Possibly one of my worst dining out experiences. I've lived in Sebring all my life and have never had a problem since this weekend, but it makes me think this location is under new and failing management. We were a party of six adults and two children (19months and 7months) that needed high chairs. When I put our name in with the hostess I explained this and she told me that our wait would be 20-25 minutes. After 45 minutes waiting to be seated, we decide to leave and pick up some fast food since our toddler was starving and her bedtime was 8:00 (it was 6:00 when we arrived). At that point we were assured that a table was almost ready for us. So we stayed. When we were seated a few minutes later they led us to a six person table with one chair replaced with a high chair. The toddler ended up having to sit in her mother's lap and we had to squeeze four on the booth side that was only meant to fit three. When our server came we told her we were ready to order and along with our meals asked that a plate of French fries be brought out as soon as possible because our toddler was extremely hungry from the wait. About 45 minutes later, we received the French fries. At that time it was getting close to 8:00, so we asked our server to bring our food in boxes and with the checks because we needed to leave as soon as possible and wouldn't be able to eat it here. She seemed rather flabbergasted and agreed. About 15 minutes later we still had no food and we stood to leave and one of our party went to talk to the manager about paying for the fries and drinks and to explain that we've been here for two hours with no food and we have to go. They told us our meals were being boxed at the moment, so we stood in the dinning area while they brought out our checks. We asked if anything could be done about our bills due to the inconvenience, and the manager begrudgingly deducted a total of only $9 between the six of us. After paying, we sent the family with the toddler on ahead to put her to bed while the rest of us waited for the food. Once our food came they were missing a meal (Thank goodness we checked! We almost left without it!). When our missing meal finally came out, it was on a plate and we had to send it back to be boxed. Finally, we were able to leave. When we returned home, all of our meals had to be reheated. It was a terrible waste of time and money, not to mention extremely frustrating to have paid almost full price for a restaurant meal that we had to reheat, use our own plates and forks, and provide our own drinks for. What made the experience even worse was the staffs attitude- it was as if they couldn't understand why we wanting to leave after waiting two hours with no food. I live in Naples, but sometimes travel to Sebring for business and R&R. I am not one to frequent chain restaurants, but I decided to give this Outback location a try. My group was quickly sat, and within moments our server Matt politely greeted us and took our drink orders. Our drinks were delivered quickly, and I asked Matt to make some recommendations on the menu as I had not visited an Outback location in some time. Matt had an extensive knowledge of the menu, and at his recommendation I ordered the Volcano Shrimp as an app, and the Firecracker Salmon as my entrée. The shrimp was delightful, and came out piping-hot. I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to table-maintenance displayed by our server, which is hard to find at a national chain sometimes. The salmon was very moist, and well-spiced. We skipped dessert in favor of some after-dinner drinks. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of this restaurant. The employees seemed well-trained and service was prompt and attentive, yet not overbearing. I will be back on my next visit to Sebring. read more

After avoiding Outback for several years because each dining experience had not been favorable, we decided to give it another try. As we were watched being taken in and seated near the bar, the employees seemed to scatter. No one came to our table to greet us, no one acknowledged our existence, so after 5 minutes or more of waiting we simply got up and left never to go back again. Very bad we had a party of 13 at 8pm and 37 minutes after ordering we were told that two of our guest that ordered prime rib cannot have it because they ran out, majority got ribeyes and they all tasted like they were previously frozen, very tough to chew and why it took that long to realize they had to 86 prime rib is beyond me...never returning read more

Well , I ordered a filet , medium. It came out still mooing . Ehhh . Couldn't even cut it , it was that rare.

We haven't been to outback for a while so we decided to go. It was very nice table setting and service the waiter was great listened very closely. I ordered salmon and sweet potato and a wedge salad. The salmon was fine although a little dry the potato was great, but I was very disappointed in the wedge salad. Originally this was the first time I had ever eaten a wedge salad and it was absolutely wonderful however things have gone south with how they make them. They are now in a bowl which I think is all wrong because it kind of mashes it all together in a big heap. It was smothered in dressing, I did ask for extra blue cheese crumbles which they gave me, it didn't have any bacon on it and if it was those horrible bacon bits and maybe one or two tomatoes. It was a soupy mess. I also used to like the little sweet Balsamic vinegar drizzled that they did before but it was absent. We returned today to Outback and I am happy to report their wedge salad was once again great. Also had their crab cakes and was very pleased. . read more

