What's not to like about Five Guys?! Greasy burger joint done well. I was immediately greeted by a happy, helpful young man, who took my order. The restaurant was clean and well lit with lots of light. The wait time for my bacon cheeseburger was not long and it was served up nice and hot. I'm not a huge fan of their fries, cause I find them too soggy for my taste. But, they do well added to the burger, which is what I did. I ordered a single bacon cheeseburger, and they gave me a double patty! It was very filling for me. I never order double patties, but I managed to eat it and was kind of sad I did!! Lol! It was tasty tho! I haven't had a greasy burger for years, so I committed myself to enjoy it...and I did! Five stars, for Five Guys! ***I didn't see any peanuts, though, which made me sad. They had big bags of them, but none out for scooping. It was probably good I didn't eat any, or else I'd have been even more stuffed than I was without them!! An American staple, five guys is one of the first places that pops into my mind whenever I have a craving for burgers and fries. I got the classic Hamburger all the way, with a small order of Cajun fries. I ended up with less fries than I'm used to (probably good for my health), but every bite was well worth the short walk through the cold. A good strategy is probably to order ahead of time for pickup as each meal is made to order as fresh as can be, and as a result might take a little bit longer than some other fast food chains. Staff is great, generous, and friendly. The location has room for sitting and plenty of space to wait for your order. My burger was exactly what I wanted and I will happily drift off into my five guys induced food coma to round out the weekend. read more

This location never lets me down! The burgers and fries are always excellent. I have been here several times and my food is consistently good. And to top it off the staff is always friendly and quick which is much appreciated! I know if I place my order online it will be ready when I arrive and it will be correct! I've never sat down but whenever I stop in there's always other patrons enjoying their meals and sometimes engaging with the staff so it seems they share my Hugh remarks! If you're in the mood for a good burger - stop in this Five Guys! Only downside - sometimes parking to run in Quickly is challenging so plan an extra minute or two for navigating parking to quickly stop in (fries are usually made fresh so you have to hang around for a minute or two). read more

This is a go to when I'm entertaining my children and their friends. I still can't believe that I spend almost $80 for burgers and fries . Despite this being a little pricier than I'd like for fast food, it's pretty consistent when it comes to quality. I've visited several locations and some even in different states. The one location that I'd like to highlight is in Virginia near the AMC Courthouse Movie theater. This location has been consistently good the last 3-5 times that we've had it. Five guys is and has always been consistently good and expensive. I like five guys because you're able to customize your burger with an array of toppings and condiments. The amount of food you get is worth the prices especially since now a days lunch will cost you around 20 dollars at most mainstream fast casual restaurants. I typically get a cheeseburger with jalapeños, onions, mushrooms lettuce and mayo. The regular burger or cheese burger comes with two patties cooked to medium well to well done perfection. If that's too much for you, it's okay they have the little burger which is smaller and less intimidating. The also have regular and Cajun fries. The Cajun fries are good but in the saltier side. The flavor has a nice kick and really adds to it. The regular size fries is clearly enough for two people or for the brave individuals. Also they offer keto option which means few to no carbs. It's called the burger bowl and it's pretty amazing. A lot of people like to compare shake shack and five guys. Which you shouldn't because shake shack could never (I'm only kidding, maybe). I like shake shack but they were much better before they started to sprout everywhere. But the choice is simple if you want to be able to customize your burger without extra cost -five guys. But if you want choose between different craft burgers a long with a very good vegetarian burger then shack shake is your best bet. Both cost around the same price. Yeah five guys is little (a lot) greasy but it still taste great. Anyways the choose is yours, I'm going to still rock with five guys because I've been there the longest, I get more food for my money and I love customizing my burger (bye bye arteries). read more

