Ottos on a Sunday morning brunch was a cozy and fulfilling experience. The menu is small, with a few brunch classics done really well. These lemon ricotta pancakes were fluffy and Cakey, the lemon glaze adding significant flavor. Coffee fresh and our service suggested the peaches and cream filled donuts made fresh. Overall a great stop in Covington !

Great experience at Otto's brunch! The cranberry limoncello was the perfect elevated summery drink and paired well with a flaky tomato pie. Quaint place to sit outside and people watch.

My new favorite place to dine in Covington. Everything about this place is charming, and the food! So delicious! They even have bombolones!! Can't wait to return and try dinner.

Definitely a cozy restaurant. The staff here were amazing. The wait time despite being crowded and having no reservation was super swift. The food was also tasty. I enjoyed the casserole and gouetta which I'm probably spelling so wrong. The mimosa was literally made with a slash of the flavoring so be careful when consuming. If I didn't have a 7+ hour drive back i would have ordered more drinks during the meal . I really like the cinnamon roll which was gooey, semi sweet, sticky, buttery, and savory. The frosting wasn't over the top and the dough consistency reminded me of a fresh baked pretzel. If you don't mind the sidewalk you may dine outside. Overall 4.2 out 5

Sixteen bricks brioche French toast and potato cake

We sat outside because it was such a beautiful day. There's actually a good amount of outdoor seating. Very friendly staff and clean establishment. The food is very good! I ordered the 16 bricks brioche French toast and a potato cake. The potato cake had lots of flavor. I'd eat 3 more of those! There's street parking and parking lots around the restaurant. There is only one small bathroom but it's clean! Will definitely return!

Otto's is a lovely place to come for brunch. The staff are so kind, the food is absolutely delicious, and the space is so nice and cozy! I decided to get some orange juice and Otto's Benedict, and I was really happy with my choice. I loved the hollandaise sauce, the ham, and the grit cake together. I think the ingredients really complemented each other. I think the portion was a good size as well! The prices were all very fair. I love this quaint and cozy brunch spot!

What a great breakfast spot! Ate here after the Flying Pig Marathon, so was a little more hungry than usual.... I recommend coming here any time, as the service was excellent and the vibe was just what you want for breakfast (get the Bloody Mary). Beautiful spot.

Hands down just hit the top of the list! Everything was delicious service amazing and the place was cute. We got the Fried Green Tomatoes, Burrata and the Brussels Sprouts to start and the flavors hit every bite. The crunch on the fried green tomatoes was amazing along with the sauce, was a great balance of flavors. The toast for the burrata was a perfect combination of crispy and soft and the Brussels sprouts no words... mouth still watering writhing this review, definitely the best ever. Even though already stuffer we split the salmon and the short ribs. WOW!!! Salmon was cooked perfectly and pair well with the sauce, I'm newly to enjoy the sweet potato fries and they were a perfect combination of crunch and fluffy, can't explain it; just try it. Shortly ribs amazing as well .

Went for my wife's birthday. We had never been there before. She found it while looking for a special place. Otto's has been there for 20 years. It was fantastic! Food and Service were Great! The only negative if you can call it that is a small changing menu. We were very happy with the options. We had fried green tomatoes and flat bread pizza. My wife and son had the Watermelon gazpacho soup while I had the Salad. Both very good. I had the filet cooked perfectly medium with asparagus and finger potatoes. My wife had the scallops and son had the short ribs. No complaints from any of all. Sauces were correctly paired with each. Finished off meal with birthday cheesecake. Smaller restaurant in an old house with large bar and outside seating. Street parking or garage next door. You won't be disappointed.

We had made reservations for 8:00. When we walked in, there were a couple people still waiting for their seat at the bar. It was very crowded and not much room to wait around. I felt cramped and thought oh gosh this food better be worth it. It was!! We sat at the bar, i didn't feel like i was sitting on top of the person beside me. There was enough counter space and the bartender was great. He made awesome recommendations. We started off with the cornbread (it was a little too done for me around the edges but the middle was great ) the brussel sprouts were AWESOME. I got the short ribs and they were just amazing. My fiancé got the scallops and those were phenomenal. We will definitely come back.

