Wonderful atmosphere for our anniversary dinner. Service was on point, and food was delicious. Loved the chicken & sausage gumbo to start.

Mary Mahoney's is elegant and charming. The restaurant is housed in a historic home with a New Orleans vibe. The large "Old French House" is part of a cluster of buildings connected by narrow walkways and outdoor courtyards. The main courtyard is shaded by a magnificent 2,000-year-old oak tree. Dining here is upscale, with white tablecloths and a formal table setting. The staff is professional and polished. Many of the guests fit the stereotype of well-established Southern couples whose families span generations of doctors and lawyers. I felt like I had stepped into a great John Grisham novel. I started with an espresso martini, and I have to give the bartender a shout-out--it was exceptionally well made. Our party of four shared the crab claw appetizer, and it was phenomenal. Fresh and lightly fried, each claw was a little celebration. For my entrée, I chose the Queen Ixolib (Biloxi spelled backward): a white fish stuffed with shrimp and crabmeat, served with angel-hair pasta and a perfectly broiled tomato. The fish and stuffing were rich and delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and absolutely a "must-try" in Biloxi.

Had to stop in to the historic place and soke up the vibe. Very cool! a small bar but we got lucky and got a place not too long after we walked in. Just browsing the back wall was fun. You could feel the history. Ordered a bowl of the World Famous Gourmet Seafood Gumbo*. Really good. Deep flavors. Bread was awesome to clean the bowl with. Bartender was busy as there were a lot of people stopping in the check this place out and try some food. Definitely worth the stop

I highly recommend Mary Mahoney's, I got a salad and Shrimp Etouffe, it's very tasty and rich and perfect for a rainy spring day!! We were seated in a large private room because we came as tour group and they were very diligent with each course and the drinks. I believe the gentlemen that told us some very funny jokes in his Cajun accent was the owner and he was hilarious. The courtyard is beautiful and almost has a mythical feel to it. Give this place a try at least once!!

We have been meaning to come here for some time. It's a large home type feel place with a beautiful garden at the entrance. Daniel took excellent care of us. The seafood gumbo was filled with shrimp and seafood. The filet was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The French stuffed baked potato was loaded and easy to split. We hate it took so long to make it here but we plan on coming back soon

This charming restaurant is old-school wonderful! Quiet with shabby elegance, like a Biloxi restaurant should be! Rooms are small since it's a converted home with wood floors and windows with rippling original glass panels. White tablecloths complete the charm! Our server was wonderful, professional and personable! She knew the dishes, and we went with her recommendations--crab claws for the app and fish specialties for our mains! Everything was delicious with the accompanying angel hair pasta and whole baked tomato as the side! Order the tomato vinaigrette for the salad--fresh and brightly acidic! Desserts were good--bread pudding and pecan praline ice cream sundae! If you're staying at a casino across the street, this restaurant is worth the short walk!

Dining at Mary Mahoney's felt like stepping into a Southern time capsule--charmingly historic with all the hospitality to match. The restaurant is set in a beautifully preserved old home that radiates character and tradition. It's definitely got that classic Southern vibe, right down to the details. My mother uses a wheelchair, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. After checking in at the hostess stand, we were kindly escorted to the accessible back entrance to avoid the stairs. They seated us near the back door, which was also conveniently close to the restrooms--a thoughtful touch that made our visit even more comfortable. Service was outstanding from start to finish. We began with escargot and sautéed crab claws--both delicious, but the escargot's rich, garlicky sauce was hands-down our favorite for bread-dipping. The gumbo was solid, though not the best we had on this trip. My mom ordered the lamb appetizer as her entrée and was pleasantly surprised to find they offered mint jelly--a nice traditional touch. Still, she had a bit of menu envy after tasting my dish. And for good reason--my crab and shrimp-stuffed fish was the star of the night. Rich, perfectly cooked, and packed with Gulf flavor. We shared a side of potatoes that were buttery, creamy, and downright addictive. In the end, it was my favorite meal of our entire trip. Mary Mahoney's delivered an experience that was both nostalgic and memorable, with food and service that hit the mark.

Business casual is fine. Honestly you could wear shorts and be fine - I have. This is Biloxi not New Orleans.

The bar area is perfect for singles and they will serve a full meal there.

Our son in law had his birthday today and wanted to come here and so we did! We came around 6pm and were seated quickly. The place has a very cool vibe - lovely patio dining - great warm fire feature on the patio - and a warm friendly interior. We got the menus and quite frankly were blown away by the wine and cocktail choices- drinks arrived swiftly. Our waitress- Jasmine - was simply amazing. I can not say enough about her warmth and hospitality. She helped us navigate the choices and made excellent recommendations- she was always present for us and omg the food. The "debris fries" as an appetizer was amazing - as beyond good as expected. I ordered the southern pot roast (over mashed red potatoes) and O M G. First bite and I had to stop and wave - I felt the warmth of the lord come down from above and provide what can only be described and a second coming to deliciousness! I had to pause and look up to the sky and ask our savior why I had spent my whole life never to come to Biloxi and find this place! See here; pot roast up north, and sure there in Texas - is different. It's all good. But this one, great balls of Fire - greatness. I slowly worked my way through - there's a slightly saltiness to it - perhaps from the gravy - but it all works sooooo well together. Honestly for this kid from West (by God) Virginia who's now 59 years old - it's like I found out for the first time how cooking should be done. I could go on for another few paragraphs about the pot roast or I could share how good the kids food was (it was all equally delicious). Let me cut to the chase. Food is beyond expectations! Our server (Jasmine) was amazing. If their other servers are 70% as good as her this is Michelin Star place right there ! Bar was hopping. Tables were happy - place has a great vibe. But the sweet ending - the price - was beyond fair / I expected to pay more for what I got. This place is an honest bargain. Or perhaps this Northerner is new to the South ? I don't know but I am so happy! Thanks to the wait staff, the greeter, the bar, and the management for leading a great experience!!!

