Great value, fresh seafood, good mix of different menu items, we come here all the time!

Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday recently! It looks like they have quite a few locations but the Tustin/Irvine one is pretty new. Food: 3.75/5* They have quite an expansive menu of American/Asian fusion options. We ordered a variety of food including: sushi bowl, sashimi bowl, ribs/steak with kimchi fried rice, miso cod, grilled salmon, and pupu platter. The portions are huge and each plate could probably be shared with at least 2 people. The miso cod and pupu platter were probably our favorites. The sashimi was fresh and yummy but the rice was just ok (a bit gingery). BBQ ribs were a bit too sweet but the steak was nice. Kimchi fried rice could be passed on (sadly). Miso cod was cooked perfectly. Guacapoke (part of the platter) was also great. Drinks: 4* We only tried the non-alcoholic watermelon lemonade and the Thai Iced Tea. Watermelon drink was refreshing and came with a slice of watermelon which is nice but the Thai tea was a bit on the sweet side for my preference. Their drink menu is extensive for both alcoholic (and non) so it seems like there is probably something for everyone. Ambiance: 5* Clean and spacious environment indoor and outdoor. The vibes in here are chill and the atmosphere is bright. Bathrooms were clean. Service: 5* All of our servers were kind and they even brought my sister a dessert brownie with ice cream and shaved coconuts on the house! Price: 3.5* Each dish is easily about $25-40 per person which is pretty steep for a somewhat casual lunch. That being said, the portions are generous and the seafood was fresh. Non-alcoholic drinks are around $5 which is reasonable read more

Was looking forward to the seafood here but it turned out to be the worst part of our meal. Will give 5/5 STARS to our server ALYSSA and the restaurant ambience. Great place for a date or a meal with friends/family. My kid was immediately presented with a coloring sheet and crayons and Alyssa made sure to say hi during every round by our table. Coming to the food: Pupu platter : the fried shrimp was the best part of the platter. Ribs were ok. Then there was poke on guacamole with chips and poke on crispy black rice. I couldn't tell if I was chewing on poke or chopped up tomatoes. It was not fresh and obviously heavily sauced up. Entrees : you would expect a good fat content on the sea bass but it was overcooked, chewy and dry. I couldn't tell the yellowtail from a tilapia filet. Not worth returning to for the fish. The kimchi fried rice was meh and the black rice was deliciously spiced but terribly undercooked and still hard. The HIGHLIGHT of our meal surprisingly were the veggies we had picked for our entrees per Alyssa's recommendation. Garlic fried green beans were delicious and at par with the one in Din Tai Fung. The brussel sprouts were hands down the best I have ever eaten! All in all not a fish place but great veggies, servers and ambience! read more

Hawaiian Food was great! Service was nice and friendly! A lot of parking space. The ambiance is okay with good spacing between tables. The only draw back for me, if you are a sport fan and you went there to watch a game with friends... good luck on getting a seat right in front of the only TV by the bar. Also, the view on the TV is blocked on both sides by the shelves for the liquors. Does it makes sense??. read more

We visited the new restaurant to see how good it is, but I was so disappointed at food quality and service. The location has a bad history of restaurant business in a few decades, and the latest one failed was a similar seafood restaurant chain. Maybe I shouldn't expect good as City of Irvine has no decent 4 star restaurants as people here don't expect enjoyable food experience. As a starter I tested poke sampler, which was really band and smelled fishy that means old. Fish taco was $8 but it worths $2-3 as poorly prepared. One of plates that could be okay was stripe bass over Korean fried rice. Yellow tail was too dry, which shouldn't be like that. The service? I would say most of servers, waitresses and waiters are not trained good enough. We requested a small additional food, but never delivered until I contacted to the manager, who immediately brought the one we needed. Ambience is just cheap like Dennys. The down grade from the previously located Bone Fish is obvious. Prices are low but again no quality. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. read more

Bri T was such a pleasant bartender. She is fast and efficient. And made me the best Mai Tai! Can't wait to come back and ask for her!

