I always have a great time at this location, the staff are nice, funny and engaging. I came here recently after hearing they do "tail tuesdays" where they have a nice special of steak, a lobster tail, and a choice of two sides. I got my usual 6 oz sirloin, with a loaded baked potato without bacon, and sautéed mushrooms. However, the tail tuesday was only about $10 more than my order, so I will have to try it next time.

I never had a bad day here! Every time I decide to dine in the front house seats me right away and the server attends immediately. My order never came out wrong and the steak was always cooked to my request. The sides were delicious! I enjoyed my sweet potato! Comes with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter. Please note, you can request it on the side. As for the menu, don't forget to check out their specials! Great for couples and families! If you're seeking for a nice casual dinner, this location is super friendly. The lighting is dim but each table has a spotlight to brighten your experience. The reason for a one star down, would be nice if the front house could be upbeat and welcoming. Have a smile.

I was surprised to see such a wild smattering of reviews when I clicked on this location to write mine. My partner and I had a wonderful experience here. All the way from the service, to the ambiance, to the quality of our food and drinks! We said it was one of the best Outback locations we have been to when we got into the car. You can see how delicious my steak looks in the photo! That said, clearly people's experiences vary - maybe depending on the staff? Who knows. But, my partner and I will be returning!

I'm not sure why this has 3 stars, I pickup food from here a lot and always get the same thing. Very grateful they don't use seed oils and instead use beef tallow on the fries, which not a lot of restaurants do The 18oz Ribeye for $35 is an absolute steal and price to value wise, I've yet to see any place do better than that!

Good prices, good food, you know what you are gonna get when you choose to eat at Outback! 1. Pumpernickel bread with butter. Yes. Free. Can't beat it. 2. Blooming onion. Ok...I remember it tasting better, but still good and 10.99. Doesn't break the bank, is the fried app you need. 3. Steak and coconut shrimp entree...I mean....yes. This was $24 for a 6oz steak and 4 delicious shrimp AND a side. Next time I think I'll get the coco shrimp appetizer they were that good. Perfect for big groups and there is free parking in front.

We stopped here last night for dinner, everything was great except by the very end when we sat for about 20 minutes with a pile of plates in between us. I have no complain about food, and service was fine but who is supposed to buss the tables and take the plates? We even piled as best as we could to make it easier but no one took them. Restaurant wasn't busy, they really need to improve on this aspect, it is very annoying to have dirty plates in front of us for such a long period of time.

Haven't been to Outback in years and decided to try it out with my boyfriend today. Wasn't really expect much since the last time I went was pretty bad. We got seated fairly quick and upon seating I stepped on a chunk of steak that was on the floor. It was pretty disgusting so I asked the waiter if he could get someone to take care of that. He decided to pick it up with his bare hands. Pretty unsanitary in my opinion? Anyways, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and hoped he washed his hands after. We weren't in the mood for steak so we went with the Aussie fries and the chicken wings. To my surprise, the chicken wings were amazing! They were super flavorful, you can see the seasoning on the skin. It was quite small, but very delicious nonetheless! The aussie fries were just alright. I think they could have used a bit more seasoning, however, dipped in the homemade ranch made it way better! For dessert we tried the new thunder and lightning. It was essentially a pecan brownie with a butter cake and icecream on top. The presentation was disappointing. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu, the butter cake was smaller and the whip cream was on the side. The brownie was a bit underwhelming but the butter cake tasted really good! It was a bit dense but other than that it tasted great. Overall, I would def come back for the aussie fries and chicken wings. I feel like people only look to get the steak here but the other options are just as good!

The boys!

The restaurant was clean, bright, airy, and vibrant, with a trendy atmosphere that we absolutely loved. We started with the cornbread, which had a lovely texture, somewhere between traditional coarse cornbread and a sweeter version. It was tender, delicately baked, and served with delicious butter. I ordered the three-egg omelet, accompanied by a beautiful, fragrant, and refreshing arugula salad that I thoroughly enjoyed. The eggs tasted farm-fresh. My mate enjoyed a full breakfast of beef sausage, bacon, potatoes, over-easy eggs, and a biscuit. The coffee was hot and delicious, and my hot matcha was equally enjoyable. One small tip: specialty drinks ordered from the drink bar may take a little longer to arrive at your table, so keep that in mind. Our server was excellent, and the overall experience was wonderful. We were happy to leave a 25% tip for the great service. Between the delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive staff, this was an thoroughly enjoyable breakfast. We loved it and would gladly return!

