I really had high hopes it would be a better experience. Service was good. The blooming onion was incredibly greasy, and they did not bother to take out the outer tough layer of the onion before making it. The steak was disappointing, the sweet potato was nice, but the broccoli was prepared with little care, and they did not bother to cut the fibrous ends off of the tips. This is our first time at an outback steakhouse since we moved back from Hawaii. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was mediocre at best. I had the 6 ounce sirloin cooked medium rare. It took around 45 minutes to get food after ordering also the waitress kept disappearing then when she finally shows back up I ask what is taking so long for the food she said the wings are taking a long time to cook so I ask for a manager after about 10 minutes she comes and apologizes and say the steak didn't look good so I made them remake it. Feeling adventurous and with a $10 Outback Steakhouse reward burning a digital hole in my inbox, I decided to stray from my usual steakhouse haunts (shoutout to Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn) and give Outback in Delray Beach another chance. My previous experiences hadn't set the bar high, but there was that coupon. Arriving around 8:15 PM, we utilized the online waitlist feature, which, wasn't needed. We were seated immediately upon arrival in a dining room that was far from bustling, with plenty of open tables and bar seats. Our seating, however, was at arguably the most awkward table in the establishment. To add to the ambiance, the table just inches away was littered with the remnants of a previous dinner - a sight that remained unaddressed throughout most of the time we were here, adding a certain je ne sais quoi to our dining experience. Before we could blink, bread and water were brought to our table by a mysterious figure not our server, a promising start soon overshadowed by the lengthy wait that followed, as we waited, and waited, and waited for our server to show up. When our server did grace us with her presence, drink orders were taken: two sodas and one smoked old fashioned for me. The sodas arrived in a timely fashion, but my cocktail embarked on a journey of its own. We opted for the Bloomin' Onion, a sodium-laden behemoth, yet my old fashioned remained a figment of my imagination. After yet more waiting and some technical difficulties with her order taking device, our server took our meal orders. My inquiry about the MIA cocktail was met with assurances of a bustling bar, a claim that could easily be debunked by just looking at the number of people at the bar and in the restaurant. If this was considered "busy" ... they have issues. The salads made their entrance (sans old fashioned), but just as I was about to lose hope, the elusive cocktail appeared - 20 minutes after ordering it. The presentation was the only commendable aspect; the drink itself was a sad concoction of prebatched spirits and an overwhelming sweetness thanks to more liquid sugar than whiskey. My dining companions asked if I ordered a shot, as there probably wasn't more than 1.5oz of liquid in the smoke filled glass. Onto the main event: the meatloaf ordered by my dining companion could best be described as a nostalgic nod to grade school cafeterias on Salsbury Steak day, while the sirloins, though cooked to our liking, shared the spotlight with the most diminutive, overcooked piece of chicken imaginable. The service throughout the evening was a slow dance of inattentiveness, leaving much to be desired. In conclusion, even the allure of another $10 reward might not be enough to lure me back for another round at Outback Steakhouse, where the highlight of my meal was, regrettably, the salad. Steak and salad were decent. Salty baked potato was really good. We were also served complementary bread rolls that were delicious as always! My dining mates both thought their meals were "fair." The interior struck me as a bit old/dated. There wasn't a lot of room in the aisle for people to pass with the walker next to our table. It might have been better for them to offer to store the walker somewhere--perhaps in back, by the host stand, etc. I've seen this done at other restaurants. Just three stars for me this time due to nothing spectacular and a couple drags. I'll certainly be back, though, as this is a long-time favorite. read more

I am writing to formally report a very disappointing and troubling experience at your Delray Beach, Florida location, which I have been a loyal and regular customer of for many winters. My mother and I dined outside, as we always do, along with her service dog. We are familiar with the menu, typically order the same items, and are often served by the same waiter. Unfortunately, this visit was far below the standard we have come to expect from Outback Steakhouse. Our visit lasted over two hours due to extremely slow service. While I do not blame the waitress personally, there appeared to be significant delays from both the kitchen and bar. When our food finally arrived, it was cold, suggesting it had been sitting for some time. The most concerning issue occurred when I reviewed my bill. I was charged $17.00 for a 5 oz grilled chicken with no sides. This price was higher than our full adult meals and made