I kept trying to find the right word to describe our experience at Parrish's, and the only one that truly fits is immaculate. My wife and I were in town celebrating my birthday weekend and were looking for a place that offered both culinary excellence and a great atmosphere--and Parrish's delivered on every level. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by our waiter, Casey, who was attentive, personable, and extremely knowledgeable, offering great recommendations throughout the evening. We started with the beef tips, which melted in your mouth, and the French onion soup that tasted like home. Our Caesar salads were light and perfectly balanced. For our entrées, the Marry Me Chicken pasta was bursting with flavor, and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. We added a lobster tail and the crawfish mac on the side--both excellent choices. Dessert was the chocolate lava cake, which finished the meal perfectly. Every appetizer, entrée, and dessert was consistently delicious, and you could truly taste the care put into each dish. The owner even stopped by to make sure we enjoyed our evening and personally boxed up our food, which was a thoughtful and memorable touch. First of all, our waitress, Saundra, was the most polite, professional and, may I say, beautiful young lady ever. Our table was ready when we walked in, tea and water were delivered in minutes. We ordered Kenny's feast, to share. It's a mega surf and turf meal. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Happy hour afforded my wife a half-price Chardonnay. I highly recommend Parrish's. I paid $26 for burnt, flavorless crab cakes and bland onion rings. How do you muck up crab cakes and onion rings. This was beyond bad. This was my first time there and my last. The young lady who works at the front had good customer service, she was the reason you received 2 stars. Do better. This place is amazing! We went the other night for Veterans Day and the service was phenomenal. We got seated immediately, our server (can't remember her name but younger blonde) was so personable, great with our little one and was so helpful when it came to questions and recommendations. I had requested bearnaise sauce as it's not on their new menu and chef Mikey whipped it up for me quickly and it was the best I've ever had! The steak and lobster was DELICIOUS. The ONLY thing I wasn't fond of was that they cut the lobster in half and it was hard to get out. Would recommend pulling it out before it's served as I got my hands all yucky trying to tear it out of the tail. Everything about Parrish's was phenomenal. We had a great overall experience and the food was wonderful. The service was exceptional from the moment we called to reserve a table. We dined in the Lounge and the views of the water along with the atmosphere of the room were more than we had hoped for. Their bacon wrapped scallops were the perfect appetizer. We absolutely love this place! We had never been before because of the reviews on here and I'm so sad we missed out on years of good food! 1. The View/Atmosphere- absolutely amazing. It is actually breathtaking. We got to watch a storm roll in over the water and we just loved it. 2. The Service- we had Jade as our server and she was amazing! So attentive and sweet. She really went out of her way for us to help keep our baby entertained with orange slices and bread. 3. The Food- we had fried green tomatoes with crab meat topping, crawfish etoufee, and the bread pudding. Everything was perfect. We left so full and happy. 4. I normally don't like to try new restaurants because I'm always disappointed and Parrishes was no exception. Just as I have stated in my earlier reviews I'm a huge supporter of local businesses. Since the recent re-opening of this restaurant we decided to give them a try. After calling first to make sure they were not busy and reservations were not required we arrived to a hostess who kept inquiring about reservations. As soon as we were seated I was disappointed to find utensils placed directly on the table not on placemats or a tablecloth things went downhill from there. After ordering appetizers and our unsweet teas I joke with my partner about no artificial sweeteners offered. Our appetizers arrive, Seafood bread and some French onion soup. The bread was ok but not worth the price however the French onion soup was unlike any we've ever tasted and we are connoisseurs. Very thick like gravy almost like it was made with a roux. Jacques Pepin and Julia Child woulda gagged! My partner ask for coffee and when it arrives it's cold and she ask if they can warm it in the microwave which the waitress exclaimed they didn't have one, the coffee also came to the table with a large spoon not once but twice ( see pic with proper spoon and large spoon). We order our entrees and try to remain upbeat but the hits keep coming. A runner comes to the table to see if we needed anything and I hand her the menus which were never picked up. Now my entree seafood pasta was described on the menu with gulf shrimp, crawfish, mushrooms, linguini topped with lump crabmeat and parmesan. If their were any crayfish they were minuscule and their wasn't any crabmeat ( see pic). My partner mentioned this to our server who told the manager and he brought a scoop full but if you describe all these ingredients on an entree on your menu they better be on it when it arrives on the table. Don't know who trained this restaurant on proper restaurant procedures but Parrishes misse the mark big time. For the price we paid for our meal we should have been wowed but I honestly woulda been happier with a sandwich down the road. Sad that locals don't know any better. Doubtful we will return. read more

