Came here for lunch today and had a great time! Super cute restaurant that sells some of their items at the front of the store. I ended up buying a few things on my way out because they had a great deal! The hummus plate was awesome and I really enjoyed their pickled okra. I got the avocado salad for my entree and it was very good but a little different from what I expected. The chicken was like a shaved deli style chicken breast rather than your traditional roasted chicken. Either way it was very good!
I mean let's be real here, friends: The Lady May is a downtown Ocean Springs staple at this point. The food? Delectable. The service? A1. The vibe? Impeccable. I've been wanting to go since it opened but have been living in Indianapolis for the last ten years and always end up eating at my parents house or my past staples from when I grew up here. However comma, today I put my foot down and said I'm going to get that Crawfish Monica or Hot Honey Chicken if it's the last thing I do. Well? Chose the HHC special (after a fabulous round of the "Elvis" and I forgot the second drink but it was basically an Old Fashioned) and it was to die for. Yall, tbh I enjoyed it so much I put in an application as a server or bartender and I'm a whole Registered Nurse. SO! Maybe see yall there next time you visit? Thank you Lady May!

You just can't go wrong at Lady May! My wife's father was visiting and wanted to treat us to brunch. My youngest daughter and I were asked where we should eat and we both eagerly announced the Lady May as our choice. It's a 55 minute drive from our location, but we both knew that would be an easy drive because of the menu selection that awaited us upon arrival. We arrived on the day that the city of Ocean Springs was having its St. Patrick Day celebration parade, and the street on which Lady May resides was barricaded. As a result we were not able to get to the Lady May parking, having to instead park a couple of blocks away. There was a surprisingly large crowd already gathered along the barricades, well before the parade was due to begin. Checking with the hostess, we were told that there would a minimum 30 minutes wait for a table, not an unreasonable amount of time, considering the large amount of people we found clustered within the restaurant and outside. All the same, by the 20 minute mark, we were informed that our table was ready. Our waitress, who arrived at our table promptly, informed us of the day's special, the details of which I don't recall, but we each passed on it, choosing instead something from the menu. My wife chose the Biscuit Monica, my daughter the Crawfish Flatbread, and I and my father-in-law both chose the Shank and Egg with a side order of one Waffle. My previous reviews have noted the exceptional quality of the dishes produced by this fine restaurant, and I am able to report that the cook staff excelled yet again. We all expressed deep satisfaction with our dishes, and left with full and very happy stomachs. Of course, we couldn't get out afterwards without my wife and daughter stopping by their store where they each purchased some natural tallow based skin cream product for their personal use. The store is located right within the front door and is full of many nice skin, hair and even beard care products. I recently suffered a second degree burn to my hand, and found a soothing tallow skin cream that I apply daily. It has produced better results than any the OTC product recommended by my doctor. In conclusion, as you can tell, I have nothing to report in the negative about this fine establishment, and I wish them all the best in 2026 and many years to come.
We had breakfast. This restaurant feels like vacation. You know that vibe you get when you're away from home? Very solid and tasty breakfast. We sat outside, which we normally don't do and it was, looking back, sort of magical. Service was fantastic. You're not gonna go wrong stopping here for breakfast. Order the grits.
Madison was awesome! Great service from everyone at this restaurant!!! The Snack Board appetizer was my favorite with a side of hot honey, jalapeños (best I've ever had) and pimiento cheese. Also, go buy yourself six jars of their best (three for $25).
Excellent Food! I enjoyed a seasonal Brunch Chicken and Honey Biscuit with an egg added. It came with Fouda Gritz and is a just right portion and very tasty. Service at the bar is great. Even while busy in a saturday I wasn't left without coffee in my mug. The Lady May also sells Local Honey and Pollen along with Tallow Products in a very classy setup upon entry before seating. Definitely a must stop in Ocean Springs!
Update to my first review. I picked up the unscented tallow on my trip and loved it so much I ordered it online. They were having a free gift so I got to try the cleansing oil and the vanilla whipped tallow easy and fast shipping a great customer service and this is my new favorite face cream for winter.
