I booked 2 movers for 3 hours on a Saturday morning through Moving Help on Uhaul. I was moving stuff from a storage pod in Hayward, CA to a moving truck which I drove up to San Francisco. I communicated with them over text message mostly, and was worried that they wouldn't show up, but the day of the came exactly when they said they would. They moved everything from the pod into the moving truck. They don't drive the truck, so I drove it myself and they followed me up to my apartment in San Francisco. Once there, they told me where to park the truck, unloaded the truck, and moved everything into my apartment. They worked very quickly and efficiently and got the entire job done in about 2.5 hours. My furniture/belongings weren't damaged and nothing was scratched in the apartment either. They asked where I wanted things to be put in the apartment. read more

Finally unloaded the last box in our new place and these guys made it happen. Not only did they move all our things out of the old apartment into the moving truck, but they helped empty it all into a storage unit for us. Then, we used them again to load it all back onto another moving truck a week later and into the new apartment. These guys got it done so fast! They were literally running back to the van after dropping off 3-4 boxes! They managed to fit everything we owned safely into a truck/storage unit. These guys are great! We were in a crazy bad situation with uhaul and these guys made it right. Got our whole apartment unloaded in 3 hours and were very careful with our stuff. These guys were amazing, David and Jose. They completed the loading and unloading in 2 hours, which was the time I had paid for initially. If you ask me the job should have taken more than 2 hours, but these guys were very determined and completed the job in the last minute...extremely professional. In fact quite friendly and considerate too. I had to cancel my initial appointment in the last hour and reschedule it 3 hours later the same day, and they were totally cool with it. I used this amazing moving company to load my 26 ft truck I got 3 professional guy's that finish the work in jest 4 hours consider the fact that I lived on the 3d floor no elevator!!! Booked this company through a Uhaul affiliate movinghelpers.com. I requested 2 movers to unload moving truck for 2 hours on May 31 for a move on June 12th. It states that Packhaul will call to confirm a time to show up, which didn't happen. So I called on Monday June 5th to see what is going on, and after looking up my info the man on the phone says "We are overbooked for that day." He told me that the website does this from time to time and that I was going to be called to let me know that they wouldn't be able to provide service. I contact the website through their only method of communication, chat. They inform me that they don't manage the company's scheduling, Packhaul does. So much for planning ahead, at least they called me.... read more

Can't say enough about the two-man crew I got for my house move this past weekend. I got the dream team of Ken and Hensley. Super nice guys, and holly crap moving phenoms. They turned my move into an Olympic event - so incredibly fast (they actually sprinted back to the truck after dropping off an item), and yet so precise - zero breakage - not even a scratch. I used packhaul to move from 360 residences to another one in downtown San jose, and here was my experience: Pros: Quick and easy reservation over the phone, and able to communicate over text as well Brought their tools, dolly, rope, broom and pick up truck Showed up on time and took a lot less time moving than I anticipated Movers were courteous and efficient, well worth a tip. I hired three men for four hours moving a 2BR apt out of two adjacent storage units and into a big house. They had to consolidate the two units into one before traveling 15 minutes drive down the road. They were friendly, easy to talk to, professional, and took about half the time it took two men from a supposedly "five-star" company to move me out of my 2BR and into the two storage units (remarkable even though unloading is a little faster than loading). First good sign: I called, but got their voicemail, so I thought I'd call again later. Within seconds, Shawn called back saying that he missed a call from my number. I booked right away. Ken and Nate helped us at 2 locations. We were a little behind with getting our rental truck, so we moved the appointment to 30 minutes later. They got to the 1st location on time and started right away. Shawn also dropped by to make sure that everything is running smoothly. They were so efficient at loading, arranging, and unloading a 16-ft truck. They helped backup our rental truck. They also let us use their furniture pads, wrapping films, and ropes at no extra charge. They were a bit delayed getting to our 2nd location, but they finished within our original planned time. Booked for 4 hours and they got the job done in less than that and I'm all about being on time. I'd definitely recommend Packhaul. read more

My wife and I hired these guys to move several pieces of heavy furniture out of our condo and into the garage to prepare the unit for sale. They were fantastic! Marcus and Shaun moved all the things we needed quickly, efficiently and carefully, getting everything down two flights of stairs without a hitch. The work they accomplished in a half hour would have taken my wife and I all day to do. Definitely worth the money. About a month later we hired the same outfit to help us load a 16 foot pod. Marcus and Brandon loaded the container utilizing every foot, working carefully and quickly on a blistering hot day. They took things not only from the ground level garage but also from a storage room two floors up. Again, definitely worth the money. These guys are fast, efficient and polite too. My neighbor was moving out of state and hired this company for her move. I was outside watering when they showed up and decided to have a seat and watch them as I myself will be moving next month and was interested to see how they work. I was in shock! I could not believe how fast the move started. One fellow who I later found out name is Chris was amazing. I seen him carry box after box, mattresses, sofa and still took the time to help out his partner stack and arrange items in the truck. He is very careful loading items into the truck making sure not to damage or scratch anything. The whole 3 bedroom was done in less then 3 hours! Unbelievable work. Shawn and Shane were great helping with the move! Not only were they flexible in scheduling (due to a Uhaul snafu), but you could really tell they genuinely enjoyed helping people get situated in their new homes, and were very personable and professional through the whole move. They also leveraged their position with the Uhaul location to try and help with that issue, even though it was definitely not their responsibility. We booked them last minute, in the middle of the night, through movinghelp.com and I woke up to a text from Frank, confirming our appointment. Not only were these guys very reasonably priced, they were on time, they worked quickly and were careful with our things. I can't say enough good things about everyone involved. The two guys that packed my U-haul were very nice. It wasn't until we tried to unpack that we discovered they did terrible job! I was moving into a storage unit and a small room at my friend's house, and separated everything by location to make unpacking easier. I explained we were going to the house first and I need those things put in last. I also neatly labeled all of the boxes, including marking fragile on boxes containing delicate items and had arrows pointing up on all boxes. Not only did they mix all of my belongings together, which made it very difficult while unloading on tight schedule, but they had fragile boxes on the bottom and several boxes were packed on their side or upside down. My standing cosmetic mirror that lights up on both sides was carefully packed in my suitcase with clothes around it, and still broke due their carelessness! There were chards of the mirror all over the rest of my clothes. I have several boxes of keepsakes, picture frames, and vases that are still in storage, but at this rate, I'm scared to see what else broke! I have a Tempurpedic bed and explained that it really needed to be laid flat if possible. There was plenty of room in the 15' truck but it ended up on its side tied up. The adjustable frame was damaged in moving since they picked it up by the flexible sides rather than metal frame! I also don't understand why they packed everything up to the ceiling, rather than using the full length? Again, they were nice, but I'm upset that things broke. I would not use them for loading/packing. read more
