I always have a great time at this location, the staff are nice, funny and engaging. I came here recently after hearing they do "tail tuesdays" where they have a nice special of steak, a lobster tail, and a choice of two sides. I got my usual 6 oz sirloin, with a loaded baked potato without bacon, and sautéed mushrooms. However, the tail tuesday was only about $10 more than my order, so I will have to try it next time.

I never had a bad day here! Every time I decide to dine in the front house seats me right away and the server attends immediately. My order never came out wrong and the steak was always cooked to my request. The sides were delicious! I enjoyed my sweet potato! Comes with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter. Please note, you can request it on the side. As for the menu, don't forget to check out their specials! Great for couples and families! If you're seeking for a nice casual dinner, this location is super friendly. The lighting is dim but each table has a spotlight to brighten your experience. The reason for a one star down, would be nice if the front house could be upbeat and welcoming. Have a smile.

I was surprised to see such a wild smattering of reviews when I clicked on this location to write mine. My partner and I had a wonderful experience here. All the way from the service, to the ambiance, to the quality of our food and drinks! We said it was one of the best Outback locations we have been to when we got into the car. You can see how delicious my steak looks in the photo! That said, clearly people's experiences vary - maybe depending on the staff? Who knows. But, my partner and I will be returning!

I'm not sure why this has 3 stars, I pickup food from here a lot and always get the same thing. Very grateful they don't use seed oils and instead use beef tallow on the fries, which not a lot of restaurants do The 18oz Ribeye for $35 is an absolute steal and price to value wise, I've yet to see any place do better than that!

Good prices, good food, you know what you are gonna get when you choose to eat at Outback! 1. Pumpernickel bread with butter. Yes. Free. Can't beat it. 2. Blooming onion. Ok...I remember it tasting better, but still good and 10.99. Doesn't break the bank, is the fried app you need. 3. Steak and coconut shrimp entree...I mean....yes. This was $24 for a 6oz steak and 4 delicious shrimp AND a side. Next time I think I'll get the coco shrimp appetizer they were that good. Perfect for big groups and there is free parking in front.

We stopped here last night for dinner, everything was great except by the very end when we sat for about 20 minutes with a pile of plates in between us. I have no complain about food, and service was fine but who is supposed to buss the tables and take the plates? We even piled as best as we could to make it easier but no one took them. Restaurant wasn't busy, they really need to improve on this aspect, it is very annoying to have dirty plates in front of us for such a long period of time.

I ordered the hanger steak and it was cooked perfectly tender, flavorful, and one of the best dishes of the night. The sweet potatoes appetizer was also amazing and had the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. I also tried the Difference Engine cocktail, which had a really nice spicy kick and was super unique and refreshing. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening, which made the experience even better. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, and the overall ambiance was fantastic. My family ordered several steaks and sides, and the food quality seemed to have dropped a lot. The vegetables, honey glazed carrots, and fries were all extremely overcooked and burned -- some parts were literally black. We didn't complain at the table, but it was surprising that the kitchen still served food like that. The NY steak was the biggest disappointment. It was supposed to be a 14 oz steak, but only about half to maybe 3/4 of it was actual lean meat. The rest was tough fat, chewy skin, and parts that were very difficult to eat. Even the steak knife could barely cut through it. The outside of the steak was also burned black like charcoal. It definitely did not feel like the quality we experienced during our previous visits. Really hoping this was just an off night because we used to enjoy coming here.

Recently, Eater DC published a list of what they considered the best steakhouses in the DMV…read more Randy's made the list. We were looking for a place to have our anniversary dinner. After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

We were celebrating an old friend's birthday, so I wanted a special evening. We went to the Signature to see "Safety Not Guaranteed" which was so good and so much fun. Then on to dinner at Carlyle in Shirlington. Carlyle always pumps out some of the most satisfying meals. You are almost guaranteed to love what the kitchen presents you with. This event was no different. I started with the crab & corn chowder. Thick, luxurious, savory perfection! My main course was Jambalaya Pasta which was outstanding. The chicken was moist, the shrimp was perfectly prepared and the andouille sausage added a perfect piquant note. The creamy sauce finished a great dish. There was so much that I could not eat it all (and I usually eat everything that is placed in front of me). But the best - the ABSOLUTE BEST - part of the evening was our perfect server Sebastian. He was professional, friendly, fast, funny, helpful and everything you want in a server. Plus, he did it all with one of the best personalities that I have ever come across in a server. At one point, we were all laughing so hard, that he had to sit down because he was ready to fall over. He served us, yes! But more than that - he ENTERTAINED US!!!! How often has that ever happened to you??? It is a night that I will not soon forget! Sebastian is a smart guy who will no doubt go far in his life. But, for now, for right now, he is at the top of his game at Carlyle! If you love Carlyle, you will absolutely LOVE Sebastian. Please ask to be placed in his station. I promise he will not disappoint you. Thank you, Sebastian, for making my evening wonderful and for making my BFF's birthday dinner a stunning success, thanks to you!!!! We stopped in for lunch before taking some family to the airport, and Copperwood Tavern was perfectly on the way. From the start, things felt easy and relaxed. A few family members ordered the fried green tomatoes. Since they're Southern, they felt the tomatoes could've used a bit more batter--but that critique is very subjective. Flavor-wise, they still enjoyed them. Several of us had the onion soup. It leaned a little on the watery side, but it was still comforting and did its job warming us up on a cold day. My mom ordered the farmer's salad with squash, and that maple mustard vinaigrette? Chef's kiss. The flavors paired beautifully and made the dish shine. A few family members ordered the tavern burger, which was huge--easily enough for two meals. I went with the grilled rosemary chicken, which was flavorful, well-cooked, and very satisfying. We didn't even make it to dessert because everyone was full, which says a lot. The ambiance was very holiday-focused and cozy, service was efficient without being rushed, and parking is metered with a two-hour limit. Overall, a solid stop with comforting food, generous portions, and a warm atmosphere. Copperwood Tavern proves that sometimes the quieter spots are absolutely worth the visit.