Quaint, small restaurant in what appears to be an old home. Don't let it's size dissuade you, this place is a gem! The menu is limited, but what they serve is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful art lines the wall and the bar is enshrined with historic decanters. One shelf holds a group of British Kings' Guard soldiers stoically standing watch over patrons sipping their cocktails at the bar. I had the soup of the day which was watermelon gazpacho, a flavor of gazpacho that I had never had. It was amazing: sweet, cold and with a bit of a kick. Lovely starter for a hot evening in Covington. Our table also had the infamous fried green tomatoes- which were phenomenal and the flatbread with "BRIE, FIGS, SHAVED COUNTRY HAM, MICRO GREENS, LOCAL HONEY" I ordered the scallop entree which came with roasted asparagus and shitake mushroom risotto. That night the menu featured just two desserts: pecan bread pudding and cherry cheesecake. Had the latter, which was nice, but nothing exceptional. Lovely dinner at a very cute restaurant that has been running for a few decades. Check it out!

Otto's is one of our favorite restaurants! The food, service, and atmosphere are perfect. Brunch is fantastic!!

Update- October 2026. We did, indeed, dine every month since Nov. 2025. Our excitement for this…read moreplace after a year is the same as it was on our first visit. We love the seasonal dishes Chef does every month. The two of us still order one of everything on the menu, and rarely does a dish not line up with our tastes. We have noticed that the amount of food in each dish has decreased over the year, which is not surprising given the increasing price of food. But we still feel it is worth it.

Decided to take my bestie out for her birthday. We like an adventure and this was definitely an…read moreadventure in food. This place has been on my list for a good bit and I am happy that we finally got to go. We had a 6:15pm reservation and we were able to find parking right out front on the street. Paid for parking in the parking app. We walked in and we were greeted immediately. The hostess took us to our table and asked if we had been there before and then explained how everything would go. This is a slow food place, no hurry and no worry. You order everything up front and then they course it out for you, dining took us about 2 hours and 15 minutes. It was perfect. They brought their house made sourdough bread to the table to get us started and the butter served with it was super soft, don't you just hate when you get ice cold butter? I do so this was a great way to start. We also ordered a cocktail to start, my friend had the Newport Old Fashioned and I ordered the Yunque. I liked the Old Fashioned better than the Yunque but both were good. Later in the meal my friend had a glass of wine and I had the 30A Margarita, the marg was my favorite overall. The menu is prix fixe with some options and included 5 courses. We started with canapés and this was 2 bites, a brioche toast with smoked trout rillettes and pickled onion, and confit potato, beet, chive powder. My favorite was the smoked trout bite but both of these were a great way to start our meal. Next up was the starter and here we had a choice of a mushroom dish or fish fritters. My girlfriend and I went the opposite on this one. I chose the Bacalao fish fritters with remoulade sauce and a citrus jam. Tasty little fritters but these may have been my least favorite dish of the evening. I also tried her mushroom dish and I thought it had a cleaner taste and I liked it as well. Pasta was our next course and we both chose the Duck Agnolotti with fresh ricotta and fried sage. This dish was divine and my favorite of the evening. My friend had the same feeling about this dish as I did and she said were we not in the restaurant she would have licked the bowl! Delicious. Our main was the next course and again we both chose the same, Catalan Seafood Stew with saffron aioli, and friend polenta. This was a seafood stew in a rich tomato base. It included clams, mussels, and a firm white fish. Another plate licking dish. We then were given a palate cleanser of a rhubarb peach sorbet sitting in a pool of olive oil and surprisingly this worked! On to the dessert course, my girlfriend and I ordered differently here, I ordered the chocolate eclair with the flavors of s'mores and she ordered the berry laden quark cheesecake. The chef brought out our desserts and explained them, that was a nice treat. She loved her cheesecake and I am not a fan of cheesecake so I did not try it but I thought my eclair was the perfect size chocolate dessert to end my evening. We would definitely do this again. The menu changes monthly and can be found on their website. In addition they have the Mercantile across the street where they offer their sourdough bread on Saturdays so we will be back to shop and take home some fresh sourdough.

After seeing my niece graduate from college, our entire family and guests, all eight of us,…read moredescended on Coppin's restaurant for brunch. Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

Going back and forth on stars for this one. Me and around 30 of my coworkers came into town for a…read moretwo day workshop and they got us a room block at this hotel. I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.
