I've been here many times and never been dissatisfied. Tonight was extra special because of the people I was introducing to the place. Plus, we had an amazing server named Tracy. After filling up on Yum Yum bread and salad we had plenty left over. It's been a minute since anyone's actually put our leftovers in to go box for us. Tracy did so and didn't bat an eye. I know she didn't have to so she gets extra credit for that besides the fact that she was just so kind and patient. My friends had not been here before so took a minute to review the menus since there's so many items to choose from. I am certain the next time they are in town they will be back! Indoor, outdoor and bar seating with an ocean view. Elevator access for ease. We had a really great experience with Connor as our server. He was excellent with great suggestions. Everything was really good. Several had the shrimp Poboy and really liked it. I loved the fried shrimp. I had a dish that came with chicken your choice of pan seared, blackened or fried accompanied with shrimp served over pasta with the hollandaise sauce. It was quite spectacular and their gumbo starter was fantastic. We also had the fried pickles which we loved and the fried green tomatoes. Definitely a great spot to try out on the water. Great location. Elevator for those who can't or don't want to workout to earn their meal Super friendly staff. Our very 1st step to experiencing Southern cuisine, getting a great view of the small harbour and mingling with the locals. Predominantly deep fried food & you may need to get used to it. Good seatings & creole sauce, great spices, and nice hospitality. Good selection on cocktails and other beverages. The vibe & view alone make it a must experience when down in the bayout. read more

I go there for the squash casserole! I always call b4 I go just 2 make sure it's on the menu for da day! It's the only decent place to get great food at a reasonable price anywhere on the Mississippi Gulf Coast! As long as the elevator works, I'll be a customer! read more

I went there 3 or 4 times this winter and several times over the last 2 winters. The service is good. The food is good and mostly reasonable. This winter I went for 1 meal of Catfish platter, 1 catfish plate and 1 catfish po-boy. All were good. The platter was a lot of food. But I also sometimes go just for the AWESOME DESSERT, 1 or 2 of them: pecan praline warm bread pudding a la mode. BEST $7 I've ever spent. I always ask for waitress Holly if available. Very congenial and good service. Good views of the water at the window tables. Tables outside too. read more

despite a busy Saturday night the wait time was was minimal. Server was at the table promptly, offered suggestions, got our drink order. Orders taken promptly once we decided we were ready. Food seemed to appear very quickly and out of nowhere, fresh and extremely tasty. Have a nice outdoor seating area which we opted not to take because of the heat and after much debate while we were eating, we decided that was the wrong decision because it looked like it was a really nice Outdoor area with fans overlooking the gulf of America. Prices were reasonable and comparable to other similar establishments on the coast. the experience was really good. Steves Marina is well worth a visit. read more

Beautiful day on the beach and Cruising The Coast 2025. The food was delicious. We had the soup of the day which was corn,shrimp chowder. And we had tuna dip as an appetizer. Yelp! I am back at Steve's with my family this time. We are a party of 5 and it is Dee's birthday. Yay! Our waitress is Jessica. You were simply the best. Thanks girl! Now on to this food. We are so hungry we start out with the Yum Yum bread and salads for everyone. Ty got the seafood platter, Mommy got the fish and shrimp, Joube got red beans and rice with the catfish, Dee got grilled shrimp with buttered pasta on the side. I got the catfish plate with rice and gravy and grilled vegetables. Food was okay today. It wasn't as good as I remembered but my family really enjoyed the ambience being outside near the water. Everything was so good until dusk hit. Then flying termites came from EVERYWHERE. This put a damper on everything. STEVE'S!!! Yall need a screen. Everybody was snatching all that they could to get inside building and not be eaten alive. It was crazy how fast things changed and those little pesky monsters zoomed in to eat us a live. I was trying to stand my ground. The rest of my family was inside relocated at the bar. Terrible experience, but you can't wrestle with mother nature. First off Steve's Marina holds a special place for me. Our rehearsal dinner more than 20 yrs ago was here. So as my son was set to graduate we made reservations. So let's break it down. The graduation took forever but With a call Steve's accommodated us so when we all arrived we weee seated at once. They were busy so I respect that we got drinks promptly and put in starters. Fried green tomatoes and smoked tuna dip. ( my wife really wanted the eggplant fries but I missed that.) Once we got starters there was a delay ( again busy but not a problem) our server was attentive but I did need to prompt for some small items forgotten, not a complaint just realize a busy place with good food can be hectic. Portions on entrees were large and satisfying. We did have some take away. Flavors were great and as described so read the menus. Son had a fish sandwich (huge), daughter had fish tacos ( loved it) others had fried catfish ( classic) wife had shrimp and mushroom pasta ( tasty and huge portion) I had the eggplant pasta with shrimp creole sauce. Prices have increased over time but I still feel they gave good value for money. Atmosphere was relaxed. Given the busy nature it was still easy to hold a conversation at our table. All in all Steve's is still a good choice on the coast. read more

