Our anniversary dinner at Mignon's was such a memorable experience. Tucked inside the Palace Hotel, this restaurant truly feels like a hidden gem. I began with the chargrilled oysters -- rich, buttery, and decadent, even though they weren't served in the shell. My husband's bacon burnt ends were a standout, especially with the pineapple adding that perfect sweet contrast. My main course was the scallops, and they were phenomenal: large, tender, and cooked perfectly. They came with shrimp and a roasted tomato-artichoke risotto that was creamy, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. My husband's Redfish Filet was equally impressive, featuring domestic redfish, shrimp, tomato spinach, white wine, sweet pepper cream, and fried smoked Gouda grits. The hostess greeted us warmly, the service throughout the night was excellent, and the atmosphere made the evening feel special. We have been going to the Palace for awhile and We decided to eat here one evening. I needed to look at the menu before I made a reservation. I have dietary restrictions so I needed to make sure there was something I could eat . So the hostess shows me the menu then disappears. Left us like that and the bartenders at the bar were swamped. Thank goodness I think the owner(a sharp dressed gentleman in a tan suit saw us and made a reservation for us. We appreciate that He did that for us. After that snafu it was wonderful! We started with drinks:a seduction martini for me, a manhattan for my hubbie, and my son got a paper plane.( It was very strong so he couldn't drink it -was made with bourbon ) I don't think he read the description lol. We let him pick something else and he picked a dessert wine. Are you supposed to have a dessert wine with your meal? Nope do We care not a bit. It's what my boy wanted and We are just trying to get him out of his comfort zone. For apps both my husband and I got the shrimp cocktail. It came iced on the hugest platter I have ever seen! The satchet was actually a lemon so you could squeeze it without getting your hands sticky. For entrees I got the redfish, hubbie got the chef's catch which I personally liked better (It also had homemade pasta! ) and my son got the chicken chasseur he devoured. We got a crème brûlée and they gave me a free cheesecake for my birthday. I appreciated this touch. So what did I think -Our waiter and waitress were friendly, our bellies were so full by the end, and We are glad We tried it. My husband would love to come back for the venison course. My hubby and I were on vacation in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, and we spent a night at Palace Casino Report in Biloxi. We decided to treat ourselves to a bells-and-whistles steak dinner at Mignon's Steaks and Seafood. What a treat! What an elegant, relaxing experience with delectable food and drink and superb service. I ordered a Sazerac, and the bartender created the best Sazerac I've ever had. This cocktail is sometimes hit or miss, but at Mignon's, it was perfect, with the right amount of absinthe and the glass even absinthe-washed. We shared the fried green tomatoes with domestic Gulf shrimp as an appetizer, and that wound up being my favorite thing on the table. The tomatoes were friend perfectly, but lightly, and the sauce was delicous. The shrimp were amazing! We also shared a bowl of five-cheese onion soup. What can I say? When you put five different cheeses into a deep, rich onion soup, the result is savory scrumptiousness. Steaks were perfectly cooked. My creamed spinach was the best creamed spinach that I've had in a long while. I nibbled off my hubby's loaded baked potato, and those nibbles kinda-sorta started turning into big bites. Our server's name was Joseph, and he was terrific. He was polite, sweet, efficient, funny, and also just a down-to-earth and real person. Thank you, Joseph. We hope to see you again someday once we move to Texas! i know you said you don't get to Texas much, but we might just show up in Mississippi again for a visit! The restaurant is divided into partitions, which gives you a feeling of privacy, which is nice; but it also gives you a feeling of being separated from the main dining area, which is not that nice, the food was well prepared and the service was great but the food itself was very expensive and not quite worth the quality. The steak I had was good and cooked perfectly. My wife got the king crab legs. They were not good. They came pre-split which is normal, but the amount of salt that was in the boil was so high it covered the taste of the crab itself. This is not ideal when you are paying $125 for the crab legs. We ate dinner last night here. The ambiance was high end and private. Nicest steak restaurant out of the coastal casino restaurants we've eaten at. We were immediately greeted and my husband was wished a Happy birthday from both hosts, the server, and his assistant. Very nice way to start the meal. We had chargrilled oysters to start and they were a great size. The flavor was perfect and they were cheesy and yummy. My husband had the ribeye with blue cheese butter... oh my!! Delicious! Dined here many times, usually twice a week during our week visits. Regrettably no longer our go - to Biloxi steakhouse since this last visit on August 27. Lots of changes. Steak overdone, bread very bad, bernaise sauce totally different, a decent wine now starts @ $100.00. Should have sent steak back but didn't. I was starving and in a casino and wanted a good meal. Just as the Kentucky Derby is running I show up without a reservation and was promptly seated. I had a three course special and was quickly given water, bread and a chilled shrimp complements of chef. Potato leek soup was the first course and was warm and tasty. The filet was perfectly cooked and was served with small quantity of mashed potatoes and asparagus. I didn't order any sides. White chocolate bread pudding was the included dessert. Now this is fine dining!!!!! Top of the line food, service, and atmosphere. Luke and I had a pleasant night for our year anniversary dinner at this enchanting Palace casino restaurant. We both had the Bacon Wrapped Filet Medallions and lemme tell you... THESE STEAK MEDALLIONS WERE THE BOMB. Steak was perfectly cooked, we both got medium rare. They were well cooked and