no sense based on the menu. As a frequent customer, I know that: * A side grilled chicken is typically $7.99 * A grilled chicken entrée is $14.99 and includes two sides and dessert * A children's chicken meal is $8.99 and includes a side and drink I questioned the charge at the front desk, where the employee immediately acknowledged the pricing was incorrect and offered to get a manager. When Manager Taccoa Smith became involved, her response was dismissive, loud, and unprofessional. She stated, "You ordered protein -- that's the price," and refused to acknowledge the clear inconsistency with the menu. When I explained that I am a regular customer and have never been charged this amount for the same item, she was rude, huffed away, and only offered sides after I insisted that if I was being charged for an adult meal, I should receive what an adult meal includes. Her tone and behavior were inappropriate and made the situation extremely uncomfortable. Multiple staff members quietly confirmed that the charge was incorrect, and it was clear they were afraid to speak openly in her presence. One employee discreetly handed me her card without the manager seeing it, which speaks volumes about the work environment. I want to be very clear: I am not seeking anything free. I simply wanted to be charged correctly for what I ordered and treated with basic respect. The way this situation was handled left me feeling embarrassed, dismissed, and frankly questioned whether I was being unfairly treated -- something I have never experienced at this location before. This was easily the worst experience I have ever had at Outback Steakhouse, and it is deeply disappointing because I used to love dining at this location. The young staff showed far more professionalism and customer service than the manager on duty, which indicates a serious leadership issue. I hope this matter is reviewed carefully. We used to go to this location 3 to 4 years ago and enjoyed it, I loved the 20 ounce beers and the wings. Well we stopped in for lunch after a Home Depot run and oh boy . The hostess actually seated us at a table with a check and a plate on it ! The table was wet and obviously not cleaned . And we'd stopped by as we had another Christmas gift certificate that we needed to use by the end of the month. I had already decided on my lunch special order -- not remembering that they are only offered during the week (and this was Saturday). Not a big deal. For just a dollar more, I was still able to get a burger. I ordered a burger with a side of mashed potatoes. The burger came with a choice of cheese and condiments. I got mine with provolone and lettuce and tomato. The burger was cooked as requested and was pretty good. My mashed potatoes needed to be reheated as they were only lukewarm. Once returned hot, they too were pretty good with done added butter. My husband decided to have soup and salad for lunch. He got their soup of the day -- potato. Once it, too, was reheated it was pretty good. It had back. Crumbles, cheddar cheese, and scallions in it. His side Caesar salad was good. A great Wednesday night and a wonderful dining experience. I was dining alone and was most comfortable seated at the bar. Greg the bar tender/server was spot on making me feel very welcomed as well as checking several times to assure my meal was as ordered and perfect. From beginning to end dinner couldn't have been any better. I was craving a good burger so I was heading over to Longhorn. I had a rough couple of days so I just wanted some Bailey's and a burger, nothing fancy. I don't know what I was thinking but somehow I wound up at the bar in the Outback. I ordered a cheeseburger (no bun) and for my side, I went with a salad. I also ordered a side dish of sautéed onions. My burger and salad were both good. My side order of sautéed onions were good, however it was a very small serving which was disappointing. I was supposed to get pickles with the burger but my server was busy. When she came to see how everything was, I was just about done with my lunch. I didn't have the best service, and when I asked her for something she told me she has other things to do but she will try. I understand being busy but she didn't need to be short with me either. Here's the thing, she was the only server in the bar area and she was also the bartender. She wasn't smart with her time at all. Instead of being an attentive server she spent her time chatting with her regulars sitting at the bar. I don't drink much but every now and then I enjoy Bailey's over ice. This last visit, I was excited to see how it has held up. The place definitely seemed to be brighter and had renovated its decor to a more modern look. My girl and I know we get full easily, and two people on a Bloomin Onion won't finish their meal. So got a bloke Stella draft, ordered the Bloomin Chicken sandwich, and my girl got a cheeseburger. I know inflation is happening, but the portion sizes to the price are way terrible. There are other local and corporate chains that give more at the same price or less; that's on steaks, sandwiches their apps. Heather out waitress was very sweet, she definitely could be more engaging and offered another round if she wanted the sales but she chill no issues from her, it's two stars because of the fail from its HQ.