The restaurant itself is really beautiful, very lux looking. Thos hostess was friendly, greeted us as we walked in and made us feel like she was excited about our arrival. Our server was Jessica and she had an attendant assisting her, darn it I don't remember his name, but they both were great. Very professional, yet friendly. We had the crab cakes as an appetizer. Very flavorful and I appreciated it wasn't full of filling. They also gave us chicken salad on a spoon. I believe it was chicken salad. He said to start the palate. I ordered the lamb, my husband ordered the steak and lobster. He wasn't aware it was a small fried lobster, but he enjoyed it. It was a big piece of steak, 14oz, so he had to take the rest home. It came with a sauce that he really enjoyed. The lamb was melt in your mouth, tasty and savory. Seasoned just right! We also had the Brussel Sprouts which were really delicious. I asked for a mocktail, but it wasn't really something that wowed me because I look for creativity and it was just plain. Taste good, but plain, especially the presentation. It's been pretty bad the last two years in a row so this year we decided to try the owner's other restaurant! The Rack House looked very nice upon entry (other than some very dusty barrels which happened to be located right next to our table) and they were playing pleasant ambient music at the perfect volume. We were promptly seated and it didn't take long for our server to get drinks started for us! Most of us ordered waters, but my Mom ordered an extra dirty martini that unfortunately came out as being way more alcohol-heavy than she normally likes, but she didn't bring it up to our waiter. We got the sticky ribs as an appetizer, which the whole table agreed were VERY good. Our waiter was very polite and attentive and brought some free rolls and a variety of butters for us to try as well! My mom ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta while my dad ordered a steak. The pasta was good, but wasn't anything super special for the $23 price tag on it, and sadly my dad's steak came out very gristly and overdone. We told our waiter about the issue and he was quick to take it back to the kitchen to have a new steak made. While we were waiting, multiple managers (or at least what I can only assume were managers) apologized to us about the issue and assured us the new steak would be out soon. Our waiter--accompanied by one of the managers--brought the new steak out, and they waited to make sure it was cooked correctly this time as my dad cut into it. The second steak was an improvement, but it still wasn't very good. My dad didn't want to make a fuss about it and said it was alright. When our check came we were pleasantly surprised to see that they had comped the steak for us. Overall, it was a fairly good experience. The food wasn't terrible, and when there was a mistake the staff was more than happy to correct it. It seems like the people who run the place really do prioritize the guest experience and want people to be happy with the food they're paying for! I'm hoping it's just an unfortunate coincidence that their food just didn't measure up to the price tag this time, but it's difficult to say with only having visited once.

Cooked a perfect medium rare--exactly the way a steak like that should be served. Great crust, incredible flavor, tender all the way through. One of those steaks where after the first bite you just stop talking for a second. The baked potato was fantastic too, and they did it right--it came with every topping you could think of, all laid out in a clean, polished, professional way instead of just tossing stuff on a plate and hoping for the best. Our server's name was Joseph, and he was terrific. He was polite, sweet, efficient, funny, and also just a down-to-earth and real person. Thank you, Joseph. We hope to see you again someday once we move to Texas! i know you said you don't get to Texas much, but we might just show up in Mississippi again for a visit! If you want a fine dining treat, and you're in the Biloxi area, come to Mignon's. From white tableclothes to excellent service to relaxed atomsphere to delectable food, you will certainly enjoy.

Every single moment was spot on and made the whole evening an experience. Lighting is low and romantic. Our server, Chris, was amazing and attentive. The food was delicious. They do have a dress code. It's upscale without being stuffy. Our fave! They have a nice wine and cocktail list, plus there are wine bottle specials. A fantastic warm bread was brought out to start. It's an egg and onion loaf made exclusively for Morton's...so yummy! We shared our whole meal, so the portions in the pics are half. We had a wedge salad, lobster bisque, bone in ribeye, and creamed spinach...WOW to every part of our perfectly seasoned meal! Morton's is now on our list of favorite steakhouses. Hope the one where we live delivers as well as this location did!

I attended a business dinner here so I was with a large group seated in a private room. The service was impeccable. Our two servers were quick with helpful suggestions and answered every menu question in great detail. The food was good. We had several appetizers - scallops, crab, seared tuna - and all were fresh and tasty. The salads were huge and our servers had advised us that splitting them was a good option, so we did and they were dead on. My New York Strip was a bit disappointing. The meat quality was good but not great, and it was cooked medium instead of medium rare as ordered. I recommend Morton's for service and ambiance but would likely try another steakhouse in the area before returning if the top priority is a great steak.