Lady May and a cute spot. The wait isn't too long with a reservation. Outside seating was available immediately however inside had a wait. The front dining area is nicer than the back room and bar seating is offered as first come first serve. The menu has something for everyone with a southern charm flair. Biscuits come with the entrees. Ask for a Jam/Jelly - they have some interesting flavorful jams with spice. The crab cakes are most delicious and a very nice portion. Shareable if you enjoy family style dining. The burgers are good along side the tiniest shoestring French fries I've ever seen. The salad that has Seared Tuna is great too. After dining here you'll have want to stop by French Kiss for amazing French pastries to take home.
This was our second visit to the Lady May. It's a super cute, instagram-able spot right in the walkable area of Ocean Springs. This visit, we started with cocktails and they were prepared well. My husband ordered the fried chicken which was excellent. The biscuit and baked macaroni and cheese that came with it were outstanding. The macaroni reminded me of my grandmother's, but more decadent. I wasn't super hungry so I got the pimento cheese board to snack on. It came with delicious house made pimento cheese along with crostini, cukes, and hard boiled eggs. The candied jalapeños on the side put it over the top. My husband doesn't go out of his way for pimento cheese, but he destroyed the leftovers the next day. Definitely recommend the Lady May!
Save your fucking wallets and don't come here. The service was great don't get me wrong but the food is actually horrible. Also it took like 30 mins for the food to come out??? I got the Crawfish Monica cause everyone and their mom was praising this dish and the food looked good when it came out but holy shit was it bad. The pasta was so fucking bland and the sauce wasnt even enough so it was deadass just dry, bland pasta with bland crawfish on top. It was so disgusting and disappointing. Idk why yall be eating this and praising it like it's the best thing in the world cause ew And you already know if the Crawfish Monica was bland think about how gross the macaroni was. It was literally like if you had leftover cold macaroni cause the cheese was so nasty. My husband had the burger so I don't remember too much of what he said but he said it was dry and not worth the price. Just skip this place this place is sad.
Y'all this place was packed for lunch on a Friday afternoon...get yourself some reservations if you're in a hurry. We sat at the bar initially just to wait on a table but decided to order lunch there at the bar. We asked the bartender (I didn't get her name) for recommendations and she gave top-tier suggestions. Two of us got the bacon jamburger with fried pickled ocra and ranch dressing. When I tell you this is the best burger I've ever eaten, I am not exaggerating! Two beef patties, bacon jam, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and pepper jack cheese - the bun was so fresh and tasty. Let me tell you the fried pickled ocra was yummy! Our other friend got the hot ham and cheese with candied jalapeños and said it was epic. Now, the drinks were equally as wonderful we had the scarlet which was refreshing, not heavy at all. Highly recommended!
I am not ashamed to say that I used to be anti Lady May as I have had bad food, bad service, or a combination of both. However, earlier this year my family from FL/LA came to visit in January and insisted on having it for brunch. When they returned in February, we had it again! Lady May has definitely won me over the past few times with the food and service! My favorite that I have yet to get a photo of is the hot ham sandwich!

Local vibes, good food, and friendly staff. We were hungry and took a table outside instead of waiting for one inside. They do their best with fans and shade canopies but it is hot in that patio. Our server refreshes our drinks because our ice had completely melted. That's what we get for going at lunch time in July on a sunny day. The bacon jam burger was all I wanted. It had shoe string fries and was cooked PERFECTLY. My husband got stuffed tuna and it was delightful as well. Despite the weather we really enjoyed our food and pink lemonade. read more
I loved this charming restaurant! My husband and I (and our pup) were visiting from out of town and they are located in the quaint historic downtown area. We sat outside, since it was a beautiful day and the patio is pet friendly. That outside area has all the things...a fountain, sun shades, huge fans, heaters...they're ready for any weather. There's also a long bar outside with a tv...lots of seating inside and out. I got the crab cakes plate with pasta and a salad with lemon vinaigrette. I was happy with my choice...it was delicious. My husband likes "regular", so he got the hot ham and cheese with fries. Make sure you read the fine print if you like regular. It had an aioli and I think pickled onions, so he didn't care for it. It did have a lot of ham, but just one tiny piece of cheese. Our waitress was so fun and attentive...sorry I didn't get her name! read more

