This is a great Shake Shack. Maro was very courteous when taking our order. All our food came out correctly, quickly, and hot/fresh. The fries were a great crispiness and the burgers were very tasty! It is located outside the mall by the Metro entrance. It has a plenty of seating that isn't crowded. read more

I'm sorry Shake Shack friends, I just don't get the hype. The burger was...fine. The crinkle cut fries were okay, not quite as crispy as I like them though. In fairness, the ingredients on the burger were fresh, I was impressed with the tomatoes in particular. Always a good sign when a fast food place takes their produce seriously. This location has self-order kiosks that were straightforward, no issues going from the front door to a burger in my stomach. Clearly a well-run operation. If you're a Shake Shack fan you'll probably like this location. If you're a burger fan, why not treat yourself to something more unique in the DC/Nova area? read more

Ordered a last minute dinner through Uber eats. Food was pretty average, fries were cold but the Oreo shake was really tasty. Food came quickly (20 minutes) so that was convenient. I've been to this location before and it's pretty nice. It's clean, but just a casual fast food place. read more

Location is close to METRO. Very nice interior compared to other locations. Food quality was from just ok to very good (burger was great, fries were just so-so and pricy). Service was attentive and good, only issue was food took awhile considering they were not busy. I'll give them four stats on the burger quality, and its hard to get a satisfying burger these days. However, three stars may represent the entire experience. read more

I received a free shackburger as part of a TMobile Tuesday deal, so I could not resist. My past experiences with Shake Shack have been decent and the food is pretty high quality for a burger joint. I placed an order on the app, got my free deal, and also ordered a second shackburger with a lettuce wrap with a side of shack sauce. Service seemed to ignore me upon entry unless I asked them about my order which I didn't really like. The interior seemed pretty packed for a Thursday evening. Since it was takeout, the lettuce bun did get a little soggy, but the burger was a solid 5/5 -- cooked and seasoned very well! The sauce was a downer... it just tasted like Mayo? Wasn't sure if I was to expect any other flavor along with Mayo. Not sure if I would give this location another chance unless if I was *really* craving a shackburger due to the service and lack of parking. read more

I think the menu behind Shake Shack is always elevated compared to your other fast-burger joints so the flavors will always be there. The taste of thier speciality Black Truffle burger series was good, but needed more sauce to emphasize this is not just their regular burger with a different sauce. Our burger came hanging off the tray and a bit messy, so in restaurant presentation wasn't the best but it's a burger we ate nonetheless. read more

Shack shack at pentagon is always fresh every time I went the chicken sandwich is what I'm going to recommend with fries

Customer service was marginal...when I placed my order, there was no, "Good evening, welcome to Shake Shack, what can we make fresh for you today?" - but at least my order was ready quickly. I only ordered a double cheeseburger and shake and it was $18. Then I asked for lettuce and they must have given me the smallest piece possible. They also didn't fill my shake to the top. At least it's close to my hotel and the food tasted good. read more

Having it for the first time I use the self kiosk for a to go order. Not good not bad just okay. It a Little expensive for a burger and fries despite I got no drink or shake with it. This had been my preferred location for the last couple of months. I get the same order every time. The only shake that I like anywhere is the black and white shake at Shake shack. Unfortunately, today, I paid for one and did not receive any. Because they tried to convince me that a cookies and cream shake was the black-and-white. As if it was my first time trying it and I would not be able to see the pieces of cookie inside. The young man tried to convince me that those were actually pieces of fudge when the shake was obviously a cookies and cream shake. I have ordered them for my children before, I know what they look like. He then said if I didn't want that they could give me a chocolate shake. If you've ever had a properly made black-and-white shake, you know it is not the same as chocolate. And at this point, I didn't trust them to safely make anything for me again. They had obviously either made the wrong shake, or given my shake to someone who had ordered the cookies and cream. They're unwillingness to remake a five dollar shake. And their insistent dishonesty, lost them a regular customer. Now I need new favorite location. Ah well. The burgers are pretty good. So if you don't care about honesty or actually getting what you've ordered, give it a try. read more

Good spot to grab lunch on the way to a work meeting. Actually caught it at the right time just past the lunch rush. Parking is abundant in and around Pentagon City mall and the adjacent streets. This is a very trendy restaurant. They have a large dinning area and patio. This location is right in front of the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City Mall and has close Metro access and a nearby parking garage. Do not park in the front of the mall because they will tow you. I saw it happen while I was there. The dinning area is socially distanced and has a few televisions to watch I ordered the Smoke Shack Burger with fries. I ordered a blackberry lemonade to wash it down. It took a while to get my food, so I would recommend call your order ahead to cut down on the wait time. My burger was delicious. It was juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend it. The fries were good too. Well seasoned. The blackberry lemonade was watered down and did not have much flavor. I will not get that again. All and all this was a nice spot. It was a change of pace from your typical fast food joint. They have some good food, be it a bit higher than other fast food joints. This is definitely a place worth checking out. read more

