Went to Pacific Catch for a birthday dinner for the first time. Branden was awesome. He was super attentive, friendly and gave us the best recommendations. The calamari was crispy and so flavorful. I got the west coast salmon bowl and Ahi poke bowl. Salmon bowl was good-cauliflower and pesto is a nice touch and brown rice with quinoa was soft and tasty. The Ahi bowl was a different story. The rice was hard and dry, the kind that sticks to your teeth when chewing. Most of the rice was this way. I would also say the rice proportions are too high, which when covered by all the toppings, gives the impression that the bowl is bigger than it actually is. read more

I had the pleasure of dining at Pacific Catch for dinner with my husband and sister. We had made last minute reservations and we're so happy we did. My husband saw someone had ordered a "Thai-tini" from Yelp reviews, and he said he just had to try it. Found out that Phil, the bartender there, had made this drink himself up and he's a mixologist! How freaking cool! We were INCREDIBLY lucky he was working there that evening so he could make this YUMMY drink and that we could talk to him. A very innovative, smart, and personable person. He made sure to come by our table to check to see how we liked the Thai-Tini and we were just really excited to meet him and hear how he thinks of making these drinks. I'm so happy we ended up coming here just the pleasure of meeting Phil and picking his brain. To the food, it was spectacular. I had a wagyu burger with the chile lime seasoned fries and really good coleslaw. I knew everyone loved their food cause no one shared lol. We also ordered appetizers, coconut shrimp, calamari, and pork belly musubi. Everything was DELICIOUS!!! The pork belly musubi was so different, flavors still had the musubi you know of but the pork belly and the sauce they put in was *chef's kiss*. Our server, Dom, was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. I'm super impressed to see such A-players working at this one restaurant. Dom made us feel comfortable and gave us the lay of the land since it was our first time at this establishment making us feel right at home right away. This place seems to be popular, when I arrived at the hostess stand, she said waiting time is between 60-90 minutes. I checked yelp and was able to make a reservation for under 30 minutes, something in their system must be wrong. When we got our table, I was expecting more "American" seafood dishes, menu selection was big but most of the dishes were Asian. Portions size were HUGE, that was very American for sure! Lol I saw a lot of tables leaving with their to-go bags and guess what? I did too because it was way too much food that they served and the quality was not the best. Basic cooking, bland food and not too appetizing to be honest. The restaurant looks and feels ok however, my table and booth were not that clean when I got it, there was a spill of a drink on the floor and nobody cleaned that. In my sincere opinion and to my great disappointment this was the worst seafood restaurant I have ever eaten in. Imagine bread being served and being told they have no solid butter to spread only liquid melted butter which is fine for lobster or king crab. The salad was offered with only one dressing choice which was only so so. I had a Yellowtail filet . My very first bite which kind of ruined it was a mouth full of fish bones. So much for a fish "fillet". The mashed potatoes that were served with my fish was just some type of wet oily mush. The flavor of the actual grilled fish was only mediocre. My wife's Fish and Chips was completely tasteless! Almost every single part of our meals was just plain awful. I will never return to this restaurant. I am sad to say this is the worst restaurant review I have ever had to write . I wanted to like this place. We walked in. There's a beautiful dining room. The menu looks gorgeous. The prices seem a little high though, but maybe it's good. We ordered sushi crudo, it tasted like a fishing boat... disgusting. we ordered the taco plate and a bowl. French fries were dripping soggy slimy. The bowl was filled with wilted lettuce, and the fish did not taste fresh. The potatoes in the yellowtail bowl were also cold and slimy . We paid for the plate. Every single item except the drinks were gross. They comped us for the sushi Crudo and for the bowl . Total should've been $24 +2 drinks plus tax and tip. When I looked on my credit card statement, the bill said $52. I don't know what happened. like I said, I wanted to like the place, but this is another example of a chain restaurant with the photos on the menu being artfully done. The dining room was beautiful.. We ordered the Pupu Platter to try a bit of everything, the Serrano Ahi Poke (opted for 1/2 wontons, 1/2 cucumbers per Phil's recommendation and it was fantastic and fresh!), and an a la carte Baja Cod Taco. I came here on a weekday evening with a large group. Our customer service was horrible. We had to ask for waiter for water, plates, utensils, extra wine glasses (we paid $15 for the corkage fee for each bottle), chairs, soy sauce. The customer service is horrible! Prior to placing our drink orders, I asked if we could have our own bill (for two) and was told yes. We get the bill and everything is on there. The bill is $230. We pay our portion of $80. The "new" bill comes back to $200. We inquire why it didnt get reduced to $150 and was told that we are responsible for paying for food that another table (from our "group"'didn't pay for). We didn't even talk or sit with this other group. We were FORCED TO PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE's FOOD. I said something to the server and he said "since they didn't pay, you guys are responsible for them." Our other friends were charged with our items that we paid for. The waiter is absolutely incompetent and needs more training. We asked for so many basic things: water, plate, utensils, soy sauce, clear the table. HELLO? WTF? I will not be coming back here nor will I ever recommend this place. They scammed us by triple charging us. I hope they are investigated for what they're doing and large groups are aware of what they're doing. After reading some of the reviews. I don't know what restaurant you were in. I've been to several of the restaurants in the chain. For those of you who think the fish is frozen, you're wrong. The fish is delivered fresh daily! The food is always flavorful. The decor of the place is nice. The service is quick, and I never had a problem. Robert, the bartender is awesome he already knows what I drink . That staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. One of the many things I love about Pacific Catch is that the patio is dog friendly. The GM is friendly, working the room talking to customers. I give it 5 stars. Try the Baja Ceviche, its bomb. Oh yea, the SALMON CHOWDER WITH THE LEMON OIL is delicious !!!! My moms favorite. Our first time here and wow was it good! We had the Korean BBQ steak and ribs with kimchi fried rice and Thai brussels. This dish was a knockout and for $35, it was enough food for 3 meals. I loved the 5-spice seasoning in the ribs and the marinated skirt steak pieces were freaking outstanding! We also ordered the fried chicken wings and they had a nice crunchy texture and were very large wings, super tasty! My wife had the Arctic Salmon with Hawaiian sea salt and that was superb. We sat on the patio with our dog which was very relaxing. Our server was top notch...we had a wonderful evening. We will absolutely return to this place on a regular basis! Went here on a Saturday for lunch for a birthday. Great service from Phil and Brendan from the bar who waited our tables. The decor was modern, bright, and clean. We ended up getting the ceviche/poke trio, Korean ribs, and the calamari for appetizers. All were great. I ended up getting the mixed catch fish and chips which came with shrimp and fried calamari. Phil and Brendan really went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of.
