I was actually pretty surprised at how good my burger was! We came get a bite to eat after the concert and the food was really good just not the service. Very unprofessional and it seemed as no one wanted to claim any tables, people waited a while before being served. I like that they stay open late and the prices are really cheap.

There is something to an old style diner type of setting and it's something special that thankfully has not gotten overshadowed by the "pizazz" of the current era. The best way I can sum up The Diner? It's like going to Denny's, but with manners. I heard my Dad (who is native to Biloxi) rant on and on about a BLT he gets having no clue it was here, but during my last trip my curiosity was sparked so we stopped here to mark that off the "Mississippi to-do" list and I was far from disappointed. From start to finish I really felt like I stepped back into the 50's. It had everything from simple decor, simple menu, simple service, and simple hospitality. The only thing simple was the taste it left my palette when it was all said and done. So as I mentioned the menu itself is very simplistic housing your typical diner food (burger, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc.), but I came specifically for the BLT and I stuck to my guns and not even look at the menu (because I know how that would've gone). Ha-ha! What I love is that the sandwich itself was straight up, but packed FLAVOR. If you're going to have only the basics you best make it taste good and they do an amazing job amongst the simplicity. It was surrounded by very thin (toasted more than my liking, but it's all good) white toast. It was spread with a light layer of mayonnaise which I guess left me wanting more, but that's a personal preference of saucing up a sandwich. The lettuce and tomato were actually pretty fresh and crisp which honestly from a casino restaurant I wasn't expecting (oh how the world has corrupted me). Hands down the bacon is where I ended up getting sent to a euphoric trance. I was thinking I would only get maybe a piece or two, but the ratio of bacon to pretty much everything else blew me away. I looked at my Dad and just smiled because there was bacon for days practically. It was so crisp and flavorful and abundant throughout. This definitely had to be one of the best versions and leave it to the South to rise again (in that regard). The previous reviews here were night and day from my experience, but to each its own. If you are in the mood for just some down home sampling of Americana then I would look no further as for me this is well worth a 10 star rating if I could give out one! It was that good that I totally didn't even remember having a waitress, but the staff was really hospitable (on the way in and out) and you can't EVER go wrong with that!

Would be zero stars if I could. Terrible service, horrible food. Why would you eat here.

Food order timing was slow and what finally came was wrong. Overall service at our table and those around was slow and disjointed.

I live right around corner and eat there whenever I can. The seafood is always fresh and tasty. The owners are very nice and always smiling.

We went on day that unfortunately was raining; so we time it out when the rain stopped or slowed down. It is nice little restaurant. They mainly offer takeout only. They do have dine in sorta. Is not an inside but a few picnic tables with a cover. The cover is not big enough to block the rain. They have plenty of parking. It is located in small shopping center. As we arrived and walked up. The smell of something delicious brewing! They unfortunately just only accept cash. The menu is conveniently posted on the wall and very easy to read. We just had few people in front of us. I opted for the fried oyster and fried fish (swai) platter. We had to get a shrimp poboy. They are well known for their sandwiches. We also got an order of onion rings and Shrimp Lo Mein. She said our order will take a while. She gave us a buzzer. She advised us we will buzz you when it is ready. We waited in our vehicle. As we paid for it. Just happened a crowd of people showed up. It actually did not take that long to cook. On the way home the smell of deliciousness filled the air. The oyster and fish platter looked amazing and tasty. It came with a small cup of potato salad, roll, cocktail sauce and tartar sauce, hush puppies and a generous amount of crinkle cut fries. The shrimp poboy was large with plenty of large shrimp. It came fully dressed (mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles) Large order of onion rings. Order of Shrimp Lo Mein. Very tasty! All were so delicious and amazing! Besides the weather. Recommend making this your next takeout meal.

I love Blue Dog Cafe - never had a bad food experience until today…read more I ordered the Lettuce Leaf Tacos with a side of Heirloom Tomatoes. I read the description of the tacos and considering this is on the "good dog" side of the menu, I thought the aioli would be a light drizzle or put on the side. For the tomatoes, I expected two slices of heirloom tomatoes with herbs on top. I was way off, and lesson learned - I will ask questions before ordering new to me meals. I would have never imagined to have a plate of 90% aioli tacos and slushy grape tomatoes put in front of me. The tacos had so much aioli on them, I could not even pick up the tacos without the contents sliding out and aioli all over me. I tried to get the aioli off with napkins but it had soaked into the slaw, so I ended up fishing the meager amount of shrimp out with my fork. The tomatoes were the icing on the cake - they had the consistency of stewed grape tomatoes, which could have worked if there had been a crunchy ingredient, like cucumber, added in. I was thoroughly disappointed with my meal and left still hungry, but the pressed coffee was amazing and our server was so attentive and on top of everything.
