Steak was all fat cold and no taste what's so ever. Caesar salad was crisp and fresh. Bake potatoes good. Wife had a sirloin steak it tasted better than my ribeye. Great service and good solid food at a good price. This is what I appreciate about Outback, always consistent and good quality food. Except the NY style Cheesecake. lol too damn sweet! I'm not sure what others think about it but I have a problem with super sugary things. But everything else is great. Starting with their signature pumpernickel bread and butter, followed by the potato soup which they make delicious. Then the steak cooked to perfection. I asked for a medium steak and got just that. Went here on Saturday November 9th 2024 with my mom and dad as a party of 3. We entered, and was told that there was a wait. even though there was a wait, glad to see that it was busy. Although as far as chains go, there is now limited options around here. Finally, it was time for us to sit down, and we were sat in a booth near the restrooms. Our server was very nice, too bad i forgot her name. We were served pumpernickel bread promptly. for drinks, we all got waters and The Aussie Rum Punch. Drink was very good and delicious. For Food, I got the Taz Pasta which is a spicy pasta with shrimp. can't remember what my mom and dad got, but i do remember we ate it all. I took home my pasta, and ate it as leftovers one day. This told me it isn't home made it was a cryo packed frozen burger as u told the mgr and he days yrs their frozen. Now at other places they have real fresh grnd beef burger. I said this is raw and cold like it's been frozen and he days yrs it's pre frozen not fresh mafe. He told ltokk off the hamburger and I'll never go back again. Friends and I visited recently. Our waitress Dee was wonderful. I hadn't seen my friends in months and we took time to catch up and talk over things going on in our life now. Dee never made us feel rushed. She gave us extra time to decided and always had a smile. Very friendly and engaging. The food was good. Both the steaks and chicken ordered were moist and delicious. It's so rare that I go out of my way to write reviews, especially for chain restaurants, but our server Kya has to be one of the greatest servers my family has ever had. From the start, she made us feel at home, incredibly sweet and was more than accommodating the entire stay. Her customer service was nothing short of phenomenal! The food was really good. We went a Friday at like 3pm and the restaurant was calm and nice. My dad wanted a prime rib, unfortunately they didn't have it. Both of my parents also wanted back potatoes and they also didn't have them. We sat down and our waitress came to our table she was very nice we ordered the Blooming Onion and our drinks when I had a Diet Coke without ice with Lemon. My Husband had Raspberry Iced Tea. Plus the bread with butter was brought to us. We bought ordered the STEAK & TAIL which is Outbacks signature center cut sirloin paired with a steamed lobster tail. Served with choice of steakhouse potato and one side. Both of us got the 6oz Sirloin $ 26.99 each. My husband got the 6oz sirloin ordered Rare and it came out Rare. His only complaint was that the steak had a lot of pepper on it. He also got mashed potatoes and rice. The lobster Tail was very good. He ate everything that was on his plate so he enjoyed his dinner!!!! I also got the 6oz steak Rare and also, got the Lobster Tail which was very good. I also got a sweet potato with everything on it. And I also ordered the Mac & Cheese which had a Creole flavoring on it which I didn't know about until I took my first bite. I also, enjoyed my dinner!!!! There was nothing left on my plate. The waitress came and asked us if we wanted dessert both of us passed at that. I'm just so glad that we ate some of the Blooming Onion and had the rest put in a container for us to take home because then we definitely wouldn't of eaten our food if we had eaten all of the Blooming Onion we've done it before and had to bring our food home but tonight was not that case which I'm so glad especially being that both of us didn't eat all day. It goes without saying, but for those who may not be aware Outback Steakhouse is a chain. For several reason the consensus about chains is usually you know what to expect and it's not fine dining. However what you never expect or want to see for that matter is HAIR in your food... Whomp Whomp Whomp! Traveling from a visit @ Angry Orchard in Walden, NY and headed to Woodbury we stopped here for lunch. As previously mentioned a chain so pretty straight forward or so we hoped. The order started with a couple of apps to share, Kookaburra Wings and Gold Coast coconut shrimp. At the same time we put in our entrée orders as well. As the apps hit the table everyone sampled the fare and then there it was, as my friend went in for a wing she pulled back a long blonde hair... Eww. Since all four of us are African Americans with natural hair, that is dark and curly and one in Locs. It clearly didn't belong to us. It was brought to our waitress' attention and she offered to replace it, but damage was done. The kitchen manager came out and apologized as well as removed that item from the bill. Nonetheless as our entrées arrived the infamous hair forced us to reevaluate everything as a whole. It just highlighted that while once a chain slightly above the rest, the portions have decreased and their production & taste has fallen. A reminder of why chains are not top of the lists for many. Just A Note: 2 stars not 1 star because the kitchen manger came to the table and personally apologized, while his jokes had bad timing, that was a required gesture for me. Oh I'm so happy this location is better than it used to be! I love Outback, it's one of my favorite chain restaurants but for a while this location wasn't the best. I recently brought my two kiddos and had a great time. Our server was outstanding, so friendly and kind to my kids. The ribs were amaaaaaaaaazing! Like you wouldn't expect at a chain restaurant. My chicken was cooked perfectly. My son loved his grilled cheese. But most of all the kids love the pumpernickel bread served with whipped butter. They really look forward to that. Disappointing. We started off with a blooming onion, which is always good, no complaints there. After the onion everything went down hill fast. We ordered a French onion soup and the waitress came over and said they ran out and the