This is a long overdue review for Jack :) The manager Jack at this location is awesome! When I first rent the unit, Jack showed me around the storage, gave me the code and even offered lock option for the unit. On the day of the move in, I was confused as to how the security system worked and the code for some reason did not work. I called in to ask and Jack was able to quickly fix the code issue as well as providing a thorough explanations as to how the gates work & how to make sure my unit was secure. Very responsible, kind and patient, I am glad to have someone like him managing the facility. Would highly recommend! The price for the unit was extremely reasonable as well compare to other storage facilities in San Jose. read more

Unfortunately, this facility was acquired by StoragePro and things have gone downhill quickly. They have a clothes moth infestation that they can't seem to get under control and the floors just keep getting dirtier and dirtier. I asked the very nice new manager when the company cleans and she apologized and said that she does the cleaning when she's not busy in the office! Insane. Prices are up and service level is down - yuck. read more

Bad management, high turn around in the company, employees are expected to do 50 different tasks while also being their personal security, janitor, errand runner, maintenance. read more

The new manager Jack is just awesome. He was determined to make sure I wasn't disappointed, and went above and beyond to help me out when I lost the key to my unit on moving day. I was very impressed with the level of service I received. You will be well taken care of if you choose to rent a storage space at this facility. Jacks got your back! read more

This company just changed owners and I mmediately noticed that the monthly rate with new company was almost $100 less than what I was paying plus their insurance went up for the same coverage. I called and emailed them to request the rate as advertised and after a month this is what they said....read it carefully, they basically said NO unless I move my stuff to another unit of the same size! WHY?????????? Hello Lisa, I heard back today, and we will not be able to adjust the current rental rates. If you would like the rate listed on the website, you can transfer into an available unit. I currently have one available at your same size on the second floor. Thank you, Lincoln Ave Self Storage A: 910 Lincoln Ave San Jose, CA 95126 storagepromanagement.com read more

I inherited my storage unit for work from my predecessor. When I mapped it out from my house I wasn't exactly thrilled with its proximity. I went to go check it out with the intention of seeing how much I would have to move, but after meeting Doug, I knew I was staying. Doug was extremely helpful with transitioning the storage unit over to me. He made the process as seamless as possible and was able to get everything done when it was convenient for me. Every time I've seen or talked to Doug he has been extremely nice and helpful. The facility is clean and well kept, I feel safe when I am there, and coming and going is as easy as can be. read more

I just emptied two 10x10 storage units on the 2nd floor to complete my move to Bakersfield. I started renting my units in December of 2018, so have been a customer for almost 5 years. When I researched storage units at the time, I selected Lincoln Ave Self Storage based on reviews, seeing the place in person and speaking with Doug. I am SO glad I chose this place. My friends have had lousy experiences with other Public Storage places (not to mention any names) including break ins, refusal to share videos with police, rude and insolent personnel. My experience at Lincoln has been nothing but good. The elevators always work, the heavy duty carts are maintained and always available, I've never heard of any security issues and Doug has been a pleasure to work with. I HIGHLY recommend this storage facility!!!! read more

Doug really helped me when I was in a tight spot when I was leaving a bad situation. Professional and kind, Doug really put me at ease as I was in a stressful spot. Building is clean and well maintained. When I needed to cancel my unit because I moved and had space for my stuff, Doug made the process very easy and even remembered me! If you are looking for affordable storage solution, definitely recommend this place. read more

TWO THUMBS WAY UP - for the dynamic duo that runs this facility! BOTH are amazing. Doug, the go-above-and-beyond leader is a genuine person who enjoys providing excellent, efficient, and highly effective service. His side-kick is also super nice and accommodating. ...Sorry it's taken me so long to finally write a well-deserved review for you guys, it was all that storage I had to sort through. :) I will always remember your kindness, during a pretty tough time. MANY thanks! read more

Doug is the best! During the weird times of Covid we had to empty our house with my dad in another country and myself here in San Jose. Doug was friendly, communicative, super helpful, and made the process of storing my dad's things as painless as possible. The facility is clean, easily accessible, secure, and I did not have to worry once about our stuff over the years that we had our unit. Great experience and I'll definitely be using Lincoln Ave Self Storage again if the need arises. read more