We were in town during Veterans Day Holiday weekend and We decided to have an early dinner. We had a short 10 minute wait time, which is nothing compared to Our 1 hour wait time in Miami. We were lucky to be taken care of by EMILY! She was truly AMAZING!! She made suggestions to Us for dinner selections and to how have our steaks cooked. She brought out Our appetizers quik. Then Our Steak & Shrimp Dinners came out pefect. We had a very stressful day but She truly made our Evening great. read more

Not very busy when we sat which was a clue but I've eaten here before and it's been decent. Our server was nice but not great. His female assistant who brought drinks from the bar was new as she didn't know whose beer was whose and brought a corona to the table without a lime which I believe is illegal. My lamb was overly seasoned and very salty. Waiter got my order messed up so he brought me the wrong sides. The rest of the table had a better experience and their meals were correct. Tried my wife's filet and was not impressed. Would I go back again. Maybe. Not a ton of choices in Sebring. I've had plenty of good experiences at outback in other places over the years so I won't drag the brand down for one subpar location Update: manager emailed me about my experience and we spoke over phone. He was very nice and apologetic that we didn't have a great experience. Certainly will go back again now to give it another try read more

Granted it was Mother's day weekend and every place in Sebring was packed, but come on. Unfortunately for us we got the same waiter we had a while back when we sent to Outback for a family gathering. I ordered the prime rib and told him I did not want it oozing with blood. It came out and I could not even chew it because it was raw. He said I will get it fixed. All the family is almost finished with their meals when my meal comes out with broccoli not the baked potato it left with. This piece also was raw. I gave up and ate the outer pieces and saved the rest with the broccoli for my son for his lunch or dinner the next night. My husband's steak was overcooked. Needless to say we will not be going back there for quite some time. The waiter was the same as he was the last time, very inattentive to the needs of his tables. read more

Very sad, we eat here quite often, but the last few times the service has been horrible. We initially were seated and it had to be 10 minutes before anyone even walked over to tell us they will be with us in a Moment. We saw people around us come and go - we were still waiting on food, finally got our food and 1 persons didn't come. When asked for extras (butter, dressing, etc.....)never received. POOR service. The manager came over and apologized - he took $5.99 off of our bill --- WOOPIE! That is basically an insult! Should have just left the $5.99 on it. I wouldn't even give it a one star , I usually love out back I went recently and I had the worst experience there it took them an hour and a half for my chicken sandwich and my husband's pasta... it didn't even taste good and the thing is the place wasn't even busy so I don't know why they took forever to bring our food I'm very disappointed and I won't go back to it read more

Stopped in for a late lunch. We ordered salmon and a chopped salad. The salad came out without any eggs. When I asked I was told that they had run out of hard boiled eggs earlier in the day. I was told they were going to cook some more as I was also missing the promised avocado. Avocado was brought out, but the eggs were not delivered until well after my salad was done. Salmon was overcooked and on the "fishy" side. Thought we'd change it up as last visits were also disappointing with the meats delivered. None of the casual dining chains in Sebring are anything to write home about. However Outback is the least offensive. The service is attentive, the food is cooked reasonably well, and the establishment, while not immaculate, is clean compared to the other chains. Go to local establishments first. When you've exhausted those Outback isn't too bad. read more

Visited this Outback. Ordered. They were real busy on a Friday. So if you can avoid going when they are busy. I've visited this Outback before when they weren't busy and customer service was great. Now fast forward to this visit a total different experience. We had to waive down our server every time we need a beverage refill. Just a total different experience altogether. No consistency. So go visit them when they are not swamped with customers and mediocre customer service. I asked our server to comp me on the side I ordered. The asparagus was grilled but it was all burnt. I don't mind a little char but those stalks of asparagus not only looked to be burnt but had the burnt taste as well. I asked to add a New York strip to my order but they charged me for a full entree rather than just charging me for the add on steak. I don't mind paying but feel I got gouged. It's not a horribly ran place it just needs consistency. You may go one day and have a great experience and the next a disappointing experience. Hit or miss, you decide. read more

I take out several times a month at Outback Sebring FL and until recently I only had good things to say but after earning a free meal after 10 meals I ordered teriyaki steak and was extremely disappointed as the steak was so hard to cut and worse to chew and I ended up throwing it all out and will not go back again!! read more

When to Outback's the other night, WOW!!! What can I say,,, the food was wonderful, and the service, fantastic. The food can be great but if the service is bad, your whole experience is bad. We had a waiter named Austin, he is so great, knew the foods and his answers to our questions were perfect. This guy needs to train other wait staff, his personality was so good, he kept us entertained and well fed. Jorden the manager, is so accommodating, I have nothing but praise. Now the food, my friend and I just wanted a salad, so we had the Blue Cheese, Pecan chopped salad, you have to try this salad, so good. I'm going back today and get another one, to go!!! You won't be wrong going to this restaurant and by the way try the salad, by the way, the steak and shrimp was wonderful. read more

