we were forced to pay a 20% service fee for a large party. The server did not offer to refill our drinks nor bring any condiments to the table. I see the four star reviews and perhaps a smaller party gets better service but we will not be back nor recommend this place to anyone. read more

Eggs were way overcooked and and we were disappointed in that the servers didn't come by to ask for refills on our drinks or how the food was until we were done. Our waitress Jade was very nice and made sure to explain the menu to us since it was our first visit. The pancakes were thick and huge which Jade explained to us! She was not joking when she said they were big! My son couldn't finish it all! The burger was so good! While our food was decent, we had very poor service from our waitress who seemingly ignored us the entire time. She would just disappear for minutes on end and everyone who got there way after us all received their food before our group. One of people in our party had ordered a side of fruit which came with very dirty orange slices & when asking if she could get the dirty fruit taken off of her bill, the waitress had an attitude and tried to make excuses saying "well how is it dirty?" And then after showing the fruit, she goes "they were cutting fruit near where they were putting parsley on the eggs so the oranges just have parsley on them." I replied coffee, oh we'll have to brew some we only have decaf going. There's only three 2person tables taken and one of them isn't drink coffee! 24 minutes should've been more than time to get fresh coffee brewed. Eggs were overcooked asking for medium well with a little runny yolk. There was no runny yolk at all! I'm just passing through, no need to come back. Four stars instead of five because of the service. Food was amazing. Everything looked and tasted magnificent. I had the shrimp poboy, and it was bigger than I expected. The shrimp poboy is a good price for the amount of food. I've had smaller, less filling poboys for about the same price. The aioli sets it over the top. As for the service, maybe that and the wait for food will be better for smaller parties. We were a table of seven. Other restaurants can handle us with ease. The food took quite a while, even when we placed an order for beignets as appetizer. We got the feeling that perhaps she forgot to put in the order. We got the original ones that came with strawberry marmalade, they were alright. Perhaps the specialty beignets like the bananas foster would have made more of an impact. Wow, this is some poor service. The food is delicious but I don't know if it is worth it to sit through the service. The hostess mumbled and would not speak up so we could hear her. Then we sat down and asked about Gluten free options (the menu said to ask) there are approximately 3 things that are gluten free. We ordered our food, the appetizers took forever to come out. We ordered two of the make your own bloody Mary's, and both were missing several things. We had 6 people on one check and 3 people's food came out 20 minutes before the second 3 people's food came out. We believe the food was just sitting back under the heat lamps because the plates were piping hot. Very sad because the food was good. read more

Oh man. So glad we found this place. The food was superb and so was the service. If you are craving brunch, this is definitely a great place to stop. They serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and they serve cocktails as well. The deviled eggs with shrimp were the best deviled eggs I've ever eaten and one of the best dishes I've ever had. Bananas in pajamas was fun and yummy, but plan on finishing it there. It doesn't reheat well. My husband had an omelet and raved about it. The food was on point for a dreary Sunday morning. The Creole omelette was phenomenal, while the pancakes were just right for our 15 year old (about the size of a platter). The coffee was ok, but I don't expect much with house coffee. The southern Benny kept the little lady happy and well fed. They make an incredible iced caramel and vanilla latte. The server recommended it and she was spot on! It's a smaller place nestled in a standard strip mall appearance, so it isn't going to make you feel all warm and cozy, but it's perfectly good for a chain breakfast spot. Staying at a nearby hotel which had a second rate breakfast so we decided to try Brick & Spoon. What a great surprise! Delicious breakfast foods , unique combinations and great service. Clean and plenty of parking. Ample seating although it probably gets busy on the weekends. They have fall specials currently and they were right on time. I ordered the $5 pumpkin spice latte. Good size cup for the price, it wasn't anything special. I also ordered the chicken stack. Which is essentially pancakes and chicken. It was soo good. Drizzled with bananas foster sauce and pecans I was in heaven. This is fall special meal but it should be added to the regular menu. Overall, it was very good! The coffee is great! We were seated within 10 minutes. We ordered beignets to share, yum! They overloaded the plate with powdered sugar, but they were delicious! I ordered an omelet and breakfast potatoes, the outside of the omelet was a little well done, but still good. Potatoes were very good. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger and she said it was the best cheeseburger she has eaten! My son got the breakfast tacos, the shell was a bit odd - fried and was hard for him to eat like a taco. My husband got a pancake. I think this is where it's a big miss. The pancake is huge, very thick. I think they would do better making three thinner pancakes than one big thick one. The flavor was bland, and I'm sure it's due to the thickness. Next time we'll skip the pancakes and just order the beignets. Very satisfied and look forward to going again soon! read more

Horrible experience today! So I have been trying to support local and I have been to this location on Crossroads in Gulfport probably 5 other times. I usually get breakfast and it's good. Last month I went and the staff was complaining about being out of silverware. Says it's just disappearing? Well today I went for lunch and ordered a burger. First complaint is that it was brought to me in a to go container staff stated they had no dishes! Hamburger meat was awful. I had 3 bits, told staff and she said I'm gonna give you a discount don't tell anyone. What the meal sucked and I should have not paid anything. My husband had the devils on horseback and he really enjoyed them. Only downside was the service. Our waitress was very nice, but would go MIA for a long while. We had asked for a coffee refill and my husband finally got up with his cup and asked another waitress. Took quite awhile to get our bill. I was wondering if our waitress was maybe cooking too?