chef was making more. When the soup arrived, about 20 minutes later, it was awful, it tasted like mushrooms, only mushrooms. We also ordered a burger and the new prime rib sandwich. Both were soggy and barely warm as if they were sitting there waiting for that soup to be done. Not only that, the prime rib sandwich was 60% fat 30% mushrooms and onions and 10% prime rib, awful. Ate here for the first time in many years. I reserved a table online through their website which I would recommend. We were seated right away, social distancing was in force as tables/booths were spread out. Our waitress came over quickly and took out drink order. I ordered the kookaburra wings. I did not care for them as I thought they were way over seasoned and a bit too salty. My dinner consisted of baby back ribs with fries. The ribs were very good, tender and the BBQ sauce was good. My companion had the Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked right and I was told it tasted good. Overall, I think this place was good. The service was great. The waitress came by often as well as the bus help. The food came out in a timely matter and although I did not like the wings, the dinner was A-ok. Worst dining experience I've ever had in my life. The server was nice but didn't seem to fully be present while talking to the table. The drinks took forever and only half of them came out and in another 10 minutes the rest of the table got there's. She took forever to come back and take the appetizer order and by that time we had wanted to order food as well and she left so fast we never got to order. There was not many other tables in the restaurant so we did not understand where the server was half the time, but apps took forever to come out. We completely finished all of the apps and then about 20 minutes later she came back to take the food order. Understanding there was 9 of us so it was a bigger table but 6 of the 9 people's food was wrong, and some items ordered never even came out. We were offered soup and salads while we waited for the correct food but we had already ordered soups with dinner and those never came out either. By this time half of the family ate and the other half was stilllll waiting for food, she never came back to ask if we wanted another drink and when she did they took so long to arrive that we had forgotten about them and already paid and were about to leave because we already wasted half of our day in this place. Went to the outback recently on a Sunday evening in Middletown, New York I ordered the full rack of ribs and my girlfriend ordered the 8 ounce Victoria filet mignon and my friend ordered the prime rib. When our orders arrived at the table, my girlfriend had ordered her filet mignon for medium rare, and when it arrived, it was very rare. My ribs were just above room temperature. The waitress immediately apologize and took both plates back to the kitchen! Approximately 10 to 12 minutes later she came back and said that we will have our plates in two minutes. We waited at least another 10 to 12 minutes before my girlfriends fillet mignon came out and it was OK The waitress left quickly and I was thinking she was going to get my ribs but again I waited for more than 10 minutes. Finally the ribs arrived and they were very hot like they should've been the first time.! By this time, my friend had finished his plate, and my girlfriend was finishing up her plate. I had to eat primarily by myself. It was very disturbing. I had thought about just getting up and leaving the restaurant, but I was so hungry that I ate it. To make things worse the manager named Donald arrived at our table and apologized and explained that the kitchen was a little backed up. I said to him that does not explain the filet mignon being undercooked and my ribs coming out just about room temperature and all the wait time with just one appearance of the waitress during the wait. The restaurant was only about 20% full!? I don't understand how the kitchen could be backed up. The manager, Donald is fully responsible for our horrible time at the outback in Middletown and offered nothing to us. Primarily his attitude was just eat it. After a full day of shopping at Woodbury commons, we needed to replenish our strength with a good ole steak, in comes outback. We walked in right before the dinner rush hour, thus we were sitted right away. Our waiter was very attentive and the manager actually made our drinks. She stopped by often to make sure everything was good. Now to the main event. I like my steak medium well (yes I know, I'm not really enjoying the steak at that temperature but no bloody center for me). This was grilled to perfection, I'm not sure how they do it but it was tender and tasty. I didn't need any additional sauce with it. I choose the seasonal vegetable which was broccoli. It was blanched perfectly and paired well with my rib eye. I'm not a fan of mac and cheese but the picture on the menu looked appetizing and decided to order it. Boy am I glad I did. It was very creamy and cheesy and the breadcrumbs on top made it complete. Definitely met my carnivore craving. Great place to eat after shopping. read more

So, we asked Lydia C to split our check, 50/50. After charging our cards, she dropped off our check holder and bolted away. I immediately knew something was wrong. Lydia, it's 2023, we get notifications when our cards are charged. We were charged a total of 4 times. 2 obscure amounts and 2 correct amounts. Lydia never mentioned it, which is why she bolted away after dropping off our check holder. When my sister proceeded to find her and politely ask her about the charges, she obviously knew, didn't apologize and acted like it was no big deal. That's the most annoying part...why couldn't she take ownership and say "hey, I'm so sorry. I made a mistake and charged you the wrong amount. I had to cancel it and charge you the correct amount"? Instead Lydia said nothing and did nothing, as if she was hoping we wouldn't catch it. Pretty sheisty if you ask me. Communication goes a long way. Praying someone will read this review and explain to Lydia the importance of transparency with customers moving forward and how our business keeps her on their payroll. Oh and the manager wasn't much better, giving a dismissive apology on behalf of her sus employee and when my sister asked for proof of the canceled transaction, her response was, "the receipts were thrown in the garbage". *Eye roll*.
