Run away from this place! The rats roam freely from unit to unit because there's nothing to stop them. When you sign your lease they don't tell you the walls have open spaces at the top. I went on vacation and when I came back I couldn't believe my eyes. They had us move out so they could install screens but now they refuse to install screens. We've suffered a great financial business loss and they insist they're not responsible. I believe they are because they never disclosed the fact there's an open space between all the units allowing rodents to migrate freely. The management company staff is nice, but the owners only care about profit. Before you rent here, you might want to check out Hunta Disease that's transferable from rats which can be fatal. It has a mortality rate of 38%. read more

Pro's: Our things were kept safe and dry. Con's: Rat infestation and zero accountability taken. New ownership group took over three weeks before we ended our 11-month rental. We had no food in our unit, but rats urinated and defecated on our king box springs, our daugher's restoration hardware chair, our couch cushions, tempurpedic mattress top, and probably more to be found. We had our mattresses in protective covers, but we did not expect for rats to infest our storage unit so we did not cover everything. We would think that "rat free storage" would be an assumed promise when paying what we did for our unit. If we would have been accepting of animals damaging our property, we would have just left our belongings in our backyard while we rebuilt our home and saved a lot of money. We have two babies and now more work to do to make sure our belongings are sanitary before coming into our home. Gross and disappointing. read more

I really like the way this place is run, from the very beginning with the office team when I called to set up my appointment to view the storage unit to when I arrived on site. The gentleman I apologize I forgot his name he is the manager and lives there. He is Always kind and helpful, the way he has the place so clean is what sealed the deal for me. This is a very well secured self storage facility, very clean and I have not experienced any issues with pests, rodents or ants in the one year I have been using it. The location is very convenient for me. Easy access to a couple of freeways. The manager, Dennis Strickland, is very helpful and a gentleman, And on top of things there, runs the place very well. Thanks to Valerie K's recommendation, I called Security First. The woman on the phone was very friendly and professional. Going in to set up the rental was easy and we had no problems. They can do auto bill and just charge your credit card every month, which is much easier than remembering to send a check every month. The place is very well maintained, clean and I've had no problems at all. They're open until 9 pm on weeknights too, which is good. I'm very happy with Security First. read more

Once again another nightmare interaction with security first!!!! I sincerely wish the owner would read these reviews! His new management company is just awful! I'm tying to pay my bill on line and it's been nothing but a mess and a nightmare. Not to mention I was recently there and and yes, there is not only a rat infestation (you can smell it as soon as you walk in there) problem, but moths as well. It has completely ruined my wool coat and I had to throw it away. Dirt and dust is constantly getting in my unit because they leave doors open. The new office staff is the nastiest most unprofessional people we have ever dealt with. I fully regret referring people to move in there. They are also constantly raising prices and fees. I have a business and used to be able to access any time of day. That access was taken away. Get rid of this ridiculous management company and their impersonal corporate ways and bring back the old mom and pop shop it used to be. This facility is turning into nothing but yet another corporate disgusting pig. We will be moving out of there ASAP! I will add that we have been loyal customers for over 7years. Keep treating your clients like poo and they WILL move out. And I pray they put you out of business. This place used to be the best!!!! Now it's the freaking worst. They have changed management teams yet again and this time it's worse than ever!!!! They can't seem to get anything right at all. Got an amazing deal on a unit for my mother. Its so clean and safe! I couldnt believe how nice and easy it was when I went over to get the unit. The man working the desk was nice and very knowledgeable when he gave us the tour. Its easy to get in and out. Carts are there for customers to use. read more

the only thing hindering me from giving the 5-star rating is that it isn't 24/7 storage unit access. but with the provided security + all, it's understandable that access is limited to 6am-9pm everyday. office hours are pretty much regular business hours. we are renting a 10x15 ground floor storage unit + it's been a lifesaver to have this much space to put our belongings in at a very reasonable price! they were doing a 3-month special pricing this summer + so we were really lucky to get our monthly rate when we did. they have very flexible billing options: pay online, pay in person (check, cash or card), or mail check. they're very good about sending you an invoice to remind you that you're unit rent is due. CAVEAT: bring your own lock or buy from them during office hours. the facility itself does not provide insurance but they have a company they can recommend or have your home/renter's insurance company cover your stuff while in their units. read more

This is a great place. The lady we spoke with, Crystal, was professional, friendly and courteous. The facility itself was clean, well maintained and reasonably priced. We signed up for a pay-6-months-rent-upfront-and-get-one-month-free plan. As it turned out, our plans changed and we ended up vacating the unit nearly 1.5 months before the time we paid for was up. Even though it was not a requirement in the contract, Crystal refunded us the money for the unused time without us even asking for it. If only more businesses were run this way! Two thumbs up all the way for Security First, all the way from courteous staff to clean facilities to top notch customer service. Called them 9am to see availability and rates. I had to call them back after four hours of no return phone call after leaving voice mail as instructed. Got through on call back. After determine they had nothing available, woman on other end simply hung up. I don't like doing business with people like that. read more
