I've had a Korean hot dog before, and it was honestly mediocre. However, I wanted to give it another try, and I'm glad I did. I ordered from Kong Dong since it was close by, and got a half-mozzarella/half-beef dog covered in potatoes, and I also got the spaghetti dog which was fully beef. Both of them were pretty good, and I realized that I prefer the beef dogs over the mozzarella dogs since the mozzarella doesn't have a whole lot of flavor. It's a little excessive that you don't get at least one dipping sauce free with your dog purchase. I had to pay 55 cents for a honey mustard and also a spicy chile, both of which added unique and tasty enhancement to each bite. One important thing however is to make sure that they pay attention to what you order. We were given a choice of different dog options, beef, pork, chicken, and I'm pretty sure we said either beef or chicken and then when we bit into it, we got pork. Considering that you don't know what's under the bread until you go for it, that could be a pretty huge problem for a lot of people. The original I did half cheese and have beef dog and it pair quite well. I added some ketchup it was a bit bland but I would come back. The menu choices are nice. There are about 8 different choices and you can choose the fillings whether you want sausage or cheese or both. They have different sauces to compliment the dog. The inside of the corn dog have 4 options- chicken sausage, beef sausage, mozzarella cheese, or half cheese half meat of your choice. The original kong with chicken has me hooked. Everyone was very nice and friendly, however, there were some delays with the orders, but I'm sure they will work out the service flow. I ordered the potato dog and the original dog, half cheese, half hotdog for both. They were crispy and had a good flavor. If you require condiments, make sure that you ask for them as they are not readily available on the counter. Im gonna start with all the good that I have to say about Kong Dog. I fell in love with this chain when they previously had a location near my home in Maryland. That location was since rebranded but I was pleasantly surprised to discover a mall I frequent for work had opened one soon after. I make a point to visit almost everytime I work at this mall. Food always hot and made to order, service isn't the best I've had but honestly not horrible. Ambiance is a little wonky as it's in the corner of the food court. But over all I really like the Kong Dogs, Krazy Fries, and different beverages they offer but I don't foresee me continuing to be a frequent Kong Dog flyer. The prices have increased astronomically over the time I've been visiting. There is no reason a Korn Dog and Fries is $18 with no drink. They upcharge for all cheese and everything else. Kong Dog! Wow, extremely disappointed in the customer service! Traveled from DC to try their corn dogs and when I went to pay with their Kiosk it took $15.00 of my $16.21 order. When I tried to pay the remaining $1.21 the machine glitched out and tried to charge me the full amount. When I showed the employees, MANAGER INCLUDED, they tried to make me pay the full amount again because a receipt did not print, but I showed them multiple times that it did indeed go through. They saw the money went through, but still proceeded to blame me for using the kiosk rather than the manned register and even suggested I come back if a refund went through. Found this place after coming across a TikTok video that they've recently opened. I went on a Saturday afternoon and got 2 corn dogs: potato and hot Cheetos corn dog. The wait wasn't too long (about 6-8min) but keep in mind that it's because they start cooking once they receive the order to keep the food fresh.
