The menu is quite extensive for a diner, and the dishes I ordered were all very well-prepared as ordered. I especially recommend the salmon dinner. No matter the population of the diners, the staff were always friendly and very attentive to my [the customer's] details. The size of the diner might be a tad too big for the crowd, but they manage things very well by closing off unoccupied sections. Brought to our table by a robot straight from the 80's, and a super friendly server -I regret forgetting her name- that made us feel very welcomed, and kept our coffee hot. You'd think after all this time, Denny's could figure out how to serve steak and eggs together -- it's literally the name of the dish. But no. My eggs came out first, sat there getting cold while I waited for the steak to finally arrive. By the time it did, the eggs were ice-cold and had to be sent back. And this isn't even the first time it's happened! It's honestly ridiculous. Does anyone in that kitchen even know how timing works -- or did they all just skip culinary school altogether? Hot food should come out together, not in shifts like a bad breakfast relay race. I came for a solid meal, not to play "guess which part of my order will show up next." At this point, Denny's really needs to retrain their kitchen staff -- or at least teach them what steak and eggs actually means. read more

While Denny's doesn't have a great reputation, I've actually grown to like it. This one was perfectly fine. There's plenty of free parking and my wife and I were seated immediately. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The restaurant was clean and of course the prices aren't bad. The food was actually pretty good so no complaints from me. Knowing it's a Denny's helps. I went with a Crazy Spicy Skillet, which was cooked perfectly and I had enough leftovers for another meal. My wife had a veggie omelette that she enjoyed thoroughly. read more

My friends and I go to the Denny's at 5501 Leesburg Pike, in Falls Church, VA every Saturday or Sunday morning for breakfast. The food is excellent every time - we go knowing it will be. 3.5 stars for an overall a positive diner experience. The service was quick and efficient. We had to put our name down for a wait on Saturday morning but were seated pretty quickly after waiting 5 minutes. I got the grand slam. The pancakes were good but could be flufflier and had a slightly overdone taste to them. The fried eggs were my favorite part. I ordered over medium but the yolk was very runny when it arrived. I didn't mind but if you want a solid yolk, you may want to order over hard. The bacon was not very warm when it arrived but tasted fine. They have cute christmas decor and booth seating. We ordered takeout on Thanksgiving and was amazed how great the easy it was to pickup this meal and how delicious our dinners were.

There's a burrito place inside here called Banda Burrito. Their burritos are always PACKED with the ingredients they say on the menu that'll be in there. The burritos are hefty. The Chips and Nachos are good too. Chips are crispy but not burnt, the nachos have the usual peppers but it's not as heavily spicy as others I've tried, it's simply just your regular salsa con queso. Banda Burritos is one of my go-to take-out places on DoorDash, I order from them at least once a month For the amount of money they charge you and how much food you get with the combos, it's definitely worth it. I'm not sure why it never pops up on searches on Maps but it's inside Denny's and it's definitely worth the try! read more

12/17/23 David Menashi once asked "how's the pasta?" This was back at The Gow School Summer Program in 1993.  Well Mr. Menashi, I can honestly say "it's magnificent" or better yet  "é magnífico."   Yesterday, I was looking at the Double Blue Berry Pancakes, but decided I wanted Meat Lasagna.   The Denny's Lasagna is a fairly new item added to the menu, but it is worth the 20 minute wait for it. This delicious meal starts at 11am and continues to 11pm.  Guess the oven needs to be cleaned up at some point in time. Enrique, our server was right on point with what was going on in the very busy restaurant. I got good vibes from him and so did my wife. We also learned that David stepped down from being the store manager.   He has been in the  managerial role for 15 years. It was strange to see him as a server, but he seemed a lot happier  and less stressed. This experience has been a tremendous improvement.   Our last experience wasn't so good.  I am happy things are back to bing crazy busy at Falls Church Denny's.   We will be back again on a weekend. read more

We stopped in for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. We had celebrated the holiday with some friends earlier in the week, but I was saying that I still wanted to have a "traditional" Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day. So, I decided to order their turkey dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that the turkey breast was nice and moist with a creamy gravy on top. The stuffing underneath was nice and flavorful. And you have to have the "can" of berry sauce. I actually enjoyed it all. It was pretty good, and sometimes good is just good enough. Additionally, our server was friendly and attentive. read more

This was my second visit to this location with a coworker. I really enjoy stopping here for breakfast when in the area. The service is decent and quick and the food is consistent. I ordered one of the breakfast platters that comes with eggs, multiple meats, potatoes and pancakes. I added chocolate chips to my pancakes. I also had an apple juice. My partner had an iced tea and eggs benedict which he really enjoyed. We aren't in this area very often but when we are again we will definitely stop at this Denny's. read more