The menu offers a range of food items to fit everyone's taste, and all of it comes out of the kitchen tasting like you have you're own personal chef. They also offer one of the most extensive drink offerings I have seen, I don't think you could stump the bartender, he has been making cocktails for over thirty years and his flavored Martinis are incredible. Service was not stellar, server appeared new, but she was attentive checking on us regularly. Food was very slow coming out of the kitchen, took long time to get salad and even longer to get entree. Expected ambiance to be better, very casual, drinks served in plastic cups, more in line with fast casual atmosphere. They have a fresh catch of the day, along with many other seafood options (they also have chicken and burgers for those who don't like fresh seafood). They are about to open up the downstairs patio and may be trying limited food options down there, as well. I had the grilled Speckled Trout with crawfish etouffee and eggplant fries. My friend had the fried shrimp Poboy with French fries and mac n cheese. We also tried the Cat Island Cruiser and the Pomegranate Tini drinks. The pomegranate drink was better ;) our server was very friendly and talked with us about fun stuff to do in the area before we left. Five stars for the service here - the people working here are trying hard to please their customers. However, zero stars for the food - it was terrible. Ordered fish and shrimp tacos on Taco Tuesday ( $5 each on Tuesdays ). These were worth about 50 cents. Look at the pictures to judge for yourself - these are the most sad tacos I've ever seen - everything was limp and the portions were small. There was no remoulade or sour cream dressing except for a disgusting salsa (even though remoulade is a selection you can make while ordering) and a few pieces of limp lettuce. The chips and salsa on the side went straight to the trash as well (unfortunately). read more

Decided to stop for seafood after a day of shopping. Cute, unique restaurant overlooking the beach. Sat at the bar and had a great server. Ordered seafood fondue dip and chamberlain cucumber cocktail - potent but tasty ;)...I love fresh ingredients! Seafood dip was well seasoned but lacking seafood. Several shrimp but I didn't see/taste crawfish. Chips were warm and good. Ordered the fish of the day - grilled grouper topped with crabmeat and creole sauce on the side. Fish was really mild and tasty. The creole sauce was also good. No complaints at all. Ordered the mashed potatoes as the side, and this is where things took a turn. I don't think I've ever seen so much butter in potatoes. It definitely masked the taste of the potatoes and left a buttery coating in my mouth. I told my server, and he attempted to rectify the problem. I believe they added some ingredients, but the overpowering butter was still there along with heavy cream, etc. I appreciate the effort, but I'll never order the potatoes again - way too heavy. 4 stars for ambience. 5 stars for service. 3 stars for food but I'd visit again. read more

We came in while on vacation and we're immediately told by the server we were his first table ever. Things were ok, but they were short staffed. My stuffed flounder was completely raw in the middle and when we let the server know the manager came over and apologized and said it would come off the bill. We then ordered dessert, which the server messed up but he did fix it in the end. Finally, we got the bill on their tablet thing and our server could not pull up our itemized bill. When we came home we saw in our emailed bill that the flounder was still on the bill along with an extra dessert. We attempted to contact management since we were over charged $38, but no one ever called or emailed us back. Will not come back and will not recommend. read more

We sat in the Lounge because it's so nice to sit in a comfy chair and have a great view. The bartender Ryan was great! The food came out quickly and we never wanted for anything! We started with the smoked tuna dip that was AMAZING! I highly recommend ordering it! Happy Hour from 4-7! Domestic beers are $1.50! Honey had the fried seafood platter, which was so much food he brought half of it home. It came with shrimp, scallops, catfish, chicken, a couple fried jalapeños and hand cut fries. I had the build your own with angus steak burger, dressed no mayo, added fried jalapeños on a sourdough bun with hand cut fries. All the food was awesome and we will definitely be back. A wonderful Surprise! The location is like a beacon, saying, "come here!" You will not be disappointed. We stopped in unplanned and it was a treat! We have two small children and the staff was excellent. We arrived right when they opened at 4 PM. Very welcoming, the staff was very personable and made us feel special for the special day. The Owner/Manager is worth the trip just in itself, a very genuine person to interact with. We'd go back just to visit with the people. The view was breathtaking as we watched the sunset over the water. The seagulls, pelicans and occasional dolphins saying hello from the marina. The food... I cannot say enough about the food. As a special treat, we ordered some of their specialty cocktails, the smoked bourbon old fashioned and the chandelier cucumber (gin & cucumber)-very tasty! The appetizers (seafood fondue (more like a dip), crab cakes (VERY fresh crab), and escargots (in cheese and butter withOUT the shells)) were VERY tasty and the right serving amount to enjoy without spoiling dinner. The side salads (Caesar and house) were generously proportioned with very crisp and fresh ingredients. We also ordered the Waygu Tomahawk-prepared PERFECTLY. If you ever want to try one-this is the place. Cream Brûlée and Lava cake dessert with fresh coffee to finish the evening. Yum! The atmosphere is very welcoming and private feeling at the same time. An extremely clean and classy place with a view no matter where you sit. The lounge has these awesome comfy chairs and welcoming classy feel. The restrooms are beautiful and very clean. Six of us ladies, we call ourselves The Sippiin' Sistas, had lunch at Parrish's yesterday. I have been a few times, the others had never been . Everyone was delighted with their dish! And the service was like a 5 star restaurant, but not stuffy. Jawae was our waitress and was very attentive. She knew we were there to relax and enjoy each others company. I have a phrase for them: "come for the food, stay for the view". The view is awesome of the Mississippi sound. Try it, I know it will be enjoyable. Oh, the bar is lovely.
