I was actually pretty surprised at how good my burger was! We came get a bite to eat after the concert and the food was really good just not the service. Very unprofessional and it seemed as no one wanted to claim any tables, people waited a while before being served. I like that they stay open late and the prices are really cheap.

There is something to an old style diner type of setting and it's something special that thankfully has not gotten overshadowed by the "pizazz" of the current era. The best way I can sum up The Diner? It's like going to Denny's, but with manners. I heard my Dad (who is native to Biloxi) rant on and on about a BLT he gets having no clue it was here, but during my last trip my curiosity was sparked so we stopped here to mark that off the "Mississippi to-do" list and I was far from disappointed. From start to finish I really felt like I stepped back into the 50's. It had everything from simple decor, simple menu, simple service, and simple hospitality. The only thing simple was the taste it left my palette when it was all said and done. So as I mentioned the menu itself is very simplistic housing your typical diner food (burger, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc.), but I came specifically for the BLT and I stuck to my guns and not even look at the menu (because I know how that would've gone). Ha-ha! What I love is that the sandwich itself was straight up, but packed FLAVOR. If you're going to have only the basics you best make it taste good and they do an amazing job amongst the simplicity. It was surrounded by very thin (toasted more than my liking, but it's all good) white toast. It was spread with a light layer of mayonnaise which I guess left me wanting more, but that's a personal preference of saucing up a sandwich. The lettuce and tomato were actually pretty fresh and crisp which honestly from a casino restaurant I wasn't expecting (oh how the world has corrupted me). Hands down the bacon is where I ended up getting sent to a euphoric trance. I was thinking I would only get maybe a piece or two, but the ratio of bacon to pretty much everything else blew me away. I looked at my Dad and just smiled because there was bacon for days practically. It was so crisp and flavorful and abundant throughout. This definitely had to be one of the best versions and leave it to the South to rise again (in that regard). The previous reviews here were night and day from my experience, but to each its own. If you are in the mood for just some down home sampling of Americana then I would look no further as for me this is well worth a 10 star rating if I could give out one! It was that good that I totally didn't even remember having a waitress, but the staff was really hospitable (on the way in and out) and you can't EVER go wrong with that!

Food order timing was slow and what finally came was wrong. Overall service at our table and those around was slow and disjointed.

It was originally named Marina Cantina but is under new ownership. Parking is a bit sparse here, and you used to be able to park under the bridge but that was blocked off last time I went. You may have to park in the overflow gravel lot just west of the building, which also serves as parking for the excellent Blue Dog Bistro next door. We started with the Tres Amigos appetizer, which included a pile of fresh chips combined with salsa, cheese sauce, and black bean sauce. It was great and really meant for more than two people. They don't skimp on this one. I've been here several times and always get the Shrimp A Go Go poboy, which is pictured here. Although I feel like it could have used a few more shrimp for the price point, it was really good and comes with this creamy sort of salsa that pairs well with the fried shrimp. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich, and honestly it was bigger and looked better than my poboy. I am definitely trying that next time. I hope this place is doing well because it never seems very busy when we go. It's like something is missing on the inside to liven it up. Our tables were covered in epoxy that was cracked and we saw buckling on the wood floors, most likely from humidity. Service has always been pretty quick and I have never had any complaints. I know the City caused a lot of drama for the previous owners, which is unfortunate. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a place to hang out and have a few drinks and great food.

Had a beachy vibe. Had to have some Duck and andouille gumbo. So good ! Get a bowl. It was pretty darn tasty. We also had some Epic deviled eggs. These were just ok. Nothing really 'epic' about them but good. Finally we had some Flamingo chicken bombs. Deep fried tenders and jalapeños. Pretty tasty and hot! Bailey our server was awesome and offered great suggestions. I bet this place is rocking during the summer with boats coming in and live music outside. Would love to come back for that.