I must say, this Denny's surprised me. My husband loves Denny's, so I've dutifully eaten at several across the country even though there's usually a faint odor greasy spoon and despair. But this one is by far my favorite because it challenged my opinion of the establishment as a whole. We were greeted and quickly seated by the host. Our server, Enrique, appeared at our table shortly after to get our drink order and promptly took our food order upon returning. Our food was delivered to our table with care. It was hot and professionally presented. The fruit cup did not have over ripe pieces hidden in the bottom the way so many other locations have done. The coffee was quickly refilled. And the bacon was cooked perfectly and not, I repeat, not greasy! I ate all of my food! The ambiance is extremely pleasant. The location is immaculately clean, spacious, and there's smooth jazz playing! I couldn't stop smiling at my surprise. My husband won't get the stank for suggesting this Denny's for breakfast! I go there and order steak and eggs. I order medium rare. 50% of the time it comes back either well done or medium well at best. And it feels like they could care less. The manager tried to convince me that it was medium rare. Then she tried to convince me I ordered medium well. I'm a freaking cook. So I'm a big fan of the Dennys franchise, lifelong customer, but this place just misses at basically every turn and is probably one of the bottom 3 Dennys over ever been too. First off it took forever to get service and then throughout eating was next to impossible to get any help. Im actually currently writing this review 25 minutes after getting food with not a single person checking on us and ten minutes after mentioning to the manager that we're ready for the check. Still haven't gotten the check so TBD on how long that takes. Food was fine but they messed up our order in three separate ways. They did fix it but still not great. Also the manager was like talking across the restaurant a lot which I've never seen it was just super off putting. I'd say drive 3 more miles to the next closest Dennys. 1.6/5 Also there are is a robot here that servers some people food and honestly I don't know how to feel about it. It's been over 20 years since the last time I visited a Denny's; not because I had anything against them, there was just not one conveniently located to where I lived or worked. Fast forward to 2019 and one just opened up close to where I live. Stopped by for at 11;30 on a Tuesday morning for late breakfast, the restaurant was bright shiny and new, staff was friendly there are some parking spaces reserved for Denny's patrons. The hot chocolate with a dollop of whip cream on top was delicious and definitely the best thing I had. I selected the build your own slam, grits were terrible, even after adding salt pepper and hot sauce they were not good, microwave grits out of the bag are better than what Denny's prepared. Hash browns were good, perfectly cooked with nice crunch, country sausage was not worth the uncharge and the bacon was meh. Prices were very reasonable, service was quick. Overall I had an ok experience, will return for quick reasonable priced breakfast on days I do not feel like making it myself or just want a quick meal close to home. read more

However after party of 6 ordered different dishes food came out so late and appetizer served after meal. 5 Stars for exceeding expectations of this level of restaurant. RESTAURANT: Been here a couple times now and have to say that this Denny's is an exception to most. Most Denny's are poorly lit, closed off with a lot of walls; your typical trucker joint. However, THIS Dennys is open concept, well lit and clean! You can see the kitchen area which is nice because you can see they aren't goofing off and are keeping things clean and appropriate. Tables are clean, not sticky like most Denny's and IHOPS. Seats could use some extra attention though. Parking sucks but nothing the restaurant can do about that. SERVICE: The service is not typical Denny's as it is more towards a high end Michelin restaurant the way they are organized. There are wait staff, bussers, cooks, and Expediters. All are good, but the wait staff don't check on their tables enough; you only see them at order and when they bring the check. STAFF: The one thing I will mention specifically about this Dennys is the manager. The Manager is VERY good at what he does. You'll meet him upon entering as he is tracking who comes and goes, taking names for seating and taking payments for out going customers. While he's doing that, he's watching the entire restaurant and staff to check for open tables, potential problems, and any customers in need. Example, he saw me casually looking around from my table for my waitress so I could get a condiment, came over and asked if I needed anything and got it for me right away! He is very attentive to his restaurant and multitasks very well with great attention to detail! I hope this manager never leaves as I fear the place might go downhill if he does. There's a previous review saying how rude he is, but I have not seen him yell at anyone or do anything inappropriate. He does guide his staff and raises his voice sometimes just because he's talking across the restaurant but nothing that shouldn't be done. Most restaurants like this NEED a manager like him who takes charge. My only recommendation for improvement is better waitstaff training so that the manager is not having to run around so much doing their job. FOOD: Food is typical Dennys; good portions for your money and substitutions as needed. The Super-Slam is back! So make sure to ask for it as it's not on the menu. read more

We just got a DoorDash order of food from here and I tell you what if it's not the most inedible thing I have ever seen in my life! $80 for 3 people is ridiculous! You get pancakes no syrup, no butter absolutely drier the Sahara desert. The eggs taste like gasoline and burnt rubber. The chicken tenders don't even think about it, tastes like scraps scraped from the bottom of the oil with no dipping sauce. If you get a side of hash browns the top looks good just don't flip it over, completely uncooked white hashbrowns. We will absolutely never ever eat here again! read more