Decent fast food burger place. You place your order on a kiosk service, take a number and it's delivered to your table pretty quickly. It's kind of pricey, but satisfactory. I spent 20 bucks for a Shack burger (their basic burger), crinkle cut fries and a milkshake. The burger was tasty, seasoned well, but thin. However, it was still cooked medium well (some pink) so that was nice. It comes on a soft toasted bun with lettuce, tomatoes and shack sauce. I opted for the shack sauce on the side. You also have the option to add toppings like avocado and bacon. The fries were just basic crinkle cut fries but a lot of them were thin & hard. The milkshake was a 10 out of 10... I had cookies and cream! This location is attached to the mall, but you have to go outside to access it. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. read more

If you are Kit OK spending $13 for a burger, fries and a drink this is a great place to go. I am not saying that they're too expensive, but they're not cheap either. However the quality of everything was excellent. I had a plain cheese burger -they call it the shake shack burger, a small order of fries and a lemonade. The burger is served with their special sauce, which I think is similar to 1000 Island dressing. The fries are crinkle cut and were very crispy and excellent! The burger was juicy the bun was soft but not soggy. The special sauce was not overly powerful. Next time I would ask for it on the side because I don't like a lot of mayonnaise he type sauces on my burgers. The lemonade was tart and flavorful. All in all it was an excellent experience. read more

Oh my ever loving God. This has got to be the slowest restaurant in the DC area. The line is wrapped around the restaurant and the single man taking orders moves slower than Forest Gump on downers. My group literally stood in line for 24 minutes just to place our order. It took more than 10 minutes for our food to be made and brought to the window for pick up. Looking for a quick bite before I hit the road for my commute home. I want a burger, but the burger place I saw is a lil too far. Hmmm. Shake Shack? I think they're overrated, overpriced, and only have bad memories of disappointment. Oh well, I'll grab a slice of pizza to from across the street so I can at least end the meal with a smile. 1 Star = It's Not Good 2 Stars = Something's Missing 3 Stars = It's Ok 4 Stars = It's Good 5 Stars = it's Bangin! Ordered the Bourbon Burger and a Mango Lemonade. Sat down with my burger.....and Pizza. Gotta text that distracted me and the people pizza is gone. Now it's just the burger and I. BiteIt's BANGIN! On my taste buds I take back all the bad things I said about Shake Shack. The at Bourbon Burger.....man, Oh my goodness. There aren't many places Bangin or Not I plan to go back to, but the Shack, I'll be back. So what was so good about it. The Bun...I requested for it to be toasted a lil more than usual. The Shack Sauce....I admit I always opted to omit it and go with the clack ketchup and mustard but now I see I'd been missing out. Slightly sweet. The Bacon Jam....Slightly sweet The fried onions, Nice choice The BEEF! Medium ...No patties here. That's BEEF. I also have to say as well, I'm a fan of their fried chicken sandwich and honestly think it's better than the rest, YES, even better than Popeyes. However the price. It's no biggie for me, but I can't see my kids enjoying one on the regular on their allowance, nor what they pay these kids now a days. Different conversation. All in all, loved it. UPDATE: changing my review to 5 stars due for eh excellent customer service! The manager reached out to me and gave me a gift card to apologize for the problem we had (which they had already apologized for at the time). It was nice to see that they really care about the customers here, we've been back several dozen times since and will continue to do so. When Shake Shack opened up their first Arlington location, we were very excited because we used to have to go to Nats Park or venture to DC for our cravings. This location is a part of the Pentagon City mall (on the outside next to Zara). You have to go outside in order to access it. My son is a big burger lover so Shake Shack is one of go-to spots for dinner. Parking could be easier (and ideally free) but I guess you can't really expect that in Arlington. The restaurant itself is a decent size and they have outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. The menu is basic, I go with the Shackburger or smokeshack, you won't be disappointed with either option. The prices aren't cheap but you get what you pay for, it's our favorite fast food burger. The service here is usually pretty decent (even when we found a hair in our food once). They replaced the burger and gave us additional fries for free. The shakes are always tasty albeit extremely filling. Overall, Shake Shack is always on point. It's family friendly and tasty. You may catch a lot of tourists at this location but hopefully it won't ruin the Shake Shack experience. read more

Love Shake Shack. Came here awhile ago and you can't really go wrong with this burger joint. They have awesome shakes and burgers, made with quality ingredients. We aren't huge fans of their fries but they are still quite tasty. Plenty of seating is available but it can get packed in here. Employees are all very friendly and helpful. An employee walked around checking on all of us, which was so sweet and caring of them. Restrooms are clean. So glad we got to stop by one of our favorite NY burger joints! read more

