What an amazing find! This place is off the beaten path, but it's well worth the trip. The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. We started with the fried pickles, which were crispy and flavorful. My husband ordered the seafood platter, and it was packed full of perfectly breaded seafood. He couldn't stop raving about how well-seasoned everything was, especially the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. I had the Alfredo with blackened chicken, and it was seasoned just right--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. We couldn't resist taking a slice of cheesecake to go because it just looked too good to pass up. We will definitely be back! !

Get the fried Oysters. They're lightly breaded and seasoned so perfectly. Not overcooked, not overly breaded, not greasy. So super good, I nearly cried. I also enjoyed the fried and grilled catfish. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. Worth every dollar.

Decided to check out Flatheads down in Biloxi. Walked in on what appears to be a very off night, all the tables are in a large room but are all very spacious. The list of problems was long and I don't want to kill them that much. For starters, they had two young girls working the tables and were clearly overwhelmed. We waited about 45 mins for an appetizer and received them without any plates or even utensils. We got the buffalo wings, good size but we've obviously have had better. I got the all you can eat Catfish dinner while my wife got the gumbo which she did not enjoy, neither came out together. I finally had enough and went over to the bar room to alert the bartender who luckily saved the day as he took charge of us for the remainder of the night, great gentlemen with management potential. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the catfish but it's clear this was an off night, another local couple said it's never this bad so we will chalk it up that.

The "debris fries" as an appetizer was amazing - as beyond good as expected. I ordered the southern pot roast (over mashed red potatoes) and O M G. First bite and I had to stop and wave - I felt the warmth of the lord come down from above and provide what can only be described and a second coming to deliciousness! I had to pause and look up to the sky and ask our savior why I had spent my whole life never to come to Biloxi and find this place! See here; pot roast up north, and sure there in Texas - is different. It's all good. But this one, great balls of Fire - greatness. Honestly for this kid from West (by God) Virginia who's now 59 years old - it's like I found out for the first time how cooking should be done. Our server (Jasmine) was amazing. If their other servers are 70% as good as her this is Michelin Star place right there ! Bar was hopping. Tables were happy - place has a great vibe. But the sweet ending - the price - was beyond fair / I expected to pay more for what I got. This place is an honest bargain. Or perhaps this Northerner is new to the South ? I don't know but I am so happy! Thanks to the wait staff, the greeter, the bar, and the management for leading a great experience!!!

We told our waiter about the issue and he was quick to take it back to the kitchen to have a new steak made. While we were waiting, multiple managers (or at least what I can only assume were managers) apologized to us about the issue and assured us the new steak would be out soon. Our waiter--accompanied by one of the managers--brought the new steak out, and they waited to make sure it was cooked correctly this time as my dad cut into it. The second steak was an improvement, but it still wasn't very good. My dad didn't want to make a fuss about it and said it was alright. When our check came we were pleasantly surprised to see that they had comped the steak for us. Overall, it was a fairly good experience. The food wasn't terrible, and when there was a mistake the staff was more than happy to correct it. It seems like the people who run the place really do prioritize the guest experience and want people to be happy with the food they're paying for! I'm hoping it's just an unfortunate coincidence that their food just didn't measure up to the price tag this time, but it's difficult to say with only having visited once.

The mac & cheese was also outstanding--rich, flavorful, and absolutely worth ordering. Their wine and bourbon selection is dangerous in the best possible way. You can tell they take that part of the experience seriously. And the skillet cookie? Easily one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. No notes. Just order it without chocolate sauce but add caramel sauce. Regarding the ambiance, I'd call it casino pretty, BUT if moved outside as a standalone, the same decor would work well. It's a little loud, and if your eating party has soft spoken people, you might not hear them.