Is it even a proper vacation in Biloxi if you don't give this place a visit for breakfast? The answer is NO !! When your motto is It's never too early to get toasted!! You are talking my language and that's how you start a proper vacation day:) We left Alabama in the wee hours of the morning to get here before they opened. We ordered at 7:04 am . A grapefruit mimosa for me and two Irish coffees for my husband and son. My son pretty much gets the same thing everytime an Arnold . This time it was a West coast Arnold w/ hash brown casserole . He ate it up!! I got the Dragon fruit pancakes 2 pc . Man one pancake was plenty and yes they are as big as the plate. Hubbie got the pork chop breakfast . On the 16th (our leave day) I got the (2)Strawberry Hibiscus Spritz and my son got a Cappuccino cooler. Hubs had to drive back home so he just got a coffee. Hubbie got the chicken and waffles , I got the yolk lovers breakfast with cheese grits ( When you are in the South Grits must be eaten at least one meal of the day) and my son got his Southwest Arnold again lol! My son looked at his mug and said I want one . Yes they sell them for 31.99 eek a bit high for my blood but He bought it himself. He has been using it everyday since We got back home. He said He will probably buy another in July. It's a solid breakfast place and enjoyable if you get here before the crowds. By 9 it gets packed quick be an early bird -get toasted -and Have a great start to your vacation!!

He chose the plantation hotel supposedly because of all the raving reviews but let me set the record straight there is nothing amazing about this hotel except possibly the animals. Now let me explain who this hotel is perfect for. If you like animals especially peacocks...this place is perfect for you. If you like dead fly's in your tea....this place is perfect for you. (They have tea and cookies at 4 o' clock everyday. We were super excited except when we got there the cookies and tea had just been sitting out. I was so excited for the juice that I failed to look at it before drank it. Then i realized there were dead flies in both punch bowls. I took pictures but i'd rather not creep you out. I'll just leave that to your imagination. If your between the ages of 40-100 this place is perfect for you. You can definitely appreciate the quietness, the quilt on your bed, and the whole ambiance of the hotel. The hotel room is just bland. In the guest book it says that the hotel has been recently remodeled to look like a home from back in the day. I ask the lady how long is recenlty and she said 10yrs ago!!! Our shower door was broken. There was a wooden table and chairs. Its just not what you expect when you come to a hotel. I expect luxury and what I got was a room from 1890. Sunday Brunch is actually what Plantation is known for. That was probably the best part of our whole stay at the hotel. It was a breakfast buffet which included eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage. (the norm) But it was actually pretty good. I can't complain about that part. This hotel is actually in close proximity to the outlets if you want to go shopping and about 15minutes from the casiono's.

Welcome to the brunch experience of HOLY SHIT, WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?…read moreFirst, abandon all expectations at the door. Service? Excellence? Basic supplies? Those are apparently premium add-ons. Coffee? No problem. Tea? Absolutely. Ketchup? Sure. Hot sauce? Of course. Oh wait. My bad. They're out of all of it. At some point I genuinely started wondering whether the restaurant had recently been looted or whether we had accidentally arrived during the final hours before foreclosure. Carbonated water? Nope. Bloody Mary? Bold of you to assume a bar should know how to make one. Mimosa? Apparently you'll need to get your ass back in the car, drive somewhere that maintains a working relationship with both fruit juice AND champagne, and try again. The bar itself appears to be partially stocked, which somehow makes it worse. It's like looking into a pantry after a hurricane. There are technically objects in there. Whether any of them can be combined into a recognizable beverage remains under investigation. And then there's the customer service. Sweet baby Jesus. The overall atmosphere feels less like brunch and more like I accidentally walked into the middle of a workplace dispute nobody bothered to warn the customers about. Nobody appears to be wearing the same uniform, or possibly any uniform at all, so identifying actual employees becomes its own interactive brunch activity. Last time we came in, a woman in a tracksuit approached us with such confidence that I genuinely had no idea whether she worked there, was another customer, or was about to ask us why we were sitting in her section of Planet Fitness. Turns out it was her first day as the hostess. Of course it was. Honestly, at this point, if someone walked out of the kitchen wearing pajama pants, carrying jumper cables, and announced they were the executive chef, I'd just nod and ask whether the ketchup had arrived yet. Nothing about the place feels coordinated. The drinks aren't coordinated. The staff isn't coordinated. The inventory isn't coordinated. I'm not entirely sure the building itself has been informed that it is currently operating as a restaurant. You don't come here for brunch. You come here for an experience. An experience that begins with, "Surely they have coffee," progresses rapidly into, "How are you out of THAT too?" and ends with you sitting in your car afterward staring silently through the windshield while your passenger whispers: "Let's go to Waffle House" Come hungry. Leave confused. And for the love of God, bring your own ketchup.