I've visited this Shake Shack a couple of times before & this time it was on a Friday night around 9 so it wasn't busy and we were able to order right away. We ordered a couple of the Smokeshack burgers. One of them without the peppers. You have a choice of medium or well done temps and we opted for medium. A nice balance of flavors in this burger given the pickled peppers and Shack sauce. Bacon was cooked just right and not too crispy & burger meat had a slightly smoky taste to it which was good. Ordering went fast and the people at the counter were friendly. Some steps above Mc, BK, etc. & definitely worth the extra $s. read more

First time at a shake shack. Pretty good! I got chicken bites & regular fries. My family got some burgers, shakes, etc -- including a strawberry mint lemonade. The staff was nice, explaining how everything works, showing me sizes and letting me taste the drinks. The wait wasn't long and the interior was surprisingly clean for a fast food place! The bites were really good -- nice and crunchy but juicy on the inside. The fries, also crunchy like I love! Not too much flavor but the perfect amount of salt (a dash). And the strawberry mint lemonade was so refreshing! read more

Used online ordering which worked out great. Store outside mall and prefer to eat in the mall so took order into the food court. Fast, courteous service. Cold fries , cold salty cheeseburger - Overall just really poor food. Never never again.

I'm surprised how spicy the HotChick'n sandwich is! It is not for the weakminded! I got the first level of spicy ... and I was gasping for water after every bite haha, but still really tasty and I enjoyed the coleslaw on the sandwich too. Another I tried was the shack stack, which is the shroom burger and beef burger in one. An interesting mix of flavors. The shroom burger is pretty tasty but i think i prefer eating beef burger and shroom burger separately. Definitely fills you up tho. I loved the cheese fries. Such a good choice of side. Everything I ordered was very satisfying. Can't go wrong with any of the menu items here. I enjoyed using the Shake Shack app to order. Was easy to use and made pick up fast and easy. read more

Shake shack's quality of food is consistently yummy! This was my first visit to this location and it was great - staff was friendly and helpful, and we ordered and got our food pretty quickly (despite it being quite busy). This location is extremely convenient because if you get hungry while shopping and would like a spot to eat (outside the food court), Shake Shack is a great choice. To get to this one, it's easiest to go through the mall and out by the exit near Zara (rather than park at the parking deck and walk all the way around). Unfortunately there isn't a direct entrance from the mall into Shake Shack. We got the Shack Stack and Smoke Stack on our visit - both were very good. The Shack Stack is the most expensive burger on the menu (10.95 I believe) and it's worth the price, nothing beats that crispy mushroom with the rest of the burger and accoutrements, it's really the best choice in terms of their burger selection. The Smoke Stack was good, but not nearly as good as the Shack Stack. It also did not come with lettuce and tomatoes, I had to ask for them to be added on. Be mindful also that fries and a drink are not included, they are purchased individually from the burger as opposed to a "meal". Parking can be tricky on the street outside of this location, but there is a parking deck for the mall. If you travel by metro, it's right outside of the metro stop, making the walk over quite convenient. read more

I was so happy to see that there was a shake shake right at the front of the mall. I attempted to eat at the restaurant right across but when they said there soda machine was broke so they had no soda. We left and went to the shake where drinks were plentiful and burgers were a much better deal. I got the double cheese burger with a side of fries. The food was ready quickly and tasted great. All my family members were happy and glad to get our food as we were quite hungry that evening. read more

The first visit- burger was raw, fries are cold, I asked for this to go, and they gave it to me on a tray. They had to bag it for me, as she did that she lost half the fries on the floor. I gave this location a second try, only because I do like the burgers from the LA/NY locations. So today (2nd try) Same order, they did cook the burger well done, but did not put anything on it? Plain bun and meat? Fries are cold... I had them redo the order. I'm not recommending this location, maybe if you do come here, be very very clear of your order! read more

Oof if this was any other place it'd be two stars, but admittedly I can never get enough of Shake Shack even when done wrong... Have had a long string of annoying mishaps ordering from this location and today was no different. The good: they are making quick work of the COVID-19 takeaway, briskly ready in like 5-10 minutes neatly packaging online to-go orders in tall bags complete with individually packed ketchup and napkins. The bad: Sounds like they could afford to take a little more time getting the order ready. Ordered online two chicken sandwiches, asking no pickles and an added slice of cheese. Turns out the cheese (which costs a little extra) never made it onto either of the sandwiches... but a pickle sure did into one. The other was missing the lettuce? Fries were far from fresh too, like they had been cooked long ago and stored in a box somewhere. As I said, not the first time I've had an issue like this here but a little surprising and disappointing each time all the same. read more
