It was good and worth the $9. I passed on a main course and had the stuffed mushroom appetizer instead for $11.95. Mistake. My wife and wanted a Gulf Coast Restaurant experience. We had dined at Bulls once and enjoyed the experience. Tonight unfortunately we had a sad one. Thought it safe to order an oyster po boy and my wife a grilled shrimp remoulade salad. The oysters were poorly fried, mostly breading, small really small and I couldn't eat them. I attended a private evening event at Bull's in November. Everything was wonderful! The service was friendly, fast, and accurate. The food was fantastic! It's hard to assess the ambience since we were in a side room, but when I went to the bathroom, I saw that people were able to have conversations with their companions without yelling. Our waitress, Emmy, was super sweet and very attentive. We were looking for a diner spot in Long Beach on Thursday evening. We popped in here and had a lovely experience. We had the Mexican eggrolls as an appetizer and they were very good. I had been craving a grilled earlier in the day so I ordered off the kids menu. We go to Bulls some and have generally been satisfied. About mid range quality for coast. Today, my wife was in with a large group. One of her party stepped out for a call. Someone on the staff removed her plate. When confronted, all the servers denied it. The owner, John Bull, was a complete jerk about it. He said she must be lying. He refused to give her credit for 12 meal or replace even though the group spent probably 200 including expensive drinks. Who does this A-hole think he is? His rudeness and lack of customer friendliness is worse than any place I have seen on the coast, or most other places. This is a small town and we will bury him in complaints. It includes groups we have that come there. No more. There is plenty of competition around here. Stay away. Steve's Marina, Harbour House, others much better. read more

I Ordered the chicken parm pasta and my mom ordered the chicken parm sandwich both of which was very bland and had no flavor . The red Sauce on both had no taste chicken had no flavor . We come here a good bit to eat and normally we enjoy it but the last few times has been a hit or miss . I just cant understand when people say this place had the best food they have ever eaten. They are clearly lying. The mac n cheese tasted like liquid onion powder with mushy noodles beyond over cooked. Who puts lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a philly cheese steak. Broccoli balls...... no.... just no.. everything is canned or ordered frozen. Chicken Quesadilla was comically bad. Store bought stale tortilla with microwaved frozen chicken and pre shredded kraft mexican cheese. Salsa was just picante sauce out of the jar. When asked how was my food and gave an honest answer saying sauce tasted like it was out of a jar and everything was poorly put together the lady rudely scoffed and said whatever rolled her eyes and walked away. Im sorry if i pay for something at a restaraunt i dont want it to taste like it was made by a 5 year old. I feel like this place pays for reviews. Its always dead. It only gets busy during jeeping or cruising the coast. Seriously its not hard to make a homemade salsa or pico de gallo and hand shred a roasted chicken and hand shred quality cheese. I don't understand the negative reviews/score here. Luckily I didn't see this restaurant on here before I came or I may not have. The decor is awesome, especially for Mardi Gras. I had the Caesar salad, ribeye and spinach. It was all cooked perfectly and flavorful. I've really enjoyed eating here and wish I had found it last night when I got in. Bull's is hands-down my favorite restaurant on the Mississippi Gulf Coast! Their chicken tenders are the best you can get literally anywhere - fresh and crispy, not the pre-packaged ones you could get out of the freezer aisle, y'all these are for real. But my very favorite item on the menu is the Bernie's steak sandwich! It is just perfection. Get Broccoli Bites as an appetizer too, you won't be sad! Today, 2/5/25 , we had our Ladies Luncheon, which was at Bulls Restaurant in Long Beach. My Boyfriend, Mike Knoch, and Oran Bond was there eating and also waiting on Margaret Bond and I to get done eating. All the ladies were in the Party Room, while the guys were in the other part of the restaurant. The guys had gotten their food way before we did and had finished it. Mike did not like the Gumbo because he said it wasn't seasoned, and didn't eat it. He then got a French dip which was to salty and only ate half of it. Was sitting there drinking his Bear, when the OWNER, John, came to his table and took the money for the bill and then came back and was asked unexpected to leave the establishment without any explanation or a prior warning despite behaving appropriately Throughout the visit. He told Mike, that he had to leave and that he was trespassing. My boyfriend then asked him why and he came back with the answer of I CAN TELL ANYONE TO LEAVE THAT IT IS MY RESTAURANT. Still no reason why. This left me feeling completely unjustified and poorly treated. I would expect a business to provide a clear explanation before asking someone to leave especially when there appears to be no legitimate cause. I truly believe him being the owner he would be more considerate to paying customers, but I guess that's just how some owners do. read more

Cute place. Nice staff. A restaurant needs to be more than this. Flounder: Freezer burn, water under the fish from rushed defrosting, stuffing lacked flavor and tasted commercial. This is a classic easy dish with plentiful fresh resources locally for flounder. Unacceptable. Avoid. Chicken Marsala: Frozen chicken breasts with mild batter fry smothered in a mushroom mix with consistency like a chunky jam. Mushrooms were identifiably canned. Did not taste like it was made with a legitimate recipe wine sauce. This dish should not be fried or seared with panko flakes. Another basic dish not made to standard. No menu description to inform the customer of the dish changes either. Do not expect this dish to be a representation of the label. Spinach soufflé: Obviously boiled spinach with more than whole leaf parts drained and topped with bread crumbs. This is just unbelievably poorly made food and inappropriately priced. Save your money and eat somewhere else. This dining experience ends when sat at the table. read more