It's Thursday, the weekend is approaching, it's time to celebrate with some delicious unforgivingly tasty Uber Eats! Five Guys is just the place for that! I ordered two Little Cheeseburgers and a Little Cajun Fry. The great thing about Five Guys is the multitude of toppings to select from. There are lots of traditional toppings like ketchup, lettuce, tomato etc., and then the option of grilled or fresh for veggie toppings like onions and jalapeños. My boyfriend and I each ordered our burgers to our liking. Our order came on time and at a good temperature. I believe that shows the restaurant is efficient and caring. For example, I really appreciated that my meal was delivered double bagged. The outside bag had the receipt stapled to it and the inside bag that the food was in, was sealed with a Five Guys red sticker. That was so great to receive given COVID. The restaurant taking the time and resources to double bag and seal my food so it could get from them via the delivery man to me safely was a great care of caution that I appreciated. Once I opened the sealed bag my Cajun Fries were spilling into the bag outside of the cup just like I like to see. They always make sure you get a great amount of fries. The Cajun seasoning on the fries was delicious! The burgers were wrapped in foil, one burger was labeled with a number so we could tell what burger was what. There was no need to open and check to see whose burger is whose. Love that! The burgers were a great portion size to be labeled "little". My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our burgers. So, this is a good Five Guys location! I definitely recommend it. Of course, being in Virginia. I'd expect this location to do the brand justice and it certainly does. I definitely love the burgers here, and I always have. This restaurant chain has to have had twenty years in business, because I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. Way back when they used to offer free peanuts, and people would peel them and just leave the shells on the floor all over the place. Those were the days when 2000+ calories in one sitting wasn't such a big deal, it was all about the taste! Even better were the prices! I figured that I would roll on in here and break the rules today. I went for the regular cheeseburger, medium fries, and regular fountain drink. The don't have combo meals here, so I bought each one of those separately. It came to around $21.00 and the burger and fries were definitely worth it- at today's prices. This store is close to the metro, and there is enough space to accommodate even the largest crowd. I loved the late lunch and I'm trying not to like it too much! read more

The burgers are big and messy. They aren't amazing by any means just a solid burger when you have a craving. Fries come in huge portions - I can only get them if there are people to share with. The best is that when you spend your time dragging it back to be re-made, they don't even apologize for the error and extreme inconvenience and then the rest of the food of the order is COLD when you get home with the item that had to be re-made. For god's sake, at least apologize for the inconvenience. And what about a credit for the rest of the food that now sucks due to their incompetence!!!!!! read more

Before last night, it had been at least 5 years, probably more, since I had eaten at a Five Guys location. Looking for a quick meal before a movie at the AMC around the corner, my husband and I ended up at Five Guys since we have tried just about every other restaurant in the area. We came before our 6:30pm movie around 6pm and were able to walk right up to the counter to order. Our total for 2 burgers and a small fry came to just under $20, which is super reasonable for fast casual. Our food was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. My husband had a cheeseburger and I had a little hamburger. We split a small cajun fry. The hand-cut fries were definitely the highlight of the meal, and I loved the abundance of cajun seasoning. I wish they offered hot sauce for dipping the fries.The burgers were juicy and satisfying. My burger had grilled onions, hot sauce, pickles, mustard, and jalapenos-definitely a spicy burger! I like that all of the toppings are free too. The buns are soft and are sizable enough to contain the large burger patties. The "little" size is just about your average burger while the "regular" sizes are pretty massive. The free peanuts for munching, a trademark of Five Guys, is a nice treat pre-meal. We had no problem making our 6:30pm movie, so I would definitely recommend Five Guys as an option if you are in need of a quick, inexpensive, yet tasty burger and fry combo. read more

I stop by every once in a while for lunch while in downtown Arlington. The service is great -- nice and quick, which is perfect for the professional crowd stopping in for a quick bite. Cashiers and service-folk are always friendly and welcoming. The quality of the food I've received has always been top notch. The burgers are cooked to order so they're piping hot. I love Five Guys but I was disappointed by this location. I ordered a burger and large cajun fries to go but when I opened it at home, the the amount of fries they gave me was disappointing. They didn't even fill the large cup and the fries weren't fresh. Five Guys is known for their fresh fries that they overload but the fact that they didn't even give me the amount that they were supposed to give me made me not want to go back to this location. General Five Guys feedback- love their burgers! FYI THERE ARE PEANUTS EVERYWHERE (for those who are allergic). I get a mini cheeseburger, all in with jalapeño peppers. If you're new, the "mini" burgers have one patty and "regular" size have two patties. You can customize the topping that you want to add when you're ordering. For fries, they usually give you more than what you order and you can ask for cajun fries (fries mixed with old bay type of sauce). When you're waiting for your food, you can snack on peanuts that they have, usually in the middle of the restaurant. This location doesn't have the best parking spots but you can park near it in the street! read more