The food was delicious and came out fast! I got the mixed catch and it was like the other pictures posted (huge!). You can actually taste the coconut in the coconut fried shrimp and the calamari was not too hard/soft. My friend got the sea bass and the fish was very tender and cooked perfectly! Her sides of Brussels were very flavorful as well. Only downside was that it hard to flag down our waiter. read more

Party of 5 on a weekend evening. Very few patrons were dining - lots of empty tables. Decor and ambience are bright and inviting and seating was comfortable. Male server was friendly, but he kept speaking way too fast. We had to ask him to repeat his menu information a couple of times. Food was okay. Two in our party ordered the exact same Hawaiian platters, but the poke in one was spicy for some reason, whereas the other platter's poke was not. Not worth the $32 cost. Yellowtail tacos were delicious, but came with an anemic portion of black beans and fries. Daily swordfish special was disappointing. The filet looked and tasted rubbery and dry. There was no juice when my fork pierced the filet. This plate also had a tiny amount of mashed potatoes. Definitely not worth the $32-35 market price. As a seafood fan, I frequent eateries that have a wide range in prices, and some local fish taco places are just as delicious as high-end seafood dinner restaurants. But overall at Pacific Catch, I was disappointed with the value I received for subpar taste and small portions for the almost $200 check for 5 people for food and only waters. read more

We like the atmosphere, the menu and the food, plus the service is great! Have been back a few times and their food is very consistent.

Bri T. gave me the BEST experience!! Drinks were delicious and service was the best i've had at this restaurant. She's told me she's new to the team but she's killing it!! 10/10 experience will be back specially for her and the drinks she makes. read more

This is my second time to the newly opened Pacific Catch Restaurant in the Tustin Marketplace, and I just love this restaurant! The ambiance is fresh and inviting, the menu is wonderful, and the food is out of this world! My husband & I went for dinner and had a bunch of appetizers for dinner. I had a specialty cocktail....a guava margarita, I believe, and it was good! I returned again this week with a girlfriend, and we had a great lunch. I had a delicious salad - an Asian Chimichurri Salad with Grilled Kampachi. It was unreal. I didn't know what Kampachi was, but it is a fabulous fish. My friend got a salmon entree with 2 sides. It was so generous, she ate half and took half home for dinner. Our visit was enhanced by the most delightful waiter- Kristy! She is a ray of sunshine and so efficient and kind. A huge asset for Pacific Catch. Go eat there....you'll be very happy you did!! read more

What amazing quality and value!!! Service is adequate. House salad is usually the least interesting at most restaurants. This place is different. Had house salad, trio samplers, and lobster tail. Casual vibes but with high end quality food! This restaurant really impresses me as someone who have sampled many best restaurants in the world. read more

Uhmmm this place is so fun! Absolutely fantastic quality fish and delicious guacamole. I had the Korean ribs that everyone was posting about on my foodie page and it did not disappoint. Service was great. Had a super handsome food runner named Zac who kinda stole the show and had me and my friends in stitches by our last encounter. So fun. Thank you! read more

I ordered the Wasabi Poke bowl with greens and added beef. The beef was delicious and had the perfect char. The poke and greens were very fresh. I would give it 5 Stars. My wife got the Kanapachi yellow tail, which sadly was dry and overcooked. Overcooked fish is commonplace at many restaurants, but I expect better from a seafood restaurant. This dish gets 3 Stars. read more

The food exceeded my expectations and then some! Everything was fresh and beautifully plated. The poke bowl was the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot! They use real shredded crab meat instead of imitation crab and that's what made it so tasty and unique. Service was excellent as well. Will definitely be back! read more

This place was very crowded when we arrived and service was a little slow at first but things picked up and our waitress was amazing! Inside felt somewhat like a food court so we moved outside and the weather was great. The food was pretty good, everyone was happy with their food. The mashed potatoes were too salty but otherwise I loved my sashimi bowl. The dessert was the best! Highly recommend the dulce de leche caramel one. The malasada was too sweet though, not bad either way! Everyone got a round of teas and it was nice to just hang out after dinner. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Food was ok, 4 out of 5 of our sticky ribs were dry. Spicy tuna roll had too much spicy mayo on it. It's all you tasted. We also got Serrano tuna poke (bland tasting) and the shrimp ceviche which was just average. They were busy on a Labor Day holiday so was a bit hard to get the server's attention. She apologized for the wait but it was clear she just had to handle a lot of tables. I'd return to give the main menu another shot but you might have better options at some quick service fish restaurants around the area! read more

Phil also made some delicious craft cocktails for us. Will definitely be back. read more

Tl;dr good not great - drinks were very sweet, food was decent. Wagyu burger was good. Just moved to Irvine and tried this place out. Got the clam chowder, grilled yellow tail & shrimp tacos, and the Wagyu burger. For our drinks we got Spicy Pacific, Blood Orange margarita, tiki old fashioned, and mai tai Clam chowder was a good start and at first we thought the whole clams in there was cool but as we ate we realized the clams were not very cleaned and we kept biting into shells and sand. Grilled shrimp tacos and yellowtail tacos were ok. Wagyu burger was the best thing we ordered - was actually p good compared to everything else. Overall the food was overall very salty. All the drinks were way too sweet. I think that's what turned us off the most. Service was good, nothing spectacular but nothing bad either. Overall kind of underwhelmed given the other good reviews. Probably wouldn't come back except for the burger read more

