Several nights until 8:00 p.m. A few of my personal favorites are shrimp grits and catfish featured every Sunday until 2:00 p.m., country fried steak with white gravy and eggs another Sunday menu favorite. Breakfast is served until 10:45 a.m. every day, lunch is served from 10:45a.m. Until close every day. Lunch and dinner menu items are equally delicious. The seafood sampler is a personal favorite with a generous portion of catfish and shrimp fried to a golden brown state coupled with a cup of seafood gumbo or red beans and rice. Definitely a "to go" box is needed! The pot roast is a don't miss experience for those who long for those Sunday dinner memories from days gone by. The vegetables are cooked slow and seasoned well, just like mom or granny used to serve! I dare you not to reminisce! I was so touched by our experience at the Port City Cafe! We were traveling through and came in to get beignets before leaving this part of the country. We arrived just after they ended breakfast, including beignets. I was so bummed! When our server, Amanda, found out why we had come in she asked the owner, Ernest, to make a special batch for us, and he did! They were everything I wanted. SO good. Their dedication to true hospitality made my day. We ate lunch too, everything was yummy. Reasonable prices, good food, wonderful people. It was too expensive for the few oysters they put on there, and they were very small. They were OK, but not the best I've ever had. I like my oysters soft fried. They were a little overdone.. The bread was really good, not the typical real crunchy bread you get elsewhere, but it was good, not heavy and it was light. Potato salad option. I wish they would give a dill option. The one star is for service. They stop serving Breakfast on Wednesday at 10:30. I was there at 10:40 and they told me lunch only. I hope they change that and make it little later than 10:30 but anyways hopefully I will try this place again sometimes when I'm near by. read more

This is one of your families favorite places to eat and that being said my Father-In-Law chose it for his 90th Birthday Celebration. We spoke to the owner Ernest in advance and he was more than willing to accommodate our party and allowed us to put up some decorations, stored our cake and ice cream and found an old 1933 Football game to put on the screen. We ordered from the regular menu and we had a variety of Burgers, PoBoys, Sea Food Platers and Shrimp Scampi. the staff kept everything moving and glasses filled the food came to our rather long banquet style table setup so that everyone was eating at the same time and all of the food was hot. They helped with picture taking, they were there at every turn to help. I don't know how Chef Josh pulled off the 15 different plates and had them all arriving hot and on time, something just short of a miracle I would say. Did I mention that while handling our party the rest of the restaurant was open open to the public with orders being taken and food being severed. These fine people's efforts and service made a memorable evening for our friends and family. We look forward to the next time we dine at Port City Cafe, truly one of the best local places to eat in Biloxi and on the Gulf Coast. Stopped here on the way back from losing $$$ at the Casino. It has plenty of free packing and lots of tables and stools. It is a quaint place, kind of old fashion with tables and a long counter with backless stools. They cook right behind the counter, kind of like a Waffle House on Steroids. I had the Meat lovers Omelet and OMG, it was huge and stuffed full of meat and cheese. I could barely eat it all. I was wondering what the meats were because I tasted steak or roast beef along with bacon and sausage, so I asked the waitress. She was great. So she leaned over and looked at my half eaten omelet and said in a soft motherly tone "humm let me see.... I see bacon, sausage, cheese and roast beef". I laughed my butt off. We went to the Port City Cafe this morning and it was an excellent experience! Our waitress Laura was quick to clean a table and seat us. She also was fast getting our drinks and anything we needed. I ordered the two egg breakfast and the husband ordered a Fiesta Omelette! Both of us loved our meal! We also tried the beignets which were amazing and served warm! We almost didn't go here due to a average review we saw but it was so good that we said if they were open tomorrow we would eat there again! This was one of those times where I risked it after reading mixed reviews... and regretted it. I will begin by saying that the food was good. The beignets were delicious and our other breakfast choices were what I would expect from any diner. If you are with other adults having a leisurely meal and have time to kill, Port City Cafe would make a great option. However, if you find yourself needing breakfast in a timely manner because you have somewhere to be... it would be in your best interest to go elsewhere. We waited 15-20 minutes for drinks. Our food took over an hour. We had 4 children when they seated us, and by the time the meal arrived, we had 4 hangry beasts. The staff, while pleasant, seemed very stressed and overwhelmed. The restaurant was very full and there was only one cook. This is obviously not the fault of the staff, but from our standpoint it did not make for an enjoyable visit. read more

we had dinner on Friday 4 October and the place was packed full. our dinner party was 4 adults. it is always good food and friendly service. even though it was busy since crusin the coast just started we were waited on very quickly. the service was wonderful and we had a trainee. the food was great, southern comfort food. I had catfish and shrimp with gumbo and greens. it was all good. large generous portions and inexpensive. everyone enjoyed their meals. this is a place I will go back to. read more

First visit, definitely not so much a cafe as it is a restaurant, they didn't have breakfast options on the menu. The overall cleanliness needs WORK!! tables were sticky, the floor had some napkins or paper wrap from straws on it. The staff was friendly. It has a open Kitchen so you can see them prepare your food. However didn't seem to care about hairnets to much in the food prep. The food however made up for the gloomy and not tidy ambience. We ordered the fried oyster plate which came with fries as well and 2 hush puppies and the shrimp scampi which was surprisingly good! The salads that came with the meals were less than thrilling. If you're looking for a bite and no other options are available then sure stop in. But I don't think I'll be stopping by again. read more

Tonight dinner was a our first night visit. Slow service and took 20 minutes to get a large basket of fried okra as an appetizer. Was told we had to sit on one side because "moping" was fixing to be done over there however our waitress tonight just sat on her butt most of our time while we were there. She also had been coughing and sneezing and did not wash her hands afterwords. Husband got country fried steak as usual it was to par. Tonight I got shrimp scampi and it was not good at all. My pasta was over done and excessively watery. I could tilt my plate and the water would run off. My husband asked our waitress about if the pasta was suppose to have that much water in it and she just replied it's a butter sauce. I have cooked and I know what separation between water and butter looks like. After a few bites more I finally gave up on my meal and my husband split his with me. Our waitress then came and saw I hadn't eaten my food and asked what was wrong and if I wanted anything else. I said no. We love this place during lunch the environment is wonderful but even a great place has some bad times at night due to different staff. read more

What an awesome place, the food is amazing and so is the service. We've been countless times and have never had a bad experience. My favorite is the fried catfish dinner, best I've ever eaten. If ever in the area I highly recommend this place. Only negative thing I could say is they don't serve alcohol, sometimes I like a glass of wine with my meal, but I settle for a tall glass of ice tea, the house wine of the south. read more