I'm so glad that Five Guys finally offers a "little" size for their fries because that regular order was enough food for 2-3 people and I always felt bad wasting them. My burger was cooked just the way I like it, and it was hot, juicy and delicious even after the trek back to my office in the freezing cold. Ditto for the fries. I thought they would be cold by the time I got back to my office, but they were just fine. The cashier seemed like she wanted to be elsewhere that day (she wasn't rude, she just had no enthusiasm or sense of urgency), but the guy who gave me my food was just as pleasant as could be, which I really appreciated. There's another burger joint closer to my office, but the food at Five Guys is much better... so much so that I trekked in windy, bitterly cold 20 degree weather to get my fix. We walked in and there was no line. We ordered our burgers, and it took about five minutes to get them. This is standard for Five Guys. Pros - Friendly customer service, including the cashier and the person giving me my order at the other end of the counter. -Always pretty affordable. -You get a "little" fry and they give you a MASSIVE amount. -Peanuts. Cons - Service was noticeably slow at this location - they seemed a bit understaffed. -It was hot as hell inside. -Cajun fries weren't seasoned enough. -Cheese wasn't even melted on my burger - the fries and cheese problem might be related to the small staff rushing. Strolled in here, ordered a cheeseburger with everything on it but mayo (if I want a fatty condiment, I'll choose one that has good taste thanks). $4.79 for just a burger. That, my friends, is definitely not like in-n-out, where I would could get a combo for about that much. Waited and waited, and thought, "Ok, so 5 guys is pricier, and is a lot slower than in-n-out. This burger better not be like in-n-out or this is the most over-hyped place ever." Finally got my order, pulled the burger out of the bag. Well it definitely was bigger than in-n-out, so started getting a little excited. Unwrapped it. Looked like it was so big due to a ton of toppings. so basically I was paying a lot more money for an in-n-out burger with more crap on it? W-T-F? But then I took a bite of it. And another. and another. And then I realized that 5 guys burgers are a hell of a lot better than in-n-out. Why? More, juicer meat. Bigger range of toppings too. Overall, a pretty stellar burger. So 5 guys, we meet again--2 years later on the east coast once again. Although there are more branches popping up on the west coast, I only eat it here. I ordered the little cheeseburger and regular sized Cajun fries. The cheeseburger was okay. I liked how you could add unlimited amount of toppings, especially the not-so-conventional ones like A1 steak sauce. The sauce in the cheeseburger was not my cup of tea; it was on the sweet side. Also, the buns did not have that toasty crunch. My favorite part of the meal was the seasoning of the Cajun fries. However, the fries lacked that crunch too! Boy, was I missing my crunch today! They do give a lot of fries to accompany your meal. However, holding that brown paper bag weighs down your conscience. You see just how OILY those fries are & you can easily smell the potent aroma of the fries, especially when you tote said items in the metrorail. The service here was quite fast. Mind you, the only customers were all guys except for me. Before you ask, yes, there happened to be around 5 guys when I noticed that I was the only girl customer. They could improve on their cleanliness--there were a couple empty straw wrappers on the floor near the soda machines. Some of the tables also needed to be wiped down. Been coming to Five Guys since they opened their old location off King St. (which has been closed for a while). The quality has remained consistent throughout all these years. Since having moved to Arlington, the Wilson Blvd location is my flagship restaurant. Restaurant has a pretty decent size dining area with bar stools lined up against the windows and boxes of free peanuts by the counters. SELECTION: I've only eaten the burger and fries so I can't comment on their other offerings like hot dogs. But the burgers are great because the ingredients are good quality and fresh. The buns are made fresh daily and you can tell when you bite into it. I always buy the little cheeseburger, which is pictured below with the fries. The regular one us too much for me, but the little version is just right. The variety of toppings they offer is a nice long list which even includes mushrooms, grilled onions, and A1 sauce. The fries are fried in peanut oil which give them an unbeatable crispy texture. They also offer malt vinegar, which is way superior to just regular vinegar some other places offer. PAYMENT: Cash or credit. Prices are reasonable with little cheeseburgers coming in at $5.59 and bacon cheeseburgers at $8.39, and small order of fries for $2.99. There's alot of competition in the burger joint industry, but if you just want a classic American no frills burger, this joint is for you. read more