High coffered ceilings, rich wall coverings, art nouveau posters, Accessibility may be a little confusing -- there is a long set of stairs at the entrance, but there is an elevator outside and through a neighboring door. There are other elevators to take guests up to the mezzanine level. Food was flavorful and well portioned. While I may have had a better entree somewhere else, we had amazing service (granted we were some of the first ones there for lunch service) and when my dining companion didn't like her cocktail it was whisked away and replaced with something she'd enjoy better. The prix fixe menu made our lunch very financially approachable and I think this would be an amazing spot to bring your out of town family and friends. I also think it's worth mentioning the gorgeous gender inclusive bathroom -- one large bathroom enclosing many stalls each with substantial full length wooden doors, and communal sinks and mirrors. Maybe not a spot for neighborhood regulars, but a nice destination for a fun evening out for a date or out of the way dinner.

Five Stars - Outstanding Food, Exceptional Service, and an Unforgettable Experience!…read more We recently visited The Salt Line Oyster + Ale Restaurant to celebrate my little sister's birthday, and I must say, they did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. Let's start with the food--AMAZING! Our table enjoyed the Pimento Crab Dip, Stuffies, Fried Calamari, Smash Burger, Waterman's Platter, Seared Scallops, and Portuguese Stew. Every dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. It was clear that the kitchen takes great pride in what it serves. But as wonderful as the food was, the service was even better! Our server, Chante, took exceptional care of us throughout the evening. Her professionalism, warmth, attentiveness, and genuine commitment to ensuring we had a wonderful experience truly stood out. The rest of the staff was equally welcoming and attentive, making our family celebration even more special. What impressed me even more was meeting General Manager Matthew Joseph. His personal engagement and attention to detail reinforced something I have always believed: exceptional customer service doesn't happen by accident--it starts with leadership and a culture of excellence. Matthew and his team clearly understand that. As a former senior executive and business owner, I especially appreciate organizations where leadership, teamwork, and outstanding customer service come together to create a memorable experience. The Salt Line delivered on all three! Thank you, Chante, Matthew, and the entire Salt Line team, for helping make my little sister's birthday celebration so special. You have certainly earned our loyalty. The Salt Line will become one of our go-to destinations for entertaining family, friends, and business associates. Five stars without hesitation! We look forward to returning soon!

I always seek out seafood when eating out. The Salt Line did not disappoint…read more It was restaurant week, which I am not a fan. So, I ordered the regular Arctic char from the regular menu and my friend ordered the special menu for restaurant week. His gazpacho was the best I ever tasted! I believe it even had chunks of shrimp in it with scallions on top that added a nice crunch. Sadly, it's not on the regular menu. He too got the Arctic Char for his entree. The Arctic Char was delicious and the grains underneath with vegetables was yummy. There were small dollops of a wonderful mayonnaise type sauce that was perfect! I would definitely order that again. (The Arctic chart that came with the restaurant week menu was clearly smaller than my regular menu item. This is why I don't care for restaurant week. This is not a slight against the restaurant, all restaurants do this.) I asked for bread and they brought out some yummy Parker rolls baked in a little skillet with old bay butter. They were piping hot and just perfectly fluffy on the inside. They charge six dollars for it. This is a minor issue-- I probably wouldn't charge more than five dollars. Most restaurants don't offer bread at all anymore and if they do--they charge. They really should mention that they charge for the bread when customers asked for it. My friend chose strawberry ice cream for his dessert included in the restaurant week menu. It was just okay, but what can you expect? It was just ice cream. I ordered a wonderful special bourbon old-fashioned--it was delicious. He got a beer which was quite pricey at $13 for a beer. That seems a bit high. We had a wonderful waitress. Her name is Chante. She was delightful and added to our great experience. We sat outside under the cover because it was such a beautiful night we wanted to eat outside. The bar was really hopping and loud. The restaurant decor is very cute with a French bistro style. This restaurant is close to the Ballston Mall. If you can't find street parking, which is usually tight, just go into the mall garage. I will definitely be going back.
