Brooklyn pizza

We love getting pizza from here! Both take-out and dine-in! However, our last 2 pickup pizzas have been a little underwhelming as it seemed slightly underdone. We've had to pop them in our air fryer for a few mins to get them to their usual "doneness". Hopefully it gets better because we love coming here both to dine in for a quick slice or for pick-up/delivery. Regardless on how the cook on the pizza is, the ingredients always seem fresh and delicious!! Dining in, is usually very easy, casual, quick and their space is clean and modern. They're always friendly, too!

The Italiano and Cheese

Came here for the free pizza day. They gave everyone two free slices from a selection of four. The cheese is perfect. I like my crust on the thinner side, so this was perfect for me. Also wasn't too greasy. The garlic in the Italiano was soft but otherwise, that pizza was a bit lacking in flavor.

I love the remodel and slices to go! This is super dangerous to have along Sand Point. I have found myself here more than once in one week because it's one of the only places you can get slices outside of Cap Hill. And let's face it, sometimes I'm lazy and don't want to dress up and go somewhere busy and full of hipsters judging me! I can deal with my cats' sideways glances as they think "again?" In all seriousness, this pizza by the slice option is the best thing to happen to me (not so much my waistline) in terms of restaurants and food options on my route home. They have so many different options, even if there is only cheese sitting in the front display case - just ask! Most recently I had the squash pizza along with the usual cheese. It was interesting and a delight! Can't wait for my next slice - probably tonight!

This location has recently been renovated and and it is a huge upgrade. They now offer slices and plenty of seating to stay and enjoy your meal! The seasonal slices are all so good I wish they offered them year round! there's always a variety of slices, about 4-5 different choices each day. Fast and friendly service!

Cheese pizza. Takeout. One time it wasn't burnt.

Ingredients were super tasty- love the Coro pepperoni and the chanterelle mushrooms pizza. The kale salad was simple yet tasty with Parmesan and pine nuts. The meat balls were great and the chocolate dessert that comes with the SRW was yummy- rich chocolate mousse-like cream in a little cup. The jellyfish brewing lake beer was the perfect pairing with pizza. It was light with a hint of citrus? Would love to see more Coro pepperoni flavors like the lemongrass or orange cardamom or mole. Service was great and very attentive. The ambiance was perfect for a dinner night out. Not too quiet nor loud under dimmed lighting with touches of industrial feel yet quite sophisticated. Would return with family or co workers.

Four of us shared a mixed salad & kale salad, and a special pizza & yukon gold potato pizza. First of all, the salads were good contrasts. The mixed salad had a tart dressing, and the kale salad inc calabrian peppers and a creamy dressing. Both salads were very pleasing. Likewise, the special pizza was well thought out with the meat, cheese and sauce combo. Secondarily, the yukon pizza contained nice, fresh potatoes. Both pizzas had good chars from the wood fired oven. They only have two desserts, and I was surprised to see coconut cream pie that is made on site. The crust was nice and crumbly, and there was a ton of toasted coconut shavings. Despite being full, I could have eaten the whole slice of pie by myself. Regarding the ambiance, its chill here. We didn't need a res @ 6:30 pm on a Fri night. There is a full bar, and most of the patrons were locals. Lanti was a super nice waiter, and very knowledgable about the menu. He and his team were super friendly and on top of things. I look forward to staying at the Westin nearby again. Its walking distance fr SP, and it gives me an excuse to have good pizza and coconut pie again.

Karin has taken care of us countless times, whether it's a quiet Monday or an absolutely packed one due to the events at the town hall across the street, and they have always been warm, patient, and accommodating. I actually celebrated my birthday here because it's one of my favorite spots. I am part of the large group that one of the recent negative reviews is referring to. It happened immediately after the USA FIFA match, and the restaurant was the busiest I've ever seen it. Despite that, Karin still went out of their way to accommodate our requests that normally wouldn't be possible due to the rush, including trying to help with separate tabs when they'd already explained that large groups would likely need to stay on one check. As for things like grabbing water, silverware, plates, or chili flakes...our table had already gotten those before a majority of the group arrived. It's a casual pizzeria, on one of their busiest days ever. Setting and cleaning up the table (especially when seated outside) is not a problem for our group as we do it every week. Which is why it's upsetting that we opened our spot to someone that left such a nasty review. What stood out to me wasn't poor service. It's that despite how overwhelming it must have been to work post-FIFA, Karin was able to take orders, bartend, serve food, and close out checks with professionalism. Sometimes no matter how much effort someone puts in, not everyone leaves happy. The pizza is fantastic! I love showing up every week and trying what new slice they have come up with (in the year that I've been coming here there legit hasn't been a repeat). The atmosphere is great and the staff, especially Karin, have earned our loyalty over the past year. We'll absolutely continue coming back.