The best gumbo I've ever had ANYWHERE. Delicious shrimp po boy & the biggest order of onion rings with fantastic sauce. Great burger for my non seafood eating Husband. We sat outside, gorgeous bay view. My ONLY complaint was it did take awhile to get our food but so worth it when it came. read more

On a work trip, I detoured all the way down to the Mississippi Coast just to see the ocean & eat some solid seafood. I found Steve's Marina Restaurant on Yelp & made a reservation for myself & my coworker. Turns out...the detour was worth it! The food was perfect. The service was excellent. The view was spectacular. The prices were completely reasonable. I can't say enough good things about the experience we had here. 10/10 would recommend & 12/10 would detour again just for the experience. read more

Great service from the moment we stepped in the door (with our travel weary disheveled looking selfs) everyone was very friendly and attentive, big thank you to our server Brandon! It's the type of place you can dress up or come after a relaxing day at the beach. Food was amazing! Ordered the Three Tail Special, Shrimp Diane which has a more Italian flavor profile as opposed to the creole/cajun flavoring, Grilled chicken with Angel hair butter noodles for one kiddo, and good ol chicken strips and fries for the other kiddo. Yum yum bread is a must! Comes out warm, soft, and topped with butter and Parmesan. First thing - it was over 90 degrees outside and the elevator was out of service. If anyone in your party would have trouble climbing steep concrete steps, I would recommend you call first and make sure the elevator is working. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating, and immediately cleaned off the booth that we requested. Our server couldn't have been more friendly, and made menu recommendations when we asked. We found the prices to be quite high for what was offered - maybe you have to pay for the view. We ordered the fish sandwich, with the recommended Snapper as our fish. $18 seemed a little high for a sandwich and fries. When the sandwich arrived, the fish was hard to cut into and seemed quite tough and not at all flaky. We told our server, and she commented that another customer had just returned the same order. Turns out, the fish was old, and somehow the cook did not realize it, and was cooking it to be served to customers anyway. Our waitress could not have been nicer about it, and got us a replacement with red fish instead. Both our waitress and the hostess were very apologetic. The manager, who was walking around with great importance did not find it necessary to address the situation. The sandwich with redfish was good, but not great. Rather bland, even with the sauce, lettuce, a few pickles and a grocery store tomato slice. I see a lot of five star reviews here. We did not enjoy the atmosphere or the food enough to return. The best things about the restaurant are the hostess and the waitress that helped us. The food is average at best, and overpriced, in my opinion. read more

We told our waiter about the issue and he was quick to take it back to the kitchen to have a new steak made. While we were waiting, multiple managers (or at least what I can only assume were managers) apologized to us about the issue and assured us the new steak would be out soon. Our waiter--accompanied by one of the managers--brought the new steak out, and they waited to make sure it was cooked correctly this time as my dad cut into it. The second steak was an improvement, but it still wasn't very good. My dad didn't want to make a fuss about it and said it was alright. When our check came we were pleasantly surprised to see that they had comped the steak for us. Overall, it was a fairly good experience. The food wasn't terrible, and when there was a mistake the staff was more than happy to correct it. It seems like the people who run the place really do prioritize the guest experience and want people to be happy with the food they're paying for! I'm hoping it's just an unfortunate coincidence that their food just didn't measure up to the price tag this time, but it's difficult to say with only having visited once.