Lincoln Ave Self Storage - Self Storage Near Me - San Jose, California

While Lincoln Ave Self Storage gets a solid 5-stars, I have to give the manager, Doug, 5-stars as well, this is by far the best run storage facility I have used in over 30 years of storage. I've been with Lincoln Ave. for over 1 1/2 years--the highlights for those who are thinking about storing here: --SECURITY. They seem to have multiple-level security, and checkpoints, so they always know who is in the building or least whose code is being used. If you dont use your code to get in, alarms will sound when your until door is raised. The neighborhood is sketchy, I won't lie, but this facility seems to have a lot of secure features in place and I've never had an issue at all. --Clean. I mean REALLY clean. You can tell management cares about this business. The landscaping is maintained. The corridors are swept. There are vermin traps on every "block". You never know what people are storing and when you have dozens or hundreds of units, the potential for someone bringing in a rat-trap hoard are pretty high. Vermin traps ensure that any 'escapees' are dealt with before they get to your unit. There is no odor of decomposition, which tells me that the traps are cleaned out frequently and/or there isn't an ongoing problem. Honestly folks, this is something you want to see when shopping for storage facilities. --Clean bathroom. There is a customer bathroom on the first floor. It is very clean. No crusty gunk in the corners. It actually appears quite sanitary. Not something I've encountered often in my storage career. --Annual rate increases. I was given plenty of notice when the rate changed. I was told when I signed the contract that there are annual rate changes, so I expected it. It was about 5% if I remember correctly, and I rate that as a fair price, considering other facilities that know you'll pay big $$$ to not have to remove your junk if the rate increase is too much. --Billing. I set it up so they tapped my bank account on the first of the month. No problems at all. First of the month, like clockwork. I had a little glitch the first month because my credit card was lost and I forgot to alert the facility, Doug immediately called me, let me know there was an issue and I rectified it immediately and he was very understanding and no late charges. --Management. This is where Lincoln Ave shines. The manager is Doug R. He is phenomenal. Totally old school businessman. His word is his bond. He reminds me of all the folks I grew up with in the City--a handshake and a smile and you know you're going to be well taken care of. That's how business ought to be done. Even though they do all the same contracts as everyone else, there is something about Doug's approach that makes you believe he is a man of his word and he'll take care of you as if you're a family member. I just moved out of Lincoln Ave Storage and he couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating. Would I work with Lincoln Ave again? In a heartbeat. Would I recommend them to friends and family? I have. If you need a safe, secure and clean storage facility, this is the one. If you have problems, I guarantee Doug will do what's necessary to make it right. This is how businesses should be run. Open communication and the willingness to work together. read more

I needed storage because I was moving, and wouldn't be renting a storage space for too long. Doug was very accommodating and he tried his best to help me for the short time I would be renting. He was very kind, and the place was secure/safe and clean. Thank you Doug for all your help! read more

Doug was very helpful and very pleasant to work with. The storage unit is very clean and safe. If I ever need another storage in the area I will definitely come back here. read more

Francine Doug suggested that I not take an outside storage unit but rather one just inside the door. Less dust, and I could drive up to the end of the facility and go inside. It was great advice, I had easy access and didn't have to worry about the weather. He was helpful and easy to work with. read more

We used Lincoln Self Storage for 8 months to store a good chunk of our worldly possessions while we were in the process of selling our old house/searching for our new house. The staff and service at Lincoln are friendly and fantastic. Their prices and terms were completely transparent - no hidden charges. We especially loved the fact that the storage units are all inside, that there is a secure gate that requires a code, and that there are standard operating hours (vs 24/7) - which we think is best overall for safety/security. We would 100% recommend Lincoln Self Storage for anyone searching for a trustworthy and professional storage service. read more

Doug runs the storage unit and was SO GREAT! He was so helpful and is very friendly. I've used other storage units in the past and so far, the 4 months I've been using the storage unit, I have had no complaints and know that my belongings are secure. Definitely would recommend this storage unit! read more

