    Chicken, Spinach and Mushroom Pizza

First, we also had the Hot Honey, Pepperoni and Goat Cheese Pizza but it was placed on the first tier making the photo too dark. BUT, let me be clear. Whoever first imagined this combination? GENIUS! The honey isn't what you're thinking. It was thin in consistency, light even, a perfect amount of heat that was complemented by the glorious cupped and charred pepperoni. That pizza was the first to go, easily. But the other was fresh, light and probably went a long way in balancing all of those complex tastes. I'm a pizza grump, usually deferring and opting for old guard Greek pizza. But Otto's has won a place in my heart. And the family sized garden salad (salad dressing? YUM!) is perfect. I'll end on what makes, or breaks a pizza...the crust. Nailed. It. I mean, nailed it. Cocktails were fun and delicious and it looked to be a very well stocked bar. It truly was lovely in every way. Thanks to our fantastic waiter, Zach!!!!

    Very reasonable price for Exeter

I gave up on New England pizza for many years because, in general, it's terrible. However, the flavor of the hot honey, goat cheese, pepperoni was excellent!! Unfortunately, the pizza was too cheesy and oily. The pizza is limp and cheese falls off. This is not my preference, I like firm and thin. The beer selection is great and, overall, the prices are reasonable.

Visiting with friends in New England, I was told Otto's flagship restaurant is in Portland (ME, not OR), and they have really delicious pies. They also have a location in Boston's Logan Airport where I could get more for "the road". We ordered their Ricotta, Butternut Squash and Cranberry Pizza. Always open to trying new food combinations, I was All In. To compliment our pie, my beverage of choice was a local hard cider. Delish. The pie was SO GOOD! The flavors complimented each other as you can imagine. I was looking forward to getting one more slice before boarding my flight in Logan. I highly recommend getting the Ricotta, Butternut Squash and Cranberry Pizza. You can thank me later. :-D

    A perfect cheese pie

Stopped at Otto Exeter for lunch today, and had a fantastic pie. The restaurant offers two venues, one side is for takeout and pickup with some tables available. This is the side adjacent to the court yard (outdoor seating in nicer weather), and the former Green Bean restaurant. The other side offers more formal sit down service. As we did not have time, we ordered a pie and sat in the casual side. This is the first NH outpost for Otto. We met Alex, the owner who promised to make us our simple cheese pie and have it ready in 7 minutes. I was debating slices as we were short on time, but I hate to judge a venues pizza with reheated slices or anything more complicated than simple cheese pizza. He explained that Otto's classic cheese pizza has dollops of sauce on top. If you want more traditional, with sauce spread under the cheese, you need to order it "old school". We did just that, and it was fantastic. Being a NY pizza fan, this was about the closest to to the real deal that I've had in NH. The crust was perfect. Sauce was simple, but delicious and the cheese was the star of the show. This could be my new favorite pie in town. Alex, the owner, seems passionate about pizza and is excited about the big crowds and positive reception, but acknowledged they had some long waits on opening. I trust they now have that under control. Otto has many locations, and he took the time to explain how things started in Portland Maine and have grown to the franchise today. Don't wait to try this one. I'm looking forward to trying the other non-pizza dishes on the menu when I have time for a more leisurely meal.

Pizza was great. Service was great. Ordered a gluten free pizza with sauce and they forgot the sauce. Remade it and gave us the "wrong" one for free. Has outside seating so we were able to enjoy the nice weather. Will definitely return

Great pizza -- thin with a bubbly crust. Great choices. They opened in Sept. 2022 so it's pretty busy at night, but take-out works great.

Unfortunately, I am a die-hard ramen aficionado and former New Yorker of over 10 years-- so I can be quite a tough critic. Points for the lovely atmosphere and cultural aesthetic... though the restaurant closes early on weekdays and I was informed of such the minute I entered the door prior to receiving a proper greeting. I had no other option but to order takeout and I would have appreciated being offered a seat, glass of water or beverage while waiting. The waitress stood next to me while I perused the menu so I definitely felt rushed to order and she was very brief in her responses regarding the most popular/tasty ramen options on account of wanting to begin closing perhaps? Overall, reception wasn't overwhelmingly warm... if it wasn't after 8 PM, I likely would have gone elsewhere simply off of the initial vibrations. Nonetheless, $40 later (OBA ramen, cucumber salad, ginger tea and I tipped $5... when I really shouldn't have)-- I dive in upon arriving to hotel to a very AVERAGE experience. The tea is not freshly brewed in-house with ginger, lemon etc... had I known I was going to receive a tea bag and hot water, I would have passed on spending the $4.50 (as the hotel has artisan teas). Cucumber salad is lacking spice, flavor profile and brine... just large, chopped chunks with a vinegar + chile concoction that lacks heat, reminds me of tajin (very salt forward) and was not marinated. It's a quick cucumber salad-- because it was prepared in this manner, the result is extremely watery because the flavor elements didn't absorb into the cucumber. I like cucumber salads almost like a kimchi... made with passion and spicy on the palette. As far as the ramen.... Nothing noteworthy. Cabbage, bamboo, corn were just naked toppings and placed on the ramen comparable to a salad bar. I like my elements flavorful and braised/sautéed. These were completely PLAIN toppings. Bamboo and shredded cabbage were likely canned/bagged respectively. Completely devoid of seasoning and umami. Tamago was cooked relatively properly but the rim was approaching hardboiled (yellowed rim with the jammy yellow center= slightly overdone). Chashu was actually lovely on the flavor scale but over-cooked as well and sliced in uniform disks, which seems as if it was pre-prepped versus made to order. Pork belly should be rich, smoky and more dense... Broth was short on miso presence but definitely edible. My favorite aspect of the whole meal was the chili oil (that I requested upon leaving... it was not provided to me without prompting even though I ordered my food at the spiciest level/5). It really elevated the flavor of the broth and I was happy that it was able to salvage the meal! Perhaps homemade? Perhaps this is an authentic ramen establishment by New Hampshire standards but it's a hard pass for me. Also, the to-go bowls should be larger to house the broth provided and to mix with ease. Bowls are too shallow so you have to pour broth, eat a bit, then add the remaining broth otherwise it will spill everywhere when you attempt to mix the ramen components. Additionally, a customer should always be asked if they would like utensils... I had to ask on my way out after checking my order for accuracy. Fair attempt but a far cry from stellar-- perhaps on account of not dining in? I just didn't taste the love and the authenticity. I've had many ramen experiences outside of metropolitan cities (and Japan) where you can still taste the craftsmanship and love in preparing all the elements. Sadly, OBA missed the mark on the flavor and execution train for me!
