I've been coming to All About Burger frequently for the past five years. It's never been busy when I show up. All About Burger isn't getting the loving it deserves. I miss the days of the great ZBurger / All About Burger. This used to be our go to local burger place. We went this week and it was really disappointing. Prices are up significantly, but the burgers seemed thinner. They were overcooked. We got bacon on multiple burgers, and all of it was nearly burnt. Everything was made right, no mistakes. I think my only feedback here would be if they would make the lettuce wrapped to look like the one with a bun. Man amazing how a few changes can really take a place down... I used to love this place because it had a wider selection and was cheaper than Five Guys, but they did two big things to totally change that calculus. First, they raised there prices. Not uncommon these days, but when you are now charging as much as Five Guys you lose a big reason I went here. Second, (and most damningly) they only let you have three toppings before charging extra. This includes condiments like Ketchup! I was stunned at this. Now you can't get even a burger with some of the most basic combos. Seriously if McDonald's can give me a burger with simple toppings and not charge me extra you can too. We had a good experience at All About Burger. We dropped in on a Friday night around 8pm. It wasn't too busy inside, but they were fulfilling a couple online orders. The food came out quickly and it was warm. It was even warm when we brought it home! The restaurant itself was very clean and you could tell they had a good operation in the kitchen. It was the perfect amount of steak and cheese. Definitely add peppers and onions to it because they were fresh and delicious. My fiancé ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and he was happy with it. Pretty disappointed with the experience overall. I ordered a grilled cheese with a bunch of toppings that was actually pretty decent, but they left off the sauerkraut I ordered. When I went back, they gave me a very small side of it and I noticed it was pretty darn dry for sauerkraut... My friend ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which apparently was bland, and also a turkey burger which tasted weird (low quality turkey) and was very greasy (dripping??) and took significantly longer than the rest of the food to make. This used to be Z Burger; I asked them, and they said there was a licensing issue and had to change the name of all the locations. I only came to this location one time when I lived in Arlington and was coming from Fairfax County for work travel there. It was Election Day 2016. I remember because people were wearing I Voted stickers, and they were talking about who they thought would become the 45th President; suffice it to say many of the people having those conversations were disappointed (an understatement) that night. On Election Day, they were running a $2 burger day that day only. That was a significant savings over the regular price. I had been to the location in SW Waterfront DC a few times when I used to go over to that area for work travel. So, I was already familiar with the style. It's like Five Guys, but frankly, I think All About Burger is a little better. I got a single burger & fries, which is still a good amount of food. The service was a little slow. Topped with sautéed onions and mushrooms is my preferred way to do it. Cajun fries were skin on with a ton of old bay. If you prefer a more subtle sprinkling, you'll probably want to mention that.