Terrible! Initially took 10 min to be greeted by server and another 10 to get drinks. Mind you, this is Saturday night and no where near a full house. Never got server's name. Just my daughter and me.... My filet must have found a good hiding spot under the heat lamp b/c it was totally over cooked, or there was no one running food. Kids chicken fingers came out without side or dipping sauce. Server was sweet but clearly not the best night job choice. Benefit of the doubt...maybe lack of training...? Had dinner here with my wife and 2 boys, the service was horrible, to say the least. We're has customer service gone( not here). My son ordered a steak medium rare it came back blood rare sent it back came back charcoal on the outside tasted like charcoal and still blood rare the manager on duty was a joke. Went last night and couldn't even find the words. Had to wait until I calmed down today to write. Service was HORRIBLE! The waitress brought out the wrong sides with my steak (which I don't view as a big deal. Easily fixable). But instead I was blamed. She said that is what I asked for, but if I have changed my mind she would see about changing it. Seriously!? I NEVER EVER eat baked potatoes, so I would never ask for them. As a matter of fact, I rarely eat any potatoes. I asked for green beans, just like every other time I go to Outback! She took the potato away and replaced with green beans. We didn't see her again after that until she brought the bill. Another server had to get us steak sauce and refills. When she brought the bill, she had charged me for an extra side. I pointed it out and she told me that she charged me for "adding the greenbeans." At this point I was looking for a hidden camera! Horrible horrible horrible. Bad servers will kill your business! The food was fine. The chop salad is the best. Lucky for ok food or this place would have zero stars from me! We are done with this Outback. I am not a regular patron of Outback Steakhouse restaurants and have limited experiences at other locations but I have visited this location 3-4 times (due to receiving gift cards from friends and family over the last year). The food is great and have no issues with the food besides the fact that it is quite expensive for mediocre food but that's a company issue. My biggest complaint with this location is the speed of service. Out of all my visits to the Sebring Outback, I have never been able to be served an entire meal in under 2 hours (this does not include seating time). I have been there when it's packed and when there was hardly anyone at the restaurant and service takes FOREVER! I suggest that if you don't have 2 hours plus to spare for a meal, skip Outback Steakhouse. I'm not sure if it's a management issue, kitchen problems, or training of the servers, but something needs some attention here. read more

I like Outback. I usually go to the Sebring location at least once a month for lunch while Im here in FL and an occasional dinner. This location appears to be reasonably clean and the food is consistent. They could stock the refrigerators better as they run out of things allot. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The only negative is if you go for lunch you are better off sitting at a table rather than the bar. Don't get me wrong, the afternoon bartender is very nice and always has a smile but she consistantly suffers from short term memory loss. When she notices you she immediately takes your drink order, unsweet tea. Then you don't see her for a while. Then she shows up again and says, I will have your iced tea in a minute, was that sweet or unsweet? Then poof, gone again. Then she comes back after the kitchen reminds her there is a dish to be served, she brings your lunch and again asks that iced tea, sweet?? UNSWEET! ok, I will get it to you in a second. Then POOF, gone again. Then you get your tea halfway through your lunch, SWEET of course, along with the check and in the blink of an eye you are alone at the bar again. So you drink your SWEET tea, don't expect a refill unless you get up and pour it yourself, and you hope you have the proper currency in your wallet because who knows when you will see her again to take your money and god forbid you have to wait for change. She is very sweet and always nice, but do yourself a favor, sit at a table. This is normal behavior for her as I am there on average once a month for lunch and its always the same. I don't know where she goes or what she is doing but it is not tending to the bar. read more

This is the worst Outback! I've been to many of the years. I love Outback, but don't bother with this one. I've given them several chances to redeem themselves and it never happens. Lacks chain consistency. Staff is poorly trained, and there to have fun with each other. Food is terrible! Bathrooms are disgusting. I'm done with it. Go to Olive Garden up the street. It's a good one. If you want steak, go to Cody's just down the road a bit. Always excellent there. read more

The service was very slow. I have eaten at numerous Outback steakhouses up and down the east coast, the midwest, the west coast, and in South Korea and this is by far the worst one. My son's order of Mac and Cheese came out 10 minutes after the food was served. The time between ordering and receiving food was very long and the time between seeing the waitress was very long. Half of our table did not receive food at the same time as the other half. The staff was definitely focused on cleaning up for the night instead of servicing the customer. A dinner that should take an hour from the time you sit at the table took over 2 hours. read more