Pretty quaint friendly venue in downtown Ocean Springs. Open air seating available. Just a friendly inviting vibe from beginning to end. Food is prepared to order. Menu isn't cluttered, is simple and refreshing. Fried items fried in pure beef tallow. Cool merch, skin care products made from tallow, hot sauces and other cool stuff you can find here. Over in Ocean Springs looking for brunch! Long wait but gives you time to wonder around a bit. Had to start with one of their craft mimosas, the summer lovin. Pineapple and strawberry purée. Delicious. I've been craving a burger so I grabbed the Louisville slugger. Garlic aioli just sounded so interesting. It was really good! Best burger I have had in a long time. Messy! Going again this morning because it was so good the other day! You get welcomed in and pick if you want to eat outside or inside. They have a little bit of everything so everyone is happy. The waitress was also very helpful for our first time! I got the bacon jam burger and it was amazing! I also got a bite of the crab cakes and they were pretty killer too,I also had bread which I didn't take a photo because I was starving. All in all I would highly recommend this place if you can find parking! read more

Came here for dinner with a group. Even though it was s college football night, we sat down very quickly. Drinks, food and service were great. I don't love the type of fries they serve (personal preference), but that wouldn't stop be from eating here again. read more
I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here last night. The food tastes fresh and not greasy. I had the Louisville Slugger burger. I substituted the fries with a side salad. The burger was a double with bacon and bbq sauce. Quite large and not oily. I had vinegar and oil for my dressing. The Salad tasted fresh with lots of Crunch. Our server, Crimson, was real nice and took care of our needs quickly. She visited our table several times and cared that we enjoyed the meal. The seating is quite larger than it appears from outside. I liked the vibes and energy from the wall decorations. If you haven't been here, make sure you come. Lady May never misses. I love that you can order a waffle anytime--I paired it with their fried chicken and made my own chicken & waffles, and it was an absolute delight. The chicken was fried to perfection: crispy, golden, with that salty-crunchy-sweet vibe. I do wish it had a bit more seasoning, but it was still solid. The waffle though? So freaking delicious--pillowy, soft, and filling in the best way. One is definitely enough. My son had the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza and really enjoyed it. Service is always on point here, which keeps me coming back. And the fries? Elite. Fried in beef tallow with a rosemary salt blend--always perfectly cooked, never soggy. Pro tip: Go on Tuesdays for the $8 burger deal--get the Louisville Slugger and ask for extra garlic aioli on the side for dipping your fries. read more

My husband and I went here for lunch. We had our dog with us so we had to sit on the patio. I love this patio! It kind of has New Orleans vibes with the brick, fountain and nice music. It has yellow sun shades hanging that add to the decor as well as a cool concrete bar. The food was delicious. My husband got the crab cakes and I got the beef shank and fried eggs over grits served with a honey butter biscuit. The servings were huge so we both took half of our meal home with us. They have a cute market inside where you can buy some of their delicacies. We will definitely go back next time we are in town. read more

Girl's weekend began with The Lady May. I knew I was in for a special brunch when I saw the Bloody Mary bar. I had no idea that all the pickled vegetables and jams we spent 15 minutes picking out would feature into our meal so we could narrow down what we really liked. The Bloody Mary bar had a selection of okra, green beans, and pickles to add to the drink and all the jams we were contemplating were front and center on our brunch boards. We did not spare a calorie on this trip, we had mimosas, the pimiento cheese board, the biscuit board and the waffle board. For four people, that was plenty. We all loved the waffles, bacon jam, and the peach jalapeno jam. I loved the sliced sausage pan fried on both sides and of course, the pimiento cheese. read more
