This place is awesome. It's super cute inside, slightly small with limited seating, but they have fantastic coffee. I had the gingerbread brûlée which if you get for there apparently they are supposed to torch the top or something? I unfortunately took mine to-go so I cannot confirm. I was passing Davis on my way to the bay area and wanted to grab matcha at a cafe somewhere, saw that Pachamama had a strawberry matcha on their menu somewhere so I had to try it, went in and found out it was a seasonal item but they had blueberry matcha instead- intriguing so I ordered it and it was surprisingly very good, the matcha is high quality and you can actually taste the blueberry flavor :) looks like they use oat milk as default which is great since many people are dairy sensitive. The service was quick and friendly, not many people inside when I went so I got my drink within a couple minutes after ordering. The interior is spacious but most people like to sit outside from what I observed, overall would come back again :) read more

Visited the one in downtown Sac, and wanted to check this one out with the hubs. Decided to go with the Salted Dulce de Leche breve latte, kiddo went with the Purple Haze Matcha (? Matcha w/ lavendar), and hubs went with the Winter Mint Mocha. First off, cafe was very clean and inviting. Would be a nice place to hang out. Staff were also friendly. As for the coffees, as much as I liked my breve latte, it was a tad on the too sweet side for me this time. As for the matcha and mocha drinks, hubs and kiddo thought they were ok but nothing super special. This was only my second time visiting a Pachamama Cafe. I think this is the first coffee shop I've walked into where oat milk is not an additional charge. Yay! I started my weekend off with an Iced Honey Bear Latte; consisting of honey and cinnamon. I only knew about it through their Yelp as I couldn't find it on the menu. The flavor was perfect while still having the coffee flavor shine through. The staff were super friendly and were pushing drinks out quickly. The shop itself is large and spacious. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It was meh. Strawberry matcha tasted like strawberry milk, no matcha flavor. Sign said "fresh strawberries" but it was just syrup. Also, they charge a "service fee" ... not sure what that's about. They do fill it up to the rim though, so that's good. read more

I had high hopes for this place because the pictures and reviews were really good. However, it seems like multiple customers had a problem with clumpy matcha? As someone who enjoys matcha regularly, this was disappointing for me. Hopefully all the staff eventually gets trained how to make matcha lattes properly. It ALWAYS has to be sifted in order to avoid clumps. This was too clumpy for me so I ended up tossing it. Gave it 2 stars because the atmosphere was comfortable and quiet. read more

Stopped by Monday morning on a short trip to Davis. Really cute coffee shop with attentive and helpful baristas. I do wish they had a full menu up on the board. I only discovered they had a lavender latte through Yelp. The lavender latte had the perfect hint of lavender and was warm and refreshing. I was told it's usually made with oat milk. I've been meaning to try one of their two Sacramento locations for a while, but was in Davis and thought I might as well try this location. Cute interior with potted plants throughout the shop. Friendly service. I asked about the Yelp check in offer and they informed me they don't accept it anymore. We tried two of their seasonal drinks, the Lavender Latte and a Cherry Blossom Matcha. The Lavender Latte didn't really taste like anything. The Cherry Blossom Matcha wasn't a flavor I particularly enjoyed either, but that's likely just a personal preference. I was pretty disappointed with the drinks and had high hopes based on the many positive reviews...Oh well, saves me time on visiting the Sac locations. read more

I have been to the Sacramento locations plenty of times so I knew this one wouldn't disappoint me! We stopped in before going to the farmers market. It's a cute little spot with lots of natural sunlight inside and plenty of tables outside. They just recently released the spring menu so I picked the blueberry matcha latte with oat milk. I love that Pachamama doesn't charge extra for alternative milk and hope that other coffee shops can follow in their footsteps. I have been avoiding leaving a review for this place for quite a while, I was hoping the employees were just overwhelmed or something... But every time I've come to this location in Davis I'm very unsatisfied with the customer service AND my drinks. The employees seem almost annoyed when any one comes in and they aren't able to chat amongst themselves, and have to make drinks for the customers, it's very off putting. It makes you not even want to come in, it feels like you're interrupting their social time. It's extremely unprofessional and honestly just rude. read more