I love the ambiance of the restaurant. We fell in love with the beach house vibe. Our server greeted us warmly and was quick and responsive. The food tasted ok. It was nothing special. In fact, I expected more varieties of fish, and a broader selection of seafood in general. I like that everything is "healthy" but is the menu attractive enough for me to want to come back? Not really. I will say, the pleasant ambiance and the convenience of this location does make for a good meeting spot. read more

the food here is 5 stars, the miso black cod is wayyyy better than the one at nobu. It comes with shiitake rice and green beans, pairs so well & appropriately portioned. The calamari here is also amazing, lightly battered, fresh and so delicious. Comparable to the one at macaroni republic in LA. Also got the sashimi bowl with crab salad, it was just okay but will note the fish and crab was very fresh as well as the salad accompanied. Service is also great. + they have lots of great mixed drinks. I got the guavarita and it was really good. Will def return!! Pleasant yelp find. read more

Super cute place. They allow pets on the patio side. There is both indoor and outdoor seating which is always a plus. We got the Pupu Platter Summer for our party of 6, a Thai tea, an island mule, fish and chips, and the salmon lover. The servers were super helpful and attentive. read more

Came here with the kids on Monday. Ordered the fish and chips, seabass, wagyu cheese burger, Baja fish tacos and the Korean BBQ bowl with steak and ribs. Ok the food was hit or miss. The seabass, fish and chips and the Baja tacos were just ok. We expected the fish to be better. The fish and chips and Baja tacos were dry and the fish was not moist. The seabass was not great. Slightly over cooked and not moist and juicy. The wagyu cheeseburger and the Korean BBQ bowl were better like around 4/5. The burger and the steak and ribs from the Korean BBQ bowl was flavorful, tender and cooked to perfection. Overall a 3/5. The service was attentive, friendly and on point. read more

Very nice place. We were seated right away and we did not wait long for the food to arrive. I had the Double Rainbow Bowl and it was really healthy and savory! My only complaint is I don't care for ginger at all and there was a big chunk of it in my meal. (In retrospect, I could have read the menu more carefully and ordered it without ginger) We will definitely come back next time we are in the area! read more

So disappointed, nothing special. The Steelhead fish was dry and cold. There was a small portion of mashed potatoes that were also cold. The house salad had mushrooms and was drenched in house dressing. The coconut shrimp sampler was good. Our server Nick was very attentive and nice. He was very apologetic with our dissatisfaction and we were given a free dessert. We think that the manager should have come and apologize and not left it to the waiter to handle the situation. It was very loud and sounded like a cafeteria. There are simple chairs and small plain tables, nothing special. read more

We sat on the patio and received the best service. The food was excellent with huge portions. The chips we perfect for the ceviche, a must starter for us. Even though the patio is right next to Jamboree it wasn't too loud at all. They even put on the Lakers game for me! We enjoyed several cocktails and my fav was the caramelized colada. Can't wait for the next happy hour. Great new spot in the Market Place! read more

Service was awesome! The hostesses at the front were friendly and accommodating. I had a baby in a stroller and they tried to find me a table to accommodate the stroller before I even asked! Our waitress Alyssa did such a great job! She was friendly, attentive and had good recommendations when I asked. She checked on me throughout the meal to see if I needed anything-- great service! I was lucky enough to attend their pre-opening session for lunch. The food is well portioned and flavors were just right- not overly or under seasoned. I tried the original ahi poke starter. I liked how fresh the poke tasted and I like how lightly seasoned it was (it's fresh if it's lightly seasoned, only old fish is heavily seasoned to mask the fishy taste). I also tried the taco platter- one grilled shrimp and one cod taco. The chili-lime fries were delicious and goes well with the aioli sauce! Lastly, I tried the dulce de leche rolls which was well balanced- not overly sweet! Bummed that the malasadas were sold out. Will need to come back and try that and other things on their menu! Because this was a preview, they discounted the meal and then donated the remaining to The Surfrider Foundation! Gotta love a restaurant that clearly cares about our planet! read more

I ordered a Seared Ahi Burger wrapped in lettuce. I received a way past over cooked Ahi Burger. It was dry, and if you have eaten overcooked ahi you know its like eating leather. Excited that this place finally opened up! I ordered the Korean BBQ bowl with steak. Portion was very generous. Beef was tasty and tender. Staff and management was very friendly and helpful.