Food was good. Service was good. This was our first time trying it. I thought it was a high end restaurant based on the exterior. This is on same level as Outback but ambiance is much better. It was not crowded for a Friday night either. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were very good; wish they would use large portobello mushrooms though. Serving of four seemed like a small amount. We both got salad with our meals. It reminded me of the bag salad from the grocery stores. Bread was warm and very tasty. If you want to be treated like a human being, DO NOT come here; well, certain folks anyway. Back in my hometown visiting; Anytime I am home I try to support local small businesses. I regretfully came to this establishment to pick up some gumbo to go. Ordered two "bowls" and was provided partially filled styrofoam cups. The server who brought it to me lied and told me the cups were filled, but they weren't. Why even bother to say it?? After I left, I decided it wasn't a good value (FOR ME) and called to speak with Lisa, at the suggestion of my mother, who just had a (large party) birthday celebration at this same establishment. I tried to explain my dissatisfaction and expressed that I would be returning to get a refund. Lisa then told me they don't give refunds, and that they always give the same amount in the styrofoam cup, etc etc. She then proceeded to argue with me about how she made me feel, before hanging up on me! Not once was there an apology, or any empathy shown. Why are you in business if you can't take criticism from customers? So sad! It's actually comical that adults behave this way. Im not mad though because things could be worse.....I could be Lisa, or her husband John, who hung up on my mother before she could even get a complete sentence out. It's pathetic that folks can be so pompous - and with a completely empty restaurant! That should have been an indication of what I was in for when I walked through the door. Bull's is awesome. I'm kind of perplexed at the negative reviews on here. They are so different from my experiences that I wonder if they are truly legitimate. If accurate, Bull's must have really gotten its act together. I've been a few times had really great, consistent experiences. Location Bull's is located in downtown Long Beach a few blocks from the beach. It's across from the park and parking is plentiful. Service On each visit we had a different server. Each one was personable, friendly and made sure all of our needs were addressed. On my most recent visit the server was new, but was incredible patient and helpful when one of my kids transitioned from sweet into full on meltdown mode. In addition to great servers, the owners move from table to table making sure everything is satisfactory. Last trip the owner came out after our order was placed, and then returned the food was delivered to make sure everything was perfect. That level of interaction and service made me feel like I was dining with friends and I always appreciate their hospitality. Food Bull's has impressed me regardless of what I've ordered. A few things stick out including the firecracker shrimp, steaks and prime rib. The firecracker shrimp are Bull's version of the world famous bang bang shrimp served at Bonefish Grill. They are slightly spicy and sweet and will disappear once they arrive at your table. Even my kids, who claim to be from Louisiana, but cant eat spicy food love them. Their regular steak menu includes a ribeye which was surprisingly good. Normally I want my steaks thick cut and theirs is thin. But trust me on this; It is great. The prime rib is apparently a special that is not always available. If it is, order it. The owner explained that his son owns Murky Water's in downtown Gulfport. What he does is have his son smoke the prime rib on his pits and then he offers it as a special at Bull's. It was the smokiest piece of prime rib I have ever had, and it was phenomenal. Prime rib is almost always great, but that smokey flavor sent this version into the stratosphere. If they had leftovers and put it on some french bread I would probably want that as my last meal. The food was great. The fried shrimp were plentiful and tasty. The sweet potato fries come with an amazing sauce. Our server told us it tasted like Thanksgiving! And it did. My mother got the executive burger and she loved it. My uncle got the Ribeye and it was perfectly cooked. The service was great and we never was in need of anything. Ok. We ventured out to try a different place for lunch. One of the places we love was just a short walking distance away, then we saw this place and figured. What the heck? Let's try it. And that's where the bright ideas ended. The exterior is inviting enough. I liked the strings of small led lighting they had on the patio. It was a little bit chilly so we opted to eat inside. We were seated almost immediately to a small side table for 2. My 2 star rating is for the food. Not the service. Our server was actually quite good and friendly. You cant hold the servers responsible for the actions of the kitchen. We started off our order with an appetizer. Fried green tomatoes. Server returned a few minutes later and informed us that they were out of the tomatoes. After a few more minutes we decided on the , Sampler Appetizer. Which allows you to mix and match 3 different appetizers from a list of 6 items. We chose Mexican egg rolls, broccoli balls and fried cheese (mozzarella sticks). A few more minutes went by and our server returned to inform us that they were also out of Mexican eggrolls. So I just doubled the fried cheese. So the sampler turned out to be 6 cheese sticks and 3 broccoli balls for 12.99. We had also put in our lunch order at the same time we ordered the appetizer. We waited 45 mins for chicken parmesan lunch and a burger special that comes with no bun or bread. I think both dishes were a failure. Especially the parmesan. 1. The portion seemed on the small side and it came with 0 sides. The menu just describes it as Chicken Parmesan, no description. What it was, a piece of breaded fried chicken on top of fettuccine alfredo and topped with a dollop of red sauce. Had I known they were putting a fried chicken with red sauce on top of alfredo, I wouldn't have gotten it. Needless to say, I ate the chicken and nothing else. My girlfriend got the burger special that comes with no bub. You get 2 burgers with cheese and salad. Both were pretty bland. I ate 1/2 of her 2nd burger. No flavor. Her dish was 12.00 also. Total check came to 47.99. It really wasn't worth it. The quality was pretty lacking for the pricing. I'm sure we wont be back. This a shame, it's in a wonderful location. read more

I'm writing this review as a courtesy to my grandmother, she frequently went to Bull's apart of a group of her retired coworkers. On the day I'm describing, she ordered the fried shrimp. When she was given the shrimp she could not even bite into it. Trying not to be a problem, she simply asked if she could order something else. The waitress said she could and soon came back saying that the manager would not allow her to order anything else. When she spoke to the manager he simply told her "that's how we cook our food here". I say this all to say, why become a manager if you're only goal is to be rude to the people who keep your restaurant in business. It is safe to say that from that day on my grandmother has never returned due to the rude customer service. To whoever her waitress was I salute her for paying for my grandmother's meal.