The reason my friends and I keep coming back is the main bartender Karin, who's always so adept at managing large parties w folks coming/going, including being honest with us about if there is time to split checks or order as a table, a pretty common thing at a smaller spot. I was here after recent World Cup game and had great service (compared to the review below by Paula P)! I was actually at the table where Paula came and sat and will say that the majority of our table were provided exceptional service, so it was a shock to read that other review of the same experience. The crust has that perfect balance of chewy and crisp, and the toppings are generous without turning the slice into a mess. You can tell they actually care about what goes out of the kitchen. I came in curious and left already planning my next visit. If you're a pizza person, this place belongs on your list - and if you like a little kick, the Jalapeño Face is the one to get.

I don't know if I've ever seen larger pizza than this place. Larger doesn't always equate to…read morebetter, but I just have to start by mentioning the size - it's really something to behold. A slice is literally too long to eat with your hands. You need to eat the first part with a fork and knife before it's even holdable. I have had bigger slices before - but never a full, non-takeout, pizza this big. It's 20 inches in diameter. We had two pizzas - where each one was split into two different kinds of pizza - so four in total. Cool that they allow you to do that, but it does cost more than having just a singular pizza all of the same type. The slices were double cut to make sharing easier. The only one that I liked was the jalapeno face pizza, which managed to achieve a facsimile of a jalapeno popper pretty well. The cream cheese here really stood out; it's not something you see on pizza very often at all, but it really worked here. The pineapple was also awesome. It was missing some heat from the jalapenos though - there could've been a lot more of them. This one was the only pizza that was actually cooked to a good level on the underside, and held its shape pretty well. It had some firmness when biting into it. Unfortunately, the other three half-pizzas were undercooked and floppy. The underside was practically a light brown rather than the dark brown / bordering on black you need to see for this style. If the attempt here is NY-style pizza, it's just a pathetic excuse for the most part. The weight of the toppings just collapsing in the dough is not what you want to see. The indian-style pizza just didn't work - mint chutney, onions, and bell peppers just tastes odd on a pizza. With the truffle pizza, the amount of potatoes was just way too excessive, and there was very little actual truffle flavor. The red sauce pizza didn't have anything wrong with the toppings, but again suffered from the lack of charring I mentioned earlier. You do get a lot of food for the pizzas. I'd say for 5 people - one full pizza and one half pizza should be enough - around 25 per person or so. At least the price is reasonable. Overall, the novelty of the size and odd flavors is cool in theory, but the quality is simply not there. 6/10

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

They used a good slab of coho, nicely seasoned with a aioli. The fries were crunchy and nice. I shared with my husband and it was just right, since we had a bunch of apps at the market. We also got a round of beers. Or in my case I got their hard seltzer, which wasn't too bad, I would probably just get a light beer next time. Service was great outside! There's a specific traffic pattern you're supposed to follow when ordering which I didn't realize. But I could immediately sense the frustration from the employee behind the counter and that attitude kept on through the entire experience. The employee was rushing, didn't give me a chance to ask for the salad before turning their back to put the pizza in the oven. When they called my number and asked for the salad, their response was 'Is that it? Is that all you're going to want?! Then when I asked for the receipt the employee aggressively pulled the receipt before handing it to me. At that point, I didn't want to bother to ask for utensils or napkins or a bag to carry my items. As for the food the pizza was mediocre at best. The salad was better. But sometimes the overall experience can make a decent meal less enjoyable. If you're looking for both good food and a welcoming experience there are better options in the area.