I've never reviewed a business before, but I couldn't let my complete satisfaction with the facility and management at Lincoln Ave Self Storage be kept to myself. The facility is located about 1 min from highway access and is fully secured and spotless. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature inside, even on some of the hottest days of summer. I saw zero evidence of, nor had any issues with rodents in my 7 months there. Doug, is a wonderful guy and a really considerate person. He always greeted me by name when I came around, and made me feel welcome from day one. It is always a pleasure to give real people my business, and these people are the realest. read more

Nobody wants to have to pay hard-earned money to store their junk, but if you have to do it, go with Lincoln Avenue Self Storage. Seriously, these folks are the nicest people in the business. Every time I interacted with them, whether it was Doug, the owner, or one of the employees, I was struck by how pleasant and down-to-earth they were -- a genuine small-town feel in a big city. I had a large (10' x 10') storage locker there for over ten years, and while it cost me a pretty penny to store my stuff, I had no choice until I bought a new, larger house in Southern California. Now that I've finally cleared all my stuff out, I have to say -- and this will sound really funny -- I'm sad because I'm going to miss them! The facility itself is very clean and secure, with a coded entry gate and a compact layout that makes getting to and from your locker easy, unlike some facilities where you have to walk miles to get from one end to the other. Not once did I feel unsafe when visiting the facility. They have convenient flat carts to use when moving your stuff between your locker and your car. I also like the fact that I'm not paying for the expensive television advertising of their competitor, Casa de Mini Storage, which happens to be right around the corner from me. I definitely made the right choice by going with Lincoln Avenue. Anyway, as if it's not clear enough, I unequivocally recommend Lincoln Avenue Self Storage. They are simply the best. read more

Doug is the best Manager in the world. A very good human being. He's always going the extra mile, going over and beyond. I visited and researched other storages - one in particular had a really mean manager. If you are looking for a great storage experience the first time, store with Doug. read more

I've been a customer at Lincoln Av Storage for 18mths, and I use the term "customer" loosely. In the modern "customer centric" world, as great as the service may have been there's an element of insincerity. Not the case at this establishment. Doug is the type of old-school operator who understands the importance of connecting with the people that pay him. He always picks up the phone - a joke or two will be had at my expense forgetting the access code once again... but he gets it done. Recently I asked Doug if he had a larger storage unit available, unfortunately he didn't. He went to the trouble of connecting me with another self storage company and they took care of my needs. I parted ways with Doug & said I'd write a scathing review, so here it is. Cheers Doug, keep on doing your thing - it works. read more

You're looking at the proud owner of a 5x10 (dimensions are definitely not exact) storage unit at Lincoln Ave Self Storage. She. Is. A. Beaut. I might start carrying pics in my wallet, I'm that proud. Doug and his team were super helpful in getting me all set up and signed up and on my way. We needed a good storage that was close to the church we were using and found Lincoln storage. They were very helpful and assisted us quickly when we needed to get a space ASAP. Great business and customer service. I recommend Lincoln Storage to anyone. read more

When my Dad died in 2021, he left me his home in San Jose, and I needed a storage unit to place items until we could move them out to Florida. Lincoln Ave Self Storage was nearby, and Doug was incredibly helpful in getting us set up in the short window of time we had. We always felt safe and completely secure when loading, unloading, and making trips to the storage facility. It's clean, quiet, well-lit, and easily accessible, with clean bathrooms (a definite plus!) For the size unit we secured, pricing was more than fair, and we never worried about the security of our belongings, which is absolutely crucial when living cross-country. I wholeheartedly recommend this company. Ask for Doug - he's the best! read more

I had the best experience at Lincoln Ave Storage and can't recommend them enough. Doug helped me when I decided to downsize after 1 month and let me leave anything I didn't need in the old storage. He had someone pick it up which helped me so much so I didn't have to lug loads to goodwill etc. I stayed for over 2 years and the place is very well kept. The hours are 7 - 7 everyday so it's a good window to access your belongings. When I was ready to leave Doug said I could have prorated rent if I needed more time and extended my hours so I could push and get it done the weekend I was ready to be out. He again said I could leave anything I didn't need and I left one heavy item which was appreciated. Great communication when needed. read more
