    Chicken black rice and noodles

Bolay offers a solid, speedy dining experience that's perfect when you're short on time--but there are some trade-offs in quality. What Worked: * Speed & Convenience - Ordering, pickup, and seating were all efficient. Great for a quick lunch between errands or a fast, casual dinner. * Friendly Service - The staff were upbeat and helpful, ensuring everything arrived promptly. What Could Improve: * Chicken Quality - Unfortunately, the chicken fell short of expectations. The texture was noticeably chewy, which detracted from the overall experience. The sides, dressings, and grain bowls were all flavorful and well-prepared, making Bolay a decent option for a quick, healthy meal. However, the protein--particularly the chicken--could use more attention. Final Take: Bolay hits the mark on speed, atmosphere, and variety. Just skip the chicken and opt for a different protein or mix in extra toppings to elevate the meal. Let me know if you'd like to tweak the tone or add specifics like what sides you tried! EDITED: decided to try it again because i wanted to like it so bad. Ordered the salmon bowl. Drove all the way over there and boom wrong item placed in bag so no lunch for me. NEVER AGAIN BOLAY.

Bolay proves that healthy food doesn't have to be boring. Every bowl is customizable, and everything tastes super fresh -- from the perfectly roasted veggies to the flavorful proteins. The cilantro noodles and lemon-cilantro rice are standout bases, and the spicy Thai shrimp packs serious flavor without going overboard. Portions are just right, service is quick, and the place is bright, clean, and modern -- exactly what you want from a health-forward spot.

I haven't been to this location in a few years, I kind of got into a habit visiting the one out by 441 after work. That branch, on Glades, is really, really good. I usually get the salmon and it's outstanding. Everything in general is very fresh and the service is fantastic. This evening I decided to stop into the Polo Shoppes Bolay, as we really didn't have time to go out west. I got a large bowl with rice, kale salad, broccoli, mushrooms, and salmon. First and foremost they charged me extra for the salmon which is the norm, but the salmon quality was substandard. It was a little squishy and spongy, either like it wasn't cooked enough or maybe it was reheated or sitting for a while. I don't know, either way it wasn't very good. The vegetables were okay, the rice was obviously not fresh there are a lot of crunchy bits in there which I really didn't appreciate. Overall I didn't enjoy the meal, it was a bit of a struggle to get through and at $17 it seemed to be poor value for the money. Also wanted to mention how disappointing my interaction with the staff was. Didn't get a welcome or any greeting from the staff. After saying hello to the worker doing the scooping, I was surprised I didn't get a hello or any reaction back. Also when I said thank you upon paying, I didn't get a you're welcome or any comment back from the cashier. It's also not like they were stressing under a crazy line or anything there are only about two people in the place, so I'm leaving like, "what's up with the attitudes"? Really off putting. Barely two stars, probably would not go back to this branch in the future.

Love this bolay! This team works very well together and management is right by their side! I felt welcome soon as I walked in definitely my go to spot! Keep doing great guys!

I always get a fresh cooked and healthy bowl here for lunch, and if you go with the large bowl for a couple dollars more you double everything in size and ingredients, the bowls are filling and good for you. The fountain drinks are endless and they have a few fruit juices that are very good.

I've never had an issue here. I love that they always leave messages on your bowl. It can sometimes make you feel special. The chicken is never dry nor is the steak. I do want to try the salmon but sometimes I noticed it looks a little dry through the glass. Nevertheless it's calm , always clean, and the people are always nice. Keep in mind that Parking may not be directly in front of the restaurant because if it's location but there is parking on the backside or in the regular plaza area but you may have to walk a little bit depending on how fast people are coming in and out.

Large, build your own bowl. Steak, teriyaki chicken, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and beans

Mainly order takeout from here. However, the food is usually ready very quickly. I order as I leave my office, and my food has always been waiting for me when I get there. The portions are great for the price, a large bowl last two meals. Out of the 5 or so times I have ordered their has only been one time my order was not exactly what I ordered. Parking can be a bit limited for dining in, but they do have sports for pick up only, which is nice. Overall, I am satisfied with this location and the food.

I missed the prices. How much is a small bowl of your food?

The regular is $8.29 & the large is $10.99. There are upcharge $2.00 for shrimp & steak. The regular size is perfect, but I order the large & get 2 meals out of it. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, someone in management apparently looked at a perfectly good menu item that customers actually enjoyed and thought, "You know what? Let's get rid of that." The potatoes were the reason I came back. Crispy, flavorful, and somehow capable of making any meal better. Now they're gone, replaced by disappointment and confusion. I asked if they would be coming back and was told to write a review. For now, it seems these potatoes have been permanently exiled for reasons known only to the menu gods. The rest of the meal was fine, but it's hard to enjoy anything when you're mourning the loss of what was clearly the star of the show. Removing your best side dish is a bold strategy. Let's see if it pays off. Until the potatoes return, I'll likely be spending my dining budget at establishments that haven't declared war on happiness.

Although it has a beautiful menu of wines and spirits, we stuck to their filtered water, and asked KC for any recommendations for lunch. He was very engaging, a wonderful communicator, and we made our selections which started with the bacon wrapped dates (YUM). Prior to my order, I mentioned a dietary restriction and KC promptly went to the kitchen to make an inquiry. I ordered the trout with lentil ragout, and my husband ordered a margarita pizza. The atmosphere was very peaceful, with unintrusive music, and we really did enjoy getting to know KC as he made sure that we were satisfied with every plate. This restaurant is upscale, yet with value pricing. Altogether, my husband and I encourage you to enjoy a lovely meal, and make sure to ask for KC! You won't be disappointed!

However, I came today after work and was unpleasantly greeted by a young female employee. I waited up by the front to be addressed, she made eye contact with me and sighed exasperatedly and started putting on her gloves to start her shift. When she was done she simply blinked at me like a lifeless husk until I took the initiative to order. I made sure to combat her attitude by speaking in the most friendly of tones, but nothing changed. As the next person was finishing up my bowl, a man that had been waiting to order greeted Ms. Sunshine. He smiled and said "Hello how are you?", to which she looked at him, let the question linger in the air, then rolled her eyes again and did not respond. Now I'm not expecting Ritz service at fresh kitchen but... I'm sure there are other deserving young ladies more fit to work at the establishment. Very disappointed in this experience!

Service was good, however, and the food was definitely B or a Level,, in fact, my French Dip sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. My dining partner could barely finish their fish sandwich due to it's sheer size. It is worth mentioning that the menu definitely comes at a price point higher than most chain restaurants. If they can only provide the dining experience without all of the locals who jammed the place and carrying on conversations as loudly as they can, you really have something.