charred on the outside while pink and juicy on the inside. The bacon was cooked phenomenally and definitely not overdone. They also put enough to where we had bacon in every bite! That is how well this dish was constructed. Definitely worth the $38, I PROMISE. We also got a shareable side of Mac n' Cheese, and LEMME TELL YOU, these sides are TRULY SHAREABLE! At most restaurants, you don't expect to get much mac n' cheese when you order it because they are stingy, especially in fine dining. THIS PLACE REALLY GIVES YOU YOUR MONEY'S WORTH. We had the best servers ever. Dallas and Jackson were TOP OF THE LINE. Never had such great service in my entire LIFE! They really do know how to pick their servers. The hostess and manager were also super kind, with management checking with us and making sure we were having a splendid time, we were constantly shown that we were welcome here and all they wanted for us is to enjoy. Lastly the place was BEAUTIFUL AND SO UPSCALE. It's small but it is set up well, and the tables are not close to each other. It also was not packed on a Saturday night which was definitely a relief. Perfection! Group of seven of us - including a local chef and a couple of foodies - had the pleasure of eating at Mignon's for the first time this past Saturday night. Everything was exceptionally delicious! Below is everything we tried and our top favs. First - the service we had with our lead server Devin was wonderful. She was knowledgeable about every part of the food and cocktail menus. She really made our evening fun. Appetizers - Crab Beignet, Calamari, Pork Cheeks and Ravioli were all tried and were all really really good. The crab beignets and pork cheeks tied as our favorites. Starters - Caesar Salad, Blue Cheese Salad, Chop Salad and Lobster Bisque. All salads were delicious. The chop salad would probably edge out as the favorite salad. And you just can't go wrong with a lobster bisque. Entrees - Filet, Strip, Bone In Filet, Bone in Ribeye and Lamb. Holy cow. This is really the highlight of the meal. We tried varied sauces and toppings and all were divine. But by a hair, the bone in filet would win with the au poivre sauce. Side Dishes - Mashed Potatoes, Brussels, Broccolini, Truffle Chips. While our side dishes were a little neglected (we were getting full) they all were great. The most surprising were the truffled chips. They were divine. I'd actually order them as an appetizer next time. We only had one person with room to spare for dessert - my pregnant sister in law who can't pass up a creme brûlée. This review is not about the food, which was really good, but about the service. We sat at the bar, which wasn't crowded, and ordered our appetizer and entrée. Two bartenders that weren't particularly friendly but they don't need to be. The young and attractive people at the bar were getting their attention.The appetizer was brought out and I asked for some water. The staff could be more knowledgeable of the food they are serving ( I had to look up a definition on the Internet, after asking our waiter what a certain item on the menu was and he could not answer the question) other than that the food was excellent. This restaurant obviously hires well trained chefs and it shows, they offer pallet cleansers throughout the meal and it helps for the full flavor of the next item to shine. I suggest the onion soup and lamb chops. My wife and I have visited here for a wine tasting before but wanted to check this place out for dinner so we decided to go here for our anniversary. It was surprisingly slow for a Friday night (only saw three other tables seated) but this provided a quiet, private environment, which we enjoyed. Staff was friendly and attentive. Our waitress was helpful in suggesting wine pairings. We split the iceberg wedge salad, which was good but had too much dressing in my opinion. My wife had the filet and lobster tail. The lobster was cooked right and not overcooked. I had the delmonico ribeye, which was cooked closer to medium well than the medium that I ordered but still tasty and tender. We enjoyed both steaks but they were cooked in a way that gave them a minimal sear then finished slow, which doesn't create that light crust that a hot sear will. Again, this is just a personal preference in preparation. There are other coast area options that I prefer for steak but overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here and wouldn't hesitate to return. I had the lobster bisque and a petite filet, both were great but the bisque was def the star of the meal. While everything was good, nothing was wow, how did they do that?! Atmosphere and decor was pleasant. The one stand out was our waiter, Nathan, and management. My husband ordered a bottle of wine, to save a long and dull story, the wrong bottle was delivered and opened, a full bodied red instead of the white we had expected. Many possibilities of how to handle this, but Nathan apologized, did not charge us for the bottle in error and then brought the desired one. Let me start by saying the service was great from hostess to server, however, the food was less than desirable. My husband and I both ordered the filet mignon and while they were both cooked to order they lacked flavor and were simply bland and tough. Usually with aged beef it's more tender then a steak at your chain steakhouses, but I would compare this to more of a steak from Denny's. We also paid extra for Oscar topping and it also lacked flavor and had shells in it. We brought this up to the server and were told basically that's a risk when you get a topping of this type. I can honestly say I've ordered this sauce often from multiple other steakhouses and it has never been dry, flavorless or Shelly as the one at Mignon's. I was excited to try this place since it received such high star reviews, but can't see myself going back or recommending it to anyone, especially since there's a Morton's right up the road. read more

Just delicious!! Seafood Medley appetizer was divine--crab and lobster cake, 3 large gulf shrimp, 2 bacon-wrapped scallops that were very sweet and smoky. NY Strip was juicy, tender, full of flavor and thick! Sweetest lobster tail we've ever had. Truffle potato skins were also just perfect. Dessert was double vanilla bean creme brûlée--wonderful!