Disappointed in the attitude I received from a cashier. After getting my coffee, I went to reach for sugar and the cashier glared at me and said, "Excuse me?!" in a rude tone. I explained that I was getting sugar and her response was "Okay?" and then she rolled her eyes at me. I'm not sure why this exchange even happened. It was shocking to say the least. We found panchamama because we needed a very quick breakfast and it was conveniently located across from our hotel which was like a 30 second walk. It's a purist coffee spot. But I love that they had some unique lattes on their spring menu to switch things up from the usual. I ordered a blueberry matcha latte and you can really taste the blueberries. It was a first for me and I fully enjoyed it. My fiance ordered the usual drip. Came back after a few months and the price of a small latte is now $7.50 Not only that, but more than half of it is just filled with ice! I like Pachamama coffee and have been a loyal customer for many years, but with these prices it's not worth it anymore. There are other local coffee shops that have opened up with the same quality lattes (and larger sizes) for $5.50. I don't feel like my money was well spent here. Pretty cute coffee shop that caught my eye while surfing through YELP during my time in Davis. As per Thaleon's message, "Organic coffee directly from family farmers around the world. Roasted daily in Sacramento. All profits to farmers." Pretty cool to see that the profits go to the farmers who are part of the cooperative. I enjoyed the interior of the cafe, as it was very bright and welcoming. Ordered the Gingerbread Latte which seemed pretty fitting as it was raining that day, and it was still in January. Was quite tasty. It wasn't heavy on the taste, and just tasted delightful. They had some merchandise also available to see while you were waiting for your drink to be made. Overall: 8/10 Pachamama met my need for an iced coffee on a hot summer day. I decided to check out their cafe after reading about their mission. Their mission is commendable, and if not for the coffee, it is definitely worth it to at least find out more about their cause. We ordered two of their seasonal items from the Summer menu, the Maple Brown Sugar (10/10), and the Coconut Cream (6/10). The Maple Brown Sugar was the perfect balance between sweet and bitter, but the Coconut Cream was underwhelming and we couldn't taste any coconut. Quiet, conceptual, delicious! I've been here a couple times and each time I got convinced that it's the best coffee place in Davis. I can consider myself a person who knows something about coffee, and I can say that their beans are amazing! Today I got my usual latte on oat milk and asked the barista to make it flat (less foam). My drink was perfect! Smooth texture, flavory espresso taste and comfortable temperature. Barista was very friendly and welcoming. She both took my order and made my coffee. And it took her less than 5min, while also having a little chat with me. The place is not that huge, but there are some seats inside and outside. Pachamama is the best quality coffee, the most ethical business model, and fair prices. The beans here are the absolute best quality and best variety around. You can get any range of roasts, from lightest light to darkest dark, with lots of blends and specializations. They also have a range of roasts for their decaf, which is pretty rare. On top of that, the beans cost about the same as Temple or Blue Bottle, but Pachamama actually pays their US-based staff AND their international growers what they are worth. In fact, Pachamama growers are all co-operative co-owners of the business. It's nice to have a place with good businesses practices, a great ambience in the cafe itself, and high quality product. read more

Matcha was white with very little matcha flavoring it tasted like milk. The girls behind the counter didn't even smile at-least not to me.

The ambience here is nice. I like the colors of the store. Baristas were all very nice. I arrived here with my kids, bought some coffee bags and tried their hot chocolate. It was fantastic and they made it nice for my kids. My wife also enjoys the coffee here. Besides Pachamama, people tend to favor Temple Coffee just a few blocks away. But I think I like the subtlety of this store more. The ambience here is more chill, and not like place if you really need to study for a final (compared to starbucks, temple, or peets. I was craving a matcha latte and although I usually go to a different cafe nearby, yesterday I decided to give Pachamama a try. I got an Iced Matcha Latte with oat milk and honey, and compared to other cafes, including my favorite which I won't name, Pachamama's Matcha Latte is nothing exceptional. I would rate it a 1 out of 5. It was way too watered down (and no it wasn't the ice) and not enjoyable at all and for $6.50 it is not worth it! The locale is pretty cute though. read more

I was on my way to temple when I passed Pachamama. It was a spontaneous decision to walk in. It looked quieter and doesn't have a wifi time limit, so I figured why not give it a try. The ladies that helped me were so, so kind. They gave me a quick run down of what they offer, the wifi password, and brought me my drink. The honey and lavender syrup are made in house, so I opted for a oatmilk cappuccino with half lavender syrup. It was perfect! Hint of lavender but not too sweet. The foam on top was also very pleasant. While I was studying outside, I somehow dropped my highlighter straight into my fresh cappuccino! Only had two sips. I went inside to grab some napkins to clean the mess, and upon laughing with them about my clumsiness they offered me another fresh drink. It was really kind and unexpected, given it was my fault.
